Time: 10:00 am
Location: Outside Sun Elf Kingdom → Jungle
Interactions: @baraquiel Jomari @Alivefalling Caelan @13org Nuallán @princess Sophie @chrysocoma Aurora

Rosaria’s cheeks reddened and she quickly ducked her head so Nuallán wouldn't notice. She grinned at him and playfully wrapped an arm around his shoulders. She turned her head up to stare at him. ”I could say the same thing about your chuckle.” She let go of him and turned to face Aurora. She beamed at her and nodded. ”Your kind words are appreciated and cherished. I thank you for joining us on this adventure. I wish for you to protect the humans with all your might.”

Rosaria turned to the troublemaker and remained friendly. She frowned as he spoke, but noticed he seemed nonchalant. This poor boy was only twenty-four years old and had suffered quite intensely. Her heart ached for him. She didn’t react when he announced his orientation. IT didn’t bother her and she accepted him for who he was. ”You certainly have gone through a lot for your age. I want you to know I am here for you. The Spanish bastards are unlikely to be here. I also accept your orientation and want you to know that it’s normal here.” She then eyed him as he examined the Odds and Ends store. As he picked up the poison, Rose glanced at Nuallán. Her eyebrows furrowed, and she quickly turned back to Jomari when he quizzed her on what the contents were. She remained calm, but her heart rate picked up slightly. What do you need that for…?

”Yes, that is poison and no, you cannot have it. We don’t need it. I can find poison on the road if needed.” Rosaria glanced at the storekeeper and nodded to her for her to hide it, to which the woman thankfully followed suit. ”This way, everyone.” She ushered them forward through the city for a few minutes until they reached its edge, and then brought them into the jungle. Then, she glanced backward to make sure everyone was joining and kept an eye on Jomari. She tapped Nuallán's wrist, a signal she had given to him to let her know she was becoming nervous when surrounded by others. ”That one needs an eye on him at all times.” Her voice was soft for only him to hear as her eyes narrowed into slits. ” The other two humans I can worry about much less, but this one needs more precautions.”

She turned to face the group now and beckoned them forward. She remained vigilant as they moved into the brush of the jungle with all sorts of animal noises surroundings them.

Saoirse

Time: 10am
Location: Jungle
Interactions:@Tae Raven @Kazemitsu Kharne @Th3King0fChaos Ismael @princess Annya

Saoirse listened as Annya cued them all to introduce themselves. The dark-haired male was named Ismael and the dragon was named Kharne. She, of course, already knew Raven’s name and story. She caught Raven’s glance after she spoke. Saoirse thought about asking her about it but decided not to do it right now. It wasn’t as if they were friends still, and were more like acquaintances. She wondered if they would ever return to their old friendship, but she doubted it. She was a criminal and the girl was a professional nerd. They had nothing in common other than then being here together, but then realized if she hadn’t jumped off the roof onto Raven, she wouldn't be here, and Raven wouldn’t have been dragged into this fantasy world. Saoirse sighed and rubbed her temples. Was it a good thing? She realized if the others had been with her, perhaps they could have lived and come here with her. But would they treat the world the same? It was unlikely.

When Annya spoke to Ismael and repeated his name, she snickered. So he was German; was he from their time frame? She shrugged it off. Who cared? Though, she supposed that getting to know who she was traveling with would be smart. Saoirse glanced over at the others finally and took in Ismael and Kharne’s appearances. She scrutinized them momentarily then looked forward again. She listened to the warrior princess speak and raised her eyebrows. They were going somewhere named Riverport. Cute. She rolled her eyes.

Then their kingdom might get attacked but they weren’t worried? Interesting - and they had a strong enough army to protect it. This was truly a fascinating world. However, once Annya returned her attention to Raven and began asking her about her life, she couldn’t help but snicker again. What was Chicago? She pressed a hand to their mouth. Then her attention was pulled to the fox. She didn’t know what the fuck it meant, but she was excited and had apparently one as a pet. Saoirse saw it and blinked with surprise. It was actually quite … adorable. She grimaced at the word adorable and wrinkled her nose. Oh God. If Declan had heard her say that… She sighed and pushed it out of her mind and continued walking.

Once Kharne began to talk, Saoirse turned to glance at him, realizing she was head of the group now, lost in thought. Tension ran through her head. Saoirse ran a hand through her messy red hair and took it out of the ponytail. She let it hang loosely around her face in messy waves and turned to face the group. She kept the hairband around her wrist.

”My name is… Shae.” She decided to go with the nickname she had gone with for a large part of her life. Her gaze moved over to Raven, who she hoped would understand and go along with the ruse. Once upon a time, she had asked Raven to call her the same thing. Saoirse, as much as she liked her name, was a big hint to who she was. She had no idea what other humans were here, and if she had screwed them over or not. Saoirse bit her lip. Had the portals taken in or appeared near the rest of her gang? She wasn’t sure if she wanted to know.

