Their treck to the grocery store was a quick and productive one. As usual 2 bags filled with goodies were bought and munchies were all prepared. After quickly getting back to the house, Amelia and Nate went to the kitchen to procure the coveted glasses, plates and cups to place all the munchies on. She was glad to have the help since it was frankly a lot of munchies they might have gotten overboard this time, but hey it was going to eaten all anyways. Finally the other three joined in carrying the tableware over to the living room where the D&D session was going to take place. The table was already covered with a good amount of gaming stuff. The character sheets were there, maps of areas, empty sheets and the cardboard box where they threw the dice so they can be sure they wouldn't roll off the table. Everything was prepared.

“Alright let's get the game on the road...” Jason stated as he took the GM seat and the others lined across the other seats.” Okey wait... Amelia didn't we make you a new character after your last one kicked the bucket?” Jason suddenly asked as he noticed that she was pointing at her sheet and trying to get the chance to tell him that he gave her the old sheet.

“Yeah we did! You took it with that pile of old maps and said you'd add it to the pile later!” She replied to him and Jasom made a conflicted expression while he was trying to remember what he did with it.

” Ohh...” He muttered as his expression turned grim.” It was with those old scrap maps... I threw this out since my little sister scribbled all over them. Sorry... Seems we will need to quickly make you a new one... Where were the blank character sheets...” He mumbled rummaging through the piles of paper he had with him.

“Dammit Jason why is it always Amelia's characters that you lose? This is the third!” Sylvie stated shacking her head in desperation.

“Bad luck! It's the gremlins!” He excused himself before Guy whacked him on the back of the head.

“Gremlins are for machinery.” Guy stated. If Amelia was the generally quiet one from shyness around new people, then Guy was the quiet one because he rarely spoke to begin with. He was of the think real hard before speaking kinds of guys.

“It's good... let me quickly make a new one.” Amelia mumbled with a slightly tired sigh and quickly started filling her new Half-elf Inquisitor character. Luckily she had gotten quite adept at filling out character sheets by now. Since this was her third one to fill out at least because of a loss of a sheet. Aside that she had all the dead characters.

Eden

Thana looked up at Manny as she covered her ears and smirked as the homemade noise maker went off. Standing up she shrugged a bit as she checked her gun. "That's what's known as a Noxious Tornado," she said before checking around the corner. Tornadoes, something she had a personal fear of. Not your normal fear mind you but a deathly fear. Growing up in South Georgia, tornadoes were the worst. Especially with the trailer parks that dotted HWY U.S. 19 between Albany and Leesburg. From spring to fall they would tear down the highway and hit every one of them it seemed. Sure they hit her neighborhood as well, Glendale but she lived in a house house growing up. Her mother would make pies during tornadoes.

So it wasn't the fear of dying in one that got to her, it was the fear of what would happen to others because of them. From the time she was in third grad until she left she had lost a total of 15 friends. One to cancer, Chris... One died in her arms from a heart defect after gym class... Jessica.... One to suicide... Tony... The rest had died because of tornadoes. Ripping through houses and turning lives upside down. They were horrible things that left destruction and death in their paths. It was nice in an odd way to take something called a Noxious Tornado and turn its destruction towards someone she didn't care if they died, someone she wanted dead. Instead of her group.

Glancing towards Beatrice she made her way around the corner and caught up with the rest that had moved ahead. Three more had been killed since her little noise maker had gone off. This was good. There had to be more though, just waiting on them. Checking the room where one was dead she moved a bit passed it and came up behind Thalia. "Got your six," she said quietly.

As Thana constructed the makeshift Tornado, Beatrice took the bandana out of her hair and tied it around her bullet wound - the one that had been a graze. The one in her thigh she was fairly certain still contained the bullet and she was hoping that it'd work something like a cork. That was one lesson that she had learned during her time in juvi: resourcefulness saved lives. It had been applied to her time on the streets of Justice and even more so now, after the world had ended and they were living in the remnants.

It seemed to be a lesson that Thana learned as well, as Beatrice watched the magnificent explosion that Thana unleashed. She smirked slightly as she heard how impressed Gun Bait (Manny) seemed to be with Thana's abilities. Alex and Thalia had managed to land a few decent shots, with Gun Bait even getting to move forward. She couldn't help but feel like she was playing the odds of survival as she walked forward after Thana, her gun at the ready despite the immense pain from the bullet wounds. She didn't spot any hostiles in the hallway in front of them and she quickly looked over her shoulder at where they had been, seeing none behind them - just Gavin's body. However, her gut was telling her that it was too quiet and even though Thana had managed to get them an opening, it didn't mean they'd be making it out alive.

Jack woke up shortly after Ash nudged him, his heart skipping a beat. While it was probably nothing, he figured it was going to be something truly awful. Some had called him overreactive and he was known for jumping to the worst possible conclusions back at the Chicago PD - but more often than not, his mentality would often prove to be correct on occasions. There had been one particular case in Vice that sprung to mind. Everyone told him the random wedding ring the perp carried in their pockets wasn't anything to freak out over.

Eventually, the case had been transferred over to the homicide department, as it turned out the drug dealer was killing rival dealers and taking their rings as trophies. Jack's overreaction and paranoia had paid off. And in the present time, he heard the dog start to bark. It drew his eyes to the window and his eyes widened, as if they were about to burst out of his skull as he saw the thing of nightmares - a gigantic hoard. "...I think we're about to be Kobayashi Ma'hu'd...." Jack muttered, trying not to panic too much. His ex-girlfriend, Sutton, had been a huge Star Trek fan and she had taught him about the Kobayashi Maru. He just really hoped he was wrong.

