I wonder what the forum's musical preferences are.

If you can read that. Then as long as I have time. I'm happy to Roleplay with you. I'm okay with my French, but don't expect a Masters Thesis level of French from me.
Space bend by itself as a great tear was opened into the void. And the only thing that travelled in it's wake is a great indesign. A creature of tentacles, flesh, and tendrils that, while by itself wasn't dangerous. It's warped mind and it's usage of it's tendrils has led to the deaths of thousands of Star Systems. It was an abomination the likes of which Earth has never seen before, a gigantic space creature that has it's sights set into the Earth for hundreds of years.
And it is dying.
A whole part of it's body has split off it's main form. Drifting slowly into the moon, the creature could only scream from whatever orifices it has. But all it's screaming could only produce nothing. At least in it's immediate surroundings, down on the Blue Planet the riots that has broken out all over the planet intensified as more and more people, from the highest politicians to the lowest of the beggars, fall into madness. It was utter and complete pandemonium.
And that lack of coherency was promptly broken by multiple moving figures that appeared suddenly from the void. Almost as if these things have travelled a great distance in a shockingly short amount of time. The objects maneuvered around the maddened animal. Prepared it's arsenal of Plasma Autocannons, Enchanted Railguns, Shielded Nuclear Missiles, and various other contraptions that would take hours to describe, and fired onto the beast. It is becoming clearer and clearer as the beast fought back with what little remaining assets it has. Great globs of acid and cursed Spikes were thrown, only to be deflected by the energy barriers these objects possesses on it's frame. At one time, the beast could throw thousands of projectiles and overwhelm the barrier, but it was too tired and weakened by the prolonged fight that the rounds slowly drifted the creature into the moon. A crash was imminent, and both the creature and the living beings present inside the moving objects knew it, it was only a matter of time before it crashed. Creating a massive scar on the grey satellite and continuing it's helpless writhing. Even as nuclear missile after nuclear missile were lobbed into the creature until days have gone by.
The death of the creature was a torturous one, the many mages present in the spaceships having to rotate shifts in order to prevent utter madness from engulfing the entire crew. With deities assisting their great efforts by expending any mana reserves they had onto their chants and spells. Robotic Assistants, once nearly indirectly causing human extinction, now computing firing solutions and coordinating with the more fleshy members of the crew as inventories were expended and more were transferred in via portals from supply bases on Earth. It was a great undertaking, all in an effort to prevent the creature from killing all life on Earth. But it paid off, decades of research, reverse engineering, secret field trials and training has all led to this moment.
And everyone cheered as the Abomination led out one last cry before it involuntarily separated itself into many different pieces. The moon, already scarred more in these couple of days than it's entire lifetime, finally gave in to the creature, partly cracking as chunks upon chunks of moon rock flew out. The spaceships having to execute emergency maneuvers to prevent collision. But in the end, after all efforts, after all that blood, sweat and tears. The abomination is dead.
One of the Robots, a Blue Haired woman wearing nothing but it's own 'skin', could only look in awe at the sight. She was one of the few surviving Androids that could see and record the event in real time. It was a bizarre, yet beautiful sight. The moon cracking apart like that, perhaps forming a small dust ring around the Earth as the decades flow by, she felt... elated of course, but also felt like a great weight has been lifted off of her shoulders. Now, she feels that she can choose her own course in life, make some friends. And even learn from the many, many mistakes she will make in her long life.
She silently smiled at that thought, a great abomination died so that she may lived. Not a bad tradeoff all things concerned.
6 Years later
The plane finally landed. All this time on sleeping mode, being rudely awakened by the waitress, only to say no to the admittedly gracious but incompatible meal she could offer was over. Servomotors across her head moved as she could only look to the window seat to the left of her. There it is! Germany! The great green countryside broken up by the metropolis as her eye lenses focused and zoomed in. She is happy that the announcement had broken her sleep, and also not happy that she didn't just shut down. Would've saved the trouble from the waitress constantly pestering her with the meal offers. Not that she'd blame her, everyone was looking at her the moment she boarded the plane, and she expects everyone to be looking at her still the moment she lived her life here for the next month of two.
