Do the gods here consider 'dying of old age' to be 'when you're supposed to die on Earth'? Or is there some weirdo destiny thing going on where they've brought you to this new world specifically so you can die of the 'scripted' event that you were supposed to die of?
e.g Say there's a 30 year old who should have been killed in a shooting when he was 31 years old, but instead died to a truck six months before his fated death time. Transported over to Vecta, he's now allowed to live for six more months before, idk, Morganna sends some archers over to shoot him dead.

It's not an exact equivalent, but the concept is the same. The body already existed and was 8 years old when his soul got placed into it. Stands to reason that Morgana and Drasil could prepare vessels in the same way.
They can carry over the souls, but the bodies are dead/dying so they get left behind. And they get new bodies based on their desires.
Also, I wanted to re-clarify. You aren’t necessarily getting re-born into a new life. The idea is that because you died before you were supposed to on Earth, you’re getting to live out the rest of your life in Vecta. That’s why I said all the deaths had to be random.