Jack grabbed one of the bug out bags they had found the night before, as well as the extended first aide kit, figuring they could use them. He wasn't able to carry much else without getting slowed down too much he figured, so prioritizing would be the best. "Let's get the hell outta dodge," Jack muttered, before he headed out into the front lawn with the others, seeing that it was clear, and he went to the Hoardbuster, figuring it was in far better shape than their cars would be.

Alexander Polawski

Location:Eden: Hallway outside Men's doors
Skills: Pistol, Suppression Tactics

The situation did appear to be improving after the last hail of bullets flew down that hallway, giving the old veteran the time to once again take stock of the situation without falling into habit of shouting at the enemy like he was in 'Nam. That was good, though that did give him the time to feel the pain in his hands again. Alexander opened his hands to look at the burns and gashes in them, a sight always reminding him of bomb-victims, either civis or GI's, never a pleasent sight. Especially those poor bastards that got napalm'd, and he thanked God countless times that he wasn't one of them.

Alexander let the others go on ahead without him, setting his focus on their bag left on the ground. He got down on his knees and starting to search through it painfully, looking for anything to bandage his hands with. And that was when he felt something slip out of his pocket, the Pocket. His gashed left hand felt on the Pocket. Empty. Alexander shoved both his hands down in the bug-out bag, desperatly rumaging through it in search of his second most precious possession; his rosary. Clothes. No. Notebook. NO. Compass...NO! Just when he was about to do something stupid, his hands felt that familiar texture of the small wooden beads and the silver crucifix between his fingers. "...Thank you..." Alexander whispered in relief, clutching the rosary between his hurting hands and fiddling with it, before wrapping it around his wrist and getting to bandage his hands.

Thankfully it wasn't too difficult, and the bandaging would help him use his hands less painfully. He hoped so; He never wa a medic, but bandaging he thought he knew. With his hands bandaged up and slinging the bug-out bag over his shoulder, Alexander looked from the two T's advancing down the hallway and back over to Beatrice as she came walking. He didn't now her well - hell, he didn't know any of these people well by most standards, but she would have made Sergeant Jackson proud any day. And if some were going front, some had to cover the rear. Holding his new gun pointed down the hallway they came from, ready to give any Eden-asswipes flanking them a real bad day, Alexander walked slowly backwards after the group. "If they flank us, we've got to find another exit-route once that shit hits the fan. Sadly no cake-walk climbing out any windows like this, since the stairs is the only way down as far as I know."

The situation seemed to be doing okay, they had killed several of the cultist where they stand. Despite the issues that presented themselves. Like another victim he had chosen to let die, so that he may save the other. He had made a judgement call that had picked one life over another, thinking that one was worse then the other. Or maybe deep down in his subconscious something had told him that there was no saving that boy, that doing so wouldn't do any good, and that he was dead anyways. And trying to do anything about it, would only get them both killed. Maybe he had gotten so used to picking who got to live, and who got to die, that it didn't even register in his mind when he went to his knees. It would make sense, making on the spot decisions like this is something Manny had been forced to do a lot since everything fell apart, and people started dying from all sorts of things, just do to a lack of the proper infrastructure or the lack of the right skilled people. That seemed to fit in his mind. He wasn't sure then, but he now has that idea of what if he had gone for the boy instead of the girl? Would it be the boy up and moving now throwing home made bombs and taking charge of this makeshift band of troops? Would that be happening while the girl lay in a pool of her own blood because Manny failed to get to her in time?

he hated to think about these things. It drove him mad for days when he was in situations like this. Chances are he would think about it until it happened again. Until more bastards like these hurt more people, and Manny had to do the work of a surgical team with only his two bare hands on an old wooden floor. Until more bastards like these hurt people just for the hell of it. Until more bastards like these got into power and find even more creative ways to hurt the people he cares about. He was going to make them hurt for the things that they had done to him, and for the things they had done to others. He was tired of being the last one left.

Manny made his way to one of the bodies as the group moved up, and yanked a pump action off one of the bodies. Much newer, and much nicer then the one he had had before, much newer, and even better, the poor bastard who had owned it before, had spare shells on the stock. Manny loaded the gun until it was loaded full, and still two more shells on the stock. Manny wasn't sure how many shells it held, but more then four. He was also much better with this then a pistol anyways. He was ready to charge in guns blazing, though he stopped to think. He felt himself becoming irrational again, he almost ran in blasting his gun at anything that moved, just so he could get a slight feeling of revenge for something this group didn't even do? Granted they weren't good people either, but he couldn't afford to go into this situation without being level headed. He needed to take some deeps breaths, calm down, and follow the leads of the people who actually have an understanding for combat better then himself. Manny Eventually moved forward, sights aimed down the hall, ready to shoot at anything that qualified as another Bastard.

Ash Holloway

Location: Arnco Mills Safehouse (E10)
Skills: Leadership

"...damnit..." growled Ash, pulling on his personal rucksack. The dog in the backyard was making their lives perilous. He had half a mind to put a bullet into the animal and spare both it and themselves a lot of aggravation, but it was too late to avoid the Horde. They were coming, period. Maybe the dog keeps them occupied so they could get out of the front. Staring briefly into the writhing mass of rotting, putrid flesh coming for them, Ash could content himself with the fact that, at the very least, they weren't clowns. That thought alone, a horde of red noses, grease paint, and oversized shoes, gave him a sense of revulsion that surpassed even the Dead.

