@BCTheEntityThe wetsuits are fine, as are most things they wore before they ended up in the Underlake. The various other pieces of equipment are trashed.

@Major Ursa Okay, thank you.

EDIT: Oh, nearly forgot to ask: how does a human's Soul colour affect the way they fight? For instance, would Rodney be in perpetual Shooter Mode, or Nina in perpetual Trap Mode?

Alright, soul effects as I see it...a work in progress, as you might have noticed. If you want to negotiate for something else, I'm open to that.
Their death can reset the timeline back to their recent SAVE, and everyone back to their positions at the time of their recent SAVE.
Can move through normal attacks, but no orange of cyan attacks.
Can attack normal attacks, destroying part of them...and if cut through enough, can directly attack the enemy once in the turn.
Can deflect attacks, and regenerates some each turn. With passively heal a team mate if they are also involved in the encounter.
Can stay still and not get hit by normal attacks, but can still take damage from orange and cyan attacks.
Is effected by gravity...wait, what?
They are stuck on a trap grid, but are able to set a trap on the grid once per turn to catch an enemy attack to possibly return/retaliate the next turn.

@Major Ursa Looks pretty interesting. I might have suggested keeping all the canon Soul Modes for each type of Soul and/or color change, then just adding in new modes for orange and cyan; I was thinking that maybe an Orange Soul possesses Rocket Mode, forcing it to keep moving in one of the four cardinal directions a la Snake during the opponent's attack, whilst a Cyan Soul has Patience Mode, locking it in place like a Green Soul or any other Soul in Shield Mode, but letting the user move the enemy's attacks around it semi-freely rather than moving to avoid attacks like most of the other Soul colours. But I mean, whatever works.

i think this depends on what @Major Ursa decided your player kept or not. Since Ursa said my character had everything but the pendant, i assumed that meant she got to keep the wet suit. i hope that the characters are allowed to keep their wet suits.. as without them, they would all be in bathing suits. I can't imagine them surviving in underground caverns for very long in only bathing suits.they will be sure to freeze to death considering it is an underground cave.. that stuff is cold.. and little to no sunshine would get in. I am assuming monsters evolved to combat the cold.. but humans.. not so much. Unless there is some kind of secret underground steam volcano area which heats up caves system during the day or something

EDIT:
ignore me.. apparently my internet didn't update when people posted.. sorry about that.

EDIT 2:
Ps, BC, i love your idea with the orange soul. Considering i kind of imagined Xaria as an impatient person who cant sit still, this is something i can work with.

@Draconequis Thanks for the good review of the proposed Soul Modes. To cover your argument for "caves are cold", I think it's actually the case that the average temperature of any given underground location on the planet increases the further down you go, so if anything, this cave system would end up being relatively warm without something being in place to deliberately keep it cool. Just a thought.

I would assume the cave isnt horribly far down. Plus theres literally no sun down there. Id say its reasonable to assume its pretty cold.

Ursa, how do you weigh in?

@Kafka Komedy To be fair, the players did have to swim down far enough that they stopped seeing light underwater. That suggests a pretty significant distance downward. I have a link here about it, etcetera.

Good point. I think i agree with you on this. Probably maybe just that starting area should be cold? I dunno, dont wanna discount any posts

@BCTheEntity

point taken. it depends on how far they have gone underground and where this cave is located if it will be semi-warm or not. I have been to a few caves before. From what i have seen and done, they are always significantly colder than outside because there is no sunlight to warm it up.
From what i have researched about caves: The only way heat may enter a cave is from overlying rock, underlying rock, air flowing into the cave, and water flowing into the cave. Seasonal temperature fluctuations above the surface of up to 80°F are reduced to only l°F at a depth of about 50 feet. Considering in some areas the overlying rock is very high above their heads.. this method of heating is pretty much out. Also, considering @Major Ursa mentioned something about the chilly water, and they are clearly below a couple thermoclines i would assume this means water is not a permissible way to heat the caves. Leaving only one valid method of heating the caves. Since the interior of the earth is hot, technically the temperature of the cave would increase with depth, however this would only be in an area with a fairly high geothermal gradient. We already know that there is water flowing through the cave. if these streams are flowing from the surface, they would be what regulates the heat or cool in the cave. and the deepest they could dive safely would be about 200ft, after which it gets dangerous and they need special equipment. Seeing as none of them were wearing dry suits.. they probably were going to 100 maybe 150ft. (it gets colder the further down you go, and you can get hypothermia and die if you aren't careful)

Basically there are two types of caves, and this one is looking like its headed for a cold/ice cave. Though we could have an area like the Crystal Cave of Giants which would act as the cave's core and heat the entire cave?

@Draconequis I suppose that's a fair point to make. I guess chances are that it's more cold than hot throughout the Underlake, under those circumstances... then again, the Underground did have a variety of biomes, including a lava area at an inexplicably higher altitude than a frozen area (we presume, since Frisk was most likely moving upward through Mount Ebott overall); I suppose it's not inconceivable that Lake Mirth's cave system has lava somewhere in it for some reason or another. And with that said...

Accepted! The lava would actually be further down in the cave systems.
o3o b

Damn, you guys are really thinking about this! They aren't frozen, yet, and determination should be keeping them plenty warm! I mean, think about Frisk running around after leaving the ruins! (Then again, this could be a final hallucination before they freeze to death, the monsters not at all being real...theory theory theory theory theo-)

Shoulda mentioned, but there is a dark cave, and there is a crevice with their source of light, where the cooler air is leaking from.

@Eviledd1984 Hey, Edd, buddy? You kind of forgot to put your character into the Characters section of the thread. We don't know about any "Bow the Spider" yet. He's certainly not been talked about much, at least.
