I'll try to get a post out soon.
So, Novak would start praying. Prayer was perhaps, what all gods wanted in some form. Worship. Faith. The attention of mortals. Perhaps it could be said that Gods were even powerless without someone to believe in them. Was this Sage the same? But would it really be as easy as a prayer, when he had been told they didn’t like to involve themselves in mortal affairs?

I guess Nick's Novak now. I hope you don't mind sharing, @Crimson Paladin.

Nick let out a long sigh. "It was worth a shot..." He shrugged.

With the obelisk a dead end, Nick was left with no options but to head south. Establish contact with the people in those mountains and see if they could help him. He thought about going back to Dawn and snoop around some more, maybe even ask Kyrnith about it, but he had bothered the village too much now with him giving little in return. It would be rude of him if he pressed them any further.

Right, Nick would try his luck in the mountains. It was getting late, though, and he was a bit tired from walking all over Dawn looking for clues and trying to help. However, Nick didn't fancy hunkering down on a snow-covered forest with barely anything to use as a bed or shelter. Besides, who knew what could be lurking in these woods. Then again, the same could be said for the road towards the mountains. Regardless, Nick wasn't staying here and his feet were on the move once more.

Nick began his trip to the mountains, following the star that hovered overhead. He prayed and hoped nothing untoward would happen along the way.

"George is a client from the guild. We met a few times before. He is a good man. Got involved with some... slightly less than legal business but he is still a good man."
Freyr

"Ah, a rogue with a heart, huh?" Haley said, assuming the best of George. "So what exactly do you do? 'Stealing from the rich and giving to the poor' kind of thing?"

"Ahhh, sure! Let's go with that."

"At least that is what I hope. It could be a good idea for the guild to try sending someone there just to greet her and try to figure out her reasons for having dealt with Ravager's Rest and her plans for the place."
Freyr

"Meh, I think it is better to just leave well enough alone. But you are free to send someone to check up on place if you really want." George shrugged. "Now where are you two off to? I can give ride if it is not far." The 'merchant' kindly offered.

"We're on our way back to the Guild. I hope it's not too much trouble." Haley replied, already accepting the offer.

"No, no, is fine! I can take you to guild no problem. Hop on in!"

-

And so, you and Haley were aboard George's carriage. It was empty save for a sizable chest which was closed, giving no hint to its contents. You could see that your Siren girlfriend appreciated the ride, slouched over andher feet stretched out. The earlier quest was stressful and she took every opportunity to wind down.

"Whoa!" The carriage then hit a sharp bump that flung open the chest. Inside, you and Haley beheld a hill of gold, sparkling under the moonlight.

"Holy... Look at all this moolah. Is this all yours, George?" The Siren's eyes then narrowed as she began connecting the dots. "Wait a second, has this something to do with your 'slightly-less-than-legal-business'? What exactly do you do, Mister George?" Haley was in interrogation mode and nothing but the truth would stop her.

"Oh, uhh... Bunny man, help!"

"What.... What.....the actual.....fuck!?"
Kira Gigas

"I know you monsters do not have the heart for brutality like this." Maria began, aware of Kira's and most monsters' stance on wanton murder. "But we are fighting a war, and one where the deck is stacked against us. We can give no quarter, because our enemies will give us none."

"I see, our task are done then? Do we have to listen to the plan or will it come at a another date?"
Yang Bethlehem

"Later, we will notify you. You two should rest for now, you did very well. We owe this victory to you." Maria said. "Kayo, ibigay niyo na sa kanila iyong ginto nila. Malaking sako." She ordered the rebels before trotting away on her horse, off to handle other business.

Meanwhile, a rebel showed up carrying a large sack on both his hands. He then gave it to Kira who would notice it was quite heavy, fortunately she had the strength of a monster. "The sack. Full of gold. Able to buy castle, maybe."

The quest was done. Yang and Kira can now go back to the Guild or go somewhere else if they so wish.

The walk back to the cliff with the obelisk was fairly easy. It was where he and a few fellow Outsiders were transported to after escaping that courtyard with the two giants were fighting. Nick wondered who won that fight. While no doubt that both of them wouldn't have hesitated to harm him, he rooted for the golem thing since it looked less scarier and threatening than the black plant thing.

As for his fellow Outsiders, Nick wondered how Augusta and Isidore were doing in the mountains. Taking a glance over, the two stars still twinkled over the snowy peaks. Maybe he should've went with them after all, but what was done was done. Still, the mountains might be his next destination if nothing changes his course.

It was getting late when Nick reached the obelisk. The sun sank below the horizon as the scent of oceanwater filled his nose again. The black pillar casted its dark shadow over Nick who pondered on how to establish contact with the 'Sage'. Clasp his hands in prayer, just like how he did back in Earth when talking to the Heavenly Father? Well, it was worth a shot.

