Kay couldn't help but watch John as he stood up. "Okay, so where do we start to research the myth? I wanna help John, I wanna know more about my birth right and ancestry as much everyone else. If not more so, if that history has answers then even better" she replied.

The Lux Bar

Chas, Josh and Fia all watched on as Lucifer stood up from the grand piano and walked over in his theatrical manner before hugging Serena then shaking Chas' hand. Chas shook it back to be civil, "this is Fia, Josh and Drake." He introduced them, keeping it brief. "John has other plans to work through, helping a friend in need, which is also partly why we're here" he explained. He really didn't want to give permission for Lucifer to use his power on the kids but he knew there was no other option.

John started walking and said “why don’t you do a web search on the myth of Hades and his bride the goddess of spring? I don’t do well with computers so you might have better luck. Let’s get the basics and go from there”

Lucy eyes Chas and said “do I still make you uncomfortable Chas? I mean we have known each other for so long…I figured you would have gotten used to me by now” he eyed the other three and moved to shake hands with Drake first. “Pleasure to meet you…” when he took the lads hand, Drakes eyes glowed silver and Lucifer smiled a bit more. “I see…well, now I’m getting a bit of an idea…relative of yours Serena?”

Serena smirked and said “in a way…” Lucifer nodded and moved to Fia and shook her hand then kissed the top of it. “Well aren’t you a beauty. There’s a fire in you I haven’t felt in years…” he moved to Josh and shook his hand and said “and what is it you desire?”

Drake turned and blushed, knowing this might be awkward knowing his father. Serena panicked a little, not sure how this would go.

Kay got up and figured his suggestion was as good as any that they had right now. "Sure" she replied, walking out the room and grabbing the laptop from the main room. She put it under her arm and went back to wheelie John was, sitting down and opening the laptop up before turning it on. She gave it a few moments for it to boot up before logging into the internet and search engine, typing in 'the myth of Hades and the goddess of Spring' then clicked search. Seconds later a lot of results popped up, almost making her wonder where she should start. So she started at the top and thought she'd work her way down the links. Clicking on the first she began to read, concentration all over her face. This was going to be a lot.

THE LUX BAR

"It's not that" Chas simply said, letting the man move onto the others, introducing himself. He bit his tongue when he watched Lucifer kiss Fia's hand. He couldn't put his finger on it but he was feeling protective of Fia even though in reality they didn't know the kids all that well at all. He just put it down to his paternal instincts.

Josh shook Lucifer's hand back, not knowing why everyone was divided on their opinions of the man. That was, I til Lucifer used his power on him and he found himself admitting a truth against his will, "to have my relationship with Serena grow and protect her and my sister Trish" he said, before shaking his head. "What the...?" He questioned, wondering why he even said that. "It's his thing Josh" Chas pointed out. Then it occurred to Fia why the adults wanted herself and Drake to come along, they wanted Lucifer to do that trick on them. She kept her mouth shut but she wasn't impressed with the backhanded way her family did this.

John was reading and said “focus on the story itself, any facts and details about how it happened and the causes…we need to match the details to you and Serena”

Serena smiled at Josh as Luci said “I like a true hearted man…seems your my sweet Shadow Angels man…you better take care of her or I’ll send Maze after you”

He looked back at the other two and said “Drake was it? What is it you desire?” Drake felt the power hit but it wasn’t bad. More like a trusted mentor asking his student what he wanted. He said “I want to save my mom and Kay..prove my mom isn’t the cause of the fate…and I want Fia to see me more then just a friend” then he covered his mouth as Luci blinked. “Interesting…time travel gone crazy again. Now I see your problem Ser…” then he looked at Fia and asked “and you dear? What is your true desire?”

Serena looked a little sick after that hearing her son’s words. So that’s why Fia had been watching her.