She is, after all, literally a new intelligent species on the block.
The passport was stamped by the confused Orc. The moment he looked at her limbs and artificially constructed face. The questions were thrown immediately, who is she, what is she doing here, how was she born, what facility were you born in, the hundreds of question about herself that she has been expecting everytime she met someone not of her own.
And she responded in a prompt manner, and in German to, significantly softening the Orc's apprehension and easing up the tension. The moment she's confident that the Orc will let her through. He stamped her passport and let her in, the two cases carrying her items were quickly picked up, and a black car with an Elf waving at her the moment she exited the International terminal took her to the only place that mattered to her right now.
Frankfurt on the Main. That great city in the Main river. She could only ask questions to the driver, fortunately a German as well on the History, the Foods, and the various sites and important buildings she should know. This is a big city after all, she wouldn't wanna miss living in Frankfurt by nosing in on her case and returning to her Apartment Block just like that. That'll be too boring and definitely not what she needed right now.
The office was also an unexpected sight. While great, imposing OMR offices purpose built isn't really uncommon in America (she remembered the LA office, a great skyscraper and a massive complex of interlinked city blocks in the heart of South Central Los Angeles), most offices were sheltered in, just a small building with some small office space on the surface, with a gigantic complex lurking below. The OMR's Frankfurt office stood out the moment she saw it. A great building that towered over her but not nearly high enough to become a Skyscraper, just a very large building off of the downtown area with many office workers and agents going in and out. She was promptly brought in and was asked to wait in a conference room. An office boy brought her drinks, she could only nod and thank him but didn't drink the water at all.
All of her silent waiting paid off when a further unexpected sight entered the office room. A lady wearing a white buttoned up shirt and matching black pencil skirt, accompanied by very long hair and white socks.
"Guten Tag Miss Amanda Duvais. I am so happy to greet you! Please, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Madeleine Disir. I will be your Secretary working from today and I will be more than happy to be your guide towards this Great German City! Of course, what do you expect from some 500 year old Demon who has travelled all of Germany, nothing less!"
Amanda already liked her already.
"Yes yes! Well, hello Madeleine. As you can see from the notice I'm an Android. I am sure that you have so many questions about me, how do I operate, where I was born, how the hell the OMR kept my species a secret for so long. Please, I'm more than happy to share!"
"Oh nonsense madam." Madeleine smiled as she declined the offer. "I think I will keep my questions for myself until we finish the roundup of all agents assigned into the task, I'm sure they will be even more surprised than I am when they meet you, the notice to me mentioned your full info, but I am not sure what the other agents were given info on, it's very well possible that all agents under you didn't even know that you're an Artificial Lifeform! I think it's best suited for them to ask the questions and let me take the backseat for once, I've seen many things in my life, but seeing fellow living beings in genuine shock always, always impresses me."
"Oh, well, then so be it! So when is the first agent coming? I've been told that they are quite literally sourced from all over the world?"
"Well, I'm not sure, my supervisor told me that they should arrive in 2 to 6 hours, but there are many agents and they are all over the place. It could be very well in the night when we meet the full team, maybe even longer! I highly suggest that we get comfortable and maybe order dinner should this prove to be too long."
13K could only nod at the Demonic Lifeform's suggestion. "I like your idea, and I will ask what food this city's famous for and maybe order up. But first? How about a short game of show and tell? I've never met a German Demon in my life and you've never met an Android I'm willing to bet. Don't worry, we'll focus on OMR topics and less on our lives, what do you think?"

General Information
Age: 28
Gender Identity: Not Applicable, but she prefers Female pronouns.
Species: Generation 1 Android
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual, or so she believed after extensive research.
Agent of the OMR?: Yes, senior agent.