”I’m twenty two years old. I know how to use a gun and a bow to an extent, and I was trained in martial arts and parkour. I also know hand-to-hand combat but I’m no expert in it. I also am Irish, which is a nationality on Earth, so I have an accent.” She paused and shuffled her shoes and avoided everyone’s gaze and looked forward more. She did not elaborate on her job or history and glanced at Raven to warn her not to divulge it. To help prevent this, she changed the subject. ”When or how do we find out what our powers are? What are our options and is it random?” She leaned against a tree and gazed at the scenery around them.

This world was truly something. She wondered how long she could hide what she was and if it was revealed, what they would do to her if anything? It wasn’t as if she could return to earth and not get sent to jail. She shuddered at the thought of it and knew it was perhaps a miracle she was in this weird world. Saoirse bit her lip and glanced at Raven again with a side-eye warning her to keep her mouth shut.

Rue

Time: Morning
Location: Ironhold Tavern
Interaction: @Helo Bowyn & @Omni5876 Arn
Equipment: Small backpack, two knives, rations, water flask, hygiene products

Rue beamed when Arn decided to pay for her meal and drink. Though guilt rose inside, she did not decline. She normally would have argued it, but now wasn’t the time. She pushed it to the back of her mind and knew she would pay him back in return. Gestures of kindness such as that were not meant to be ignored. ”Oh goodness! Thank you!” She then fell silent and listened to Bowyn and Arn converse. Her eyes widened. Bowyn wanted to join the war against the dark elves? Rue bit her lip and decided she couldn’t blame him. Who else had ripped off his beautiful wings? Her stomach churned, but she kept it to herself. If Bowyn was joining the war, it was more incentive. She then looked up when Arn mentioned her and smiled back as shyly as he had.

As Arn finished speaking, Rue bit her lip. A Helius filled with other Avalians made her uncomfortable. She didn’t voice her disconcern. At least she was with Bowyn, and they both had transportation now to Riverport. Rue folded her hands together and rested her head on to pof them as she fought her inner turmoil.

Next, Bowyn began to speak, so Rue remained silent and observed. She didn’t have the faintest idea of how to meet royalty. While she had initially been excited, dread washed over her. Elves were arrogant, haughty, and also snobbish from what she’d heard. Her nerves roiled up, Rue began to pick at her nails idly. He was right though; and she wondered if the Elves would laugh when they saw the pair of winter fairies join them.

When Bowyn mentioned not bowing to the royals, Rue giggled. Arn apparently had an army here, which surprised Rue. Where were they and did they believe in the war? It was likely seeing their prince die would have stirred them up. Was it safe to be with them? Rue could only hope. Her mind raced as scenarios played out in her mind, whether they were outrageous or not. As Bowyn mentioned Moony, Rue returned to reality. She blinked and looked around, then remembered her wolf was outside. She nodded in agreement and felt as if she were in a daze. Her mind raced: meeting royalty, Arn’s dwarven army, a Helius filled with others, perhaps more than dwarves...

Then again, the idea of traveling in a Helius was exciting. However, would the rest of Avalia be as exciting or terrifying, or both? She couldn’t decide, and her mind was waging war on it. When Bowyn seemed to nearly stumble, Rue had stood up and moved her arms over if needed assistance, but Bowyn steadied himself by grabbing onto the table. She sighed with relief and stood up quickly, and then left the tavern. Once she was outside, Rue whistled and watched as a white blur entered her vision. She didn’t flinch when Moonlight joined her and peered up at her intently. She smiled and patted his head gently, but he did not relent.

I sense your anxiety. What happened? The wolf was determined to figure it out, but she couldn't tell him here. No, in private she would. She sighed and began to feel antsy to get out of the public. She had so much to tell Bowyn, and now, Moony.

”Oh, I’ll tell you later, sweet one. Did you find any other animals to make friends with?” Rue glanced at Moony with a smirk. Along their travels, Moony had befriended a deer and an owl. She quite missed them now that she thought of it, but she pushed it out of her mind.

Moony shook his head at her. No, I kept watch over the tavern and hidden from the dwarves. Rue nodded and didn’t reply as she glanced over to see if the others had joined her yet. She pulled her hood back up as well.

Rue

Time: Morning
Location: Ironhold Tavern
Interaction: @Helo Bowyn & @Omni5876 Arn
Equipment: Small backpack, two knives, rations, water flask, hygiene products

Rue beamed in the dwarf’s direction as he greeted her. She could feel his shyness and reciprocated it by averting her gaze. When he offered her his chair, Rue hesitated and then took it. She hadn’t meant for him to move. Still she kept quiet. ”Oh um, thank you! Yes, I do.” She paused and then listened as he continued speaking. Her eyes widened when he mentioned being a medic. How awesome. Maybe it would come in handy later if he could be trusted.

