Another underrated game, not brought up much when talking about SNES RPGs:

The Lufia Series.

And I'm not just talking about the randomly generated dungeon if Lufia 2. I mean the whole thing. Both games entirely. They're both solid turn based JRPGs, taking the best of Dragon Quest and the best of Zelda and making something awesome. The story's cookie-cutter fantasy JRPG but it's still charming enough.

Also, Mermaid Swamp. One of the better RPG Horror games (as it doesn't rely solely on jumpscares and chases but has a chilling story too) but it never got a Markiplier Let's Play so nobody ever talks about it. It was made by the same person who made Crooked Man and Paranoiac. (Nobody talks about Paranoiac either but that's 50% dull and 50% a Clock Tower ripoff)

I will make a cs when get home. Thinking of making either a Unicorn or a Centaur

“Tip of the iceberg huh” Joann thought to herself slumping back into her chair, putting her fingers under her chin and looking off to the side, though she didn’t care about the idea of being a battery for light she wasn’t completely opposed to it, in fact the only reason it wasn’t written down in the first place was because she didn’t think of it. If it was possible for her to unload energy in a constant stream to supply power from a generator could it be possible to release it in higher quantities of constant streams or long ranged bursts. The rest of lecture in class became a source of indiscernible gurgling as these thoughts swam around in JoJo’s head the thought of that form she took on in the gym kept picking with her the more the day went on, she concluded that was what would happen if she absorbed enough electrical energy.

“Is there something beyond that?” she thought making a grumbling noise, looking up seeing the other students taking notes or actually listening while Joann was doodling in a notebook jotting down ideas of what more she could accomplish. Sooner or later the announcement came on dismissing class and suggesting that the students pack up their things and head to their dorm rooms before engaging in other activities. “Oh Bother” Joann said aloud after being forced back into reality by the announcement, though it was a good idea. Scratching the back of her head, she stood up from her chair and began to make her way to the dorms, even though she didn’t have many things to go in the room itself other than a few cloths and a real grade model kit she hadn’t started yet.

Walking along the path to get to the dorms themselves JoJo felt a familiar shot through her body indicating her quirk was done taking a nap. “Well, now, it’s about time” JoJo said, looking down at her hand curling her fingers up into a fist, she never thought she’d miss her troublesome quirk till now, the very thought of having it back inspired her to walk faster towards the lobby eventually pushing the doors open.

Mina was the first to arrive at the dorms. She’d been chided for not giving a more detailed answer to that boring stock question,. She knew she needed to try her best regardless of how easy or mundane she found things, but...she didn’t know. She just needed a bit of time to actually relax or think. A lot had happened today, and Mina was finally glad for some alone time. She allowed herself a smile as she walked through the chandeliered lobby. It reminded her a little of her own lobby, and she found herself getting pangs of homesickness, which she quickly brushed away. This was the path to becoming a Hero. She had wanted to leave home for years to be able to come here. And now, after one day, she couldn’t possibly be missing it!

When Jojo entered too, Mina turned round to see who had entered, and recognised her as one of the other students in Quirk App. If she remembered correctly, they were also to share a room. ”Jo, right? I think we’re roommates. What did you think of that class?” Mina asked, while still walking up the staircase towards the rooms, albeit slowly.

JoJo had been already through the door and on her way to the stairs when a girl she hadn’t met yet, just sort of appeared in front of her and began to inquire about the class she was coming from, indicating she herself was in that very same class. Unlike JoJo herself this girl knew her name and worse yet paid attention to the lecture, her walking pace slowed down and matched hers.

“Not going to lie to you, White Hat said something about my quirk that caught my attention and after that I spent the entire class theory crafting” she said, taking the first few steps on the staircase “What about you?” she asked out of courtesy.

Mina shrugged in response, and looked back towards the stairs as she advanced a few more steps, before looking back at JoJo ”I did those kinds of exercises all the time with my mom. I came here to learn new and inventive ways to use my quirks, not think up even more entirely by myself. I hope he doesn’t do this every week. What need would I have for this class if I just get asked to come up with applications by myself ever lesson? How many different ways can you even use the ability to glow?”

JoJo let out a small giggle before stifling it clearing her through “No clue, I grew up with a single quirkless father on a mountain, so when I got my quirk I found the easiest thing it could be used for and ran with it” she explained continuing to walk up the stairs “Who knows, he might make us do some type of quirk flexibility exercise, if it's as boring as the second half of his lecture I can feel my attendance dropping already” Joann said simply not making a single attempt to color her words differently “I shorted myself out earlier breaking the gym and all so I could use some type of lessons on utilization, for another time I guess; say isn’t that our room?” JoJo asked pointing down the hallway.

Mina nodded, reaching the door and opening it first. Her luggage was already here, having been sent up, and there was a lot of it. Three suitcases full, and said suitcases looked really expensive! Mina ignored them for now, however, and kicked her shoes off before laying down on her bed. ”Wow, I’m more tired than I realised. Then again, I haven’t really rested properly all day, and a lot has happened. You weren’t there for the morning’s exercise, were you? That was especially tiring.”