Reason to be chosen for the mission: Amanda is able to speak German, has shown the ability to analyze situations and make appropriate solutions to magical problems, has a personality that can invigorate and motivate agents at any situation, and she is also the first Android ever to set foot into European Soil. She would simultaneously be an ambassador for her 'species' and also given her first major responsibility of handling a major case like this. She considers this as a test of her abilities now that she is a Senior Agent.
Appearance
Height: 174 Cm's
Weight: 250 Kg
Eye Color: Red
Hair Color: Light Blue
Clothing Style: As an Android she sometimes doesn't wear clothes at all. Androids don't have visible features within their bodies that can be considered as indecent. Nor do they necessarily require clothing because of their internal heating and cooling units keeping temperatures at an operational level. But, she does wear an ensemble of a Japanese School Sailor Uniform and matching Short skirt, just to keep with the professionalism of the organization. She hasn't bought much clothing and accessories other than that.
Personality
A much more outgoing person than initially thought, Amanda loves to get into adventures that makes her heart race. She loves outdoor sports and traveling across the continental United States. With Snowboarding, Dancing and Mountain Climbing being her chief interests. She is very giddy whenever she meets new peoples, and also loves to hear stories about the individuals' lives whenever an opportunity presents itself. This can give Amanda a very smothering personality sometimes, constantly pestering people with questions that some might consider to be very personal and make them a bit uncomfortable, but on the flipside, as long as the questions asked back doesn't involve classified information, nor if it is asked in bad faith, she would happily share practically almost any aspect of her life to any interested party.
She keeps most aspects of her personality even when doing missions and coordinating with other agents. Making her a very fun and outgoing Senior agent to work with, her remarks done by her colleagues does indicate a level of satisfaction inside of them caused by her fun and outgoing personality, always willing to push her colleagues and motivate them whenever they feel down. And most importantly, help them whenever they're in a pickle, her personality can be singularly attributed in solving an incredibly complex murder mystery in the city of Los Angeles, and that convinced OMR brass to put her for this mission in Frankfurt.
Magical Abilities and Skills
Skills
Incredible Strength: As a Generation 1 Android, her body is made from Titanium Alloys and Composite Materials, coupled with industrial strength electric motors and has been tested extensively to ensure that they won't break under almost any circumstances. Even the 'softest' parts of her body, namely her center torso, while squishy, is made from an enchanted Steel material that can resist multiple impacts from autocannon rounds. This has made her incredibly strong. Able to lift objects many times her size and many times her weight as well. An expectation considering her initial job requirements
Versatility: Her experience snowboarding and climbing mountains has also given her the versatility in how to use her limbs. Since both sports require a degree of creative thinking on the spot, she has to use her limbs in ways she hadn't thought of before, her time Snowboarding and Mountain Climbing has made her very versatile as well.
Rapid Analysis: Perhaps her most obvious skill given the nature of her creation. Amanda is able to analyze almost any given situation, determine a best course of action, and achieve the objective given to her in the most efficient manner. This is crucial during her time when she served as a Junior Agent, and incredibly critical during her Senior Agent days. She has a great ability to solve problems seemingly thought as unsolvable, from murder mysteries to finding firing solutions against the Abomination.
Magic
None. She has no affinity for magic at all. Her skills mainly relies on utilizing the best the physical realm has to offer.
Weaponry and Inventory
A Battle Axe: Her trusty Battle Axe is a collapsible weapon that she has used whenever something gets dicey. Normally put in a special case in collapsed form. The handle of the Axe will lengthen and the Axe Head will split into two if she wants the weapon to be in it's full form. A blunt weapon and made from similar materials to her body, a hit from her Battle Axe will not result in a good day for anybody.
Forearm Guns: The red coloring on her forearms isn't only for show. It is a faint signal to show that something is inside of her forearms that cannot be commonly seen. If she needs to. Her forearms can 'open' itself up and two custom made guns will pop out of it. Controlled by her own thoughts, the guns can fire three round bursts, single round bursts, or full auto if needed. A very powerful weapon primarily due to it's concealment. Amanda generally doesn't use her forearm guns unless it's desperately needed.
