Their will and endless greed allows them to grow and accend past other creatures
But their mortality denies them divinity

It's a delightful purgatory between being Fallen and being Divine"

Ada

@PaulHaynek@Restalaan@AzureKnight@Rezod92

While the first attack was successful in knocking away the minotaur woman's weapon, Ada hissed when she saw the lizard girl approaching her. With a burst of speed that Ada wasn't expecting, the lizard girl didn't hesitate in jabbing her sword at Ada. Immediately twisting her body to try and minimize the wounds, Ada was surprised to notice that there was no blood nor wound in the place the lizard girl had stabbed. That said, Ada still felt that her strength somehow leaving her after the attack. While it wasn't as bad as literally having a huge wound to take care of, she still felt her stamina draining after the lizard girl's attack. While she didn't understand what happened that well, Ada knew that she wouldn't be able to fight if she took another hit from that strange blade.

Realizing that the lizard girl was getting ready for another attack, Ada was about to dodge her attack and try to jump away from them before Nagare shouted her name. Paying enough attention to see the ice Nagare threw on the ground and understanding what she wanted to do, Ada using the minotaur's body to jump away from both warriors, both evade the horizontal slash and pushing the minotaur on the lizard girl's direction.

Landing a few meters away from them, Ada would look straight at the lizard woman, having quickly changed her main target after she shown herself to be more of a problem than Ada previously realized. Should Nagare's ice work and made them fall, Ada would use her speed to dash towards the lizard girl, trying to disarm her with a tail whip or a slash before moving in to try and bite her throat.
Should the lizard girl avoid the hulking mass that was the minotaur though, Ada would use her camouflage while moving at full speed in order to fight against the lizard girl. While that wouldn't turn her invisible, it would at least make her a bit transparent and make her movements harder to follow while trying to disarm the lizard girl or if the opportunity showed itself, straight up down her in one go.

Freyr

The very moment Freyr grabbed Haley's wing, he could already feel the force of the water, trying to drag him down as well. Saying that he had underestimated how strong was the current was an understatement. Unfortunately, with the loud crack signaling that the branch he was on wouldn't handle his, Haley and Samuel's weight, made the situation even more dire.

"Damn! Haley, it's going to break!" Freyr shouted, frantically trying to think on a way out of that situation.

Fortunately, Haley thought faster, kicking Samuel away from her leg, which proved to be enough for Freyr to quickly pull her up to the branch before it broke and jump away to the margin of the river with Haley.

Approaching the wet and exhausted Haley, Freyr hugged her, to comfort and try to warm her cold body, protecting her wet body from the wind.

"Are you okay, Haley?" He asked, clearly more worried about her than Samuel.

"Things... didn't go out as we expected... But you did the right thing. I wouldn't lose you in order to save a dangerous madman." he said, with a chuckle.

"Just take your time, rest and recover. We can try to find Samuel... Or whatever was left of him afterwards. By the way... is that his coat?" Freyr said, surprised when he saw a piece of cloth still on Haley's talons.

Faye sighed heavily, both annoyed and bored as she sat upside down, dangling her legs on the air on one of the first class cabins from the train to Frankfurt. Having boarded the train seven hours ago, she knew there was still about three and a half hours until they arrived and yet, she had already exhausted every single option she had to distract and entertain herself. Having already wandered the entire train a dozen times and being called attention by the train staff at least twice as much, she was now stuck inside her cabin after being threatened to be thrown out of the train in the next stop. Sure, she knew that there would be plenty of new things to see and do on Frankfurt, but the amount of time she had to spend in that iron cage called train was almost making her regret that decision already... For a person that most of the times could go wherever she wanted, whenever she wanted due to her abilities, having to spend so much time just to get somewhere else was a... new experience. If she had already visited Germany before, opening a portal would be simple, but since she had never left the UK in her entire life until now, she had no choice but to travel like normal people do...

"This sucks..." Faye said, straightening herself up and sitting in a normal position again, mindlessly grabbing one of the chocolate covered cereal bars she had snatched from the waitress when she came to deliver her food a while ago and taking a bite.

"I wonder how will be the people I will be working with..." she asked herself with a mischievous smile on her face as she gave another bite on the cereal bar.