Ash grabbed Thana's pack and slung it over one shoulder. He could probably carry more, but time was fleeting and he had to drive. It was a short matter before that mass of Dead folks noticed that there was more to behold than a dog on top of a car and come a-looking. Now was not the time to fight. That would be suicide. While Ash felt the occasional bit of uncertainty as to his place in the world and whether or not he was doing anybody any good by continuing to consume oxygen, he was not in a hurry to die just that moment. He had to get his people into the Hordebuster and haul ass out of there. This difficulty had just moved their plans up a handful of hours. Ash's voice was quiet but soldierly as he issued orders. "Jack's on Medpack, good. Riley, get your stuff and the radio equipment. Tiff, Niesha - Supplies. As much as you can grab and still run. We got a shot at making it, but it's going to close in about a minute. Move out."

For himself, Ash made a careful beat to the Hordebuster. That thing had saved lives before, and it would again. The coast was clear, or so it seemed, so the Captain clambered into the driver's seat, tossing the packs in before him. He cracked open the suicide door leading to the sleeper section of the cab to allow for others to get in with minimal difficulty, but postponed starting the engine up until after everyone was safely on board, either in the cab, climbing up the ladders to get into the dump body, or in the vehicle that Jack and Tiffany arrived in, which he kept glancing toward in the rearview. Ash was anxious to get to put some distance between his people and these walking corpses. Their best bet would be to circle wide around the crater that was Newnan and make for the third safehouse in Moreland. It was time to go. Damn, but it really was. Luck was with them for a second or two there, how long it would hold out was anybody's guess. And if he saw just one fucking clown in that Horde... it was on.

Thalia Carmichael

Location: Eden, Hallway past Mens doors -> Coming to Adamm's Wing
Skills: Stealth, Pistol, Sharp Weapons

They were still moving. It was something. Being dead was not exactly the plan, and those who remained had been showing remarkable resourcefulness and determination in doing so. It was primal, almost. The idea of a no surrender, no retreat scenario in which the few of hers or the many of theirs would meet their untimely demise was not something she would have signed on for, generally. This felt different, though. So very different. Thalia had taken lives before. A handful, really, but there were people who failed to have a pulse because of her. This was done purely for survival. Right now though? Thalia had killed more people than she ever dreamed she might just today, and it was because she chose to do so. They could have sidestepped this whole, freaky dilemma, but didn't. Saints help her, but she was skirting the line between not minding the killing and genuinely liking it.

Her eyes remained focused on her surroundings, even as her hands reflexively went through the steps required to flip out her clips, first in the Beretta and then the Glock. It seemed fitting to use the strange man's weapon instead of her own MSS issued pistol, like part of him was there, helping her. Guiding her. Fighting alongside her. Astrid's shield gave a similar feeling. Thalia tucked the other 9mm back into its holster and carefully drew her machete. Spirits seemingly melded with the ash upon her face, soaking into her essence like fire caressing her soul, fueling her. It was a strange thing she had noticed about herself since this apocalypse started - Fire. She couldn't seem to get enough of it anymore. Not that she was stupid about it, far from, just that it had become her favorite tool, second only to the blade in her hand. Visions of burning this unwholesome place to the ground and letting the Zeds pick over the embers brought a smile to her face. God, but she wanted to burn something. She would have to settle for just the battle right now and let the blaze come after.

Thana's assertion that she indeed "got her six" earned her a quiet growl of recognition. Navy was still capable of fighting, if limited somewhat. A bitch like that would survive, and that's what she needed. Thalia could now focus her attention forward, to the corner that she had to go around. Quietly and quickly, she approached, listening for any signs of movement whatsoever. She simply couldn't tell, and resolved to rush forward the next few feet as if to "shock and awe" anyone nearby. She had close and far combat options, but she did so appreciate close. Her decision was rewarded by the view of a lone Edenite swinging a rifle in her direction. The suddenly close quarters did little to help with this tactic, however. Thalia was close enough to bat the barrel of the weapon away from herself with her machete and step past the business end, silencing its wielder with a quick lateral slash to the throat. She then paused, even as the floor pooled with arterial crimson, and listened with weapons at the ready. She didn't believe there was just one hiding around here. There had to be more.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Arnco Mills Safehouse. (E10)
Skills: N/A

Riley looked out the window once more as she started to hear more noise, and then spotted the culprit of what was causing all of the noise around them. It was a dog, Riley did have a fear of dogs mainly due to her being so young and getting attacked by a full sized dog she shuddered at the thought of the dog attack years ago when she was still just a kid. She still had a scar on her neck, though it had healed and it wasn't fully as noticeable anymore now. Riley didn't have much of a fear when it came to small dogs though however Peaches was probably the only exception however.

When Ashton finally spoke Riley nodded towards him when he had given her orders, she quickly pulled up her backpack along with Chloe's, Riley was never going to let it out of her sight. It was the only thing that she had left of Chloe after all, Riley quickly grabbed all the radios along with the radio box that was used for communication with the other safehouses along with her crossbow and handgun and her own pack. "On it boss man." Riley said, the moment she had everything in her hands Riley quickly made it out the front door and made a beeline straight to the Hordebuster and simply set her things and the radio box on the inside.

