Fia didn't like what she was being told by Drake before Kay came calling for them. She knew Drake wouldn't let this drop now this book had come into the situation. It unnerved her greatly that she found a book that should have never been found ever again. Now Kay was telling her that she had to go to LA with Serena and Chas?! She gave a sigh and wanted to protest but the look on Kay's face told her not to bother arguing. "why LA?" she decided to ask instead. "Serena has a contact out there and we've decided you, Drake, Serena, Chas and Josh should all go whilst John and I stay behind with Trish and work from here to get answers" Kay replied, deciding to keep Lucifer's name out of her mouth for the time being. "uhh...okay" Fia simply replied with a shrug, sending she was being kept in the dark but she wasn't going to say anything as she herself had been keeping so many of them in the dark herself.

Chas was thankful that for once John was being secretive about his history with Lucifer. It was for the best that Serena didn't know every detail about that acquaintance, though he did wonder if that was even the right word to use anymore. Before all of this and Kay came into their lives, he knew how much John used his less than normal ways to gain information or get his own way....sleeping with Lucifer was just another case of those ways. "okay, so we've got our plans decided, I'll look at flights out to LA now" he commented, beginning to head out the room when he saw Kay walking back with Fia in tow. "Hey Chas? To save on flights, I can open up a portal to get us to LA in a flash" Fia spoke up.

Drake waited for the girls to come by but he caught Kay’s arm. He waited till Fia was ahead and he said softly “I know of only one person in LA that mom would trust…are we going to see Morningstar?”

Serena said “I can get us there with my shadows as well. Especially since I know the place” John said “Fia does the portals drain you?”

Kay looked down at her arm then up at Drake when he grabbed her. She wanted to flinch out of his grip as she was still learning not to activate her fight or flight senses whenever someone grabbed her from behind, but she managed to compose herself. "yes...your mom and John think seeing him is our only option at this moment to get some answers or ideas. That's all I know." She told him honestly, seeing no point in lying to the kid.

When Fia walked in ahead of Kay, Chas couldn't help but wonder what made Kay lag behind, but it wasn't any of his business, so he focused on the moment in hand. Fia shook her head at Serena's question. "No, at least, it hasn't done all this time but then again, I've only opened a portal to cover two people max to walk through." She said honestly. "But if I can open one to come all the way back in time here, then I'm sure just going to LA on this same time wouldn't be too much of a problem" she added.

Drake nodded, his eyes showing his knowledge of the man. “Don’t worry…his safe. Mom and him go back…he owes her huge and he actually likes her. He isn’t…what everyone thinks he is. His…not a monster”

John nodded and said “Serena? Let her get you guys there, but if it’s a problem you get the back trip alright?” Serena nodded and moved to grab her stuff. John looked at Chas and said “would you relax…his not going to eat everyone.”

Kay nodded at Drake's words, if others were also saying Lucifer was their only option right now, then she would trust that. "just stay safe and keep Fia safe okay?" She requested of him, before walking back into the room everyone else was in, just overheating the end of their conversation. She saw Serena moving to grab her stuff, then saw Fia doing the same as John was reassuring Chas. She put it down to his paternal instincts making him worry.

Chas sighed, "I know that but we all know how much he loves getting in people's personal space. He's handsy..." He replied to John. Looking I er John's shoulder, he saw Drake and Kay return to the room. "everything alright?" He asked, "yeah" Kay replied, seeing Fia preparing herself to open up a portal. "Serena, I'm gonna need to touch you, like arm or shoulder or something so I can use your knowledge on the location. I don't wanna end up in a different place to you" she explained.

Drake nodded as he walked into the room after her, but paused by Kay and said softly “you and John need to figure out whose going after vessels of the gods…I think that’s linked to our problem” then he walked to his mother, avoiding looking at Fia.

Serena smiled and said “of course. Chas? You ready to go? Josh? You near by love?”

