Battle Of Dragonrage Pass

~@Eisenhorn~

Gnazgraz was caught off-guard from your manuever and dropped his weapons when you kicked him in the crotch, allowing you to move away and assume a more favorable position. The Varjan Warlord replied with an angry cry and a daring manuever. He grabbed hold of your blade with an iron-like grip and pulled you towards him. He then seized your neck and lifted you up with his free hand before completely holding you above his head.

With another cry, Gnazgraz hurled you towards the Varjan group. There, you were surrounded and alone amongst bloodthirsty warriors. There was no escaping from their blades and axes short of a miracle. A miracle did indeed come for a dragon in the air breathed balls of fire upon the Varjans, giving a certain Askrian Prince an opportunity to come to your aid. "Hey! Are you alright?!" Alfonse called to you, fighting off any Varjan Warrior who tried to stop him.

"Here." The royal handed you his Silver Sword. It appeared that you have lost your rapier whilst you went flying across the battlefield. "Get Gnazgraz. I'll clear a way for you." And with that, Alfonse began fighting the Varjans armed with only his shield. Though, he was doing a pretty good job at it.

Gnazgraz was a bit of distance from you, fighting more stragglers from the encampment with his new weapon: A Steel Lance. Alfonse and the others have been distracting the Varjans to allow you a straight path at him.

~@Polaris North (FRN)~

Your presence in the sky caught the attention of many but that did little to dissuade anyone from fighting further.

The fire you breathed further broke apart the Varjans. However, their leader lived still and so their line held and kept fighting off anyone who tried to pass through them. At the very least, you gave your allies below a space to breath and recollect themselves.

However, your domination over the sky was soon challenged. Projectiles of all kinds were being hurled towards you. There were too many to evade and so you took some hits while you flew. While some were mere arrows that bounced off you harmlessly, others were of higher quality and managed to break off some of your scales. Some were plain magic and that bypassed your natural defenses. Staying in the air any further invited danger to your life but was the ground any safer?

~@Sho Minazuki~

Your group of misfits appeared to be split fighting two groups of enemies at once. On one side, Prince Jarde and some others were fighting a regiment of Archanean Soldiers led by a Paladin. On the other side, Prince Alfonse and his sister along with others fought the Varjan Warriors led by a gladiator-looking warrior who was keen on blocking anyone trying to leave the chaos.

The Archanean Paladin was about to crush the pegasus-riding girl beneath his horse's hooves but it looked like others were coming to her rescue and deal with the horseman. Still, Archanean Paladins were not easy to defeat. They lead on the frontlines after all and that meant that they tended to be better fighters than those they lead. He was just knocked off his horse by a narrowly-avoided spear so he was more vulnerable now.

Meanwhile, over at the Varjan side of the fight, things were more desperate. While Prince Alfonse and the others were doing pretty well for themselves, you could see that they were having difficulty in their fights. Unsurprising considering Varjan Warriors were clad in thick armor and wielded well-forged weapons as well as being Varjans, a people who knew war and violence since birth. You spot their leader in the middle of dealing with stragglers trying to escape, reveling in the bloodshed he was causing.

~@Polaris North (LNA)~

The spear you threw did not hit its mark. It was evaded, in fact, but the evasion cost the Paladin his height advantage by riding his horse.

You see the Soldiers form a small line that stood between their Paladin superior and Emma and her white-clothed protector. You see Emma charge and fight the Soldiers in order to open up the Paladin to attack, the attacker clearly being the white-clothed woman. However, you know Paladins were no pushovers when it came to fighting and you have no idea about the woman's combat prowess. Also, Emma appeared to be a good fighter considering how she was able to hold off five Soldiers but they were still five Soldiers and Emma was but alone.

No one appeared to be paying attention to you right now so you were free to assist either of the two.

~@Zaphander~

"We have to go. Can you run?"
Danica

"Yeah, yeah. I can." The girl replied. "The question is, can we?"

The Paladin did not appreciate your timely rescue and was about to swing his Silver Sword when a spear thrown his way caught his attention. He barely evaded it with a sudden turn and that made him fall off his horse. His Soldiers were quick to put themselves between him and you, putting their lives on the line to protect their superior.

"It's a long story but we're trying to take down the Paladin so we could escape. And this is our chance!" The pegasus girl told you, giving you a short gist of what she was trying to do. "I'll take on the Soldiers while you deal with the Paladin, okay? Let's go!" She said before charging ahead. Despite her petite figure, she did fight off the Soldiers protecting the Paladin and allowing the opportunity to strike the latter unimpeded.

You spot the Paladin getting up using his sword. He saw you too and he and readied himself for a fight.

~@Lugubrious~

Your predicament with the two swordsmen was solved quite readily when one of them was attacked by a Prince Jarde. The royal wielded a Steel Lance and with the element of surprise, he managed to get your attackers away from you, relieving you from your dangerous position as well as giving you a moment to recompose yourself.