"I'll take the truck bed." Riley said once she dropped the radio equipment in the back seat figuring that they would use it while they were on their way to the next safehouse. Riley started to quickly climb up the ladder and then eventually climbed into the dump body of the truck. She then unslung her crossbow figuring that there would be a lot of stuff in the back seat she and in case if there were some walkers she could shoot from the back. Riley could continue to hear the dog barking, she did however feel pretty bad for the animal as well she wouldn't want to wish anyone getting eaten alive by a giant horde of walkers either, the day just kept getting worse and worse as well.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Sharpsburg, Main st. (E11)
Skills: N/A

Raymond was gratful for the man to let him in as he walked into the house he walked into the living room and then pulled out a seat and sat down. "Coffee or anything?" The man offered, Ray looked up at him and then nodded giving him a slight smile. "Yes a beer please if you have any." Ray said as he pulled out a small notepad and pencil and started to get things ready for some note taking. Raymond looked around the place and noticed a few pictures of some muscle cars, which was something he truly liked he always enjoyed the cars they always looked so cool and badass as well. Raymond then heard a small yippie dog coming from the other room and quickly made its way over towards him, Ray didn't really much car for dogs, not that he didn't get attacked by them or anything they just weren't his preference for the animal.

A few seconds later the man came back with a cold bottle of beer, which Ray was gratful for and accepted it and started to take a sip from it and leaned back in his seat. "So what did you want to know about my old partner?" He asked as Raymond finished taking a sip from the bottle and set it down on the coffee table. "Yes, i'd like to know what if anything bad that your previous partner has done in the past?" Raymond asked, the man took a moment and leaned back after taking a sip from his own bottle of beer and then sighed slightly and nodded before he finally spoke again.

"It was a few years ago, we were out on patrol it was a pretty slow night so I went out and grabbed some coffee and some food as well, then when I was about to come back I saw him. He was talking with a guy, and then they exchanged something what it was I didn't know but I believe it was money and drugs of some kind. Then he left I waited a few minutes longer before coming back." He said as Ray quickly started to write down the notes and nodded. "Why didn't you report it in?" Ray asked him, and he simply just shrugged. "I forgot that night later go to busy and didn't have time to report it in."

Tiffany Lyle

Location: Arnco Mills
Skills: N/A

Tiffany looked out as everyone else did so. What she saw gave her a sinking feeling in her stomach. Not only were walkers around, clamboring in their trash, but a giant horde was being attracted by the noise and was now heading their way. "Shit!" She said in a 'loud enough to be heard' whisper. They had to get out of there now. The house could give them some protection, but there was no guarantee. And they didn't have enough weaponry to be able to take down a horde.

Ash immediately entered leader mode, and it was kind of intimidating. However, Tiffany took her task to heart. First, she made sure Niesha was awake, telling the girl about the upcoming horde and having her grab the supplies. Tiffany took hold of as many bags as she could swing over her arms (about four bags/totes). She then hustled outside along with everyone else. The car Jack and her found to get them here would not be a suitable transportation method, so she was thankful to see people making their way to the Hordebuster.

She jumped on just about the same time the Hordebuster was being started and ready to get moving. She set the bags down and took a seat, bracing herself for immediate evacuation. Where would they go? Would they go find the others? Would the horde follow them if they did? These questions bothered her, but she allowed Ash to determine the best course of action. As long as they were not there to meet the horde, she would be happy.

Amelia Payne

Location:Sharpsburg , Main st.(F11)
Skills: N/A

The game of D&D was progressing as it should. They were adventuring and having generally a jolly good time. The party was exploring a graveyard and all that fun stuff. Amelia was rather helpful and happy. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, her rare few friends that is. Took her the better part of 2 years to get as close as she was with them. Still now that they were friends, she was ready to jump into fire for them. Well metaphorically speaking, she wasn't sure she'd ever have to jump into fire for them, but she was sure if their lives depended on it, she was going to do it.

Eventually they ran out of snacks so Amelia volunteered to go grab another bow of chips. She got up and moved to the kitchen only to be met with a rather unpleasant surprise. There was a big dog there! That was Jason's dog, but when they gathered up he kept it locked in his room. Amelia was not good with dogs. They felt her dislike and slight fear of them and reacted to it. Or rather the meaner ones did. The more friendly doggos just tried to jump on her for hugs and pats which given the size of this one was scary too." Jason!" She screamed as the dog jumped at her to play. It probably weighted almost as much as her or at least it felt that way.

"Buck down! Down, boy!" Jason arrived moments later after the scream to find the dog having pushed Amelia to the ground rubbing his head on her clothing and barking happily." Down boy! That's it..." He said as he pulled hte dog by the collar away from Amelia, he dragged it away all the way to his room and locked it there again. Before returning he made sure the door is locked." I'm sorry Amelia, must have forgotten to lock hte door and he escaped. You okey?" He asked at the shivering Amelia Being jumped by a dog that big even if it wasn't malicious was scary for her." Alright let's take a little break from the game."

Eden

Location: Eden: Woodhallway before Adamms Wing

Thana kept following Thalia but the girl was ahead of her and got the drop on the Edenite. That was fine with her, she was there as backup now, not front lines. She had Thalias six and that meant she had her back. The woman seemed more than capable of handling herself, which was good. Several of them were injured now, two of them were dead, they had to finish this. Thana had no doubt there were more. There had been more outside when they rushed in, so either they fled or they were still out there. She chose to believe they were still out there, better to think that and be ready than to think they were gone and get bitch slapped by fuckery later.