”It’s nice to meet you too. I'm Rue, a winter fairy. Also I’ve never met royalty before, wouldn’t it be exciting?” Her voice softened so only they could hear it. Her eyebrows raised in curiosity. How did Bowyn know the royalty or know how to meet them? Part of her felt gleeful to meet royalty, then it melted like snow in fire. She couldn’t help but feel a surge of what felt like... Envy? They had everything given to them by birth and never had fought for a scrap in their life. The other races had it much easier than they did, including those bubbly forest fae. She sighed and pushed it out of her mind.

Then, Bowyn began to speak and she turned her attention to him. She analyzed his expression and watched his smile fade into terror. Oh no, was there something on her face? Was he upset she had found him? Would they stop being friends? Rue’s mind ran a mile a minute, but slowed down once he spoke. She glanced at his fingers drumming and bit her lip. His tone, his words, and actions were so unlike him. Her heart sank. Bowyn must have been suffering a great deal on his own. How he had come here she didn’t know. Now he wouldn't be alone anymore. This she would promise to him.

Rue listened calmly as he spoke, and took her water and whatever food she’d been given. She quickly began to eat and listened intently. Then, realizing he may have been rough, his voice became softer and earnest. She smiled faintly and spoke as softly as he had. She could feel the awkwardness in the air and tried to hide it. She couldn’t imagine the pain all of these dwarves and Bowyn were feeling. What had happened to him? Now clearly wasn’t the time to ask so she put it in the back of her mind for later.

”I’m doing okay.” Her voice trailed off meekly, then she managed a smile to continue. ”I’m so glad to see you again, Bowyn. The village hasn’t been the same without you! Moony will be happy to see you too. He’s outside because you know, dwarves aren’t accustomed to wolves walking down the street.” Rue giggled at the memories and sipped her water. "What is he talking about?" She glanced at him now with raised eyebrows and continued to eat quietly. Later, when they were alone, Rue would tell him about her adventure. However now wasn't the time, not in a tavern, especially with people she didn't know or trust. She glanced at Bowyn, then set amas down for her meal.

Last Night

Rue sat on the bottom of the roof of an inn with her legs dangling off the edge. Moonlight, also known as Moony, sat beside her with his head on her lap. She pet his head and sighed. On the ground, dwarves moved around, some going to and from mining. Others were striking up conversations, but it was out of earshot for her. The business of the town was surprising to her. Then again, what had she expected? Rue didn’t know. The lands in Avalia outside of her village were so foreign to her. The sun had been on her nerves too in these different areas. Why wasn’t it colder? What was she doing? How had she come so far? Rue bit her lip and clenched her fists. She took an envelope out of her cape and turned it over in her hands. It read,

Thank you for your sacrifice. Head to Ironhold then to Riverport. Don’t make any detours.

She snorted as she read it. Her sacrifice….? Did they think she wouldn’t make it? Then again, was she going to survive? Her plan was to do her part then returning home to her village with enough money for her family to live comfortably. She shook her head at these dismal thoughts. It wouldn’t do her well to dwell upon them. Nonetheless, her mind started to race. Were her parents doing okay? She hated to leave them; at least the village was supporting them while she was gone.

Being in Ironhold wasn’t too bad however; it had proven to be useful. During her adventure, the woodland creatures had alerted her to Bowyn’s presence. She had been ecstatic to hear he was alive, but then devastated after she learned the extent of his injuries. For a fairy, to lose his or her wings was unthinkable. Her heart had ached deeply and Rue had spent a portion of her time reconciling with herself to be strong enough to continue, to let it fuel her against the war. Moony had guarded her as she gathered herself and spent the next few hours being silly to make her laugh again.

An unexpected display caused her to look up and the dwarves to halt below. Rue watched with horror as the Dark Elf Queen and King appeared with four Avalians kneeling before them. Tears filled her eyes as the hair of the back of her neck prickled. She knew what was happening and her stomach churned. Moonlight looked up at her, then the display, and began to growl. She patted his head as she turned away, but not quick enough. Blood splattered their faces as their necks were slit. Rue let out a shrill cry and covered her mouth. A few of the dwarves looked up at her and then down. Equal horror was shown on their faces. Their prince was gone. She couldn’t imagine the trauma they were experiencing. A chill ran down her spine, not from ice unfortunately. She knew it was dangerous to be out now, especially as a female winter fairy so far from home. She pulled her hood up and wiped her eyes again.

