Staffing is still the primary issue.
The same people that have run it into the ground are still running it into the ground. Same folks that let certain people do whatever in the Discord are still doing that. Mahz is the biggest problem not because he is mostly absent, but because he is entirely absent.
The foundation is corrupted. It's rotting. Every attempt to fix it has failed because it is like building on top of that failing foundation.
An influx of new users helps, but there is a fairly constant influx. The problem is not so much getting people in but retaining them. That should be done via the forum and Discord, but due to the mismanagement identified here and in a thousand other places a thousand times in the past that is neigh impossible.
There's a leak that Mahz isn't around to plug and no one who is here who can plug it is willing to.
Every time someone says this place is dying the same people say "it's not dying though Smiley Face Emoji, we just got 45 new users today" but in a few months half of those users are gone forever. Half check in every few months to see how active it is. Maybe Five folks actually stick around, but 3 of them are just on the Discord and the last 2 are doing eRP in DMs.
Dion is partly right. There's still plenty of moderation on the Discord, about that he's off. But While we likely disagree on the solution we likely largely agree on the problem and we agree that it will not likely be fixed today, tomorrow, or at any point in the foreseeable future.
