I'll go that way yeah. And I wanted to ask your thoughts on how other Demons would view or react to a male specimen? My character is going to be a bit ditzy and naive

Well canonically, your character would be taken by monster scholars to be be guarded like Area 51 since he's figuratively one of a kind. But we can fudge some stuff so he can be part of the RP.
@Dark Cloud

Well that's your choice, but I think Demon's fine.

Also, thanks for the interest everybody! OOC will probably go up in a few days.

The island of Shizuyama has always resisted the yokai.

While the rest of Zipangu placated or even worshipped the monsters, the people of Shizuyama defied them. Our ancestors drove the yokai off the island many ages ago and established a haven for humans to live in, a land to call their own without the presence of a monster looming over them, a home where they could truly be free.

This had been so for Shizuyama since time immemorial, even after The Great Change. Even when alliances shifted and the lands around them remade, the island stood by its traditions. Unwavering and unbreakable.

But now, a fleet of war sails from the horizon. And with them, a challenge that will shake the traditions that Shizuyama holds dear.

Hello again, Roleplayer Guild! I am once again starting a monster girl roleplay set in Kenkou Cross' (in)famous series, Monster Girl Enyclopedia. Specifically, this concerns an anti-monster island in Zipangu (MGE Japan) about to be invaded by its supposed allies.

However, the players are not expected to be locals of Shizuyama. Instead, their characters would be part of a taskforce recruited by a powerful Inari yokai tasked with investigating as to why these anti-monster humans are fighting each other. More details can be found below.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Oh and characters sheets will be reserved for the OOC.
Pinging @13org, @Restalaan, @AzureKnight, @Rezod92 and @Stern Algorithm

Y'know, if any of y'all are interested.

Oh and @AzureKnight will be the co-GM as he has helped considerably in making this RP.

“I’m...Baba…of the Yaga tribe. I…live here. Not that it matters. I know…why you’re here. I’m accepting my fate, servant of the Goddess. I have no regrets or misgivings about what I’m doing to that village. Just…make it quick.”
Baba

Nick gulped, his worst fears coming true. He knew it was a possibility that this red-hooded stranger living in an isolated cabin in the middle of nowhere could be the 'witch', and it appeared she also knew his true purpose here. Well, sort of the true purpose. Everyone expected Nick to eliminate the witch once found but Nick knew he was slaying no witches in this quest even if he wanted to.

Releasing a sigh, Nick stood up and decided to clear some things first. "You're right. I AM here to kill you, but I won't." He declared. "I'm not sure if I even can. I don't know magic, I don't know any awesome karate moves and I lost my knife to a dead dog. I don't think I'll be hurting anyone anytime soon." Nick glanced to the side. It may have been unwise to reveal that he was practically harmless, but maybe this could end without bloodshed.

"What's your deal with Liven anyway?" Nick asked the main question. "...If you don't mind me asking."

“I’ve…not seen you here before...are you with…Liven? Or…are you just a traveler?”

Nick was still resting by the fire so he never saw the stranger change positions. Although, he did hear her footsteps move. He was wary, but too tired to carefully choose his words. "Oh, just a traveler. Uhh, but I did come from Liven. Got there 'cause of... reasons. Some of them involving running away from gigantic beings that want to squish me to paste." He briefly recounted his recent adventure. "Too bad there's a lot of zombos there so I had to do some more running."

"I've heard that the undead there was the work of a witch. If that's true, then I'd definitely have words with the witch." Nick let out his naive thoughts. "What are they even doing tormenting a tiny little village? The undead aren't even running around willy-nilly, they seem to just... surround the village for some reason. Although, I guess there's that weird creature that actually invades houses..."

Nick finally turned his upper body to look at the stranger. "But enough about me, how 'bout you? What's your story? It's a good thing those zombos don't reach this place, eh?"

The bushes were unremarkable, as Nick saw. They might be even the same as the ones back in Earth.

Before he could ponder on this any further, Nick's ears heard the creak of a door opening and immediately raised his head. It appeared that the cabin's occupant had finally decided to reveal themselves. The figure on the door was none other than the little red-hooded fellow that fled from the altercation between Nick and some really bad undead dogs. But now that Nick was close enough, he could see the figure's snow-white locks of hair dropping and disappearing again into her cloak, apparently a coat trimmed with hair.

And... that was about the farthest Nick could see, her face was still obscured by the hood save for her light-colored eyes. Although, he did notice two small bumps on her hood.

“...If its just a rest…okay then.”

