I was waiting to hear from you, as I knew that you were a little downtrodden recently so I was giving you a little space. I'll have a review for you tomorrow, as I'll be handling it. I just had @Rawk work with [@Dblade] due to the fact that his char is in security and I felt that that worked well.

And I dig the "Keeper of Traditions" role you've placed her in and based on her views/beliefs of the "Old Religions", I almost see her as becoming the authority on even the Devastator's beliefs (as no doubt they too believe in something that keeps wars raging).

Some nations will of course be doing better off than others, but between nuclear fall and a good old blitz no-one is really doing well.

I was just thinking to myself "she's very Scottish" and couldn't find too much info regarding what the European nations became. How primitive are you talkin'? Because I'm talking about witches, druids, and shamanisim; in addition to a bunch of other "non-western" religions. Allowing a multi-religious witch to be a community leader might require some broken down community to live in.

I'm not saying you said anything to the contrary, I'm just wanting to clear that up. So her best bet to get noticed to get aboard the Ark is to at some point or other have contact with some relief work. Scottish works really well for the setting, especially with the highlands. If she's united a group of people from different settlements and has a knowledge of things that would work.

Be interesting to see how she adjusted to ship living, where there is less stress on religion and she doesn't have the same influence.

Which, as a reminder, won't actually occur until your colab is done. The character is motivated by the legality of the situation, not its consequence for the individuals involved, so there's no rush on him getting down there till you guys are good and ready to let Chizuru go; regardless of whatever getting to that point entails.

I know this is like, 3 days late, but I've had a crazy week. I caught up, and agree, now would be the perfect time for Xaith to arrive but there isn't anything he has to add that a security guard can't.

I'll be on Discord all day to coordinate, but the goal is simple: get Irons out of the security section, and ensure that Melanie is aware that the information gathered falls under Doctor/Patient confidentiality (as she entered acting as a psychologist) and is not something for which there is grounds to compel her to share with anyone (as the charges have been dropped), and that sharing that gathered info is a violation of D/P confidentiality.

Once these two points are achieved Xaith has no further goals in the scene (goals which he personally isn't required to relay), and will not impede any further character interactions unless they threaten to bring everyone back to start (Irons being incarcerated again).

2.) Her psyche eval has been green-lighted.

The D/P confidentiality is fine, but obviously they need to know that Iron's isn't going to suddenly become a psychopathic killer at her first chance. Legalities aside, there needs to be some common sense factored into this as well.

I have no problems with your two points. As I discussed with @Peaceless there is nothing preventing further investigation, only that this investigation has resulted in an impasse, and no further legal action can be taken based on the events that brought the character into custody. Anything that happens after her release is all up to you guys, and I prefaced that with the understanding that there would likely be consequences down the road based off of the understanding that she's not "getting away with anything" but rather this investigation was a bust (due to mismanagement).

This happens all the time in the real world of criminal justice. I prefer to think of it as... building dramatic tension for a long-running player-driven story arc. The stage has been set, and the conflict established complete with complications that have arisen. I'm actually pretty concerned that this is something I feel needs explaining to an advanced RP group.

The colabs I've been in so far have very much been a "you do your part, I'll do my part" affair. If I wanted that kind of interaction I could just go to short roleplay and have a back-and-forth short posting session.

There is no point to bring this up again. I like the idea that players drive their own stories, I never once said that "We need to drop this and get on to the actual story." Everyone there can confirm it. If you aren't happy with me, so be it but you need not bring it into the OOC.

I was doing what I was doing, as after speaking with different people I was going to put things in the direction that they seemed to want, I even spoke to @Peaceless after the discussion to clear things up. I said my apologies for this miscommunication, and said that the matter need not be discussed simply because it didn't really need to be raised again. Then once again you raise it again calling me out in my own OOC. I want this world to thrive, I want you all to have fun and help develop this world into more than the simple building blocks I have given you.

I want you to explore stories I never even thought off, I want you to do all these things. Explore your characters, find out how they interact with one another. Never call me out on that again, as that is what I want to do. I am not doing this for my story. I don't have an overarching plan for the tales of Admiral William Locke or Doctor Loretta Raidne. Everything they do is to give the players, and my co-gms things to do. Even ask @Rawk and @Heat two co-gms. I have not informed them off story points at their request so they can enjoy it the same as the rest of you.

I want you to all do things, I want you to have fun. There was miscommunication, I stepped in as requested. I stepped out as soon as it appeared I was biased in the situation, and I discovered that I had misread what I was told. If you think that I am doing a poor job as Gamemaster, if you want ask the other players and if they agree I will happily step down for you to take over.

You know you could've mentioned it earlier, dude. After reading this it is clear to me the two of us at least are not on the same page - And this is quite fine as long as the two sides actually discuss and resolve this. I at least am not convinced your approach to this game is better than mine, and thus have no intention of changing the way I write.

To me this is not a story I co-author. To me it is on character level. I write as a personality that I conceive as credible that reacts to the world she is in, her power over the world's events limited to what she can physically do. This is why I refuse to plan IC stuff in OOC, other than when I need to use some piece of lore that was not discussed yet.

And I also believe that the entirety of the latest events was caused by using a piece of lore that was not discussed yet.

Anyway, this should have never reached a point where you avoid this group. If my playing style does not suit you, we can end this local interaction right now and avoid friction in the future. I am pretty sure it will not break the story or any of your characters.

I do however believe that the question of civillian law on the ship should be discussed with the DM, in a manner completely unrelated to my character.