Kay took John's suggestion and decided to go along with it as she began clicking links and reading all kinds of different myths and stories about the ties. At first she wasn't seeing much that seemed similar to her and Serena, I til she came across one paragraph on one website. "hey, listen to this: "The connection between rebirth, resurrection and spring can be tracked as far back as ancient Egypt and the god Osiris. Osiris was murdered by his rival Seth, who tore his body to pieces and scattered the parts across Egypt. The goddess Isis retrieved the pieces and buried them – an act that brought Osiris back to life to sit as judge in the underworld. His demise and rebirth speak to his dual role as the fertility god who gave life to plants and vegetation while controlling natural phenomena such as the annual flooding of the Nile."" She read out loud to him, particularly finding the whole rival part interesting and possibly an option that could link her and Serena together. She didn't want to think that Serena would betray her and kill her or corrupt her in the future, but she couldn't exactly ignore that possibility either.

She continued to read more about Nyx as she was finding more about Persephone being the goddess of spring, rather than Nyx's history with Hades. What was clear however to her, was how it seemed to be widely believed Nyx was feared but respected by every other god and goddess due to her power over the night and darkness. "All I'm getting about Nyx is how feared she was...or is depending on how you look at it." She added, resting her head in one hand as she continued to read. It was honestly fascinating to read upon and after a while, it sent her down a rabbit hole of trying to link it to her phoenix kind.

Chas and Fia both couldn't help but watch on as Lucifer doubled back to Drake first and asked him the very same question about what he desires. The first part of his answer Fia was expecting, but the second part? About he liked her more than just friends shocked her greatly. She never knew he felt like that about her, so no wonder he was I credibly hurt about the clues she found, implementing his mother as the key to corrupting her mother. She looked briefly away from Drake, not sure how to take his honest answer that Lucifer got out of him.

She was now worried about Lucifer getting out her deepest secrets, something Chas noticed and went to stop but it was too late. Lucifer already asked her and she had no other choice but to reply. "I wanna save my mum and bring her back to dad because I can't stand seeing him just drink himself to oblivion anymore, even though my leads are causing tension between me and Drake. I also wanna be taken seriously as half phoenix and a Constantine" she added, quickly looking away to break the spell before looking at the floor. She cursed herself being made to tell someone what she was as she was always told very strictly to NOT tell anyone, no matter who they were what her bloodline is.

"Okay enough Lucifer. You're little trick is just upsetting the kids" Chas told him, wanting to protecting them but also aware that they all got what John wanted from the teenagers by being here. He still felt guilty about it though, even though this was their primary objective. He saw Fia trying to hold it together after saying what she did out loud in front of everyone.

John looked over and said “seems life and death are linked in a lot of myths…I have one here that says Nyx was the guardian of the seasons since all of them change over the night. The one who watched over the changing world in the night it her favorite was the spring for it was the rebirth of the world…much like a phoenix does…” he paused and said “in your myth…do you think the Seth is the one whose hunting down Serena and you? Maybe…whoever the role is wants Serena dead and gone…and your isis in the role?”

Lucifer said “it’s what was needed wasn’t it? I wasn’t sure it would work on them with who their parents are but seems the human blood makes it work. I can’t get Serena to tell me unless she wants to. But what she is I already knew” he walked to the couch and sat down.

“Come over and sit all of you. It seems we need to have a long chat. Maze? Mind bringing over some glasses and drinks for the morning light?” Drake walked over and sat, still bright red. Serena sat close to Lucifer and said “you knew?” He nodded and said “as soon as I held her hand. I can feel the flames of life anywhere. But I’m honored to meet one in the flesh. I’d like to meet your mother dear if I could.” He looked at Fia as her and Chas came over.