John saw the kids reactions and folded his arms. “That’s odd…something happened just now with those two…”

Kay gave a small nod to acknowledge what Drake told her. She made a mental note to tell John what Drake suggested once the group had gone. She watched him walk to Serena whilst avoiding looking at Fia and like John, she noticed the change in their dynamic. "Yeah, something definitely happened but I don't know what" she replied to John. "I'll get it out of one of them..use my dad voice if needs be" Chas told them both before looking at Serena, "yeah I'm good to go" he replied as he closed up his bag and sling it over his shoulder.

Josh came into the room when he heard his name be called, "I'm here" he replied walking over to her. "We heard everything outside the room, I've just been telling Trish that I'll be back before she knows it and not to worry" he explained.

Fia saw how Drake had suddenly changed his attitude towards her and was doing his best not to look at her, it made her glance down at her feet, upset that she clearly had annoyed him. But now wasn't the time to be upset, she had to keep her emotions in check. She could hear the John in her time in her head giving her a lecture about shutting off her personal emotions whilst on a job and he was right. "okay, we good to go?" She asked everyone who was coming with her and Serena.

John nodded then paused. “Hold on a sec” he slipped into his work room for a moment then came back and handed Chas an odd looking knife in a sleeve. “Just in case…keep that with ya and if the worse happens, give that to either Maze or Lucy and tell them to charge it up. They will get it…”

Serena nodded but moved to Drake and moved his face to look at her. “Dear are you alright?” Drake looked at his mother’s face, seeing the future and the pain she goes thru. Then the stab of rage that Fia could ever think his mother could have started all of this. He moved and hugged her and muttered “I’m okay…and you will be…I swear it”

Serena hugged him back and said “Fia we are all set”

Chas, Fia and Josh all wondered what John was about to do or get but when he came back holding a sheathed knife, Chas had a feeling he understood well enough. He took the knife from John and looked him in the eye as he gave his word. "Got it" he replied, "and John? I'll keep the kids safe" he spoke, knowing what a weak spot kids were to his best friend. It didn't matter if they barely knew the two teenagers, they still deserved to be kept safe in his eyes. "And you keep Kay safe" he added whilst Serena was speaking to Drake. He could sense the tension between Drake and Fia and he seriously began to get curious what had gone down between them both.

With everything spoken, put away and prepared, Fia saw that they were indeed ready to go. So she focused on the task at hand, made sure Serena had some kind of contact with her then opened the portal to LA. "Okay, just walk through but stay close if it's your first time, we'll see each other on the other side" she explained, letting Chas go first, then Josh. "I gotta go last or it'll close behind me" she quickly added, more for Serena's benefit than Drake's.

Kay watched on as they all one by one entered the portal. It was stunning to watch, to see what her future daughter was capable of, no...THEIR future daughter. There was no mistaking future John had clearly trained her well in the art of magic. Without even realising it, she found herself stepping closer to John and grabbing his arm. "they'll be safe Kay...I sense strong phoenix power within young Fia" Fee remarked in her head, so only Kay could hear her.

LA, AN ALLEYWAY OPPOSITE LUX BAR

Chas was the first through, closely followed by Josh. Looking around he knew exactly where they were and that they were indeed in the right place. "we made it, now to wait for the others to make it through" he remarked to Josh who sighed and tried to gather himself after coming to terms with what he just did. "I can't believe I just walked through a portal" Josh commented, looking around at the bustling life on the streets ahead of them.

John smiled weakly and said “thanks Chas…if you need me, call me. I’ll get to you anyway I can”

Serena smiled and said “go ahead dear” Drake nodded and walked thru. Serena said “we need to talk over there love…” then she went thru holding onto Fias hand so they didn’t lose each other.

John sighed and the portal closed and he too a step back, shaking in her grip. “It will be fine…has to be fine…”

The others came thru and Drake looked around. “Club won’t be open yet. We should check there anyway to see if Luci is home or not…” Serena nodded and started walking ahead.