Rue, she looked down to find Moonlight standing now and nudged her to stand up. We must get inside. Rue sniffled and wiped her eyes on her cape. She nodded and allowed the wolf to lead her back down to the Inn’s entrance. As she passed dwarves, she offered them words of encouragement or a small smile. The majority of them didn’t return it, which didn’t surprise her. Once she was back in her room, she laid down on her bed and sniffled. Moony, who ordinarily stood guard near her door, climbed onto the bed beside her. She smiled faintly and hugged her wolf. Though she didn’t rest much, she knew Moonlight wouldn’t either. Rue pulled the blanket over herself. At least she had Moony.

The Next Morning

The next morning came quickly. The sunlight poured through the window despite the curtains being drawn. With a groan, Rue opened her eyes. She felt a coolness where Moony had been laying and shot up with worry. She scowled at the rush of blood to her head. Dizziness swept over her. Though the room was titled, she recognized Moony laying near the doorway. His ears were pricked in a way that told her he was listening to something. She sighed and decided if he hadn’t said anything, then it was likely safe to exit.

The town was likely on edge from last night and she prayed there weren't any Dark Elves here. A winter fairy in Ironhold would be a strange sight indeed. She pulled her hair back into a short ponytail and her hood up. She gripped her small backpack with a shaky hand and gestured for Moony to follow her. Rue exited the Inn and made her way down the street. She scanned the buildings until she found a tavern. She glanced at Moonlight for confirmation.

Yes, this is the tavern. I smell his scent and nothing but alcohol. This is not your usual place to be; brace yourself. I will wait outside nearby and will come if you whistle. I don't want to startle the dwarves more than I already have. Moonlight then nodded to her and scampered off into the shadows nearby.

Rue nodded and patted his head before he left. It was now or never. She pushed open the tavern door and moved inside quietly. Glancing around, Rue searched for Bowyn. Without his wings it was difficult to spot, but his silver hair stood out to her. For a moment, Rue paused, relief sweeping over her like an ocean wave. He was alive, and maybe not well, but at least he hadn’t died. But how would she say she found him? Her nerves made her stall momentarily, but then realized standing there was awkward. With a sigh, she strode over and joined them.

”Fancy meeting you here.” She pulled her hood off and addressed Bowyn. Her gaze scanned over the dwarf next. ”Hi,” Her voice became quieter as she avoided his gaze and swallowed. She glanced at the bartender. ”Can I have some water and whatever is on your breakfast menu, please?” The bartender raised his eyebrows, then nodded and sauntered off to fill her order. Her gaze snapped back to Bowyn and the dwarf as she awaited their responses. From the corner of her eye, she briefly saw a patch of white fur and couldn’t help but smile.

Rosaria

Time: 10:00 am
Location: Outside Sun Elf Kingdom
Interactions: @baraquiel Jomari @Alivefalling Caelan @13org Nuallán @princess Sophie @chrysocoma Aurora

Rosaria smiled to herself. Nuallán was incredibly sweet with his worry for her, but she knew her boundaries and would be fine. However, the continuous actions of the human would not be tolerated again. To truly lay it down, one’s sweet nature had to dissipate into ice. She gave him a warm smile and quickly assured him all would be fine. Afterwards, Nuallán introduced himself and offered his additional instruction, which she appreciated. Next, the geokinetic human began to speak to her delight.

Caelan introduced himself to the group and explained he was 26. So young! She was elated to hear he had some practice with a sword. He was already ahead of the game and could perhaps aid the other two. From the manner of the rambunctious one, she could assume he too came from a background of combat. With the way he had wielded a knife and expected enemies to be surrounding him, she had confidence that his bad behavior could translate quite well.

However, Sohpie was a tiny one. Rosaria was afraid she might be the least suited for this. The girl‘s mind seemed to be scattered as she took in things around her. It seemed as if she had missed the introductions; or had cowered from it. Rosaria sighed but let it go for now. It was best she let the young girl relax and take things in. After all, this was overwhelming.

Once they approached the stall, Nuallán again asked her not to worry and she looked at him.
”I know, Nuallán. I trust you to do so. You and I are a great team together. I am so lucky to have you to care for me. I can only relent so much with these gems in my care.”

Rosaria observed as Sophie and Caelan both approached the table. Sophie seemed to enjoy one of the dresses but didn’t ask to buy it. Instead, the kind girl took the time to check up on the dark-skinned boy. Rose appreciated that she wasn’t the only one giving him a chance. She smirked to herself as she heard Caelan asking Nuallán to buy her the dress. Did Caelan have a little crush? She couldn’t help but giggle a little out loud as she turned to face the two men. ”We will certainly buy it for her.”