“But I think you need to feel safer around me first. Now that I know what’s happening I can rest you at ease. I’m an Angel. I have no desire to bring anyone to hell that doesn’t deserve it. And creatures of life really don’t belong there. So you don’t need to worry about me selling anyone out to demons. I’m the gatekeeper of hell, not their overlord. I know what the Bible says mix’s that up but you know how rumors go. No one on the outside ever get it right”

Serena smiled softly and asked “Lucifer…am I a threat?” Lucifer smiled warmly at Serena and took her hand, noticing Josh watching. He said with a gentle tone “you don’t have a nasty bone in your body my dear. If the future says you’re the one who betrays your family…then their got it all wrong. No, my guess is we have the old gods struggle in modern times. It’s never just two. It’s all ways a triangle”

He looked at Fia and said “now…you mind telling us why you’re truly here? What started all of this? Details are important”

Drake huffed softly and said “she thinks my mother has a hand in what makes things go so wrong…with no good reason to. Apart from a book she happened to find” he pulled the book from his jacket and slammed it on the table.

Kay listened to John as he read out what he found in the old books. As much as it was all interesting to her, it was also overwhelming to read blue to being so much information to try and compute in her mind. She gave serious thought to his question, and via what she had read on the laptop. "I guess it's possible..? But that doesn't explain why so many of the down world and demons want me? Or do they think I'd be more powerful if I'm forced to be linked to Isis or whatever?" She theorised.

THE LUX BAR

Maze did what Lucifer asked of her, whilst he group all walked over to his couch and sat down around him. Fia has to put in full restraint to not sit on the coffee table like she would have done at home in her time. She was also surprised that Lucifer already knew what she was just by holding her hand. It seemed her dad's spell work to dull down and disguise her phoenix bloodline to strangers, via a sigil tattooed on her didn't work on Lucifer. She listened to what he said about how stories about him have been dramatically blown out of proportion and twisted.

She really wanted to believe Lucifer, but she still felt slightly violated on being forced to tell her truths. "Depends on which year version of her. My actual mother in my time is kinda corrupted, being a demon weapon and oractically burning cities down, so not sure you'd ever get to meet her....this year's version who is my mother but isn't? Can't say if she would or not. She's barely learned what she is" she said honestly, not seeing a point in being secretive anymore.

She then let Serena ask Lucifer if she truly was a threat to humanity and it made Fia look down at her lap. She really didn't want to believe Serena was a heavy player in her mother's corruption but when she only went by leads she found, she couldn't help but be swayed by it all. Out the corner of her eye, she saw Lucifer look back at her once more, making her look up to reply to him when Drake spoke for her, clearly still very angry at what she found. "I don't wanna believe these leads, but it's all I've got so far." She said, clearly still upset that Drake is angry at her.

"We didn't know where else to turn and Serena suggested coming to you for help. So we all came here whilst dad....I mean, John and Kay stayed behind for research. But it all started when about three months ago, in my time that is, demons managed to get one over on dad in a distraction motivated fight and somehow during that mum went missing from our home. Next thing we saw, she was corrupted after not being found for days and was quite literally a living weapon on a metaphorical leash. The demon known as the The First leading her through the destruction. Dad has blamed himself all this time, won't leave the house or the couch. I had to do something so I kinda dragged Drake along to try and change things." She explained.

"And as Drake has just said, I found that book that I THOUGHT was future Serena's as it looks exactly like it and just kinda put the clues together. Drake says it's not though...so I don't know what to believe anymore. I just want my mum back..." She said, forcing herself not to get emotional in front of everyone. Her parents brought her up better than that.

John sat back and said “that one might be just the power you have. Hell goes after everything they think they can get their hands on. It might have nothing to do with Serena.”

Lucifer moved over a bit and rested a hand on Fias. “It’s alright to show your truths. It’s the lie that humans believe showing emotions is a weakness. Far from it. Now about the book…” he reached over and picked it up, looking at it. “Why do you think this is future Serena’s book? What is it exactly?”

Serena looked at the book, never having seen it before but that made sense if it was from the future. Drake spat “how can you even think mom would hurt Kay?! My mom gave up everything to be her guardian! Her whole life is protecting Kay. Protecting you and John too! How could you think for even a moment mom would do anything to risk her family!”

