@hagroden Technically yes, you may wish to edit your CS. I've tried incorporated MOST of what people wrote on their CS into the lists. After tweaking, balancing, etc of course. If you see something you'd like that isn't listed, let me know/
Hastily made quick reference for current characters and classes. Yeah, we have a lot of damagers right now, heh.
And only one of them, the mage, is ranged.
I believe, at this moment, it is appropriate for me to have at least three monsters. I can make each monster be a different type. For instance, one fairy creature heals while another overweight monster soaks up damage. It's up to everyone what they would like. I see a support creature is needed.
@HueMan Didn't had much time, but I'll actually try to do these for every class or at least a bunch of them. I'm heavily taking inspiration from other games (Cabal Online, LoL, World of Warcraft) and so far, I think it functions well with the roleplay. One thing to keep in mind, is the actual usage of those actions. Players need to be careful, as mana is apparently a very important resource.
If we do get any knights, the idea with Provoke/Taunt is that: Provoke should be usable on bosses even, while taunt is a more generic/catch all skill.
Another suggestion is that you list those together with the classes and make a separate section for generic actions only. This makes it easier to keep track of them and all that jazz.
Hopefully, I'm not becoming bothersome by now XD
Parry (1/Swordsman) - A simple quick move that deflects a single physical attack. 50MP, 35CD. Lunge (5/Swordsman) - The user lunges forward with their sword, impaling the first target hit. Distance and speed are dictated by agility, damage by strength. 100MP, 60CD. Flurry (7/Swordsman) - The user slashes and impales with their sword in a flurry of motions, dealing moderate damage. May occasionally hit more than a single foe. 100MP, 60CD. Disarm (7/Swordsman) - (Only usable on humanoid foes carrying weapons) The user with their superior swordsmanship utilizes a quick, skillful motion to disarm their foe, negating their weapon damage until the foe picks it up again. 180MP, 120CD. Arc Slash (15/Swordsman) - The user slashes in front of them, sending a powerful arc that travels linearly. It deals heavy physical damage based on strength and weapon. 300MP, 120CD.
Parry (30/Knight) - The user uses their blade in a defensive manner, parrying any physical attack and reflecting any harmful magic cast if timed correctly. 30MP, 45CD. Demotivate (30/Knight) - The user speaks harshly against their foe, using their own knightly presence to intimidate and demotivate them. Reduces damage dealt by 33%, higher intelligence foes may negate the reduction percentage. 180MP, 120CD. Provoke (30/Knight) - The user provokes an enemy into attacking them, forcibly becoming their target until either the caster or the foe is defeated. Provoke is not as functional when used against a player. 400MP, 300CD. Taunt (30/Knight) - The user taunts any foe within a small radius around them, forcing them to target the user instead. 300MP, 180CD.

The only thing that gets me curious is if the character immediately starts with all these monsters right off the bat. Of course, it'd be pretty essential to have someone that flexible, but realistically it'd take a while to seek those monsters and tame them.
Which, if we consider this is meant to be a long roleplay which'll take some effort after all, is not a problem at all. I'm sure our characters can all achieve grand feats with due time. (:
I was torn between a couple of the classes but I decided to go with the mage and eventually become a rune-chanter to support the team archer class,
Reylan
"I know I left my arrows somewhere..."
Name: Reylan | Desmond Anderson
Title: None
Age: 20 Gender:Male Race: Human
Desmond sometimes wishes that when he was born that his father would have just disappeared or just paid the child support and left him alone. His mother was only 19 when she had him while still going through college and working to support him while his Dad partied and drunk his life away. The man his mother started dating a couple years later, and would eventually marry, filled the void left behind. Despite it all, Desmond could never turn away from the longing to have a relationship with his biological father and it would be the source of much misery until he would turn 18. With every promise came a devastating let-down later as they hardly ever came true. No matter how much he hated being over his house or the disappointment he felt too often, he always believed it was something wrong with him. Why didn't his father love him? It wasn't too long after his 10th birthday that he began to numb himself to the disappointment and sorrow he would feel by choosing not to feel anything at all. He believed if he didn't feel anything or get excited for new things, he couldn't be hurt by anything or anyone. The parts of his life that were filled with happiness began to slowly succumb to his new mindset until the only smile he bore was a fake act. Depression had set its roots firmly into his mind however he would try his best to seem 'normal' to everyone else.
Despite all the hardships his real father put him through, He was the one who introduced video-games to the young Desmond as a ploy to buy his love. Desmond became instantly enthralled with them as they took him to other worlds where he didn't have to think about his sadness and could enjoy just being someone else. His father believed he had found the cheap way to his heart but to Desmond he just wanted the chance to escape, a chance to pretend like he wasn't hurting inside. Each year Desmond found himself distancing himself farther and farther to his emotions and thus developing a strong opposition to any kind of social interaction. Luckily he managed to make friends during school, mostly those who had a similar interest in video games. Desmond never tried to stand out during School and tried to be as nice to everyone as he could and was hardly bullied. Even though he was sad himself, Desmond made every effort he could to help someone else in need when the chance arose. He was the shoulder others would cry on while suffering himself, not wanting to bother anyone with his troubles. His best friend, Robert, was a tad weird but he showed him the door into the world of writing and character building. Desmond was fascinated by the way Robert drew characters and made up an elaborate backstory behind each one. Endless nights of practice finally allowed Desmond to draw out his demons and write was stored in his soul. This proved to be more therapeutic than escaping to another reality with video-games.
Slowly Desmond began to made a mental recovery from all the abuse and suffering his father had caused him and his self-cofidence began to build back up. He graduated in the top ten of his high-school after struggling during one semester and was soon enough on his way to college to study Computer Programming, in the hopes of developing his own games to give struggling kids like him the chance to see a better world. He never fell out of the loop with games and was constantly getting the greatest and latest titles always fantasizing about the day he could enter the world for real. When news of Talrae, a revolutionary development that could allow for a full virtual experience, was announced he was one of the first to jump onto the hype. Desmond had played only a few MMOs before and never really got into any of them, but the chance to live in a different world was too great. Desmond made sure to tell his gamer friends from high school the moment he heard and they all agreed to get the game and play together. He felt an excitement he hadn't had in a long time when he slipped the helmet on and entered the persona he had been living in the virtual world all his life: Reylan
NOTE - Skills, Spells and Actions are constantly being updated with more material, so feel free to check whenever you wish.
@Leaves I'd say Trainers will start out with 1 Monster (insert Pokemon theme song) and have enough slots for 2 at level 1. However, as you may have noticed, you are allowed to go and capture Monsters starting level one. I'm still filling in the details for Trainer since they work a little differently than other Classes.
@Project No, I really appreciate your contributions. Makes my job here much easier. Also thanks for letting me know, I've separated out the Classes for Spells and Actions.
@Ithradine Your CS looks good. I'll post the prices for bow/arrows ASAP.