She glanced toward the table and scanned it quickly, allowing herself to briefly lose focus on the others. As she finished buying what she wanted, a female voice reached her ears. She glanced over to see Aurora, their spiritual advisor, bounding up to them. Another strong elf to help protect them and the humans was not going to hurt. A delighted smile crossed her face as her expression melted like a kid on Tirrus. ”Of course Aurora. I thank you for accompanying me.” She smiled and made sure no one else had overheard her and sighed in relief. When the dress was bought, she handed it to Caelan and winked. ”Here you go, handsome.”

Rosaria turned to Nuallán and tilted her head to one side. ”Do you fancy anything?” She then glanced at the other humans. ”If you’re all ready, we can continue now. Aurora, if you like anything, please let me know.” Then, Rosaria relaxed, although she kept a vigilant eye out for any oncoming danger.

Tigerlily

Time: 10:00am

Location: Port Vanarosa > Barboda's Ship

Tigerlily stared with raised eyebrows at Éliane. What happened now? She turned to glance at the red haired lady and remained stoic. What was she? Her appearance betrayed much but not enough; there weren’t animalistic traits, no elf ears, and she definitely didn’t have wings. She blinked and turned back to the elf. For now she wouldn’t waste her energy on it, but would keep an eye on the gal. She smiled as she listened and wrapped an arm around her shoulders comfortingly. Her innocence and naivety was refreshing; yet, it allowed people, such as this ginger, to prey upon her. She allowed her friend to continue speaking without interruption. Once finished, she began to reply,

”Éliane, it’s great to see you! I’ll save stories for later. But first tell me, what are you doing on this godforsaken island? You are far too good for this shallow den, love.” She patted her head and turned to the next speaker. She grimaced at the sun but didn’t let her expression fall otherwise. She didn’t have time to ponder; Éliane was now introducing her to the female ginger. Tigerlily smiled sweetly and gave her a kind nod.

Lizzie Murphy. Pushing it to the back of her head, she turned to Nym. His words caused laughter to bubble out of her. The war. She rolled her eyes at the comment. ”The war? Don’t get me started, Nym.” She grinned and then nodded in agreement at the end of his sentence. A cheeky grin split across her face as she added, ”The dark elves can kiss my tail.”

Her mind was racing as she noticed Helio. He had to stare at her as if he had seen a ghost. She wondered what had been going through his mind. Tigerlily watched breathlessly for a moment while her mind slipped away. No, stay present… She gritted her teeth and retained her normal attitude. She laughed loudly and smiled at him. ”What a fine gentleman. I’ll keep that in mind, Mr. Magnificent Helio.” She then curtsied to him and turned her attention to the rest of the group.

As the other woman introduced herself, Tigerlily smirked. She recognized the woman’s tongue and was appreciative of her craft. However, food and rum was not something she could turn down. She sighed; did this woman not have any amas? Was she….? “I suppose I can join you. Also, did you get all your belongings robbed?” She scrutinized her expression and smiled kindly at her. ”What a pity if so.” Her voice was calm and sympathetic.

The man that had been introduced as Barboda began speaking.. Her gaze shifted to him and eyed his helmet. What was the tin man hiding? Was he a Dark Elf? She narrowed her gaze but didn’t let the smile drop. Another individual to keep an eye on. Her head began to ache for everything. However, he possessed a ship - a beautiful one - and she couldn't pass it up. If only her parents knew what she was doing…. She snickered and paused to assess the group, specifically Helio.

Helio had obnoxiously commented on Barboda, causing her to snicker. She knew she wasn’t the only one suspicious. His attitude and jokes were familiar. She had to stop herself from thinking too forward though. An aching in her chest caused her to go silent until she was able to draw several deep breaths again. All the flair and attitude was a masquerade and she saw right through it. He was quick to make his purchase and saw out of the corner of her eye as he turned around with an accordion. He hadn’t changed after all.

Tigerlily approached the Odds and Ends and began to take a look for herself. She picked out an outfitfor herself. She smiled in delight at the outfit. It would be far easier to switch to her mermaid form. With a grin, she reached out and took the parrot, which swiftly climbed onto her shoulder. Tigerlily grinned at it and tilted her head.

”What shall I name you?” She inquired, and the parrot chirped and nipped at her ear. ”A wise choice. I’ll think about it.”

She snickered and turned back to face the rest of the crew, specifically Lizzie. ”Lass, I bought you an outfit. You must blend in.” She winked at her as she handed the clothes, her voice low enough for only them to hear. Next, Tigerlily bought more stuff for the boat and knew extras wouldn’t hurt.

She then moved next to Helio, and her voice was friendly and sweet. ”Magnificent Helio, allow me to teach you how to play that.” She gently put her hand over his and smiled. ”What say you, once we get settled on this fine vessel?” She winked and moved ahead to board the ship.