Serena moved and said “easy Drake…we will figure it out…I’m sure it’s just a misunderstanding that’s all…” Lucifer smiled and put his arm around Serena, a little too familiarly, and said “that’s my little shade. Maze isn’t she just the sweetest thing ever!” Serena sighed and said “everyone has had a few rough days…”

Kay nodded at John's explanation about why the demons were hunting her and have been for years. "I hope it doesn't. From what we know about Serena, she would never forgive herself if did" she replied, sighing and leaning back in the chair slightly. "The more we look into this, the more concerned I get about it. I am terrified about all of this John." She told him.

THE LUX BAR

Fia wanted to flinch when he touch her hand but she didn't. She just nodded at his words as she lifted her spare hand up and wiped at her face with the back of it. "Because in our time when I found it, it looked like her journal or work book...I don't really know what she writes in it. I know it's darker looking but I put it down to age or use." She replied, but then Drake made her flinch as he yelled at her. She hated it when Drake got angry at her, or when anyone did for that matter, but there was something even more painful to bear when it was Drake.

"I'm sorry alright?! I'm trying to make sense of everything as it's happening or being found! I don't wanna believe something turned your mum against mine! I don't! She's practically an aunt to me! You don't think this hurts me just as much as it does you?! At least you still HAVE your mum!! I don't, hells, I may as well say I don't have a dad right now as well considering he's couch bound, drunk and not speaking!" She then yelled back at him, unable to hold her tongue any longer. Her firey temper flashing through her eyes, despite the hurt showing in them. Like she was known for, she got up, pushed passed everyone and just left out the balcony, summoning her wings to go up onto the roof to be alone where she just let herself sob. She felt so alone.

"I just want my mum back....." She cried to herself.

John wasn’t listen for a moment, Kay’s words triggering a thought. He went very quiet as he was looking at his book, something starting to form in his mind. Then he muttered “what if…that’s what they want? What if…they are working together? If your rebirth and life…Serena could be the gatekeeper of the underworld…what if someone wants you gone…to get to Serena? So they help demons get to you…because it’s not a one way street…Serena protects you but you also protect her?” He was in his own head now, everything around him gone.

Drake moved to follow but Lucifer stopped him. “There is it. Now I get it…” he picked up the book and held it out to maze. “Does this look familiar to you? Say…when we first found Serena?” Serena blinked then looked at the book more closely. She took it in her hands and then said “holy cow. This is mine. But from years ago. I lost it…” she stared at it and said “it was in the club…I left it on the bar when I went to talk to Maze…it vanished…” Lucifer nodded and moved to the balcony “Fia dear? You might want to come back down here. I think you found our smoking gun”

Drake was so lost and asked “what is going on?” Lucifer held up a hand and said “I need Fia to hear this. I think she did find the answer to the problem but just not the context”

For a moment, Kay wondered if John even heard her as he didn't seem to acknowledge anything she was saying, but then he started murdering an idea, making her sit up and go over closer to John to see what he was mumbling about. Then she heard everything and her blood almost ran cold. It was one thing that made the most sense to her out of all of their theories. She could see though he wasn't strictly talking to her so she didn't see a point in replying to him. All she could do was think about his latest theory herself, stepping back to her chair and desk, sitting down. "so I'm gonna be a destroyer of life just so Serena can be grabbed.....well that's not very reassuring." She remarked.

THE LUX BAR

Chas and Josh both sat back as they all discussed everything, but seeing the kids arguing the way they did was just downright heartbreaking. If Drake hadn't tried to go after Fia, Chas would have even if he had no way of getting onto the roof easily. The girl was hurting more than they ever realised, and not only that, she was scared and vulnerable. He forced himself to listen to Lucifer and the other talk about the book, before Lucifer went out onto the balcony to call up to Fia.

Fia didn't want to deal with any of them. She felt so done with them blaming her for something she was only trying to fix. She managed to to bring herself to wipe her tears on the back of her arm as she looked out at the LA view, wishing she could just run before realising she technically already had run. To another time at that. "why can't you just be my dad and save mum?" She asked the sky, I'm her attempt to ask her version of John without a tally doing so. She wished she wasn't some half breed and was normal, so she didn't have to deal with any of this.

