Bio

It's me, that dood, Citrus Arms. I'm 33, I sometimes work on a book a little bit, and I play a lot of games. I like me some MechWarrior or the X-Frontier series, but I also adore some good magic-fantasy. I grew up with Final Fantasy VI's magitech world, and worlds like Chrono Trigger, Zelda, and Star Fox. Lots of Nintendo, but some other stuff, too.

I like sci-fi and fantasy and space and combinations thereof, mostly. I have a setting take takes place after a galactic apocalypse, in a galaxy of recovering empires and new interstellar nations rising from the ashes, all while machinations from the apocalypse cause a rise in magic.

Trinity Stratos

"Lookin' good, Eddy." The minstrel had been waiting patiently for the Karns to emerge in their new dress, and Eddy showed her sense of style. Maybe now people could tell he's a guy. Though, even that wasn't entirely unambiguous, now.

At any rate, "yes, the airship. Right this way. It's in one of the Capitol's parks." She conjured a harp for herself and played a tune for their jaunt through the city. When they arrived, a few people had gathered around to gaze at the foreign airship. Trinity dispersed her harp and stepped past the few spectators. "Here she is." She stepped up to the hull of the ship and pat her side, looking up to pick out her path to the deck above. The below deck access was out of reach. "This way." The mage molds herself a grappling hook and flings it up to the railing above, giving it an experimental tug before climbing up. It would feel like a silk rope in hand, despite having the strength of chain.

The hull of the airship is metal, and there is no obvious balloon or other flotation device. The minstrel approached a door and keyed in a code. It gave her an error and she pouted, keying it in again. No good. "Ahg, I should have changed it myself when I had the chance..."

Trinity Stratos

Trinity was just popping the last of her tater tots into her mouth as Ariel stood to leave. "Guess we won't be finding out." She looked the guy that had approached them over for a moment before trotting off after Karn and Ariel.

Coming up next to the Karns, Trinity thought about Eddy's dissatisfaction with her wardrobe. "Hmm... so, if you change forms and try on a whole bunch of clothes, can Karn transform you into a bunch of different clothing sets? This would be easier if Karn could mix-and-match..."

She stopped for a moment, forming a golden ball in her hands and pressing it into two. She flung the two halves down to her feet, where they cling and mold to them. She then started to move again, gliding along the ground on her newly formed boots. She spun to face the others, gliding in front of them. "There's a clothing store that way, but it might not be the kind of thing you're looking for. S'where I got the stuff for this." She motioned to her outfit, an ensemble of draping cloths, wraps, and stockings. "Though, this might be a little feminine for your tastes, too."

"Not like that. Just that... I don't remember anything since I was with the other Lancers." She hadn't passed out. Someone would have noticed and she'd be waking up in a cot right about now, instead. Just then, Hunt poked his head in, said something about a meeting and replacements for their guard duty and left. They must be guarding prisoners? Somehow, she had the impression she was standing watch.

"I've been feeling... anxious?... since I joined with your squad. Reading that journal helps and... doesn't help." She shook her head, conflicted. "I don't know why." She took a deep breath to steady herself, feeling a wave of emotion about to sweep her away. "Ah, but, mm. We have a meeting to attend."
Y'know what we need? We're 100 years in the future, we need magic mechs.

Though she had, aside from her cold silence, been acting the part, though her mind was elsewhere. Dissociation is a strange thing. The subconscious controls the body, as though hypnotized but under no suggestion, while the consciousness is elsewhere. She was standing peaceably at guard, a strange state of calm and yet alert, when the sound of approaching tanks shook her from the state. Her eyes popped open and she took a moment to gather her surroundings. She'd blacked out, but tanks would mean she didn't have time to worry about that. Sword at her side, here's her mortar lance, get to the window and- "oh. Allies."

Regan let out a sigh and turned, resting her back against the wall and propping her lance up next to her. "Valkyria, I need a hot bath..." Given a moment, she would rub her hands over her face before looking over at Jatmoore. "So, uh..." She seemed hesitant, as though she didn't really want to say it. She knew she had to, though. "I blacked out."

"Oooh, the memory of a Phoenix is a little sketchy at first, is it? Interesting..." Trinity set about eating her breakfast sandwich, an eye watching the young lady. Penny said it was dangerous? "She's got that right. I'm not supposed to be wandering around on my own, either." She ignored Edy's puns, she nodded in agreement with Nolan not liking girls.

And then the crass came out.

It took Trinity a moment to catch on, but the time she'd spent with Edy so far was enough for her brain to catch on. She turned red and shook her head. "Don't worry about it, Ariel. Edy makes bad jokes all the time." She shrugged and set her sandwich down, drinking a bit of orange juice and letting the food settle in her stomach before she'd eat the rest. At that time, the three of them were approached.

Trinity looked the man over briefly, raising an eyebrow at him. "Well, I don't know of any dining etiquette pertaining to wings, myself. Do you?"

Trinity smiled as the young mage joined her. "Yeah, it certainly seems that way." She reached over with a hand and ran her fingers through the feathers of one wing on her back.

"Yes, they're beautiful." Trinity spoke her agreement with Eddy, tracing ridges and whatnot. "Spending a lot of time with Penny lately?" She turned from Ariel, taking her hand away to eat her breakfast.

"Hey, Ariel. The Karns and I are going to go check out the downed airship in one of the city's parks. Would you like to come with us?"
