[OOC] Ultimate One Universe: Emergence

@Theyra Hmm, i know Bruce and Sep already said they are trying to keep away from defunct timelines and alternate universes for the moment as this is still the very dawn of the Superhero age. But i think characters who have time travel as part of their backstory (Like Booster Gold and Bishop) might be alright. Worst the GMs can say is... Well, honestly the absolute worst they can say is "Get the fuck out, you're banned" but that's not likely.

In the instance of Cable since he's already technically introduced, whether or not we see him hinges not just on how the concept fits the game but how the concept fits @Pacifista plans. Solely because young Nathan is a large part of Janes origin story and why she is doing what she's doing, so to introduce Cable it would have to be done exactly right or as they already identified it could completely derail their plans.

The only other thought I had for a possbile second char would be one of Cyclops' brothers granted I have no idea what story to have with them and if again it conflicts with someone else, possibly Pacifista's chars because of Cyclop. Then, I will drop the issue.

So, I'm gonna be the old fart spoilsport here and say that, generally, picking up a second character is a terrible idea. It spreads people thin and, more times than not, leads to dropping. We've seen it already with some who had to drop one character because taking on a second was too much. It's been the trend for years and years in these games. I think I can count on just two hands the amount of times I've witnessed a player running two characters successfully without any issues arising in the last eleven years of these games. And it's particularly tough to manage when the player isn't entirely sure what to do with either character.

I know I'm in the minority with this opinion. Still, I'd always recommend focusing on telling a good story with just one concept opposed to splitting focus. But, again, I'm just the old fart spoilsport.

I mean I'm going to say at this moment in time you should focus on Slade, and the only way I'd accept a second sheet from you is if you were dropping Slade. Simply because you keep saying you're not sure where/what you're doing with him, and now you're not sure what you're doing with a new character.

Most people push for a second because they have a story they want to tell.

I am unsure what I can do next with Deadpool. I was planning on him interacting with Deathstroke or perhaps Wolverine, but I am uncertain if I should hold onto that and establish more of his relationship with Vanessa or meet Domino again and then work together. Would I be able to get some help with some ideas? Also, work has been very stressful this week, so it might take me a little longer to get my post out. Sorry.

It would be nice to see his relationship with Vanessa develop a bit too, I've not really read many Deadpool comics in my time but she's a pretty central character in the movies so it might give him a good character arc to have something more to fight for than just money if you involve her in the greater storyline?

Mmm i was thinking she could be kidnapped by William Stryker to be experimented on. Or tortured for some reason. And Deadpool along with Domino has to save her. I can also build more on his relationship with her. Maybe have her introduce him to other mutants.
