Senior lieutenant Kilian
| {Full Name} |Rae Kilian
| {Age} |23
| {Species} |Human
| {Gender} |Female
| {Force Sensitive/Alignment} |No
| {Appearance} |Rae is a 5'5 caucasian woman. She is incredibly pale, because she spends very little time on planet, spending most of her time in space and in uniform. With her helmet off the main distinction she has over other people is her bright red hair.
| {Equipment and Personal Belongings} |- Flight Suit: Rae like all Imperial Pilots is assigned a flight suit. The suit has inbuilt life support meaning if she ends up EVA she doesn't risk death.
- EC-17 Holdout Blaster: Single blaster pistol, just incase.
- TIE/interceptor: A Tie Interceptor painted with the yellow stripe off the 287th Fighter Wing.
| {Physical Abilities} |- Physicality: She's no master athlete but he is physically in good shape. She has to be in order to pilot in the way he does, event inertia dampeners only have so much effect in a dogfight.
- Fighter Ace: She joined the Fighter Corp at as young an age as possible. In order to live up to her family name, and prove that her family name isn't the only reason she gained the position. She has pushed herself to becoming one of the best.
- Survivalist Training: Like all fighter pilots within the Imperial Navy Rae is trained to be able to survive shot down behind enemy lines, and live long enough to be rescued and recovered.
- Mechanic: As above. All Imperial Pilots are required to have at least a basic understanding of their craft and how to operate/repair them. It's not something she's naturally gifted at, but its something she's spent time to get good at.
- Tactician: A combination of training and a willing mind allows her to react quickly to evolving situations and maxise her efforts to try and guarantee success.
| {Limitations} |- Surname: Raes grandfather served in the Clone Wars as an Admiral for the Republic Navy. Her father served, and still currently serves in the military as an Intelligence Officer. Both Admiral Kilian (ret) and Colonel Kilian are respected and known names within the Empire. While Rae received no special favor, good luck convincing some of her peers of that.
- Origin: Not an issue with some, but his family origins in Corellia cause some hardliners within the Empire to have issues. It is largely just political wrangling.
- Target Blindness: Like many pilots, once she has locked in on an idea/target then that is all she can concentrate on. A pilots greatest folly.
- Callous/Gruff: She's a great pilot, and even has skill as a flight lieutenant, however she's closed off and cold to everyone around her. Walls she's had to put up in order to protect herself.
| {Personality} |Rae has your typical pilot Type-A personality. She has remarkable self-control and is disciplined in her actions. Every step she takes is designed to help her toward her goals. The issue being here is that she is also naturally very competitive, almost to a fault. She hones in on her target and can't let it go, fighting to get a solution even in no-win situations.
With her family being in the positions they are she's also had to learn to be hardened to the outside world. She feels a desire and a need to prove herself in her service, she needs to distinguish herself. She is her own woman, she isn't in the Fighter Corps because of her Father or Grandfather. She is there on her own merit.
| {Place of Origin} |Yaga Minor
| {Background} |Rae was born on the shipyards of Yaga Minor before the fall of the Galactic Republic. She doesn't remember much of her formative years. She remembers that there was chaos and change. Her Grandfather was tasked with the defense of Yaga Minor as the Separatists Continued their advances in the Galactic North. When Admiral Jira Renkar took Ord Mantell and formed the Imperium, Admiral Kilian and the people of Yaga Minor swore their fealty to the fledgling empire. Rae doesn't remember much about these times, being the fact she was a toddler.
As she grew older her father and grandfather weren't around much. Her Grandfather, Shoan Kilian, helped keep the shipyards running and spent many days on Ord Mantell helping secure and create the Imperial Navy. Her Father meanwhile was often off on assignment in what would become the Imperial Security Bureau.
School was a changing time, as curriculums changed. Even in its fledgling state the Empire created a strong sense of duty. The peaces signed by the other nations were seen as a betrayal to all that had been lost during the days of the Galactic Republic. Duty and the ability to serve were the highest honors someone could achieve. This was drilled into Rae from a young age not just at school, but at home. Her Grandfather told her tales of the Clone Wars, tales that were far bloodier than anything her father as an intelligence officer could tell her.
She was twelve when the Battle of Ilum against the Great Enemy. She was never told by her Father or Grandfather who or what the great enemy was, but she saw her duty and her place. Already having a need for speed, and a keen eye as soon as she could enlist in the Imperial Starfighter Corps. She did. She excelled at every avenue and hurdle that she came across. Tested to see if she was Force Sensitive, she rose quickly in the ranks.
Some questioned it, feeling her last name was the reason she managed to advance in the way she did. Clearing the Flight Academy on Ord Cantell as an Ensign she was assigned to the Carrier Allegiant and deployed on the frontier against the Confederacy. In her first engagement, she managed to take out two vultures before attacking a third that was making a run on the carrier. Her attack succeeded however she ended up EVA. Gaining a cross for her achievement she was granted the rank of Lieutenant.
Continuing in their war against the CIS, she quite often turned down leave. Feeling the need to prove her worth. The exception to this was when her Grandfather died. It momentarily shattered her resolve. While she loved her father, he had been absent for much of her teenage years. Meanwhile, her Grandfather having been re-assigned to an administrative post had been a big part of her journey into service. Returning to service she had a new sense of conviction to see the Separatists routed. Gaining an unprecedented second promotion within her early years of service to Senior Lieutenant she was re-assigned to the the Endurance, a Gladiator class Star Destroyer, and assigned a yellow-striped TIE/Interceptor.
She isn't sure where she's headed yet, she hasn't been told. Rae just knows whatever is happening now is big, and no doubt she'll make her grandfather proud.