Kay watched them all walk through the portal that Fia had opened before she watched it close behind them and all that was left was herself and John with Trish. She felt John shake slightly in her grip, making her lift one hand up and massage his shoulder gently. "They're a good team John, they'll be okay" she reassured, though she was more than aware that she was also reassuring herself as well as John. "We just need to do what we can on our end to distract our minds from worrying" she added, suggesting the only thing she could possibly think of. She didn't know why but seeing John so uncertain and worried was concerning to Kay, he always seemed like such an confident and borderline arrogant man, so for him to not be anywhere near those traits did make Kay see just how important this situation was.

LA, THE LUX BAR

With all of the group through the portal, and it closing behind them, Fia did a quick head count to see they were indeed there and okay. She didn't like this idea in the slightest but she also trusted this Serena and if she thinks Lucifer could help them, then she would take the chance to meet him. "If he's not then Mezikeen will be around and can tell us where Lucifer is" Chas replied to Drake. "So what do we think we can get out of this guy again?" Fia asked the group, but mostly Serena as she guessed it was her idea to even be here in the first place.

John closed his eyes and said “our kids…Serena going when she’s a target…Chas…I don’t like not going but I know why it’s better I didn’t go…I hate this…I want to help…I want to fix this…”

Serena was walking and said “he knows everything going on in the magic underworld. He knows Hell. I think he might have an idea who is going after Kay and who might be the threat in the future…I just hope his in a place to help us” at the club doors she found the buzzer and hit it. “Let’s hope someone is home…”

Kay listened to him talk, he clearly had to get it off his chest and she understood it. She spent so much of her life being in the dark about what was happening to her and wanting to fix it or be free or just plain be safe from those hunting her. "I get it...it feels like I'm partially back in the dark about what's happening. But I know one thing... I'm safer with you here than I am out there" she replied to him.

LA, THE LUX BAR

The group listened to what Serena was saying as they walked out of the alleyway and across the road to the bar. They let Serena take front as she knew Lucifer better than the rest of them, other than Chas. They all waited whilst Serena pressed the buzzer and after a few moments Maze's voice came through the speaker. "We're closed" she stated bluntly, before looking at the security cameras, "shit! Serena?! Get in here!" Her voice then said, letting them all in.

John nodded softly and said “Chas doesn’t like Luci cause his a major player…he thinks he has a emotional hold over me…heck, he doesn’t need that to get a hold over anyone…but I know his a good guy…he doesn’t believe it but…I’ve seen demons and even if he is their king…his nothing like them” he sighed and moved to sit down, rubbing his face. “Alright…let’s get on what Drake said. Saying he thinks this is linked to the ones who tried to take Bane?”

Serena smiled and opened the door and said “hey Maze, it’s been a while. I have a few with me if that’s okay?” She shut the door behind her and locked it again out of habit, showing she had stayed here longer then she let on.

She looked around and called “Maze? Where are you?”

Kay listened to what John was telling her. She couldn't help but get the sense that when he said emotional hold over John, there was more to it and the two men certainly had some kind history that wasn't strictly business. Though it didn't bother her in the slightest if that was the case. She forced the thoughts out of her head when he brought up about working on what Drake thought was the case. "it's possible I guess? I wouldn't even know where to begin figuring out that theory." She replied to him, stepping over and sitting opposite him. "Could Bane really be linked to whatever is coming for me?" She asked.

LA, THE LUX BAR

The group noticed how Serena seemed to know what to do when they all got inside, which didn't help Fia's suspicions that Serena was involved somehow in her mother's corruption. If she kept just how well she knew Lucifer and Maze from them, then what else was she keeping them? She didn't want to think ill of Serena, she was like a aunt to her, but she also couldn't let her emotions get in the way of how important it was to her to save her mother.

As they all looked around at the empty bar, they all tried to see anyone who would greet them in any manner. Fia and Chas prepared for an ambush deep down even though they were outwardly seeming relaxed. "I'm here!" Maze called out as she appeared out a side door up the top of the stairs above them. "Lucifer is on his way down. What brings you guys here?" She asked, walking down the stairs, acknowledging Chas with a simple nod but had raised eyebrows at the sight of Drake, Josh and Fia.

"And who are these people?" She asked. "Doesn't matter who we are" Fia said before she couldn't stop herself. "ooh..she's a firey one" Maze smirked. "you have no idea" Fia retorted. "Fia cut the sass" Chas whispered to her.