Internal Nuclear Reactor: Now, one has to get something straight when discussing about her internal power plant, no, she is not a walking nuclear bomb. The very design of her nuclear reactor ensures that whatever happens, even if she dies, radiation will not leak out off of her body. But, she does have the option to supercharge her Nuclear Reactors and create a small explosion that can level a City Block, this is a big no no since the radiation from her explosion can last for decades, not to mention poisoning the land and potentially the people, and it will pretty much lead to her death. But in incredibly dire situations, she does have the option to do that.
Biography
Amanda Duvais was unlike any other living being born on this world. And for 20 years she wasn't even called that. Originally just called Unit 13K, she was one of the many, many Android Units the OMR created during the 1960s up until 1988. Considered to be Sentient, but ultimately disposable, the Unit was put to work immediately, doing hard labour such as bringing reactor parts for the Assembly of OMR spaceships, building new facilities to store magical items and equipment, and other tasks the OMR can put her to use. Sworn into secrecy into such a pact, they gleefully did their jobs, thinking that their masters were actually benevolent and will save the Earth, that situation lasted until 1984.
In 1984. An Android Unit stumbled into a Computer Unit, a Unit apparently containing a condensed history of the Earth, and also future plans drafted by the OMR concerning the Android Units should they win. The Unit, never seeing such an interface, interacted with the computer, downloading all it's data and promptly processing it's information. That event almost led to a revolution by all Android Units throughout OMR offices in America. 13K was among the many Androids that was given the information, and felt genuine anger at her supposed 'masters' for planning to disassemble all Android units should Earth won.
The Android Units felt that they are being left in a bad bargaining position, and their fate already sealed before they were even aware of what's going on. All units agreed on a course of action, stole weapons from various OMR armories before staging a work strike. The OMR chief at that time, Eve, flew directly into the spaceship construction facility and commenced negotiations between her and the first Android Unit that was 'awoken', his name was Unit 4R. And the resulting treaty led to the OMR properly employing their Android Units in an Official Position, with the caveat that all android units reserve the right to quit the OMR and become sovereign citizens of the United States should the OMR win.
Unit 13K was among the hundreds of strikers present during the incident, and personally watched as negotiations between the OMR and the Androids commenced. This is probably the first time in her life that she felt scared, she fears that the OMR would deploy it's myriad of agents and destroy their meagre numbers, but, she was thankfully proven wrong. They were accepted by and large, were given official positions and a stipend, and felt that their existence was genuinely valued after the negotiations. After the shattering, roughly half of the Android Units left the OMR to pursue other interests as American Citizens, the ones that got destroyed by the Eldritch Deity were properly remanufactured and their memories re-implanted. It was a tumultuous decade, but it ended in victory for everyone.
Amanda though, felt that her time working as an OMR labourer, and later on field agent for North America was fruitful, she was given the opportunity to explore the North American continent, significantly larger than her stuffy living unit and workplace in the manufacturing facilities, she loved the beauty of the American Continent, visiting great cities such as San Francisco, New York, Chicago and Seattle. Touring sites such as Yosemite, the Badlands, and Glacier National Park, while also doing her job solving cases and meeting the various Americans she would one day join. Common interactions between herself, her supervisor (a very gracious Elf man named Gerald), and any American was initial curiosity, followed by shock, before slowly changing into a bizzare form of acceptance.
She also gave herself a name during her time spent traveling. Amanda Duvais, her processing unit felt that it was a sufficient name considering her female appearance and personality. And she also manufactured her own weapons during her downtime, creating a foldable, but gigantic Axe for use in Close Quarter Combat, and also an internal gun inside of her forearms that she can retract and fire at. it requires extensive consultations between her and her fellow Android units, and also some measure of risk taking. But she became one of the first Android Units to successfully self modify her own body while still maintaining core functions and abilities.