"... Six years ago, when the event which became known as The Shattering..."

After the second bite though, the sweet taste suddenly gave way to a bitter one, as unwanted memories about what happened six years ago were summoned by the voice coming from the television on the cabin right next to hers.

Even though it was six years ago, Faye still remembers how she felt back then. She was only twelve when it happened. At that age, she was mostly oblivious to what was happening on the moon, but that didn't prevent her from feeling the terrible wave of magic washing all over the earth. It wasn't just dark magic, it was something much, much worse. Even though it was thousands of kilometers away from Faye, she could still feel it's magic power and how utterly undescribable it was. Even normal people were being affected by it's magic, but Faye, who was already incredibly sensitive to magic, almost had her mind broken at that time.

Faye's smile faded, with her eyes becoming lost in the distance for a second as she felt the shivers, summoned by the mere memory of being in contact with that creature's power. It took a few seconds for Faye to recover herself. With the memory gone once more, Faye could now hear clearly the voice coming from the other cabin's television, talking about The Shattering while mentioning one of the monuments that were made to honor the fallen and the bravery of those who fought to defend the Earth.

Fortunately, much for both the staff's relief, the passenger on the cabin changed the channel and lowered the volume just before Faye was about to blink the candy foil wrapper from her cereal bar into the power outlet where the television was connected to, which would cause a small short-circuit and turn off the television for good.

With a small 'accident' potentially avoided, the boredom Faye was feeling a while ago soon returned as there were still three hourst of tavel left.

Immediately upon arriving in Frankfurt and disembarking, Faye was greeted by an OMR agent, a middle aged man in a black suit, holding a small whiteboard with her name written on it.

"Miss Faye, I presume." the man asked as Faye approached him, speaking in english, which was a relief for Faye, whose german was... passable at best.

"Hey there! You must be from the OMR, right?" Faye said with a cheerful smile, waving amicably to him.

"It turns out that I really didn't need to bring this..." the agent said, looking to the small whiteboard with a chuckle. While his superiors did say the person he was going to be escorting was impossible to miss, he wasn't expecting her to be so... 'unique'. Thankfully, he was given a few pointers on how to 'deal' with her.

"Yes, my name is Ferdinand. I was told to wait for your arrival and offer to take you to our headquarters." the agent said to her, introducing himself in a formal tone with a small cumpriment.

"Thank you! That really makes things easier! My German isn't that good and it's my first time coming to Germany so I was afraid that I would have to find the place by myself!" she said with a small chuckle.

"Oh! Before we go, could we make a small stop on our way there? I reeeally want to buy some sweets. The cereal bars from the train weren't that good... Too much cereal and too little chocolate!" she said, sticking her tongue out as she complained about the cereal bars she most definitely wasn't 'given' by the waitress on the train.

"... I guess we have enough time for a small stop. I must ask you to not delay too much though, as I was informed that some of your teammates are already present and waiting for your arrival." Ferdinand said, pointing to a small gray sedan that was parked just outside the station.

"Really? I was told that there would be people from all around the world and many different races. I'm really looking forward to knowing who I will be working with!" Faye said, excitedly as she followed Ferdinand before entering the car.

After having bought a bar of chocolate, which Faye began to nibble straight away, they continued their way to the OMR headquarters, arriving on the building only a few minutes later than it was expected. Having mentioned her teammates proved to be the correct option to keep Faye's interest and make her go directly to their destination instead of wanting to wander around the city, potentially get lost and end up gods know where. Ferdinand had been warned about how eccentric Faye was, but he was surprised that she was much less troublesome than he expected her to be. Something which would be soon proven to be a special case on the following weeks...

Faye's entrance on the conference room was where her teammates would be waiting for her was... 'unique' to say the least. After Ferdinand left her on the entrance of the entrance of the building and Faye preseting herself on the reception, she was told to go to a certain conference room to wait. The problem was that Faye was too distracted looking around at the interior of the building and amazed by how many differnt races she could find working for the OMR that she didn't pay attention to the number of the conference room that the receptionist said and instead simply began entering random rooms, interrupting a number of possibly important or even confidential reunions, resulting in complaints, surprised and even angry expressions as she began blinking from room to room, until she finally found one that seemed to be the correct one.