There was mention of not being able to go out a window, if Thana felt like talking she would disagree but then again she could free climb. She didn't need a rope or a harness. She had hands. Sure, she was shot but she still had one. It was better than nothing and she had feet. Glancing around though there were curtains and they were only one floor up. Shit hit the fan they could jump. It was less than twenty feet down, chances were decent they wouldn't die, hell there was a good chance they wouldn't break a bone if they landed right. Either way, it wasn't something to speak about or think about right then, they needed to move. Part of the floor was still unexplored and they hadn't found a weapons or supply stash yet. There was no fucking way in hell this place didn't have one so it had to be where they were going. Didn't it?

Alexander Polawski

Location:Eden: Hallway outside Men's doors --> End of hallway, door leading to Fitness Center
Skills: Pistol, Suppression Tactics

People were moving silently forward, all except Alexander who had kept talking. Typical. Hadn't he known better, he'd swear he could hear Sergeant Jackson tell him to shut up and keep moving. Because they had to keep moving; if they stayed at one place too long, especially without recon or scouting, they were sitting ducks, just like in the jungle. Truth to be told, it appeared that the past and present were growing more alike by the minute. Alexander only hoped that their 'success' would be more real than the one he witnessed nearly four decades earlier.

Alexander kept walking backwards down the hallway while aiming the Beretta down their rear, onto the set of doors on his left and back down the hallway as he passed them. His eyes however looked briefly around. He'd seen buildings and rooms in worse condition than this, but then again he'd been in 'Nam. He had seen some shit, and this place was still shit. It was dirty and in utter chaos, partially thanks to the group's attack on Eden. But it couldn't all just be because of them, certainly not with the torture rooms and all. Alexander couldn't help but want to clean up the mess, because it looked like this place could have been rather polished before the world fell apart. Probably had been a good defensive position too, until they came knocking with a TANK.

But the time for cleaning up the disorder of a battlefield was not now, and Alexander backed up until he had a door on his right. Alexander aimed at the door to his right, at least until Beatrice and Manny could get past the door safely. He was concerned about Beatrice's gunshot wound to her leg. While she appeared to be able to walk, who knew how long she could manage? Turning his attention away from the door for a moment, he looked at Beatrice and held out his good left hand to her. "Want a hand?" He asked her quietly, hoping the three of them were the only ones to hear it and that he wasn't shoving his foot into his mouth again.

"Bit of an odd trophy to take, but sure, why not," Beatrice quipped, subtly declining any assistance. She didn't need to lean on him in order to survive. Thana was still trucking and so would she. It'd be a bit more than a few bullets to keep her from walking. And the last person she had let herself lean on slightly, the last one she cared for and left to go support - well, he ended up dead. She recognized the issue with the lack of easy exits and she couldn't help but feel in her gut that they were still walking into a trap. That had been horrible danger - but it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

She turned the corner, walking with Alex and she spotted Thana and Thalia up ahead. What she didn't see, however, were more members of Eden. Maybe Thana and Thalia had cleared them all out. Maybe the Edenites were all gone. But she didn't feel like either of those were likely options. Instead, she half expected them to stumble into a stronghold of Eden's, with thirty Edenites prepared to kill them all with a variety of projectile weapons. Or knowing how insane and sadistic these people seemed to be, swords or just restraints, for future extended torture sessions.

"Quickest exit point might be death," she muttered under her breath, trying to push through the pain.

Jack had climbed into the cab, taking the single fold out seat. He had the medpack and the bug out bag he'd grabbed stashed on the seat next to him. Seeing Tiffany in front with Ash for a moment, he couldn't help but feel a bit guilty. He was supposed to be Newnan's second, its security lead - but then he had to remind himself that Newnan didn't exist anymore. They were just a group of people now. Any titles they had gone by went up with Newnan in flames and collapsed with the buildings.

He glanced out the window, spotting the beginnings of the massive hoarde and his heart sank. It might have been rational or irrational, he wasn't certain at the moment, but he couldn't help but imagine Tatiana out there, all alone, about to be run over by that hoard. He bit his lip, certain that he was never going to let her out of his sight again, once he found her again. And when their kid was born, he wasn't going to let that baby out of his sight either. He was going to helicopter to the point that it was ridiculous and annoying. Of course, there was a slight silver lining. If they hadn't found Ash and the others, Jack doubted the janky car they had found would be able to make it through this storm of the undead.

Emanuel "Manny" Newman

Location: Eden, Hallway past Wraith and by Fitness Center
Skills: Handguns, Shotguns, Fast Reflexes

Manny moved down the halls trying to be as tactical as an untrained person could be. He checked doors and halls, aiming the shotgun he had slowly and carefully. He was no Navy seal or Delta force or any of those other special forces, but he knew how to look around and be careful. While watching the flanks of this small group Manny noticed the body of the asshole the girl with the dark hair killed. The machete went right through the neck, gliding against a few bones, but mostly blood and vital components. Manny had attempted to treat bullet wounds like that with what he had, but it was rarely a success. Most the time he required equipment he lacked or the wound just wasn't savable. But blades, those were another story. The cuts were wider, thinner, even worse when twisted. And never had the slight chance to cauterize the wound. Even if the poor bastard had survived the initial stabbing, even someone with enough experience as Manny himself wouldn't be able to save him. Not without a team of proper surgeons and all the right equipment. Though he wasn't a team or a surgeon. He was a dentist with minor training as a surgeon.

