My blade carries with it the harsh frost of the wintry winds. Dancing with the rage of a blizzard, its speed matches the transience of an icy petal.

Welcome traveler. I see you've stumbled upon my profile, nice to meet ya.

About Me
I'm just your average 9-5 schmuck. I do my work, pay my bills, and contribute what I can to society. I also happen to enjoy binge-watching/reading anime, manga/light novels, tv dramas, and pretty much anything that catches my interest. I'm also an avid gamer, my favorite genres tend to change with time. Right now it's probably JRPG, hack-slash, and fighting.

Roleplaying
I originally joined this site several years back, having gotten my feet wet only recently at that point as an RPer. I was recommended this site by a pal of mine (@PaulHaynek) and joined a couple of his RPs. However, due to RL stresses I had to take a break from the world of RPing and took sometime for self-reflection. After a 2 year absence, I'm back in saddle and ready to further stretch my creative muscles. As for what roleplays I like, I enjoy anything action-oriented. I'm fine with any settings for the most part, though I'm more inclined toward the magical and sci-fi. Also, I've gained a sort of preference for RPs that allow users to play as multiple characters, but solo is fine either way. Here's a list to give a better idea of my tastes.

- Fantasy/medieval
- Dystopian
- Steampunk
- Sci-fi
- Apocalypse/Post-Apocalyptic
- Generally anything anime/manga related
- Adventure and Combat oriented
- Romance here and there is fine too

That's all for now, reader. If you decide to post an interest check for an RP idea, you just might find me posting a character profile ready to be reviewed. Don't be afraid to give me a shout if you'd like a Co-DM to bounce ideas off of as well.

Until then.

Lucrecia wasn't amused by Eliza's snide rebuttal, but supposed it wasn't surprising given what she is. Livia's final say on the matter superseded whatever conflicting feelings she still had. With a bow, she acknowledged her master's orders and saw her off. She then turned her attention back to Eliz. Lucrecia noticed Akantha anxiety building up whilst still in the presence of their new teammate. Thankfully, Mariarca took the initiative and led the girl away to another task. That's one less thing to worry about!

As they were about to be on their way, Siegine, an elven woman and another veteran to the Maison, had walked up with them. Taking a curiosity to their demon comrade, she inspected her head to tail. While she eventually let up on her examination, a comment she had made didn't seem to sit right with Eliz. This caused her to go on a tirade, making a display of herself in front of everyone present. Lucrecia didn't say a word. Instead, dawning a complete look of perplexity on her face. Demons, creatures she was led to understand were blood-thirsty eldritch horrors, have among them one that is tantamount to a child throwing a temper tantrum. Over her height no less.

Polina attempted to calm the childish demon down, refocusing the group to continue onwards to duty. A sentiment that Lucrecia completely cosigned with.

I suppose I still have a lot to learn about these "malicious" beasts... She silently thought to herself.
Wait, wasn't the "I was sick that day"-guy referring to Yuki and Io as being Shizuka's wives? Did I misunderstand that? :o

He was. But no worries. The misunderstanding on Yuki's part can be comedic in of its self XD
Added the edit for the Hangai sisters.

Kazenosuke, Dancing Blade

@PaulHaynek@Crowvette@Nakushita

Kazenosuke's House

Shizuka would be the first to say that Kazenosuke's insolent attitude was less than pleasurable, but at the very least he gave them more information. He now knew who the supposed commander of the invasion force was. Serek'uar He said to himself, I'll have to inform the others about that later. Io and Yuki stepped forward and said their piece. "They are not my wives, simply comrades who share the fight with me." He said. "After rescuing the young lord, we informed him of our course, and he accepted our help. There was no coaxing or charming involved."

His snide comments aside, Kazenosuke didn't seem like he was quite on board with aiding Takeshi and the Taskforce, saying that they'd have to prove their worth. Shizuka scoffed at the idea that the word of his land's lord wouldn't be worth enough, but he was familiar with Kazenosuke's type. A loner; A man who only answers to his principles and interests.

His proposition, however, caused the fellow ronin to raise a brow. A duel was easy enough to understand, it was a perfect way for a person who lives by the sword to understand someone else. But a one-on-one with Shizuka wasn't enough, it would seem. Kazenosuke chose to handicap himself and offered to fight all three of them at once. Shizuka has heard word of the swordsman's skill, even from Takeshi himself, but he wondered what the point of this matchup was.

Intrigued, and having kept the mission in mind, Shizuka decides to have the group agree to Kazenosuke's proposal.

"I've heard tales of the Dancing Blade, but I wonder if this time perhaps, it has taken on more than it bargained for. Io-san, Yuki-kun, on me! Act as my support for now, I'll engage him directly starting off." He said, his thumb having slightly exposed
his sword from its sheath.