Then Lucifer's voice broke through her thoughts, making her roll her eyes. She really didn't want to go back down there but she has a feeling she would be forced to go down one way or another if she didn't go willingly. So she forced herself to compose herself, let her wings out and go back down, walking back into the room from the balcony moments later, her wings then dissipating once more. "So why do I have to come back in?" She asked the room, not wanting to look at any of them in the eye. All she did do is stand to once side and crossed her arms across her chest.

John shook his head and said “no…you won’t be. Because that’s what’s wrong. That’s why fate allowed the kids to be sent back. Something in the future went wrong and tipped the scales. Time magic doesn’t work all the time, there has to be a set number of conditions met. And I’m starting to get the feeling…someone in our group knows a lot more then they are letting on…”

John looked at Kay, still in his head as he said “someone from our side must have been the guided point for Fia and Drake to find us…someone made it possible…there’s only one who could do that…”

Lucifer smiled widely and rested a hand on her shoulder, holding the book. “You are brilliant do you know? I mean, of how time magic works and all the things that could go wrong, you seem to have a knack for finding the right answers each time” he held up the book.

“This was Serena’s…but it was taken years back from this very club. Vanished right off the bar…but look at it. What do you notice? Anyone?”

Drake walked over and looked at it and said “it looks almost brand new. If it’s been laying around and being used all this time there should be more wear and tear to it” Lucifer smiled and nodded. “Very good. Now…Ms Fia…you say you found it with Serena’s things after your mother went missing yes? Did you find it hidden or in the open?”

Serena got up and asked “Luci what is going on? Can’t you just say it?” Lucifer smiled and looked back. “My dear Serena. Fia found the answer to the question. For their plan wasn’t finished yet. But in her finding this and bringing it out of play…the demons can’t finish taking the future dear mother completely. My guess is…knowing the demons locked up in Hell, they have many steps in the plan. And they are following the old school approach of how to turn a creature of light dark. Only one way to do that”

He walked back to the couch and sat down, tossing the book onto the table. “Kay must lose the keeper of her heart…his heart carved out and his soul banished to the darkness. The one thing a phoenix can’t heal. But how can they do that with the guardian of shadows right there…”

Drake caught on and said softly “Serena had to be out of the way…she wouldn’t let John be hurt. Mom has been gone off and on trying to get answers…not been home…” Lucifer nodded and pointed at the book. “Serena of the future was set up to look like she was the trigger. That book was meant to be found by John and in his grief and rage, go after Serena on a blind bloodbath and that’s when they would strike…Serena taking the blame and the light of the fire bird being wiped out. It’s a brilliant plan…but now thanks to Fia” he pointed to Fia “that plan is out the window. You have time to figure out what happened and stop it here.”

Drake looked at Fia and said “I…I’m so sorry…I thought you were gunning for mom… wanting someone to blame and take your anger out on… guess that was there plan but for John… “

Serena looked at the book and said “I was reading it…back then…trying to figure out how to seal my powers for good. I didn’t get very far into it…since it was stolen… I never knew the other dark magic I there Fia. I only read the chapters relating to magic sealing… “ Serena walked to Fia and pulled her into a hug. “I’m so sorry…this is all happening because of me…”

Kay continued to listen to John speak, realising that even though he was in his own head, he was still listening to her. His words gave her hope that they could figure this all out and come to an answer finally. Yet that hope got dimmer when he said there was only one person in their group who would be knowing more than they're letting on. "And that would be....?" She asked him, still trying to mentally catch up to his thinking.

THE LUX BAR

Fia knew she was intelligent and a quick study, but for Lucifer himself to call her bloody brilliant was quite the praise she never expected to experience or receive. She rose an eyebrow when he said she had all the right answers, she just didn't realise it yet. She was convinced she was still missing something, but it seemed all she was missing was Lucifer's knowledge and the context that actually linked everything she already knew.