Manny wondered how the girl with the dark hair was doing. She seemed to be taking that leg wound as well as someone with a leg wound could take it. Normally Manny would want to take a look at it, but he didn't like the idea of doing this again in an active combat zone. Plus, they had to be done soon right? Did that also mean that they would find all the supplies these people had? Maybe enough supplies to actually do some good beyond stopping a light blood wound with a belt. Because chances were the wounds he would have to treat in time wouldn't be so easy. He also wondered if these people had any hospital like setup that he could take some supplies or equipment from? Manny was fortunate enough to get a lot of his training and practice in before modern infrastructure came into the picture, despite it overall being better, it wasn't an option as much now a days, and those doctors who were left that didn't know how to work without it struggled a lot these days.

Ash Holloway

Location: HordebusterArnco Mills Safehouse (E10)
Skills: Leadership, Mechanic, Engineering

This had quite possibly been the worst, most traumatic day in Ash's life, with the possible exception of the day his father's distillery, along with half the town of Esmont, Virginia, fell to a horde. Almost his entire family had been lost that day - killed or missing and presumed dead, along with most everyone that he had grown up with. Of course, one can't really put all of that horror into a single day. It had been a siege. A long, long siege. The "day" was actually the end of that siege, when some scared, hungry asshat thought he saw an opening and screwed everyone over. There was the slightest hope that one day the town of his upbringing could be rebuilt, the homes and farms restored, Newnan was an utterly destroyed place; literally a smoking crater in the earth and the final resting place of many of those he had come to regard as family.

There were four people he could help now. If was a far cry from what he wanted, but it was something. Not only that, but unless the Hell that was Newnan held the horde's attention, and raptly, there was a good chance that this horde was going to roll over the safehouse south of them, too. This realization hit him the second that he fired up the 'Buster. He could live with only helping four. But he could live better if he helped a few more. Ash pulled his highly modified roadbeast left onto Main Street, heading South onto Main Street. He looked to Tiffany, sitting next to him in the passenger's seat. "I'm making for the Moreland Safehouse. We have to get back to 27, but it's got to be south of Newnan. Need you to navigate, Tiff."

It was only a couple blocks up, conditions permitting, before he intended to change direction again. This was not a trip he wanted to take until morning for purposes of safety. That plan got destroyed as completely as their home did, just that morning. Well, silver lining to this clusterfuck of a day, if they were correct about Tatiana's whereabouts, the newly married couple would be reunited sooner than expected. "If you've got a map too, Jack, I need you to back her up. We're going to go get Tati."

Thalia Carmichael

Location: Eden, Coming to Adamm's Wing -> Doors to Elev Equip
Skills: Stealth, Survival, Pistol

This was getting creepy. Things had become more quiet than a standard firefight was supposed to be, and according to every single action or horror movie that Thalia had seen, ever, this was traditionally the point in time when something terrifying and awful happened. The monster jumped out of the closet, the bad guys show up where they had not been just a moment before, or the floor opens up like a giant trapdoor, depositing them into some noxious substance and/or holding cell.

Briefly, Thalia wondered if it was a great idea to have their people so spread out. Part of her wanted to hold up for a moment or three and make sure that the others could keep up, but the majority of her psyche was screaming at her to finish this bullshit before the bad guys regrouped or they fully lost the light. If they were nearing the end of the unexplored territory inside of the Eden complex, then there were just a few more people that had to die. Hopefully, it wouldn't be them. Thalia told her self that this last piece was just a matter of clearing rooms, one after the other. Just like downstairs, except the element of pant-soiling surprise wasn't with them anymore. She was a fighter, not a soldier. There was a difference. But they couldn't just stop now.

There was a door coming up on Thalia's right. Good enough place as any to start. She burst through, gun leading the way. Check doors, clear rooms. Kill anything moving. Finish this.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Arnco Mills Safehouse. (E10)
Skills: N/A

Riley watched as Niesha joined her in the back of the Buster as well, grateful for a little bit of company, Riley made sure that her handgun was loaded and ready. But she also made sure that the safety was on, she didn't want it to misfire at all as she felt the Hordebuster surge forward Riley went to sit down. She didn't want to be standing. She wasn't to thrilled on getting tossed and thrown around at all either at the moment. Riley closed her eyes for a moment and quietly hummed to herself to keep herself calm as best as she could.

Riley then opened them again as she started to think about Amelia again, hopefully they would be able to get in contact with them soon and tell them what had happened. Riley just hoped that the drive would be at least safe for the most part, and they would be able to outrun the herd of walkers before they made it to the Moreland safehouse. Riley quietly prayed that they would make it safely, normally she wasn't the least bit religious but she needed something to calm herself down.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Sharpsburg, Main st. (E11)
Skills: N/A

"Is there anything else that you'd like to tell me?" Raymond asked, the former officer shook his head and stood up and shook his hand. "That's about all that I know, but if I know anything i'll call you." He said, as Raymond nodded and gave him a phone number that he could be contacted by. "I'll keep in touch then." Ray said and smiled back as he finished up drinking the rest of his beer and started to leave dropping the empty beer bottle into the recycle bin and left. Raymond started to get ready and pulled out his car keys and got into his car and started to drive away from the house.