Yurine the Death Keeper

Kozukata Cemetery

Regrettable, though a good effort, Atsuha's plan to use a couple of weakened attacks as flails was thwarted by two spearmen who were bold enough to directly charge her. The first one had free his bound comrades, tearing through her webs. Before she could react and counter the lancer, the second warrior made an attack on her, jumping in the air then spinning towards her. With a well-placed lunge, the tip of the native's spear glowed with strange light. It created a magical explosion of sorts that hit her directly in the head. The attack caused a nauseating feeling in her, which was soon accompanied by dizziness and head pain. A bit of blood began dripping down from her forehead. An unfortunate predicament the jorougumo found herself in, under normal circumstances she wouldn't have allowed herself to be put in this situation... She could do little as the two assaulters closed in to deal damage to her carapace.

Thankfully, her fairy comrade swooped in for a quick save. Having just narrowly blocked a direct thrust, quickly channeled her magic and unleashed a powerful water spell that swept their foes away. Having smashed into some gravestones, it seemed they had been taken out of the fight. While Yurine didn't seem to happy about further damage to the cemetery, Atsuaha - still dizzy - was nonetheless grateful. "Lili-chan...geh... Thank you very much for that." She managed to utter out, still holding her head.

Shaking her head to snap out of it, she began frantically looking around the graveyard. She saw that the others had made short work of all the other warriors. However, her main concern was her frenzied sister, who contributed to the victory in her own way. In her current state, Hinami had no trouble tearing through and draining foes of their chi. The dragon warrior, however, would prove to be not such easy prey. His sorcery would like help in staving off Hinami's draining effects, and his powerful cuts may spell trouble for her even now. Skarsneek would throw himself in front of the warrior as a distraction, however, in an attempt to protect his sister-in-law. It wasn't likely that he'd be able to fight off the powerful warrior by himself, which Atsuha realized and prepared a spell to the best of her ability to aid her husband.

Help would arrive, however, in the form of the young lord. Stabbing the dragon warrior from behind, he instantly ended the lone warrior. "Takeshi-san!" She exclaimed, finally dawn a look of relief amidst this chaos. This still left the issue of her berserk sister in spite of it...

Skarsneek slapped Hinami's rear-end in an attempt to draw her attention from everyone else, a plan that may very well backfire. Snarling, she attempted to swipe and pounce at him. Perhaps the goblin would be just swift enough to dodge her advances. Had the male monster bitten off more than he could chew? Perhaps so, but soon it would no longer be his problem.

Alice, who had remained completely removed from this battle up until, had secretly been raising the pressure of her chi since the battle started. She, from the start, intended to be the one who would deal with Hinami when the dust settled, not considering the Shizuyama warriors to be worth her attention. Hinami looked directly at Takeshi, her yokai instincts running in overdrive. However, Alice's plan worked. Just as she was about to charge the young lord, her neck snapped in Alice's direction nearly 180 degrees. Moving like a blur, Hinami charged directly at the mad hatter. Hinami would attempt to throw the whole weight of her body onto her and gnaw on the side of her neck. "Chiiiii...." She uttered in a eerie wail.

"No, Alice!" Atsuha attempted to channel another spell, but still couldn't quick focus her magic. Unfortunate, as magic would be the only think in her arsenal that would be able to keep her sister at bay. Atsuha would attempt to make her way over to the pair, prepared to use herself as a shield if need be to stop her sibling.

"Oh...?"

Seeing her fellow spellcaster's eyes change fill Tiziana with a bit of intrigue, though she also was put on edge after seeing her pyro vision flare up. Before she had time to process the scene, the woman rushed her. In an instant after a pained grunt, she had Tiziana pinned to the ground. Her foot pressing against her neck, the songstress would also feel the heat around that area start to increase. The woman was heating up her own body, the moisture that lingered on her evaporating. Honestly, it was already hard enough for her to breathe, but soon it wouldn't matter if she removed her foot or not...

Having a naked woman standing on top of her certainly isn't how she'd thought her day would start. Tiziana thought that she was oddly tone for a witch; Do some witches work out? She didn't think it was necessary, given their mastery of the mystic arts. She supposed what affects the body affects the mind, but this honestly wasn't the time to be thinking of such things. Although, her attention was diverted when another young woman showed on the scene. She didn't possess any particularly unique mana coming from her, so she didn't seem to be a witch like them. The twin tailed lady decided to play peacemaker and advocate for peace. Hah! As if the songstress asked for any of this.

Dropping the act of slowly choking and burning, Tiziana would dawn a cheese-eating grin as her whole body began to melt. "My, looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the crate." She said in a garble tone, that seemed to faze out into a slush of liquid. Her body melted into a small puddle of water, and the real her appeared next to the twin tailed girl.