However, the two swordsmen were not done but at least this time you had someone to fight with you. A royal of Elibe no less. "Nice to see a fellow lance user." Prince Jarde remarked as he stood beside you, his own lance at the ready. "Get one and I'll get the other. What do you say?"

@Eviledd1984

Yes. Please make the necessary edits.
Forgot to include Nephele and Maria's part where they arrive at the guild.

Of course, they'll have a 'quest' within the guild depending on what they do.
I was going to post hours earlier but a fire near our house forced us to evacuate and delay the update.

But we're safe and so, here's an update!

@Zaphander

Your time has come!
Opera Night
~@The Irish Tree (NEP)~

"I've failed already, but...will you come with us?"
Nephele Francine Megalos III

Christine was about to take your hand when her gaze quickly shifted towards the windows. The dawn was breaking, beams of sunlight began to pierce and illuminate the dark manor.

Your ward then looked back at you and smiled. She then began to dissipate in the same way the once-beautiful manor transformed into its more dilapidated state. As the sun grew brighter, Christine grew more transparent until her last vestiges were gone. However, her bright smile conveyed to you that she was thankful. Thankful for acting as her protector in this dark time. It appeared that she nor anything you saw earlier was real but your actions were real enough. Have you finally given this story a happier end?

Regardless, morning had come and apparently that ended whatever spell that befell upon you and this old and abandoned manor. Being awake and in action for the entire day exhausted you, even if you were a monster. Fortunately, you had enough strength to meet with Maria and head on home.

~@EvilEdd1984~

You cast your icy spell against the shadow figure but surprisingly, it went completely through him. Your ineffectual attack spelled doom for you... if not for the figure suddenly stopping as if he was given a command. He stood there unmoving before you as sunlight began to pierce through the manor windows, indicating that morning had come. Your shadowy enemy began to dissipate and disappear just like how the manor transformed from its bright and beautiful state into what it was now.

The shadow figure was completely gone when the sun had completed its rise. Things were probably confusing for you but perhaps you could ask Nephele about it. For now, you were tired for being awake the entire day not to mention participating in the play as well as fighting the shadow intruder. It was time to reunite with your draconic companion and head on home.

"We can fancy it up if you wish with a prefix or a metal, but rumor has already started to travel of a new 'Guild' that accepts Monster girls into it's ranks and accepts missions. To rebrand ourselves completely might confuse things."
Eilidh Chiron

"Excuse me... If, if I may add my input, as a new member. I think the miss centaur is right, maybe we could stay as just 'the Guild' for now?"
Ars Argento

"Just... The Guild?" Bart repeated the suggestion. "Err, don't you think it would be more confusing if we just call ourselves 'The Guild'? I mean, think about it. When people our talking about guilds, won't it get confusing between a 'guild' and the 'Guild'. Also, I think it's pretty lame that we're just 'The Guild' instead of a more unique name. Like the 'Platinum Band'."

"Well, I don't mind 'The Guild' but I agree with Bart that it could get confusing in conversations." Neil added. "If you guys want, we can call it 'The Guild In... What's this region called again?"

"It... doesn't have a name. We're literally in the border between two regions. Three, technically." Haley answered.

"Cool." Neil replied sarcastically. "So, 'The Guild' then? And hope everyone knows what they're talking about?"

"Oh, don't be such a downer. I'm pretty sure we're all clear here." Haley assured Neil. "Besides, I'm pretty sure we're the only guild around here. I think people are going to know it's us when they're talking about 'The Guild'." The Siren explained. "Besides, if it really does cause some confusion or if you guys feel like it, we can change the name and just tell everyone about it."

"That's true." Bart nodded. "We can change our name in the future. I realize that right now we may be too tired to be thinking about a name. Let us all stick with 'The Guild' for now and talk about this in the future."

And with that, the day had ended.

---THE NEXT DAY---

~@EvilEdd1984, @The Irish Tree (NEP)~

Nephele and Maria return to the guild well after the morning had begun. Their compatriots in the guild were probably awake by now and ready to start the day. Unfortunately, Nephele and Maria's exhausted bodies demanded the opposite. They could push it and take another quest for the day but that would carry consequences in the future.

After entering through the doors, Nephele and Maria were greeted by a sight of Bart and Neil posting papers onto the request board. "Nephele? Maria? By the gods, what happened to you two?" The guild master quickly inquired about them. "You didn't return last night. What happened?"

"And you guys look like crap." Neil chimed in, also worried about Nephele's and Maria's health. "Whatever you did yesterday looks like took a toll on you. You two probably should take it easy for today." The boy recommended.

"I agree. You two should just stay put and get some sleep and rest for today. But perhaps you guys should grab a bite first?"

~@Rune_Alchemist (ARL & PAP), @The Irish Tree (MAG), @Silver Carrot (ELD & REB), @13org (FYR & BST), @Kyun~

The next morning had arrived and you all wake up to Neil and Bart pinning papers at the request board. "Good morning everyone. Another day for The Guild." Bart greeted all of you.