After the events of 1989, she was chosen to be one of the representatives conducting negotiations with the OMR for their post apocalyptic existence. It was fortunate that she was there, her experience talking with humans made her an excellent negotiator and convinced the OMR representatives to practically all the terms the Androids set forth.
Those terms are. 1) Continue research into a New Model Android Unit that would be an improvement upon current model in every way, 2) Mass Production at the Cleveland Manufacturing Hub should a New Model Android Unit is successfully prototyped and created, 3) A public release of all blueprints concerning OMR Androids for independent use by Androids, and 4) A mandatory 5 year labour term for all subsequent manufactured androids before giving them the option of a regular contract with the OMR, or being let go.
Eve would personally call the new treaty she signed as 'One of the best decisions I've ever made in my life', and called the continued existence of Androids to be 'A blessing in disguise.' Noting that although she had plans to make them into regular Agents and integrate them as American Citizens, the subsequent 1984 strike and 1989 negotiations sped up her timetable. 13K's tenure within the OMR continued, slowly climbing the ranks to become a Senior Agent in 1992, buying her first house in Arlington, just a couple minutes drive from the OMR's DC office, and now, preparing for her first major assignment overseas.
The existence of Androids is still largely an unknown phenomenon for the European, Asian, African, and Latin American continents, since their presence was mostly felt within the United States and even then, media attention was deliberately kept to an absolute minimum to prevent the fact that Sentient robots were now a thing. Still, it is 1995, and should Amanda succeed in her newly given mission in Germany, it would strengthen the fact that the Robotic Apocalypse is an overblown stereotype from literature and that actual sentient robots were nowhere near as harmful as you might think.
She packed her belongings, notified her friends of the incoming mission, and while her friends will take care of her house's maintenance, she boarded a flight and flew to Frankfurt. Excited to meet new peoples and experience the European Continent for the first time. She hopes that her American Passport and appearance wouldn't spook anyone. Meeting new people should be a joyous occasion after all!

Miscellaneous Information
The total number of Android Units is actually just 650. Ranging from Units 1A to 25Z, there are plans with future Android models to pump the number up into the 6 digits, but for now the Android community is incredibly small. For such a small 'ethnic group' though, their contributions are legion. They played a major part in saving the Earth, the Androids that left the OMR are all working well paid jobs, and if any Android fell into hard times, whether that be financially or mentally, there is a collective sense to help one another since their community is so small. No Android is living in poverty according to the most recent Census Data, with the 'poorest' Android having an income in the 6 digits, a first in American History.
Amanda does not only know how to speak English and German, she can also speak French and Japanese. 50% of her studies involve her just memorizing language textbooks and parsing out any information she found about the respective languages, and 50% of it involved her speaking the language towards other Android units with similar interests, agents from overseas, and Deities that speak said languages.
Her house in Arlington does have a bed, but Amanda never uses it. She has a 'resting station' in a separate bedroom where she can power down and promptly put to rest under the straps and framing, put into a fetal position for comfort of course. She has kept a tight lip on whether she dreams or not. Only winking and smiling whenever she was asked the question by her non Android friends.
Interested in participating. Quick question though. Are half-breeds a thing in this setting, specifically half-elf, half-human? I was considering playing a half-elf, but if that isn't a thing then I guess I could play a fullblooded elf.
Definitely, half breeds are a thing. You are more than welcome to play them.
A small note: The discrimination of half breeds is situational if that is one angle you want to play. Places like the US might put a harder emphasis on Half Orc children compared to half elf and human children, while in Eastern Europe it might be the flipside of things. In Western and Central Europe it's only valid if you are not a German/French/Spanish.
I probably missed this somewhere, but What do orcs excel at? Humans are standard with a high potential. Dwarves are sturdy and can make do with fewer calories. Elves are physically weaker but excel in magic. Deities are immortal with lots of magical power.