"Miss, I assure you, this conflict is entirely one-sided. I only wanted to be of help." She mused innocently, looking toward the brunette with slightly annoyed eyes. Unfolding her fan, both it and her hydro vision began to glow as the left over water around them began to form into a couple of tentacles. They appeared to be holding some items as they made there way toward the naked woman. They politely reached out, attempting to hand the woman her glasses that got lost in the wash, along with the cigarette she was about to smoke.

"I presume these were the items you were referring to earlier?" She said. "I offer my apologies, it wasn't my intention for your belongings to be lost. It's just...you were filthy. One would have to imagine you were sitting in your own muck while in that crate. I just took it upon myself to give you a free shower." Holding her fan to her face, she folded it again. The azure glow it held dissipated into small blue wisps that flowed away from them until they disappeared.

It seemed that Rosanna noticed the change in Lucrecia's expression, as she was now looking her way. The freelancer winced, hoping that she wouldn't get in trouble for eavesdropping on an important conversation. She was broken out of her worries as Akantha scrambled her way into the hall. She was glad to see that the little girl seemed to be doing better. Having been made a temporary trainee maid, the other staff looked into her family tree and other background details to determine what they would ultimately do with her. Viatrix informed them that physically Akantha was fine, but her mental state was affected with nightmares and insomnia. The poor thing couldn't even sleep alone, which wasn't surprising considering all that she'd been through. I would certainly take a long time for those scars to heal, if they ever...

Still naturally attached to her rescuers, Mari pointed Akantha in the direction of Polina. She watched with a smile as she cutely scrambled over to the Farisian maid, grabbing onto her leg. Mari pointed out that the Patron Livia was due to arrive any moment, which was confirmed as the two large doors marking the entrance to of the Maison began to open. There she was - the black haired woman who looked to be younger than Lucrecia herself, dressed in regal military attire. The lady Livia Fiore had made her entrance, and one other it seems. Trailing behind her was the new edition to the team that Mari and Rosanna were discussing earlier. Wearing a white frilly dress with her scaly tail thrashing about, their new demon ally had made themselves known. Her name that she so proudly exclaimed was Elizstrazia, a scale demon that Lady Livia herself vouched for. It was an odd feeling, having to work alongside a being that was the same as the creatures you were hired to kill. Lucrecia was naturally wary of this new arrangement, and she couldn't imagine what effect this may have on Akantha's psyche.

But, as this was a decision made final by the Patron of the Maison, she couldn't very well reject it...

"Buongiorno, Signora Livia. I trust your travels were well?" Lucrecia said, politely curtseying to honor the young mistress. "You are too kind, your words are most generous. However..." She opened an eye, glancing toward Elizstrazia. "While I of course have no right to challenge your orders, I feel I must state that I am unsure of this 'arrangement' you've made with this...demone."

Standing in a normal pose, facing Elizstrazia, Lucrecia held a calm but stern expression. "You won't need to worry about babysitting us, Ms. Elizstrazia. We weren't hired by the Maison for nothing." She responded in a flat tone. "As Ms. Mariarca says, Polina and I will be your guides. Mind your manners and don't go wandering off on your own. No funny business."

She was still getting used to fighting demons, let alone interacting with them in a social setting. Lucrecia had no idea what to expect...

A caravan could be seen moving through the city streets at a modest pace. Well, more like a haphazardly put together, beat up wagon was creaking along wooden planks people decided to use like streets. The carriage heaved and creaked as it made its way toward its destination, which appeared to the colosseum. In it was a young lady that seemed to be completely out of place with this sandy town full of miscreants and vagrants. Her driver was a short stubby man who wore a turban with dusty blue robes, and the wagon was being pulled by an admittedly ugly looking donkey. Due to the questionable structural integrity of the vehicle, the man occasionally looked back to ensure the well being of his passenger. At least, that's the reason he gave...

She supposed it couldn't be helped, she was beautiful after all. Due to her profession, she had to keep up appearances - and she certainly took great pride in hers. Who was this slender beauty, with her flowing brunette hair, fashionable slit dress, and impossible good-looks. Oh, no one in particular. Just arguably the best performer in all of Lacscuta, who perhaps in a whimsical split decision came here for a gig. She was starting to regret it...

The air was dry and hot, not to mention dusty. The humidity certainly didn't help, but what would one expect while in a city literally riding on the desert sands? She waved the elegant blue fan she was holding in a vain attempt to keep cool. Huffing in frustration, Tiziana turned her attention to her peeping driver. "This hardly passes as comfortable travel." She complained. "I'd probably get there faster by walking!"

"Be at ease, miss." Said the driver in a gruff, nasally tone. "The arena isn't too much further away." Tiziana was about to say something in response, but was cut off when the wagon bumped over something. This caused her to topple over in her seat, and instead of words all that came out of the performer was a silly yelp. This caused the driver to chuckle a bit. Tiziana didn't think it was funny, and the look on her face seemed to back up this notion.