Raymond would occasionally stop at a few red lights and went over the notes that he had taken, he was pretty satisfied that the information that he had gotten. Raymond started to turn on the radio as he drove down the road as he started to feel his stomach growling a bit Raymond decided to go and head over towards one of his favorite food places. It took him a few minutes until he was there now and Raymond pulled up at his bar and grill place. They made the best wings and babyback ribs, which he was actually really craving for as well as he climbed out of his car and started to head inside. Inside there was a cute waitress Ray gave her a soft smile as he led her over towards an empty table, and went and sat down. He leaned back and turned his attention towards one of the TV screens in the store it was a football game playing as he leaned forward and watched it intently with interest.

Tiffany Lyle

Location: Hordebuster
Skills: N/A

Tiffany propped herself into the front seat next to Ash. She didn't even think twice about it, she just took a seat in the first place she could. And she was thankful they were in the Hordebuster given the fact they had an oncoming horde to get away from. She had managed to get some decent rest also, so she was prepared when Ash issued out commands to them. Tiffany looked around and found a map easily enough and opened it up.

It took her a few minutes, but she located where they were and plotted out the course. "Found us. Ok, here's the route." She delayed it out to Ash, making sure Jack was in the loop as well in case she got it wrong, but she was fairly certain. Having spent a decent portion of her time here in this area, she knew the general location.

Tiffany hoped the others were ok. Riley and Niesha in the back. Tatiana in the place they were heading to (hopefully). And Ray and the others in the safehouse, unaware of them and their predicament.

Amelia Payne

Location:Sharpsburg , Main st.(F11)
Skills: N/A

The pleasant dream had rather quickly turned into a little nightmare of it's very own. Amelia didn't take well dogs. She disliked them, no she had an innate fear of all canine creatures. She never got well with them and things only escalated as time passed and it was one of her childhood phobias that stuck around and never let go. Fortunately though she was well woken up by Sam to take next shift.

“Hmm!?” She bolted up into a sitting position as she was woken up and threw near panicked looks all around them as she did so.” What? A... change of shifts... okey, thank you, Sam.” She replied with heavy breathing, trying to calm herself down. That dream changed paces fast. She took another few breaths and left the sleeping bag, moving away from it in search for a comfortable spot by the window. Of course not leaning on a window or anything, but the wall next to the window. This way she should be well protected from any outside attacks and possible gunshots while also keeping good hearing on what happened outside.

“Phew...” Amelia rubbed her eyes trying to wake up better. At first she wasn't sure where they were, but then everything that happened today flooded back into her mind and her mood turned even sourer at the memories of all who were lost. She wrapped her arms around herself seeking the faint warmth and comfort, but there was little to be had given the situation. So she just turned her attention on something she could be doing which was listen to what was going on outside and try to take peeks through any possible visibility points. Her current duty was to be the watchout after all.

Eden

Location: Eden: Addams Wing - Weapons!
Skills: Survival, Pistol

Thana kept at Thalias six, where she said she would be. Glancing back over her shoulder she noticed that Beatrice was keeping up but the others were falling behind some but she didn't hear anything so it was a good sign, at least she hoped that no one else was dead. Getting ones throat slit sucked. Silent kills meant that they had more on them than they had accounted for. Sure there had been more outside but they hadn't seen them. Yet.

Thalia was kicking in doors it seemed, well at least getting through them. It looked like the latest one she checked was the jackpot they had been hoping for. Looking over Thalias shoulder Thana let out a breath. "Finally," she said as she looked around. It was a weapons and food stash. The stash was probably much lower than it normally was but to her it looked like a gold mine that had never been tapped. Various weapons, boxes of ammo, MRE's, canned foods, medical packs, bottled water, and rope. That was the first thing Thana reached for. The Rope.

"Grenades? Could have used this five minutes ago," she said to herself right before she head a gun go off. Seemed there were more coming up behind them. She didn't know who fired the shot but Manny and Alexander would. Edenites were coming in from the room above them. Seemed one of them got trigger happy and shot one of their own, dropping him like a frigged prom date. "Reloading," Thana said as she grabbed two clips and went about reloading her weapons. She wasn't about to back track without being fully loaded.

Alexander Polawski

Location:Eden: End of hallway, door leading to Fitness Center
Skills: Pistol, Suppression Tactics

Alexander was very much aware of where the gunshot had come from, who had fired it and at who. It wasn't difficult when he was standing right in front of the door that lead to the Fitness Center where the Edenites where coming. Pushing the door open from their side, Alexander saw the Edenite lying dead on the floor, shot by one of their own. Those Edenwipes were crazy after all, weren't they? The old Vet was ready to not just make them crazy, but dead crazy.

"We got company!" Alexander shouted down the hallway for the others to hear, before entering the line of fire in the doorway. He really wished he had an M16 right then and there, much easier to lay down supressive fire with an automatic weapon than just a pistol, but it would have to work. He aimed at the closest cluster of Edenwipes that were approaching and opened fire, five or six rounds flying from the barrel. All he managed to see was the one closest down to them dropping to the ground, hopefully dead, before taking cover again.

Alexander pushed his back agains the wall beside the door, breathing quickly after what could have been a mess. But he was alive, his only injuries caused by a damn gun exploding. If it was luck, it was bittersweet. Every engagement he came out unscaved was one closer to him coming out dead. And part of him wasn't ready for that. "Be careful. Still more charlie out there." The old vet said to the old doctor, getting ready for more slaughter to ensue.