"Oh hey! I think I'm in right place this time... right? At least I think I am, judging by how no one is looking at me like they're constipated... or angry, I don't know. Some of the old guys on the previous conference room really looked like they were constipated." Faye said, just as she blinked inside the room.

"Anyways! I'm Faye Hayward. It's a pleasure to meet you." she said, introducing herself with a smile and a small bow.
Just confirming my interest! Already have some ideas!
Might start working on my character today while I'm at work!

Hope you're fine with me :-)
I learned a new word! "Smorgasbord" (had to google it btw lol)

Definitely interested btw! :-) I might wait to make a character though, since I want to wait the style of characters that will be made and see if I can come up with a concept fitting with the RP

Kalla

Maeve couldn't help but give Tali a rather stern look when she mentioned that she intentionally teased her. For an Isoli noble, especially someone of her status, being teased like that was disrespectful. That said, Maeve having reacted to her teasing like that was still a reason for her to be ashamed and thus, Maeve simply decided to let Tali's teasing slide.

"Hmpf... I will let it slide this once." Maeve said obviously annoyed not only with the situation, but with her own reaction as well.

The second time Tali approached her though, Maeve was already prepared for her 'teasing' and wouldn't fall on the same trick twice. That said, the simple thought of trying to tease her and make her lose composure a second time was an even bigger insult to her, which Maeve didn't take as kindly as the first time.

The very moment Tali touched her thighs, she could feel the water temperature around Maeve quickly dropping, to the point it started to get trully cold around her. Not only Tali's actions were deeply affecting Maeve's mood, but the words she said made it only worse.

"Enough!" Maeve said, getting up with a thin layer of ice quickly forming around her on the water's surface, melting just a moment later when Maeve realized what was happening.

Even though the water temperature started to normalize again, Maeve's expression was still incredibly cold as she looked to Tali.

"I am an Isoli noble, an Orzhov. Someone whom not even the family elders could control. Someone who was never wounded in a duel before. No matter the opponent. I will receive the respect I deserve." she said with a cold, harsh tone.

"I am proud of who I am, succubus. I am proud of my lineage and my family's history, but I am not a weak woman, to be used as a puppet or just a pretty face to be married off to someone. I won't let anyone control me. Not as long as I am alive." Maeve finished, looking straight towards Tali's eyes, with a burning determination which couldn't contrast more with her usual cool and icy demeanor.

Without a single word more, Maeve grabbed the towel, putting it around herself exitted the baths before putting her clothes on.

Just as Maeve got out though, she suddenly heard Kalla's alarms going off once again. While it didn't seem to have the same 'urgency' as the alarm when they were attacked,, Maeve was still unfamiliar with the alarm system in Kalla and immediately, ran outside, with her hand already resting on the hilt of her rapier, alert to her surroundings and ready to another potential attack.

The second she got out though, the reaction the locals had to the alarm made it clear that it wasn't an attack nor anything bad. It didn't take too much investigating for her to figure out what was happening, as Valia herself, passed by her, saying something about someone having returned with an excited tone and expression.

Much calmer and less alert that she was before, Maeve calmly followed Valia and the rest of the crowd to see what was happening. Getting there, she could see a number of skiffs arriving on the town of Kalla, together with the cheers and cries of joy from those who got reunited with their loved ones and the cries of sadness from those who had lost someone.

Among those in the crowd though, a certain gigantic figure easily stood out among the others. The moment he shouted Hilde's name with a powerful voice, Maeve instantly knew it was Allard.

Fortunately for the kind giant, Hilde was safe and sound and their reunion was... Interesting. Approaching Allard from behind and watching them with an amused expression, Maeve found interesting to see how similar both the father and his daughter were. They indeed had not only the heart, but the mind of a warrior.

"Don't let him fool you, Hilde. From what I remember, both me and Neev were completely exhausted after healing him." Maeve said with a chuckle as she let her present be known.