"I've had quite enough." She snapped. "I'd like to get off now. As I said, walking the rest of the way there shouldn't be a problem for me."

"I apologize miss." He said in his attempt at a sympathetic tone. "I didn' mean t-"

"I don't believe you heard me." Tiziana's voice carried with it a unnatural tone, reverberating with a peculiar energy. "I said it'd like to get off, sir..."

The driver's eyes became deadpan, as if he lost his sense of self for that moment. "Yes, of course ma'am. We appreciate your business." He uttered, stopping the donkey in its tracks. Tiziana hopped off the caravan, then came up to the driver in the front. "Also, love, I don't have much change on me." She said, which was a lie. "Would you mind putting this one on the house?"

"Not a problem miss. Enjoy the rest of your day, and please be safe on your travels." He replied in a flat tone. He then made he way off, riding into the distance. Tiziana waved him farewell, giggling to herself.

[Siren's Voice] A skill that make her powers of persuasion hard to resist for men, and a certain percentage of the same sex. It certainly had its uses.

Making her way through the city on foot, she could see the arena in the not-to-far-off distance. While her feet were beginning to hurt, and the heels she was wearing were not made for it, she still felt that walking was better than continuing on in that shabby wagon. Her hydro vision jiggling on the belt she wore, she bit and bared it as she continued on.

Eventually, during her trek, something peculiar caught her attention. She arrived in front of a large caravan, the carriages filled with cargo boxes. What caught her attention was a sudden, small explosion that sounded like a gunshot. Appeared from the smoke was a naked woman holding a shotgun with a cigarette held in between her ear. Sensing her mana, Tiziana knew immediately that she was a fellow witch. She could also tell that she was filthy with a musty stench, even from where she was standing. Taking a bit of an interest, the hydro vision on her hip began to glow, as a torrent of water jetting forth from her fan and covered the woman head first in it's current. After a few moments, the water around the woman dissipated. While she was now dripping wet, she was better for it. Now fully cleaned off, Tiziana folded her fan and put it to her hip.

"I would ask you why it is you were sitting naked in a crate on some random caravan." She inquired. "Given the circumstance, am I right to assume that it wasn't by choice. I'm aware of how some feel about 'our' kind. I suppose I don't mind helping you out if need be."

Hraesleg Lions Base Camp

A gentle breeze blew as tree leaves rustled, blowing some foliage overhead. A large serpentine body could be seen slithering among the branches, easily moving from tree to tree with surprising speed. Coming to the top of a particularly tall oak, Valmyra overlooked the plains layed out before her. No stranger to such sights, they couldn't help but put her emotions at ease. The city life that human culture afforded did have it's fancies and advantages, but to Valmyra, it just wasn't home. Of course, now wasn't the time for sightseeing. The young lamia was doing her part in surveying the area, investigating the recent attacks on the countryside by marauders.

Valmyra had to admit, she wasn't too familiar with the way human bandits conducted themselves. Only being able to go off recounts of past raids from the local folk or information gathered from knightly defenders. However, overhearing some of her comrades talking, they seem to think that it may be otherwise in this case. She supposed that in this matters she would just have to trust her judgement.

Still looking from her bird eye's view, Valmyra took note of the various splotches of different colored ground across the terrain. It has a very peculiar odor, one that was very unpleasant to her. She could make out some vaguely humanoid shapes along the ground as well, but due to the distance it was impossible for her to say for sure what it was.

That was one of the shortcomings for her kind. Lamias are known for being very near sighted, their myopic vision not serving them well in these kinds of instances. Although, as a plus, they could see creatures and people better in the dark.

Hearing a shriek in the air, Valmyra quickly looked up and saw one of her allies was also doing some scouting of their own. It was the gryphon rider - Hector, she believed his name was? While she'd kept it to herself, his beastie took her aback somewhat. Perhaps it was her animalistic genetics that reminded her of the ways in which the animal kingdom often conducted itself, but there was something about it that set her on edge a bit. Nevertheless, she should be grateful that it should be counted as an ally rather than enemy.

Seeing the rider and his mount disembark and make their way back toward the camp, Valmyra decided that she wouldn't be of much more use in this situation and did the same. Besides, while the breeze was nice, the chilling temperature was starting to bother her and she began to feel sluggish. She was looking forward to being warmed by the fires of the base camp.

After debating for a bit, Valmyra decided to bite the bullet and take a chance. She'd have to get used to it, being a member of a team and all.

"Hail there!" She called out to Hector, hoping he'd hear. "Unfortunately, my eyesight often fails me depending on the distance. Do...you perhaps know what those strange shapes back there were?"
