HokumPocus RATS WE'RE THE RATS WE ARE THE RATS

Jessica pouted a bit at having her genius theory ignored. She thought about holding on to the idea and testing it out by asking the villagers if this was Texas, before her goldfish attention span set the coherent string of thoughts on fire and replaced them with the iCarly theme song. This in turn made the girl even more excited for the upcoming challenge.

"HECK yeah we're ready to go! And HECK yeah we're ready to fight some gobble-ins!" Her left arm clasped her bicep, and her right arm shot up as if it was the strongest weapon in the world. Jessica "Punch-em" Parker would soon show the world why she was forced to wear a straight-jacket during anger management therapy sessions.

First Errand

The drinking well’s location was not far; the water foundation could be found on top of a lush hilltop. At the hill, the town still remained in view. An ogre so close to the town only showed the distress of the mission. After conquering the hill, the applicants for the mission noticed the foul beast and the drinking well.

By closer inspection, the ogre found himself at home. He calmly sat on a giant rock. A warm campfire sizzled in front of him. Above the fire, a dead pig was tied to a stick in order to roast. The ogre rotated the pig in order to cook all the sides evenly. The ogre made an immediate stop when noticing the group of people in his peripheral vision.

He stood up with a heavy grunt. With a sluggish walk, he approached the drinking well and pulled a giant hammer from behind. The ogre appeared grotesque and gigantic. The monster stood around 6 feet and a half; this particularly ogre possibly belonged to a smaller breed. Even though, the ogre must have an intellectual standing given its appearance. Chains wrapped around his torso and his bottom half was covered in a loincloth.

”Two pigs for water,” he grunted. This must be the negotiation price he set to the villagers.

The adventures traveled a bit of distance in order to find the bridge mentioned in the board post. Luckily, a concrete path did lead them to their destination. The bridge was along the way and did not ask them to travel outside civilization. The town did appear out of focus once the group found the bridge.

Nothing impressive remained about the structure. The bridge was made out of cobblestone and might have been 3 yards in length. Inspecting the area, the adventurers stepped onto the bridge. The place seemed too quiet if goblins lurked around.

Sure enough, a goblin appeared on the other side of the bridge. The devilish creature jumped around and began making incoherent noises. A black cloak wrapped around its green body. Two of its pointy ears poked out of the pointy hat it was wearing. The goblin drooled uncontrollably.

”Give me all your belongings or you die!”

The party of two had the most distance to make in order to reach the cave. To make matters worse, the cave was out of the town’s vision. Unlike the other parties, the two adventures could not see the town. They passed through sections of trees before finding the cave entrance.

Pieces of fabric belonging to the man who lost the ring were found on the floor. The best probability was the man found hostiles. Approaching closer, dozens of bats poured out of the hole. They were spooked by something inside.

Olive slowly followed behind the others in her group, slowing down further as they approached the ogre. "Two pigs for water," it demanded.

The scrawny arcanist glanced around furitively before squeaking out a quiet "...Wh-What?"

As soon as the little green man appeared in front of the trio, Jessica began to question her surroundings. While she would usually chalk this up to drug-induced hallucinations, the unchanged appearances of her teammates proved that her mind was unaltered. Hollow and dysfunctional, but unaltered.

As she arranged the drawings in her head to form a sentence, the goblin spoke beneath a small dark cloak, its voice raspy and gleeful. ”Give me all your belongings or you die!”

It was hard for Jessica to hate something. It was an emotion mostly reserved to things that would greatly confuse her. But thievery was one of the worst things in her mind second to none, even though a lot of things were. She didn't really understand lists. Stopping a mugger was what caused her to die young, and she wasn't the type of person to learn through experiences so quickly.

"Hey birdbrain! Why don't you pick on someone your own size!"

Of course, they were giants compared to the green figure, but the brawler didn't really understand figurative language outside of phrases in action movies. She looked to her left, and thought about how important sword guy's sword was to him. She looked to her right, and thought about how Haruka probably had some naruto stars in a fanny pack somewhere, and how valuable those were to her. She looked to her left again, at what was most likely several more goblins near the bridge preparing to assault them. Nah, that's dumb. It's just him.

Jessica began to charge at the black figure, her right fist's usual strength being prepped by a special magic that the girl wasn't yet aware of. She let out a simple warcry of "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!"