"In the open...sort of. On the floor outside a door in Drake's home" she explained, just before Serena got up and asked for Lucifer to just explain things for them, rather than being cryptic. Hearing that by bringing this book back in time with her has put a massive hole in the demons plans and created an opening to bringing future Kay back to them all made Fia's heart race. She couldn't believe she had unknowingly given them all a chance at saving their time. She looked around the room at each person as they all spoke, glad that Drake was getting what Lucifer was trying to say to them all. Which in turn was taking the heat off of herself.

She knew in her heart Serena couldn't be the cause of her mother's corruption, she didn't want to believe it, so having Lucifer say it's a complete set up was a relief. It was in this moment that she realised her own grief was clouding her from the answer she was holding onto. It was also a lot to realise by her removing the book, she had saved her dad at the same time. Just he didn't know it and not did she. She gave Lucifer a nod, she didn't need to say anything to him to show him how grateful she was to him.

When Drake apologised to her, she looked at him, getting emotional all over again. "You don't have to apologise....you had every right to be angry at me" she told him, just managing to not cry. That was until Serena got up and hugged her tightly, as she spoke. She froze initially in the woman's arms, having not felt an adult holding her in what felt like forever and it was that, that made her break. She buried her head in Serena's shoulder and just started crying, gripping onto Serena. "I'm sorry too Serena...." She said.

John looked at her again and said “the only one with the powers to pull this off…Bane”

Serene rubbed her back and muttered to her “you have no need to be sorry my dear…you’ve taken this all on your shoulders…I’m sorry you were pushed to act alone…”

Lucifer smiled again and said “now it seems we need to stop this plan from ever taking place. We bought time but now we must figure out why the gods over fate seem to think this was the best time to send Fia and Drake too. And who helped you get here in the first place”

Drake looked over. “What do you mean?” “Well time magic is not easy to work one way. Someone here must have set up a landing point for you both…but who?”

Fia nodded whilst still being buried in Serena's grasp. It felt like a massive weight had been lifted off her shoulders when she finally let all the worry, grief and frustration of the situation just come out in her emotional outburst and tears. She suddenly felt like she didn't have to pretend to be so much older than she was, she was finally showing she was just a kid still. A kid that had far too much upon her from this situation and because of what she was and who her parents are. She didn't ask for any of this, she just wanted to a normal teenager who loved playing her violin and dabbled in the magical arts enough to protect herself. She didn't want to be the one to save everyone, but here she was having to do exactly that.

As Lucifer spoke more, she lifted her head enough to wipe her face of the tears that flowed to gather herself once more, pulling away from Serena and folding her arms across her chest. Not in a defiant or stand off-ish manner, but in a manner to ground herself and get back to being professional. "I never thought about that part of it. I found the incantation to come back here in an old book in dad's study one night. I was browsing through the books and it just caught my attention. Didn't think it'd have the info I needed but it did. Right in the back had the incantation and instructions." She explained to Lucifer.

"I can still remember exactly how the page was set out if that's of any help? I can draw it out" she added.

JOHN'S PLACE

When John said it was Bane, or had to be Bane, she couldn't believe she didn't think of it before. "Of course ..." She replied. "So what's our move from here? Wait until they're all back and corner Bane or what?" She asked. The suggestions felt ridiculous but it was the only thing that could come out of her mouth.

Lucifer smiled and said “Maze? Mind grabbing a pad and pen for us. I want to ask though my dear fire bird…was the spell written in the book or typed? And if it was typed was it the same font as the rest of the book?”