Both due to the death of their leader and the arrival of the kidnapped girls, the people of Kalla, prepared a feast at the end of the day, both to celebrate the safe return of the girls and mourn the death of their beloved leader.
Being the first time seeing such type of celebration, Maeve was indeed curious, as it would be a new experience for her.

After some time of preparation, the celebration was about to begin, announced by the pleasant sounds of drums, stringed instruments and flutes as they started playing.
The number of people around indicated that most of the town, if not the entire town, had reunited themselves in the plaza. While Maeve did try to simply observe the celebration without having a big part on it or participating too much, afraid that it could be seen as disrespecting their fallen leader, since she was an outsider, her plan was quickly ruined when the people of Kalla insisted on expressing their honors not only to her, but all the outsiders who acted to defend their town.

With that part of the celebration done, most of the locals were just enjoying the food, the music or waiting for the dancers who were about to present themselves. Looking forward the latter, especially after the conversation she had with Valia, Maeve quickly got herself a chair in a good spot to watch the dance, waiting as she enjoyed the traditional music and giving a few small bites on some of the more traditional food, curious about how they tasted.
Ada

@PaulHaynek@Restalaan@AzureKnight@Rezod92

Ada looked at Nagare a bit confused as she talked with the ogre woman. The ogre woman seemed to want to fight them and Nagare had accepted, although Ada was confused by it because she wasn't that familiar about the concept of 'sparring'. For her, a serious fight was always either kill or be killed so she was uncertain about how far she should go when 'helping' Nagare as she asked.
Despite her doubts though, Ada still nodded towards Nagare, indicating she was ready to whatever was about to happen.

Before Nagare could say anything more though, the ogre woman laughed, saying about fighting not only some of them, but all of them at the same time. Quickly tackling Nagare into the ground with an evil grin on her face, the ogre woman raised her fist in order to punch Nagare. Such sudden act quickly made Ada realize that they weren't just 'pretending' to fight, but it was a real fight. Before she could help Nagare though, she was forced to dodge, jumping back as minotaur woman wielding a stone hammer and a lizardman approached her in order to take her down.

Quickly lowering her posture in a hostile stance, Ada hissed, showing her sharp teeth and making her claws appear as the Minotaur woman and the lizardman approached her. As the Mintaur woman approached, Ada would quickly swing her tail in a powerful whipping motion in order to hit the minotaur woman's arms and try to disarm her, following by quickly moving in, using her speed to jump to the side and try to either sink her teeth into the minotaur woman's neck or to use her claws to slash her side before jumping back and retreating again, always keeping an eye on the lizardman that was also coming for her.

Freyr

Freyr nodded, listening to Haley as she pointed out that Samuel had taken the gun inside the river with him. Fortunately, as Haley had said, guns apparently would stop working if they were wet and seeing how Samuel completely entered the river with it still on his hands, it should probably be soaking wet by now.

"Sounds good." Freyr said, agreeing with Haley as she told him her plan.

"Just be careful." He said, preparing himself to knock Samuel out the moment Haley brought him.

Unfortunately, Samuel slipped from Haley's grasp just after he started struggling, falling into the river once again. As he started being swept away by the currents though, he somehow managed to grab Haley's legs, pulling her down to the waters as well, much to Freyr's dismay.

"Haley!!" Freyr shouted, nervously as he franctically looked around, looking for vines on the trees near the river that he could use as a rope or even a long branch going over the river he could hang himself from in order to save Haley. In case he didn't find any of that though, he would throw himself into the river. While saving Haley was definitely the priority, he would still try to save Samuel if there were some long vines to be used as rope or a long branch. In case he had to jump in the river though, saving one person would already be exhausting, seeing how he would have to fight against the current. In that situation, he would definitely chose Haley over the crazy man.
Ada

@PaulHaynek@Restalaan@AzureKnight@Rezod92

Ada kept carefully watching the conversation between the female ogre and Nagare, paying close attention on the ogre and their surroundings. While she was relatively calm, Ada still didn't trust the ogre girl and her group, especially when she cracked her knuckles as she finished speaking with Nagare. Ada didn't know exactly what the ogre woman meant with half of the words she said, Ada didn't like that gesture as it was commonly done by other people right before a fight.