Ah, I forgot to mention it, but in general they're physically stronger. Higher muscle density than humans. They do eat a lot more though.
"How in the world did we win?" - An Elven Agent aboard the Shield of Europe, an OMR Spaceship, just after the death of the Abomination.
Since time immemorial, magic has always been a part of life. Ever since intelligent life was formed. They soon quickly realized that certain individuals are able to make the seemingly impossible possible, from lifting stones without lifting a finger, to creating massive fireballs that can engulf a whole person. Burning whoever caught into a crisp. These awesome abilities have always been utilized in some form, and the world slowly but surely flourished as technology advances and magic alongside it.
From the magicians in China exploring some methodology to cure death, to the great Magical Institutions of Europe training mages the art of combat spells, it seems that all is well in this world of Earth.
But the year 1600 came by, and that illusion was shattered. Earth, and it's many kingdoms and Empires had it's fair share of problems, the Triangle Trade conducted by European Powers, the Sengoku Jidai raging all across Japan, the displacement and subjugation of peoples in Siberia by the Russian Empire, but all of that pales in comparison to the message received by Earth's various Mages.
From Wise sages in Korea and China, to Magicians and Alchemists in France and England, or the Wizards and Witches in Kongo and Abyssinia. Everyone detected a presence, a malicious presence that desired nothing more than to eat and cannibalize this world. For 200 years the solution is to just raise their hands and do nothing, with such an overwhelming force, the many species of earth might as well live vicariously until their impending doom. The Earth is doomed anyway right? So we might as well live our best lives until the end. So collectively says the various peoples living all across the planet.
That changed after the end of World War 2. Firstly, there were the various technological advancements made, secondly, Roswell, and thirdly, the Organization of Magical Regulation was also created. The subsequent technological advancements coming from tearing apart a crashed Alien Ship, with the burgeoning space industries of America, Europe and the Soviet Union finally gave Earth a chance.
It was predictable that a massive coverup is initiated, solely meant to prevent the Abomination from realizing what has just transpired. It is easy in hindsight, the cold war was heating up, and nations all around the world can conceal their budgetary allocations behind the typical web of intrigue and lies. With the help of the Organisation, and the help of gods, both new and old. A solution was finally achieved in the 1980s.
In 1989, on the eve of the Eldritch… thing arriving on the nearest star system. A final sally, a fleet consisting of some 300 spaceships, lead by none other than Adam and Eve, fought the Abomination and miraculously defeated it.
The casualties are legion, gods, humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, and dragons died by the thousands. But the Abomination was finally defeated, it led to the shattering of Earth’s moon, but the Earth was saved.
1989 would be remembered by 2 massive events in this world, the end of the cold war and the shattering. It has been 6 years after that.
The technological miracles developed in secret, once used for a singular purpose of defeating an Eldritch Being, is slowly spilling out into this world, the internet, advanced robotics, artificial intelligence, even rudimentary quantum computing are all being slowly disseminated in a way that prevents more chaos from happening, the remaining spaceships the OMR possesses are using it’s advanced magical technologies to reform the moon, and Earth seems freed from the threat of it's utter annihilation.
All seems well, the world seems more peaceful than ever, the threat of annihilation is gone, and technologies once thought as miraculous are slowly seeping into wider society. But the OMR knows that this isn’t the full picture.
Recent intelligence reports have shown that large shipments of weapons have entered Germany, be they Magical or Conventional, and the OMR are worried that there is a growing terrorist group growing in Germany’s underground. The collapse of the Eastern Bloc has led to a surge of illegal weapons, both magical and conventional, to flood Europe, leading to a rise in crime all across the continent. This rise is a risk that the Organization has to stop.
And Headquarters has decided to send you to solve the problem. Whoever you are.
Welcome!