Rosaria had glanced at Nuallán once he had spoken to her; then her gaze shifted towards the humans. The quiet girl revealed herself to be Sophie, and she was chatting with Caelan. The aura the give provided was peaceful. She knew he was right and she’d be much easier company than the other two boys. It would be a difficult mix, but at least Caelan seemed to be playing nice. Her gaze returned to Nuallán as he cautioned her about the dark-haired boy.

”Nuallán, with due respect my dear, I think he needs my kindness more than any of them. Give him a chance. We must keep in mind that humans live much shorter lives than us and he is considered young. With some much needed care and understanding, I see the potential of a passionate and good man. I can handle him; no need to worry.” She patted his arm gently and gave him a firm nod and confident smile.

Annya had run over and thrown her arms around her in a hug, surprising her. Rosaria hugged her back, ”Be safe.” She whispered to her before they had gone their separate ways. Soon, she was outside the castle with Nuallán, Sophie, Caelan, and Jomari.

Rosaria put an arm out to Sophie and Caelan to halt them. Next, she turned on her heels to swiftly address Jomari with a friendly, yet serious expression. ”The enemy is in a far land, and we are not ready yet to face them. I will train, guide, and protect you all until that time has come and we are confident in your abilities. It is going to take some time for that to come to fruit. Please be patient and focus right now on calming your anger. We need to get off to a good start and I’d appreciate your cooperation. Why don’t we start off by telling us about ourselves?”

She paused as she let the question hang and then continued as if nothing had missed a beat. ”I’m Princess Rosaria, and I’m 1,022 years old. I am the next heir to the Sun Elf Kingdom. I have light magic and I am quite proficient with it as well.“ She added next, ”Humans here have magic unlike our kind. Fairies have the ability to either have cryokinesis or chlorokinesis. Some can talk to animals, which is called zoolinguilism. I’ve met fairies who have befriended the many creatures we have here. That’s one example. So, as I was saying, humans have elemental magic. There’s been pyrokinesis, hydrokinesis, lightning, aerokinesis, and geokinesis. Our Knight here, Caelan,” She gave him a soft smile as she played a joke on his name, ”Is a geokinetic. I’m curious to see what you two have.” She nodded to Jomari and Sophie. ”But we don’t need to worry about it yet until we’re at our next safe point. For now, please stay close to me.”

As she talked, she resumed moving and waved her hand to urge them to as well. Escorting the group into town, she led them through the beautiful and whimsical elf architecture. The street was a bit sparse when it came to civilians. Rosaria knew many of them were mourning the death of the general and being cautious of being outside. It was also Sollar Day, so it was possible many were swimming. She led them over to a stall that had a sign that read “Odds and Ends.”

”Take a look and see if you need anything. I might not be able to buy you things that are too expensive, but feel free to indulge on something small. If you have questions, let me know. I’m happy to help and be here for you.” She fell silent as to allow them to take it in and scanned the crowd. Her hand never left near her bow as she walked and she wasn’t going to let it drop anytime soon. Rosaria’s gaze was intense, like a prey animal watching for its predators, but kept a relaxed demeanor for the humans.

@13org Nuallán @princess Sophie and Annya @Potter Saoirse

Saoirse had stood back and observed the chaos before her once she, too, had changed her clothing. It was quite amusing to watch the guy stab a chicken and then get chewed out by Princess Annya. During his rant, she hadn’t noticed she had taken another step next to Raven and put a hand on her pocket, where a pocket knife was concealed. However, she made no move to involve herself. She met Raven’s gaze and gave her a slight smile, but she was uneasy. She was out of her element and clearly around unstable people. The black-haired man soon handed her a bag and ring. She held it up and examined it for a moment, hesitant. Self preservation Saoirse, will get you farther than anything else… With a sigh, she put it on. Her elf ears immediately looked realistic. She stared at her reflection against the reflective floors and blinked thrice with wide-eyes. This was...

It turned out that she and Raven would be with the dark-haired fellow and the big dragon. Great, as if this world wasn’t already weird enough, I have a talking-walking dragonborn-thing. This is some advanced fantasy shit. She thought dryly and had followed Annya into the hall. Once they were outside, Saoirse looked around at her surroundings. It looked like something out of a movie. She glanced Raven’s way as she quoted some nerd shit as she always did and laughed. To cover it up, she rolled her eyes and remained silent afterwards. Saoirse knew, however, in the back of her mind, this was real. If this was her escape from jail, she would gladly take it; but her crew… She gritted her teeth and let out a long sigh. There wasn't anything she could do; and besides, would they freak out like the man had? She groaned despite her circumstances and became stoic.

Me, Saoirse, a hero, huh… She suppressed the urge to snicker again.