Nigel "Hadrian" Cooper

Location:Okefenokee: E16, inside main building, heading west to the road
Skills: Survival, Scouting

What normally couldn't be classified as a comfortable abode in the middle of a Georgian swamp, had been more than enough for Nigel when he needed some shelter from the undead horde following him. The swamp had been an idea of impulse, but when he saw that the large group of Walkers were bogged down in the swampy terrain behind him, he wasn't complaining. He didn't applaude it or bring out the confetti either, but he was alive. That's what mattered.

It didn't take long for Nigel to pick up the noise coming from the outside however, the same noise that had followed him through the swamp earlier. He hadn't been inside the building for very long resting, but when he saw the Walkers just north of his position, he knew he wasn't getting any more of it. Nigel, moving to the west side of the building and peaking out the window, scouted for more of them. The road going west was, thankfully, empty. That meant it was time to move.

Nigel didn't waste any time pulling his boots back on his somewhat rested feet. The rest of his gear he had worn during the rest, so that wasn't an issue. Being ready to leave at a moments notice was the difference between life and death, usually the latter. And when Nigel had mentally checked that all his equipment was where it should be, he wasn't staying there anymore. "Alea iacta est." the man who had time and time again been mistaken for a real Roman soldier said to himself. Armed with his sword Nigel started making his way out of the house on the western side and towards the road. Like he said, the die was cast.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Arnco Mills Safehouse. (E10)
Skills: N/A

Riley remained fairly calm and quiet as she sat down in the bed of the Hordebuster as they continued to drive, Niesha was doing the same as well. Riley knew that the horde was extremely large as well, probably the largest that she had ever seen at least they had a means to stay ahead of them. Riley held onto that cross that was on Chloe when she did pass away, Riley would make a note to actually make sure to protect Amelia as best she can the moment that they meet again. Riley wasn't sure the route that they would be taking she didn't have a map on her at the moment to check, so long as they made it out alive as soon as possible.

Riley was still feeling a bit tired luckily she wasn't asleep and was on watch duty when the noise started to happen, either someone would have noticed or they would have all probably be walker chow now. Riley made sure that she had her crossbow close by, she didn't have it loaded either. She just made sure that she had the weapon on her in case they did end up in a wreck of some kind, Riley tugged at her hair and started to calmly hum herself a song. Normally Riley would have done it in private or when she was alone and no one was close by it did help her calm down and relax a bit as well.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Sharpsburg, Main st. (E11)
Skills: N/A

As Raymond continued to sleep comfortably in the small makeshift bed he was relaxed still, part of him still wanted to stay awake a bit more so that he could see if there was anymore radio activity maybe on Tiffany's end or Tatiana's. Raymond continued to dream of one of his reporting cases, sitting in the bar Raymond watched a football game continue it was a pretty close match as well. Raymond also did get a tip that the bar was in was also a place that the person of interest also frequented quiet a bit as well. Raymond had ordered another beer when he felt his phone go off.

"Hey whats up?" Raymond asked, as he asked getting a call from his brother, who he hadn't talked to much recently, but they were pretty close growing up. He was asking how things were with his job, which had been going pretty well so far, as Raymond got up and left he had been there for awhile now and nothing has come up. Raymond turned and left and started to head back to the news station to turn in the notes that he had gotten earlier anyway. Raymond climbed into his car as he continued to talk with his brother, as they continued to catch up on things as well.

Raymond smiled listening to his brother he had gotten a kid and married fairly recently which he couldn't go due to work, as Raymond pulled up at the news station he finished up catching up with his brother. "See you later, and take care okay?" Raymond said before hanging up his phone, stuffing it into his pocket and left and headed inside of the building to talk with his boss.

Erica Monroe

Location: Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, Georgia (F2)

Erica wiped a bit of sweat away from her forehead the humidity was pretty bad down here than anywhere else as she took a moment and started to dig through her pack and found her water bottle. She had her leather jacket stuffed into her backpack as well she stripped out of it once the weather got to warm. "Here, you may want to have a drink." Erica, said as she turned around and handed it over to Preslee, they had bumped into each other three days prior. Erica was looking through a small convenience store in Cairo Georgia, she still wasn't sure if she could trust her enough or not. Her last group ended up dying due to another group that they failed to tell her about when she first joined them, which resulted in her losing her daughter, and her ending up getting washed away in the storm that they used to attack.

Erica then adjusted her backpack over her shoulders and adjusted the strap to her shotgun as well she looked around, Erica didn't like the idea of heading into the Okefenokee Swamp. But it was the best way to get out and away from the herd of walkers that seemed to have swarmed the areas close by. But they were pretty lucky that the walkers followed them and they ended up getting stuck in the process as well. Erica stopped as she looked at a sign saying Griffis Fish Camp nearby which could possibly be a good place to try and see if there were any food or supplies, it was a long shot but it was worth trying.

The only thing of food she had left on her was a can of spam which was the last thing of food she had for the last few days, and it was midday. "Griffis Fishing Camp could be a good place to try and see if there are any supplies. And once we get there we can rest for an hour if you'd like." Erica said as she made sure her knife was in hand she could hear things dropping into the water, and the distant groans of the walkers nearby that had gotten caught in the swampy mud which she didn't want to get caught in herself.