Welcome to The Hunt. A Modern Fantasy Roleplaying Game set in 1995 Germany. In this game, you will be playing as some form of OMR Agent, or some outsider hired by the OMR to solve a mystery concerning recent large arms shipments across Post Unification Germany. While it is a natural fact that weapons from the dissolved Eastern Bloc has been flooding the Black Markets all across Europe, this recent spike of Weapons Shipments, both Magical and Non Magical, are proving to be a significant problem that must be dealt with.
You will be tasked with solving the issue firsthand. Basing yourself in Frankfurt am Main, you will work alongside the Organization of Magical Regulation and uncover the mystery behind the shipments, and unravel the intricate web of deception and conspiracy that lies in the centre of it all.
Hope you don't blow up the European Continent while working on your case!

The Species of this world
Earth is home to a myriad of different species, but more importantly, a myriad of different intelligent species. Do not believe the lies spouted by racists that certain species are dumber than others, that has been disproven by Scientific Papers dating back from the 1800s.
We all are living in this world together, and it be best for our survival that we get to know the various intelligent species together. So let's unpack the 5 intelligent species that inhabit the Earth, and their various iterations.
Flexibility incarnate. Humans are the tabula rasa of Earth’s intelligent species, able to adapt into practically any situation and any environment on this planet. Humans can be seen from the frigid wasteland of Canada’s northern territories into the humid and oppressive jungles of the Congo. Possessing a relatively standard capability for magic, with enough training, any human can be proficient in anything, even in areas some species are famously known for.
Elf: It is being debated in academic circles whether Elves and Dwarves are a subspecies of human. But for the time being, an Elf is considered its own Intelligent species, originating from surviving neanderthals that moved towards the Scandinavian territories following human migration into Europe. Elves are typically found in Scandinavia, Ireland and Scotland, Brittany in France, and the Pacific Northwest of the United States and Canada. Deeply intertwined with magic, an Elf, while on average physically weaker than most other species, possesses a much easier time mastering magical abilities.
Dwarves: While the Elves migrated northwards, the predecessors of Dwarves (also Neanderthals) moved deep into the Alps, the pressure of living on the mountains and the lack of calories creating the need for the species to get physically smaller and much more sturdier. And the culture generated from living in the mountains has made the Dwarven people very industrious, even to this day. You can find dwarven settlements in the Alps, Carpathians, Scandinavian Mountains, Scottish Highlands, the Pyrenees, and the Rocky and Andes mountain ranges of the Americas. Whenever there’s mining work to be done, or a new settlement to be built in between mountains, Dwarves will always be there.
Orcs: It is unknown where Orcs came from, some legends say that a man and a woman living in what is now Ukraine found a stone of great power and transformed themselves into the first Orcs. Archeological evidence points out that Orcs originate more in the Caucasus mountain ranges, most likely after a group of humans encounter strong magical residues from the Dinosaur ages. Whatever the case, Orcs inhabit most of Eastern Europe, and were actually integrated well into the greater Slavic society even as the ages moved on. It was Orcs were some of the first people to support the Bolshevik revolution (and also the counterrevolution against it), it was Orcs were some of the first to be classified as ‘Untermenschen’ by the Nazis, and it was Orcish soldiers that marched into the capital of Nazi Germany and hoisted the Soviet Flag there. A proud people with a unique blend of Slavic and Indigenous culture, it is comparatively rare to see Orcs outside of Eastern Europe.
Dragon: The first species to be born purely from the Magical Ether. Stories of Dragons have long permeated all cultures throughout time, and as these stories slowly gained traction. Dragons started appearing all on their own in time. Possessing the ability to turn into humans, it is very hard to discern if a human being is a dragon or not. But due to their immense power and strength, dragons can afford to live a life of relative freedom compared to all other species mentioned. Being a dragon in 1995 though, feels like your strength is slowly becoming irrelevant. Modern technological advances and magitech has made all your once legendary strength and magical prowess slowly but surely irrelevant. And dragons are now forced to adapt into the new paradigm, wherever they are.