The invitation almost made Nick scramble to the entrance and inside to get out of this blasted snow. "Thank you! Like, a lot!" But he decided to approach in a calm, but brisk, pace. Suffering from hypothermia was no reason to abandon manners. At least, not yet for Nick.

The cabin interior was just one room, but cozy and big enough to contain a bed, a closet, a single table and chair and a fireplace with a large cauldron sitting on top, liquid bubbling indicating something was being cooked. Nick unconsciously walked towards the fireplace and cauldron and fell to his knees, as if finding the promised land. He basked in the heat radiating from the fireplace, now providing warmth not only to the cauldron but also to the cabin's visitor.

“...uhm, take a seat…if you need to rest. I was making some food.”

"Thanks, but I think I'll stick here for a few more minutes." Nick replied. "I'm Nick, by the way. Sorry for the sudden intrusion." He knew this person might not be as harmless as they appeared but right now, he was just thankful they at least let him feel warmth.

"You have no idea what happened to me before I got here." Nick began to recount his recent adventure, maybe garner a response that would reveal the stranger's identity. Though in all honesty, he just wanted to vent. "I had to, like, run away from a horde of zombies in this village. Then just when I was in the clear, these stupid mutts, also undead, came at me and I had to do some dangerous techniques to drive them away. It's all just crazy!"

"I swore to myself that if I ever get back home, I'm definitely spending a month in L.A."

The tired Nick trudged through the snow following the trail the unknown entity left. There were a few zombies spotted ahead but they ignored him, thanks to the charm, and he ignored them in turn. The cold had him shivering, and the torch alight in his hand provided little warming comfort. Once he gets back to Earth, Nick swore he would spend a year in Los Angeles where everything was nice and warm and no trace of snow whatsoever.

The trail ended with a welcoming, but also foreboding, sight. A log cabin, complete with a smoking chimney, sat on a large clearing in what was seemingly the middle of nowhere. Snow covered the sloped roof with a single window right below. The cabin's front yard was... tidy, all things considered. There was a path cleared of snow, some bushes with fruit and a tanning rack even. Last but not least, Nick spotted a red cloak just enter the abode.

"Hey, wait!" Nick got a burst of energy, following the figure up to the door. "Hello? Hello? Nice house you got here. Anyway, I'm not anyone dangerous. I just wanna talk." Despite his words, Nick got no reply. His gentle knocks unanswered.

He noticed the door was unlocked and he could just let himself inside, but Nick didn't want to be rude. "If you don't wanna talk then that's fine, but uhh... I hope you don't mind me just taking a break here. I really, really need it." He let the cabin occupant know. Nick figured that they would come out sooner or later, no need to force anything. Curious, he decided to look at those fruit bushes.

The jets of flame Nick spat out were more pitiful than he thought. He was no pro at this, he admitted, but that was just bad. The undead hounds didn't even caught fire, just singed from what Nick witnessed. He'd bet they didn't even feel it. Oh, he was so dead.

Or so he thought, the sudden bursts of fire from Nick seemed to have put the dogs on edge. They had stopped their attack, now wary of their seemingly-firebreathing prey. The belligerents kept their eyes on each other for a short while. Nick still held his torch and flask firmly, his mouth and lips burning from the slight backdraft, expecting the fight to resume any moment. But to Nick's surprise, it never did. The undead canines turned their heads towards the village and went off, deciding that Nick wasn't worth it.

As soon as they were out of his sight, Nick dropped to his knees. He quickly jabbed his torch standing in the frost and put away his oil flask and began scooping up snow from the ground and stuffing them into his mouth before spitting them out. He soon scooped smaller amounts and let them melt in his mouth before spitting out, trying his best to wash off the residue oil. He repeated this crude procedure several times until his mouth could no longer stand the cold and he was forced to stop. He would need to wash properly later.

Inspecting the ache on his ankle, Nick found that the hound's bite had torn through his denim pants but fortunately, the wound was not at all deep. Still, the pain stung and he had to sit on the snow to cool off, maybe literally, from the fight. Placing his face unto his hands, Nick suppressed sobs and stopped tears from forming. How long was he going to stay here? How long would he last? Will he even make it back home? Did he ever stand a chance? His heart was still beating fast from the encounter, exacerbating his despair. Oh, how Nick wanted to scream and how angry he was for knowing it would probably invite more danger.

Wiping his watery eyes from the self-pity, Nick forced himself to stand up. He still had a job to do, a job he didn't even know how to accomplish. Taking his torch, Nick saw the trail the hooded figure left that lead into another part of the forest. It was good a lead as any so Nick decided to follow.