While it was subtle, Ada's reaction to the ogre woman's knuckle crack was undeniably negative, with the tip of her claws starting to appear and lowering her posture. Despite her instincts though, Ada still gave a quick glance towards Nagare, waiting for a confirmation of what they would do now.

Freyr

The more Freyr and Haley followed Samuel, the more obvious it became that he had completely lost his mind. Although his loud mumbling made it easy for them to follow him, it could also draw the wrong kind of attention, especially in the place they were now, deep within the Tulisan Forest.

"Monkey? Wait... did he just... eat mud?" Freyr asked, whispeting to Haley, surprised.

When Haley mentioned her idea on how to ambush him though, Freyr thought for a bit before replying.

"Let me tackle him first. The moment I do so, you take that metal thing from his hand and fly out of his reach." He said, nodding his head as he waited for her reply before putting their plan into action.

Just after he said that to Haley though, the moment Freyr looked back at Samuel as he approached a river, he realized that there was a much easier and safer way to disarm Samuel. He was about to enter the river to clean himself and he would probably leave the strange weapon outside. The moment he did so, they could just grab it and then capture him.

"Wait, there's a better way to capture him, look!" Freyr whispered, pointing towards the river just in front of Samuel.

"He will probably be unarmed when he enters the river and will be distracted too. We just need to take the weapon and then capturing him will be much easier and safer." He said, looking to Haley and waiting for her reply.
Sorry for the delay! Will have a post done tomorrow!

Winton

It was understandable that the group would be surprised by the news he had brought and Mikhail would even understand if they doubted him, especially his brothers, but after everything he saw and heard, it was certain that Bellinar had betrayed them.

"Not yet... Although seeing that Faeril is nowhere to be seen made me I wish had." Mikhail replied with anger on his voice as Jandar asked, still processing the words Mikhail had just said to them.

"He has been giving information about the group to a man called 'Ahmar'. It's safe to assume that much was revealed by Bellinar about us, seeing how close he was to Faeril..." he said with agitation and anger on his voice as Dareen asked why and to who did Bellinar sell them to. It was clear to anyone hearing him, the normally calm and cold Mikhail, of how angry that situation, being betrayed made him.

"According to what they were talking with each other, Bellinar was being paid for the information and the deal they had. While Ahmar, or better... his client, seems to have a... preference in taking Faeril alive, assassination wasn't out of the question if capturing her showed to be too difficult or impossible, being discussed multiple times in their conversation. It's still not certain if they have decided in taking her alive or not." he said, with a very serious tone, trying his best to control his emotions and temper.

"The motivation seems to be partially, if not completely, because of his gambling debts, which were mentioned by Ahmar himself." he finished, looking to the group with a serious expression. Even though his explanation was short, time wasn't something they had to spare right now, he could only hope such explanation would be enough to clear any doubts they might have regarding the veracity of his words.

While Jandar's words, asking Mikhail if he and the rest of the group could deal with that issue without him, made Mikhail suspicious of him, the second Jandar explained his plans, he immediately understood and agreed with him. Securing an escape route would help them greatly if they managed to take Faeril back... but that was only if they managed to get her back...

"The location is on a small bar on the edge of the town." Mikhail said to Jandar, nodding to him and agreeing with his words.

"There will be bloodshed once we arrive, so Fatima, the boy and the sceltie would definitely be safer with you." he said, with a cold tone and grim expression before he turned to Gennar and Denvar.

"Out of respect, I will give you both a chance to deal with Bellinar yourselves, otherwise I wont hesitate in killing him on sight." he said, his voice and expression making it clear that he wasn't bluffing or saying those words in vain.

When Fatima, Dunny and Thom started to discuss about who would go with Mikhail and the rest and who would stay though, Mikhail almost immediately looked, almost hissing at them.

"I will do this alone if I have to. We are not going there to talk. I am not going there to talk, I don't want anyone unnecessarily putting themselves on risk." Mikhail said with a serious, cold tone before he looked to the Eyrien brothers, Dareen and now, Dunny.

"We need to go now. If we lose Faeril now and Ahmar takes her away somewhere else, we won't be able to track them down again." he finished, impatient to get going as he looked to the rest of the group that would go with him.