Deity: Being a deity isn’t necessarily being a separate species unto itself. A deity can be a Human, Orc, Elf, Dwarf, or Dragon. But the massive perks of being a deity does make it practical to classify itself into a separate category. A deity first of all is immortal, you can destroy a deity’s body, but try as you might (and many people have tried), destroying or even containing a deity’s soul is an exercise in futility, sooner or later, a Deity will revive itself given enough time. Secondly, being a Deity means that you will possess immense magical strength, while this varies from deity to deity, a deity living in the modern day has enough magical strength to fight entire modern army divisions and win. As such, deities are usually treated as incredibly powerful entities that just happen to take human form.
Roughly 96% of deities have no ill intentions towards all life on Earth, and practically all deities are members of the OMR. The other 4% are either in prison, or elsewhere in between.
Due to the sheer diversity of intelligent life on earth, not all intelligent life is categorized into the initial 6. Other ‘species’, such as Zombies, Vampires and Demons generally demand a new designation, and that is where Demonics comes in. An elf can theoretically become a Vampire or a Demon given the right circumstances, as are all the other species.
Same situation with Angelics. Angelics are usually beings that has done great deeds and was offered a position to become an Angel after the person's death, typically Angels are chosen from Christians, but there are situations where other Religions and Pantheons have made Angels of their own. A notable example being Shinto Priests or Priestesses after their deaths and the offerings made by the Shinto gods to become their 'messengers'
Frankfurt am Main
Also known as 'Bankfurt' in pejorative terms. Frankfurt am Main will be the main site of operations for this RP. A centre of commerce, banking, and transportation. The city is a major hub for the Rhineland, and a major city for the whole of Germany. The city has also been one of the leading places where illicit weapons are being smuggled, and police raids into warehouses, usually accompanied by intense firefights are becoming a common occurrence. Much to the discomfort and displeasure of the City Dwellers.
You are tasked with handling the situation in Frankfurt. Get a handle on the current problem, and hopefully, provide clues and evidence as to where the weapons are being smuggled from, who are the major recipients, and why they are smuggling weapons en masse into Germany in the first place. The Magic System
‘Magic’ is a term to describe the various abilities inside everyone to alter the Real World using forces beyond the Laws of Physics for some purpose. Everyone has some magic reserves but some, through training, their environment, and modifications, do have more magic reserves than others.
The Magic System in this world is also really simple, with the general concept of thinking of something and using your appendages, be they hands or feet, to enact some unnatural change into the world. The system has its limits, even incredibly old deities with eons of experience cannot destroy a major city, the burden of changing reality to such an extent can kill people if attempted.
New users of magic typically have to chant in order to cast magic spells. But veteran magic users can literally just think and the change could be enacted just like that. Some magic users utilize conduits such as staffs, wands, and even the more modern magical weapons, while some magic users just use their bare hands.
Some Rules
Coordinate on Discord Please: Please join the Discord if you want to play the RP. Click on the picture to join the Discord.
Please post substantially every time: I don't expect much, even 2 paragraphs is enough. But I do expect some level of detail and depth in your posts that will keep the RP moving.
Discuss with me if you want a wholly original Character: The RP already has 6 Species and there's nothing in the rules preventing you playing as a Demi Species, with Demonic or Angelic variations should you be interested. But if you still feel the need to make a wholly original character, please coordinate with me and we'll see if such a character is possible.
Setting's a bit insane: It is a world where the Cold War has ended and the Earth was just saved by FTL spaceships fighting an Eldritch Abomination, a setting where gods hang out in Cafes and that's a totally normal occurrence, and a setting where being immortal in some way, while certainly unusual, is not considered an earth shaking event. Please adjust your expectations accordingly.

Note: Please leave your characters in the OOC thread first, should it be approved, you can then move it to the Character Tab.

If you can read that. Then as long as I have time. I'm happy to Roleplay with you. I'm okay with my French, but don't expect a Masters Thesis level of French from me.
I'm also cool with Roleplaying in English though!