Meanwhile, Neil looked at the papers at the request board. "The requests for today are ready, guys." He remarked as he looked at the request board.

"Oh yeah, a messenger came earlier." Bart said. "He has a package for Bast. From the clinging inside, I think it's a bunch of gold."

{INCOME YESTERDAY}
{@13org (FYR) & @Kyun: 100 G}
{@13org (BST): 200 G}
{@Silver Carrot (ELD & REB): 0 G}
{@Rune_Alchemist (ARL & PAP): 0 G}
{@The Irish Tree (MAG & NEP): 0 G}
{@Eviledd1984: 0 G}

It was up to the guild members if they wish to share their reward with the guild or keep it for themselves.

"Here are the requests available, everybody." Bart told everyone.

-----MAIN QUESTS-----

-----ONGOING QUESTS-----

The Sky Is The Limit

~@Zaphander (STR & FST)~

Following the directions to the newly-founded guild, you find yourselves in front of a great structure of stone and steel. The design screamed Dwarven but the broad, short people was highly unlikely to be found in these parts. Regardless, this was likely the building where the guild resided. The place where your next adventure would start.

You hear talking inside. Perhaps it was time for an entrance?
I'll try to get a post up some time tomorrow. My mind's on Re:Creators right now.

Got to get immersed in monster girl so I could make a decent post. lol, you never make a decent post Paul!
Battle Of Dragonrage Pass

~@Eisenhorn~

You successfully pierce the Varjan Warrior's throat, stopping his charge. His grip on his axe loosened, the weapon falling from his hand. He, too, also fell. Dead from the well-placed thrust.

But then a fist sent you to the ground again. You had another opponent but it was probably someone you did not expect. "Die! Die for Varjo!" Gnazgraz yelled as tried to drive his spiky sword upon you. You manage to block it in time, locking both your swords. However, Gnazgraz's might was proving superior and his blade's tip was nearing your chest each second. It was time to--

*BOOM*

You saw a fireball head towards the Varjans. Gnazgraz's attention shifted away from you to look upon the commotion, giving you the perfect opportunity to retaliate and move into a more favorable position.

~@Polaris North (FRN)~

Your fireball managed to blow a portion of the Varjan ranks. Everyone in the battle took a moment to notice your transformation before resuming battle.

Suddenly you feel a sting upon your hindleg. Apparently a Varjan Warrior has stuck his two-handed axe into you. Other Varjans have begun to do the same, hitting you with their weapons in a clear attempt to bring you down. Their weapons were not suited to take out dragons but the larger weapons were able to pierce your scales. Despite having ineffective weapons, the Varjans continued hacking away with you and your natural armor could only hold them for so long.

You needed to do something before you are overwhelmed.

~@Polaris North (LNA)~

The last of the Dwarves were killed and thus, you and your other allies were the only one holding off the Archaneans. Despite being outnumbered, your group was adept at fighting and managed to hold off the Soldiers. However, there was many of them and they were not going to break until their Paladin leader was still alive.

You then spot the red-ribboned girl ride her pegasus into the air before diving towards the Paladin. "EMMA!" The dark mage woman screamed. It was clear that her plan was to bypass the Soldiers and head directly to the Paladin, likely planning ot take him out to end the fight immediately. "Emma! What are you doing?!" The woman yelled again before her attention was fully occupied by an attacking Soldier.

The Paladin was ready, however, and with one, powerful swing of his sword, he knocked the girl named Emma from her pegasus. His horse then raised its forelegs and aimed its hooves at the grounded Emma who was too shocked to move.

You needed to do something but what can you do with the distance between you and Emma? Perhaps you could make use of the Soldiers' spears?

~@Zaphander~

Things went rather unfortunate as you made your way through the encampment in Dragonrage Pass. Things were pretty peaceful a moment ago but with a sudden explosion and some shouts of treachery, the entire encampment was up in arms. Regardless of your reasons being there, you were now caught up in the fighting between man and Dwarf.

You make it through the fighting and burning and found yourself a whole regiment of Archanean Soldiers fighting someone. You could not see who they were fighting though since you approached them from behind. What you could see, however, was an Archanean Paladin about to crush a helpless girl beneath his horse's hooves.

Will you intervene? And get yourself involved in this mess?
@13org @Silver Carrot

I don't mind a paragraph or even two lines for a post. We are in a dialogue-heavy scene after all.

-----

If things don't go... swimmingly soon, I may assume command of the situation of @The Irish Tree's Nephele and @Eviledd1984's Maria so as not to hold them up anymore.
Hey guys, I'd like to move the story forward now to reach the next day and introduce the new characters. Please post about the IC guild name or if you are still undecided, you may have your character request to postpone the discussion to have some time to think about it.

Thanks.