I will now and forever say "I choose you" in the IC when initiating a summon. You made me this way.
Okay, that sounds fair enough. One question was on my mind. Can I spawn more than one copy of a monster? I know an ogre is a bit strong and summoning two at once is overkill, but how about a crow? Would I be able to summon just one or a murder?
@Ithradine Yes, of course. However, this is just level 1 starting stuff. As the game progresses I'll add many more items to the lists and shower players with unique items.
@Leaves .... >.> ...... <.< ...... >.> What have I done. Just one, since the Monsters do work.... well like pokemons. So capture your monsters carefully. Of course if a Monster dies, you will then have an empty slot to fill it with another. Perhaps even the one you are fighting at that moment!
Oh god. I'm going to have an attachment disorder. I totally forgot that the girl's fairy dragon bit the dust by those gorilla creatures. I was going to name my pets individually, and start a family.

NOTE - CS and Class updated. EVERY Class will have some sort of special bonus starting condition, you can find this in each Class section right after Strengths/Weaknesses. Also only 3 Actions/Spells for starting.
Feel free to post your characters in the CS section. I think Project already has. If anyone has any questions about who is who (Classes, roles, backgrounds, etc) it'll be an easy way for me and everyone else to see.
Hi! After doing quite a bit of reading, I've decided that I am interested in this RP - and I'm thinking of playing a rogue! I have a question, though - how often will we engage in formal combat? I imagine boss fights, pvp interactions, and anything else significant would be written out, but if our characters are going to reach high levels, and if this is anything like an actual MMORPG, it will be necessary to kill quite a lot of smaller monsters to level up. I can't imagine writing all those little fights out. So, to rephrase my question, what distinguishes between a "significant" fight and one that can doesn't need to be given a ton of attention?
I just saw the price for arrows and I am so thankful I set up my skill-set to be a part-time merchant because I am going to need all the income I can get provided that is something I can do.
@Airalin Welcome! And yes... it is a rather long read =_= This is a good question and I'm hoping everyone will eventually read this. Basically first time or when fighting Monsters that actually are dangerous (Boss fights, fighting an equal or higher level Dungeon, etc) GM will be involved and we will write things out. However, for actual GRINDING of the game, players can take of it themselves. For instance, there might be a day where you can't post much, just go "I'm going to clear out this and this dungeon with these guys." And then go on a time skip till the end of the day. I'll let you know what you lost (if any) and what you gained then.
@Airalin OR if its a dungeon where nothing significant will happen until a Boss fight or something, I'll give the players the option to "skip". In which case, similar thing will happen, you all arrive in the Boss room instantly, maybe with some loss in health and mana but overall in decent condition. HOWEVER, if players decide to skip when its dangerous to do so, I might decide to drop you guys in a Boss room with low HP and MP. It indeed is a low-mercy. But it'd have to be fairly obvious for this like "hurr durr guys let's skip to the boss of this dungeon that's meant for Level 50 when we are only Level 20s"
So what class do you guys think we need? I was thinking of picking either a Swordsman(semi-tank), Tinker, or Rogue since we don't seem to have either of the two yet, But we seem to have a seem to have enough DPS characters.
We would probably benefit from another healer especially if another tank is going to be in our party (I believe this was mentioned earlier). A another tank would allow for a rotation of the two so one doesn't soak all the damage and another healer would help with the mana costs of running a full party. Ultimately it's what you feel most comfortable playing. A swordsman that can take a bit of damage would probably be the best for the party right now.
