I didn't quite catch it the first time, but I find it very sweet that he's starting to think of her as his own daughter.

Also, feel free to roll the scene forward if you can't think of much more.
Jinny’s eyes went wide at Slade’s declaration. “Wait, you’re coming with me?” Her eyes sparkled with joy. “Yaay! That’s so awesome!”

She was relieved. While she was absolutely determined to make a friend, she wasn’t sure if it was actually going to happen. After all, she didn’t have much experience in it. But if her uncle was right, there would be plenty of kids her age with similar views around. Not being thought of as weird was probably the first step. The rest she was just going to have to work out on her own.

“If you’re going to be a teacher, I don’t think the other kids know what they’re in for. You’re not the nice kind of teacher.” She was still smiling, though. Then she backtracked a bit, realizing she might have been insulting. “Not saying you’re mean. But when you spar with me… you kick my butt. A lot.” While she knew he wasn’t fighting her at anything near full strength, he never failed to take advantage of her mistakes. She had bruises to prove it. Jinny had lost over and over again. It was a frustrating not even to be able to land a proper strike. But she would, one day. She got faster and more adept with every fight.

“I have a question though.” She peered up at him curiously. “Is the fact that I’m adopted by you going to be a secret there? Or am I allowed to talk about it?” When she had taken her first steps into the underworld, there had been a rather frank discussion about enemies and danger. Considering where they were headed, she wasn’t sure if their connection would prove more dangerous than ever.

Interactions: The Team, @Courtaud

Kassandra stared at the hologram Batman and tried not to squirm. Even though he was leagues away and wearing a mask, it was a struggle not to be intimidated by that stare. She listened as their mission was described, and was quite surprised when Talon was chosen to lead.

She was even more surprised, and impressed, when he began speaking quickly and tactically about what their mission duties were. It was a bit of a shock: Talon spoke up less than she did, although she had been working on that quite a bit. Still, the others would be beginning to see that she was holding something back. What exactly, was a mystery.

“Infiltration, huh? I can manage that.” She could manage the cold, too. It wasn’t something she usually thought about, but it was cold in Atlantis compared to the surface. A few adjustments to her costume and some closed shoes, and she would be fine.

“Talon, unless you’ve got more to say, I’ll go get ready.” Already her stomach was twisting, with a strange mix of anxiety and excitement. At least she’d get to do some good work before she was kicked off the team. That day was always going to be looming over her head.

The day everyone found out what she was, and what she had done.

It was just a matter of time.
Oh, ok. That's why I never heard of the term. I game a lot, but never online.
What does sandbagging mean?
I think having 3 and 3 is the most viable solution to keep this RP going.
Jinny is actually very happy about this. She has yet to reach the stage of disliking her parental figure. Though I imagine she may rebel a little when she is older.

Granted I'm not fully sure how she'll rebel, considering Slade probably wouldn't bat an eye unless she got caught? Maybe she'll be a vigilante for a month before deciding its boring.
Alright, no worries. Thanks for the update. I hope it stops fighting you.
What was this? Was Roxy actually opening up, even though it was just a little? Usually it would be the brush off and the 'I'm fine'. But this sounded like the honest truth.

Devika felt guilty somehow. Of course she wasn't naïve enough to think that everyone had an amazing family. But at the same time, she'd never thought about Roxy's family. Mostly because Roxy herself never mentioned them.

"I'm sorry, I didn't think of that. This all must be so awkward for you." Devika sighed, ducking her head slightly. "You must feel really left out, huh?" She shook her head, curls bouncing.

"Well, it's only for this weekend. And I know you can manage yourself." Still, she felt that twinge of guilt, wondering if anything could be made better.

"Thank you for being open with me. I really appreciate it."
JInayah caught the eye of one of the foreign princes, who smiled at her. She hesitantly smiled back, hoping no one saw. She wasn't sure about forming connections to strangers, but she still was expected to be polite.

After the half orc was the one - eyed prince of Prozdy. He fumbled with their language, and she found herself feeling a little sorry for him. Luckily, Father was well-versed in many languages, as were his daughters. Hopefully that would smooth things over.

She cast her eyes around, looking at the assembled crowds. It seemed all the nobles in the kingdom had turned up, and then some. The palace was very full.

Well, that was 3 of the princes she'd seen so far. Had she missed the last?