Serena was wiping her eyes and asked “what are you thinking Luci?” The king of hell leaned back again and said “just checking an idea…to see if the spell was put there for Fia to find…by the one who helped these kids get here in one piece…”

John shook his head and got up. “We can ask him right now. Right Bane? I’m guessing you are linked to the house now…” there was a sigh then the shadows moved from Kay’s and human Bane appeared, his eyes glowing. “Seems we need to talk…”

THE LUX BAR

Maze rolled her eyes but went off to get a pad and pen just as Lucifer instructed. Whilst Fia kept her focus on Lucifer whilst he was still talking to her. "typed and yeah...exactly like the rest of the book's font. It's why I didn't think anything of it or think it could be suspicious. It looked completely like the other pages. Even the pages looked the same age as the rest." she explained, before seeing Maze coming back and dropping the pad and pen on the table in front of Fia. "Thanks.." Fia said simply, picking up the pad and pen as she began to sketch out on page the cover of the book it was seen in, then on another she sketched out the entire page she read, as well as the exact wording. It helped that she had gained a bit of a photographic memory for things like that. It took her a few minutes, but she sketched it as quickly as she could, then turned the pages to Lucifer. "Here" she said.

JOHN'S HOME

Kay didn't think that Bane would still be around, just assuming he would have gone with Serena. So when John called Bane out of the shadows, she looked to her right as Bane appeared in his human form. "It seems we do, what's going on Bane?" she asked him, surprising herself that his glowing eyes wasn't unnerving her like it possibly should have. She was curious to what Bane had to say, especially if what John was theorising was in fact true and Bane knew a lot more than he had ever been letting on.

"How much have you been keeping from us?" she asked again, really wanting answers properly this time round.

Lucifer looked it over and frowned. “You’re right…it doesn’t fit. We have this book in the library. An anchor is set up ahead of time and then the spell pulls to that point. Someone is setting this up…but how and why?”

Bane sighed and said “a lot. And yes…I knew about the kids as soon as Fia showed up to save John. I put the anchor in place when the kidnapping happened in Seattle…I knew what was coming. It’s all happened before. And I wasn’t losing another guardian like this…not like how I lost your mother and Serena’s father…”

THE LUX BAR

Fia let Lucifer look the sketches over, but when he frowned and said that spell should never have been in that book she felt confused. As he explained it more she began to understand better, also making her wonder who and why was this all set up. She tried to think of anyone who knew her parents or extended family in her time, trying to figure out who it could be. For a while she was coming blank but then one name came to the front of her mind. "....Bane...." She muttered.

JOHN'S PLACE

Kay watched Bane the whole time as he sighed and began to speak. She wanted to make sure she didn't miss a single bit of detail that he was willing to tell them. The more he spoke, the more surprised she was becoming. So he knew the entire time and kept it all from them?! This was not something she was expecting, though in all honesty she didn't know exactly what she was expecting. The one thing however that really knocked her for six was his last comments. He had ties to her mother...he KNEW her biological mother!

Wide eyed and shocked, she stood up from her seat and began to pace, a hand coming up to her forehead as she tried to compute what she just got told. "you knew my mother? The ONE person I've need to know more about to know my heritage and bloodline, and you've kept all that information from me and John all this time?" She questioned. Then it dawned on her his other words, "you brought the kids back here" she said looking at him.

Serena looked over and said “Bane? What do you…” then it clicked. Lucifer smirked and said “I always thought your god hound was more then he showed…his pulling strings to keep fate on track…”

Bane looked at her and said “I knew Serena’s Father more. Your mother was his partner. They kept the balance of things for a long time…but I don’t know what happened. I would have said if I did. Both of them were attacked when they were apart…my partner felt your mother be attacked then he was hit…I couldn’t do anything for her and for that I’m sorry. I didn’t want you dealing with my guilt so I didn’t tell you.”

He moved and sat down, leaning forward. “The kids I did set up a path. When you were taken in Seattle and Serena lost control, I felt the time line spilt. So I used my powers to send…bread crumbs to the future in case that other timeline took hold. That’s all. Lucky for me your kids are very smart and driven. I don’t know facts, just images and feelings. What I can feel thru shadows. I wanted to set up a path to fix this…”

John didn’t speak, letting Bane and Kay talk.