John said “he could be…might be something linked to the goddess Nyx as well…anything could be possible when it comes to” then he stopped and his eyes widened. “Wait a minute…Nyx is linked to Hades…right?”

Drake elbowed Fia and said “knock it off. They aren’t the bad guys here. If you listened in our time you’d know that”

Serena walked up and hugged maze and said “I’m sorry it’s been so long. I meant to stay in touch but when nasty guys started showing up I didn’t want them to come looking for me here. We need some info and help…we are dealing with a faulty time line…do you think you and Lucy can help? Oh this is Josh, Drake and Fia. I hear you know Chas already. I’m hanging with John Constantine as of late…I didn’t know you guys knew him” she smiled warmly at Maze, truly happy to see her.

As John replied to her, Kay continue to listen. But her ears picked up when John seem to have some kind of idea beginning to form in his mind. At his question about the links between Nyx and Hades, she thought back to all her teenage days of studying. "I think so yeah? Last time I read mythology anyway" she replied to him. "It's not as well known though compared Hades and Persephone as far as I'm aware. Why? What's your theory?" She said back, curious to what was going through his mind.

THE LUX BAR

When Drake elbowed her, Fia scowled at him, rubbing the area where he did it. She hated it when people did that and the fact Drake has knowing it meant she really had truly hurt him with her discovery and theory. "fine...sorry" she whispered back to him, clearly annoyed still. Chas sighed when the kids seemed to still bicker between themselves, "cut it out both of you" he scolded in a hushed tone, showing he wasn't in the mood for teenage tantrums. After scolding the kids, he looked back at Serena going up to Maze and hugging her, explaining why they were all here. 'at least someone can stay professional' he thought to himself.

Maze hugged her back before pulling away when she heard Serena say she was with John Constantine now. Raising an eyebrow, she glanced passed Serena at the kids and at Chas. "Chas.." she simply greeted, "Maze" he greeted back. Maze then looked back at Serena, "to answer your question Lucy is here, he's just upstairs, let me take you all up. He's gonna be so happy to see you. Surprised, but happy" she told her, leading them up the stairs to the private elevator that took them all to Lucifer penthouse suite.

John looked at her and said “but you are. The bird of rebirth…she was the goddess of spring and rebirth…what if…that’s what we need to find the link to…what if that’s what we are dealing with?”

Drake sighed and said “sorry Chas…just having control issues right now…” he followed Serena and put his hands in his pockets. Serena walked with Maze and said “how have things been going? Anything new I should know so I don’t trigger Luci?”

When John looked at her, she looked at him back, taking in his words and not knowing how to react to that partial theory. "I guess it's possible...I mean, it wasn't long ago when I didn't even think any of this was real and I was descendant of an original phoenix. But here we are" she replied. "it's as good a theory as any" she added.

The Lux Bar

"We'll get it in check, we're on a job" Chas told Drake as they all followed them up and i to the lift. Maze smirked when Serena asked what she did, "well let's see....he's smitten with the detective still, and still got issues with his brothers, so best not ask about family." She advised her before the lift bell pinged to let them know they made it to the penthouse. The doors opened and Maze led them through, "luci! Guests!" She called through.

John got up and said “I need to research the myth…and then there’s a few contacts I have that can help shed light on this. If I’m right, I might have figured out why you and Serena are linked in the first place”

Serena nodded and smiled and said as they walked in “I do like that detective. She can shut him up. Sorry about the family part…” when they walked out the piano was playing a fast number and hey soon came into few of a grand piano with Mr. Morningstar himself at the keys. He looked up and smiled as he finished playing and stood. “Well isn’t this a surprise! My favorite shadow angel and my favorite immortal taxi driver. I must have good luck today to get a visit like this.” He walked over and hugged Serena to his chest and said softly to her “where have you been? I’ve been looking all over for you…we need to talk”

He let her go and held a hand to Chas “it’s been a while, Chas. How is John? I’m surprised his not with you. And who are these three? You’re quite the bunch this morning”