Nick brought his hands together and closed his eyes. He began whispering his words, "Great Sage. Though I am not of this land, nor this world, nor do I even have a sacred Moonblossom with me, I still pray to you for aid. Please answer my call."

Has it been 7 days already? It feels like I just updated yesterday...

"No, can't kill the defeated and captured. Makes us...worse. Please, don't kill her. If can, try to convince to help our side?"
Yang Bethlehem

"How about this: We take her back to camp and let Maria have the final word on what to do. It was her raid, so it's her decision, not ours."
Kira Gigas

"What?! No way! The Order has supported Varjo for as long as it has existed! Their soldiers deserve death as much as the Varjans do!" The rebels cheered at the rebuttal. "Besides, we have limited supplies so we cannot feed prisoners. And we have limited manpower so we cannot spare men to look after her."

"If you have not the heart nor the strength to do this, then leave her to us."

The rebels surrounded the unconscious lady knight. "For Sonarra!" The knight was then mercilessly gored by lots of axes from the rebels. She was chopped and hacked apart, blood and flesh flew in the air as the knight was butchered. Her only fortune was that she was not awake to experience the pain of being torn apart. The first aid Yang gave her was for naught as the lady knight was viciously executed.

Maria arrived embarked on a horse, the equine's trotting to a slow as they approached the Guild duo. "Once again, you have my gratitude, Guild. We are a step closer to power." Maria said, still atop her horse. "Soon we will be free from Varjo's shackles. Emilio is already making a plan to rid Sonarra of her Varjan garrison."

"Something has gone wrong, and so you must perform the duty I hired you for. It is a black, glossy piece of metal, appearing dark even in a well-lit room. It should be wrapped in several layers of cloth, but if it is not take care not to touch it with your bare hands. Do not allow anyone to come into direct physical contact with the shard. Wrap it carefully and return to me."
Fanilly Danbalion

"Angroron. It's a piece of Angroron. What idiots were keeping that around without telling the Church? Who sent you?"
Tyaethe Radistirin

"You realize we can't exactly let you walk away with the artifact. I imagine your employer is going to be a bit cross about that, but is that going to be an issue with your lot? Don't know what you're getting paid, but I doubt trading blows with the Roses was included in the billing."
Gillian Reynaud

"Hold on, guys. What's an 'Angry Moron'?" Jarde's question was drowned out by the other knights who were infuriated that a piece of immense evil was housed secretly in this fort. But context was enough, if it angered the veteran Iron Roses and somehow managed to cause all of this carnage then this 'Angry Moron' must be quite the artifact. Not only that, it appeared that multiple groups were aware of its location and had come looking for it. The pileup was just making Jarde's head spin.

Sir Gillian suggested to team-up with the mercenaries for now in search for the evil artifact, something that Jarde completely agreed with, but he made it pretty clear that once found, the 'Angry Moron' piece would be coming with the Iron Roses. Something that might cause an issue with Alette's band who was sent here to retrieve said artifact.

"W-Well, why don't we actually find this black metal first and then worry about who gets it later?" Jarde tried to diffuse the tension. "Who knows, maybe Miss Sharky-Shark may later change her mind about lugging around a piece of wacky evil that took down a fort by just being there. She doesn't want the same thing to happen to her own mercenaries, does she?"

"Now then, who goes with who and who goes where? Most importantly, does anyone have some extra sheets or cloths to wrap 'Angry Moron' with?"
I'll try to get a post out too.

“I...yes, you came from elsewhere? ‘Earth’? It must be a village very far away, but I don’t see how that is...relevant?”
Lord Enli

"I, no, it's..." Nick sighed and decided against clarifying to the village leader. "...Never mind. Yeah, me and the others came from a place very, very far away."

“There’s mention of a ‘Moonblossom’ at times in some records, although I don’t know what it is. Other than that...I can’t say. I apologize I can’t be of more help in this matter.”
Lord Enli

"Moonblossom, huh?" Well, Nick had no idea what that was either. Although, he guessed it must be some flower or plant based from its name. Did he need this 'Moonblossom' to contact the Sage? Now that would be a problem. Still, it was way better than nothing. "I'll keep that in mind. Maybe I'll go look for... whatever Moonblossom is later."

"Thanks again, Lord Enli. I'd love to help out your village as well as your relationship with Kyrnith buuut, it's looks like there's enough people on that already. So I'm just gonna stay out of there way. Err, sorry." Nick said. "Word of advice, if you want people to approach Kyrnith more often, you gotta make the Elder Beast look welcoming. Invest in paths and trails and maybe some decor even. Of course, nothing that would offend or upset Kyrnith."

"Well, I gotta go again. Say hi to Kyrnith for me." After bidding farewell to Lord Enli, Nick would exit the longhouse and start searching for the obelisk to try and contact the Sage. The 'Moonblossom' was still in his mind and he suspected he would need it but Nick decided to try and make contact anyway. What did he have to lose?

Then again, he could use his only power to find out what Moonblossom was but it wasn't night yet.
