@Gentlemanvaultboy@Lmpkio@Hylozoist@Bright_Ops@DracoLunaris@Etherean Fire@Simple Unicycle@Lugubrious@ToadRopes@Zarkun@Aether SpawnAll right, so I finally posted and there are a few things I want to say:
1) GM posts reflect consequences of character decisions. You are penalized for lack of tactic, so do not take offense to it. A lot of times I am capturing the thoughts of the current character I am writing for. They are not to be confused with my own thoughts. I also will hint to where your mistakes are if they continue to happen;
2) knowing when to plant seeds is a big deal in this world. I don't penalize people if they're not within range of phozons. It is when a character or group completely changes setting that the phozon counts are lost. So as long as you see me post phozons being available for harvesting, then they can be captured by the plants. If you plant a seed in an area where the chances of collecting phozons are very low, then that's a problem. However, depending on how the story goes, if a boss eventually dies in that area then you may want to plant even more seeds prior to a boss dying (therefore, you're gambling). Once the GM posts a boss's death, then you cannot plant seeds after. The phozons just won't count because once all the bosses or "possible bosses" have died, then the mission is over. Which takes me to the third explanation.
3) If you are a writer who doesn't normally post over 300 words, then do not worry. I forgot to clarify that the XP you are getting every GM post is just word count XP. At the end of a mission, the total boat-load of XP you get from all of your character's actions, contributions, assists, kills, etc. is totaled and given to you on top of the word count XP you received throughout the mission. So writers who don't post as much will still be able to benefit from leveling;
4) When I GM I GM. I am not going as hardcore as I will in a Delta mission. This is you guys' first mission. If you think I don't see the errors in teamwork, I do. They will be addressed more than likely by Guile at the end of the mission. Characters will also be placed into certain teams based on their performance. I will say the level of this mission is at least how I would write a "Charlie-level" mission. The possibility of a player character dying is moderate as opposed to high in a Delta mission. I do not make the bosses or boss-level characters pushovers. I make you have to see the strengths and weaknesses and learn to take advantage of the weaknesses and any opportunity that presents itself to land a successful strike. You must know where your character is. Having a character move around and even you not knowing where he or she is, is pointless. A lot of damage will be ignored because not even the GM will know where your character is. Know where your character is, know where the enemy is, and know where the objective is otherwise you're writing blind.
That's all I have to say. Nearing the end of this mission, I'll re-open recruiting and applications to get us more players. Right now, I'm using this period to see who all the dedicated players are. Any player who is still around by the end of this mission is worth keeping. Those who go AWOL and disappear, I do not care for because that tells me that they would have disappeared any way throughout the game. I only care about dedicated players and so I thank all those who are sticking around and enjoying watching their characters develop. After this mission, there will be a brief sandbox period where players can go out into Platform City and relax. There will be a "Smash Arena" event that players can choose to participate in. We'll then gather up all the new recruits (to include second characters) for the next mission. Welp, that's all for me informing you all of what's happening and what's going to happen in the future. :D