Tigerlily

Tigerlily listened to the ocean in the background and let out a sigh. The sea salt air in her nostrils and the cool breeze it provided was pure bliss. Being on land and swimming when she wanted too and there was nothing better. She adjusted her hat, which she kept admiring, and began to head towards The Seagull. Her stomach rumbled and she found herself becoming irrationally irritated with the sun and the seagulls crying out hysterically. Those damn birds did nothing but beg and cry for food. Unexpectedly, a voice brought her out of her reverie.

”Well isn’t that a beautiful lass?” Tigerlily jumped and looked up to find a tall, dark haired elf staring down at her with a nasty grin. He wore whatever god awful outfit he’d either bought on his own with poor life choices, or was too drunk to care. He smelled like a rotten fish washed up on the beach and left to sunbathe over the weekend. It took all her self control not to cringe or wrinkle her nose. However, he did have potential; with bright blue eyes and what should’ve been a handsome smile, but was distorted by missing teeth.

Unamused, Tigerlily considered being snappy; but then realized by his breath he was inebriated. A grin formed on her face instead as she faced him. ”And a handsome gentleman, is it not?” She smiled as she took a step back, which he frowned at briefly and moved closer. Perfect. ”A big strong man like you shouldn’t be out here alone now should he?” She traced her fingers up his arms and grinned. He went red and he opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. His mouth hanging open reminded her of the fish she’d catch with those silly fishing poles the other races used. Sadly, this man was dumber than the orcs she’d encountered.

”You should definitely stay with a beautiful lass like me…” As she leaned closer, she examined the back of him. There was a hilt with some poor excuse of a sword and a small bag hanging from his belt pocket. Was it amas, or something else? Either way, it’d be her or someone else’s. She grinned as he stumbled and she caught him, letting her hands fall to his sides. ”Careful, dear. It’s only 9am. Maybe the sun’s too bright for you - follow me.” Without waiting to see if he’d come, she began making her way towards the alleyway. There would be less people to see. Like a puppy, the elf followed her, mumbling something incoherent. She ignored it and pretended not to notice. Tigerlily hurried ahead and pulled him along with a giggle. She pulled her hat off to hide their faces as he approached her. She grinned, then moved closer and began kissing him. He smelled like rotten eggs and rum mixed together and it was enough to make her gag. Luckily, she’d had enough experiences with these encounters and knew how to play along while silently suffering.

Tigerlily opened her eyes and found him enthralled with the situation. Now was her time. She moved away and caused him to move closer. She smiled as she set a hand on her dagger and pulled him closer. His body against hers was close enough. Tigerlily slowly reached for the bag of amas around his belt and unlatched it. Quickly, she stuffed it in her boot. He was too focused and interested to notice. She giggled and pulled away at the last second. She took her hat and set it over her head. He frowned as his eyes opened.

”What’s the matter?” He slurred as he stumbled forward and lost his balance. Tigerlily steadied him quickly and set him against the wall. He quickly slid down against it, bewildered.

”Your sea lass has much to do, my fine gentleman. You will forget this ever happened.” She smiled as her eyes narrowed and she compelled him into forgetting her. His expression became blank as he stared forward, lost and even more bewildered now. ”By the way, you’re a little awful at kissing and flirting. Try again some day.”

With a grin, Tigerlily moved away and down the next alleyway when a foul smell reached her nose. She allowed herself to gag and spit now, overwhelmed. She groaned and knew she now needed a bottle of rum to wash out the awful taste. Elves truly were one of the most loathsome creatures this world had to offer; or at least, most of them. She groaned as she began to compose herself again and glanced around.

That awful stench; where was it coming from? She began to follow it and drew her sword carefully. It reeked of death; an unfortunate scent she was familiar with. With a sigh, she peeked around the corner and found two dead elves. She noticed a sword on one of them and grinned. Today was her lucky day now wasn’t it? She made sure nobody else was approaching and crept forward carefully. She kicked them both with her shoe but neither of them moved. Shrugging, she knelt down and began to pickpocket whatever she could find. She slowly took off the holster and the sword and wrapped it over her shoulder. One could never have enough swords on this dangerous island. She noticed their attire but stood up.

Next, she moved out of the alleyway and into the shadows as she rounded the corner to continue her adventure to The Seagull. She was halfway there with a smirk on her face when she noticed a group of Avalians ahead of her. She paused and began to observe. There was a man in armor with his face covered; something she wasn’t too fond of, but needed to investigate. Next, there was a tall, familiar elven woman whom she noticed was Éliane. Beside her was an unfamiliar red woman; then a shark-demihuman she knew to be Nym and then…

”Helio.” She whispered, barely audibly and sucked in a deep breath. Her heart skipped a beat. Lost in thought, Tigerlily stood there a moment longer and then sighed heavily. It was now or never. Palms sweaty and her heart racing, she took a moment to compose herself.

