@Cyrania Nice! Good work on the CS. I just added a personality section too. Guild can have NPC's if you can afford 'em. (Or what ever other arrangements you can come to.)
Sounds good. Could be fun if we could recruit some after rescuing them in a quest or something like that. I look forward to seeing how it goes.
Thanks! I've now added that personality section to her.
Main role: Swordfighter Skills: Athletics and Horseback-Riding
Secondary Skills: First Aid & Storytelling
Reason for joining: Seeking to be a hero
Background: Alastrina was the youngest daughter of a guardsman who had married the daughter of an herbalist who had distant elven blood in his veins. Her favorite thing in life though was to hear stories of heroes, whether from a visiting bard or from her own mother's lips. And so she longed to be like those in legends. She saw her brothers getting lessons in fighting and convinced her father to teach her as well, allowing her to learn the sword and how to ride a horse. She learned basic herbalism from her mother and grandfather so she would know how to tend to wounds and those of any she met. And when she became old enough, she left home to seek her fortune, ending up at the starting of the new Adventurer's Guild.
Personality: Friendly and determined, she tends to be cheery and curious, interested in who she meets and those she comes across. When push comes to shove though, she will get serious and shove back, doing all she can to overcome obstacles. Her temper can be fiery and her inherent stubbornness can lead her to try the same thing over and over again until she succeeds.
Equipment: Sword, Dagger, Medium Armor, Basic Herbalist Set
Misc: Can either have a horse already or get a horse later, the small elvish part would mostly help her have the reflexes and dexterity to better survive though I wouldn't complain if she ended up developing some minor magic in the course of the adventure
Name: Alastrina, Daughter of Stephen of Sherinford Age: 18 Gender: Female Nationality: Galadorian
Social Status: Commoner or Noble (Depending on the overall balance of the party) Occupation: Soldier Class: Cavalier
Broad shouldered, mid-sized young woman with shoulder length hair held back by a simple braid so it stays out of her eyes though her hair often doesn't behave itself as it ought to. He's within a healthy medium in terms of torso size and with some musculature on the legs and arms. Her face is heart shaped. Her skin is a pale white that's prone to getting sunburned.
Typically, she wears a simple iron breastplate over a white tunic paired with iron greaves over brown breeches paired with brown leather boots.
Height: 5' 10" Eye Color: Grey; depending on the lighting, they can appear blue or green Hair Color: Auburn Red with golden highlights
Personality: Alastrina is a daydreamer, prone to fantasies and imaginings which can sometimes distract her from what's going on around her and liable to let her curiosity get the better of her. But she's also earnestly eager and determined to meet the goals she's set herself, not one to back down from a challenge if there's any possible way she could best it. She tries to be like her father and the heroes of the stories she likes; noble, chivalrous, aiding those that need aid, and standing against those that need standing up against. She is still young though and this will be her trial by fire. It's up to her then to see how well she keeps to her commitment when everything goes wrong.
Her horse is her closest companion. She does seek to be friendly but she often comes off as overly perky or is disliked for trying to be a strict rule follower.
Likes: Heroic Stories, Songs, Singing, The Night Sky, Horses, Horseback Riding, Learning New Things, Tea (if that's a thing on the current continent. If hot chocolate is a thing in the new world, she may come to like it as well)
Dislikes: Not Knowing What to Do in a Situation/Feeling Helpless, Disappointing Those Around Her/Disappointing Herself, Inter-Personal Conflict (so, any in-fighting with those she considers allies), Tragedy, Off-Key Singing/Instrument Playing, Being Startled Awake, Turnips
Background: Alastrina grew up as the youngest daughter of a legend, or at least a local one. Stephan of Sherinford (either knighted due to his service or just a retired solider now serving his liege lord as an undersheriff) had served Galador faithfully in the past wars and though he rarely told tales himself, those that served under him would tell tales of him and let his deeds be known. Alastrina loved hearing those stories and dreamed of being someone like him. And though the nations were currently at peace, she hoped that some adventure would come about where she could be the hero of adventures of her own. She readily applied herself to training in the sword and lance as well as training in mounted combat upon her beloved horse, a white stallion with a black mane and tail named Winsley.
When she came of age, she joined the ranks of the Galador army and sought to be one of the rare Pegasus Knights who would be sure to be within the heat of battle. Yet when she went through the trials, she was found lacking and so her application was declined. Alastrina was heart-broken for a time, but she pushed forward as a Cavalier and found that it was nice to be able to have Winsley at her side. And then came the call for volunteers to join the All-Aoes Exploration Fleet and represent Galador. She was among the first to sign up. Now she and Winsley are on their way to prove her worth and become a hero worthy of tales.
Weapon Proficiency: Sword & Lance
Skills & Abilities: Canto: Allows the user to move after an attack if they have any movement left
Provoke: Increases the likelihood of enemies targeting its user
(The second one could be replaced with something like rescue/pair up if that would be something you'd prefer me to have as a skill instead of just something that she can just do given that so far, no one else is a mounted unit.)
I'm sorry this is all happening to you like this. Take care of yourself. If you do launch this again, let me know. But there's no rush. Do what you need to.