With a glance over her shoulder, Tigerlily held her head up and allowed her amused smirk to cross back over her face. With the sword over her shoulder and the amas in her back pocket, she reminded herself of her luck this morning. Maybe… Maybe this was it continuing…

A chance to do the right thing this time…

A grin formed over her face as she approached the group. ”Well isn’t this a lovely group, Nym?” She came over and wrapped her arms around his shoulder and Éliane. ”My dear Éliane - what have we got here?” She studied each of their faces with interest, and then allowed her gaze to settle on Helio. ”A fairy on this island? And a handsome one too.” She teased as she let go of the two and folded her arms with a smirk. She tugged her blue braid onto her shoulder as strands of it blew in the wind and briefly irritated her.

”Tell me, Nym, what are we up to now?” She then turned to face him, while keeping a side eye on the others. She was smirking on the outside, but her mind and heart were racing on the inside. ”Please tell me there’s rum and food on the menu soon as well?” She gave him a knowing, yet pleading, smirk.

Rosaria was grateful for Ismael’s response and offered him a sweet smile. After that, she watched the exchange between her sister and Caelan Knight, sighing. She would have advised Annya to pick her battles if there had been time to while understanding where both parties were coming from. Her attention zoned in on the cracking floor beneath Caelan’s feet. So it’s true. A smile curved over her lips and then disappeared as she became stoic while her words were like honey.

"I am sorry she upset you, but please be mindful of others and try keep your tempers in check. Your power briefly emerged, Caelan. You have magic called geokinesis, as my sister stated. This means that you can control soil, dirt, rock, and more. However it will take time to master and your emotions will fuel its use, so mind them." She laid rings out on the table for each human and also the Avalians.

While she spoke, Annya had begun to hand out the ears and arrange things for them. Soon her sister returned to her side and asked her which humans she wanted. Rosaria was quiet and surveyed the room. Finally decided she’d take on the more difficult three as it was best. She was more patient and understanding than Annya could be at times. Though Annya had a good heart, she was an intense person. They needed the softer approach.

Nuallán arrived with the clothes and she beamed at him, “Thank you so much, Nuallán-” She broke off when she noticed his disposition and looked over. His words toward the humans were helpful, but she wasn’t so sure the dark-skinned one with the dagger was going to take them seriously despite his intimidating gaze.

As she predicted, the man had something to say about that and had even directed a rude retort toward poor Nuallán. She narrowed her eyes and took a few deep breaths. He continued to rant on, throwing jabs toward the humans and talking about how he felt as if they were going to force him onto the front lines. Rosaria understood his fear and misconceptions, but the rudeness towards the humans and Nualán was getting under her skin. She listened as Jomari addressed her directly without interrupting. Anger welled up inside, but before Rosaria could do anything, Annya went on a rampage.

Although Rosaria agreed with many of Annya’s points, she felt the most strategic approach would be to try to understand and reason, instead of reprimanding him. Once Annya had huffed and fallen back. Now it was time for damage control.

Rosaria took a step toward him, gently speaking to him, "You must have come from a hard and dangerous life. I can tell from what information you gave us thus far that it’s been hard to trust others and many have not been kind to you. You’ve probably had to do a lot to maintain your own wellbeing; I'm sure this wasn't easy for you and you're acting defensively as a way to protect yourself. You don't have to let your guard down yet, but please consider what has been said, and treat us with the respect we are treating you. Please simmer down and come along with the other humans and I, and I will do my best to keep you safe and healthy, and find you a way back home. I promise you this. However in Avalia, you don't have to worry about those 'Spanish Bastards’ as there aren’t any. Furthermore, we will not be torturing you nor killing you-"

“Princess Rosaria!” She turned as a light elf guard came to her side and whispered in her ear that dark elf forces were in Aldrakh currently and were on the move. The color drained from her face and her eyes widened. She quickly became stoic once more so as not to scare the humans, who were likely to be terrified. She tapped on Jomari’s hand insistently, then ushered Sophie and Caelan with her.

“We must go. Annya, keep in communication with me often - you have your transmission band.” Rosaria then pointed at Jomari, Sophie and Caelan with a smile. “You three. Please follow me. Come along as well, Nuallán. We must go. Guards dispose of these human items and hide them so as not to allow our enemies to find them, please. Guards, please station yourselves around the perimeter and also on the rooftops. I want extra guards on my parents as well. Humans, I laid out rings for you - put them on. They will help disguise what you look like and we need you to please put your Elf ears or demi human disguises on. This is crucial.”

Rosaria moved to pick up three bags that Annya had called for and then gave one to each of them. Next, she gave them time to change and waited patiently for them. Once they had changed, she led the three humans and Nuallán through the golden castle hallways. She remained alert and a hand near her bow in case. She also glanced at Nuallán with a smile as well as if to say, I’m so glad you’re with me.

Once they emerged from the castle, the view they saw was spectacular.