So, this was how the other half lived, the suitcases were indeed very high class even gold trimmed around the edges. JoJo didn’t have many things outside of the bare minimum needed all of which was stuffed into two medium sized duffle bags both looked fairly torn and worn out from years of use. “Yeah, I woke up and went straight to class” Joann explained dumping her clothes all over her bed and beginning to sort, fold and place them in their respective place in the dresser or closet. Her clothes seemed just a ragged and torn as the packaging they were in, it was painfully obvious the schoolgirl uniform she wore with her initial emblazoned across the sash was probably the newest thing she owned thus far. The second bag of luggage was more objects rather than clothing, that model kit she hadn’t built and a pair of dark tinted purple aviator shades which drew a smile from her usually stoic face. “Well, I find myself in need more than usual, so exorcise sounds fun for the first time actually” JoJo explained donning her signature shades and stepping back over towards the door “I guess I’ll run around the campus a few times to get a charge going.... I’ll see ya later on”

Mina watched her go, still lying on her bed, and lay there for a while longer, staring at JoJo’s possessions. She wasn’t an idiot. She knew that most people were not rich, but to see this selection of possessions from her roommate up close...it was hard to ignore. She felt pity for her new roomie, and after a brief moment of thought, hopped off her bed, took some running shoes out of her case and slipped them on, and then ran after JoJo. She could rest properly when she was asleep. Besides, a run might be good for her right now. ”JoJo, wait! I’ll run with you!” she called out when she caught up.

Mako Akane

Mako grinned as the students gradually began to figure it out. She had never once given them permission to hit her. They will remember this. This feeling of outrage in an unfair defeat. May heroes don't feel it until they fight a villain face to face, but by that point, after having took her class, all of these students will be unfazed by it. And that's if they ever get duped by a villain. Just because Mako was a thief who fought with Heroes and evaded justice doesn't mean she was comfortable with murderers, thugs, and organised criminals roaming the country. She wanted the next generation of Heroes to take down as many Villains at they could, even the thieves, because if they couldn't evade capture for committing crimes, they didn't deserve to be free. That's how Mako's twisted morality worked. If you could get away with stealing it, you deserve no punishment, but only if, and she wasn't going to make it easy for any future thieves to outdo her, dammit!

Dulga apologized, all traces of villainy gone as she rather meekly looked sorry. Mako put her hand on the girl's shoulder and smiled. "It is not easy to get under a villain's skin. Don't be sorry for that ability, harness it and use it for good. When villains lost control of the situation and go angry, that's when they're most vulnerable. You're looking to be a top student in this class."

And that's exactly when she was groped from behind by Tomoe. Mako's facial expression didn't change, but her aura suddenly became intense. "Kishimoto Tomoe," she started calmly, "Double detention, and if you don't let go in five seconds, that'll be triple."

Despite her seeming anger, Mako was actuaqlly trying not to chuckle. This girl honestly reminded Mako a lot of herself at that age; sleeping in class, half-assing answers, and especially the groping people from behind. Tomoe was one to watch.

"Alright, class dismissed. Good job today, everyone!"

Taleste nodded, and took the lead wordlessly. From now on, the chatty thief would only speak when she absolutely had to, and as quietly and in as few words as possible. Her silenced pistol was within easy reach, on her belt, and her knife was in a string-loaded holster on her right wrist. She moved through the vent as if she had lived in vents all her life, fast and assured. She was now showing her colors as a serious and proud professional thief.

Heidi was about to correct Shawn's 'morning' as she walked through the door, but decided to let him figure it out, and sure enough, he did. Smiling, Heidi took a seat beside him, though not after nodding at Peter, and waving. "Доброе утро. Как поживаешь?" she spoke cheerfully and confidently, as she often did when speaking in another language.

"It is almost lunch," she replied to Shawn after she was seated. "Want to go and get it together after this class?"

She looked up when Olinda walked in. "I don't think so," she answered. "This is Kurt's class. Have you read the screenplay?" Heidi, of course, had read the screenplay, in order to wind down after finished work for one of her online courses. The school had made an exception in allowing Heidi to take online University and College courses. They simply realised that there was little they could teach her academically. Even this class was just to keep her busy and to utilise her imagination. Besides, she'd feel very alone if she was out of class while the others were in it all the time.

Shawn began to talk about training, but changed his mind and suggested R&R, Heidi nodded and muttered an agreement, but admittedly wasn't very good at relaxing and being a normal member of society. She was comfortable in the mansion because most people had accepted her for who she was, but in the outside would, she reverted to worrying about social interaction to the point where she paralysed herself back to the stage she was at before Booker started to help her.

Tobias grinned at his leader's orders. Time to make somebody pay. The longer he went without hurting humans, the more pent up his resentment of their race. He needed outlets like this every so often to clear his blood. Speaking of blood, he'd better take her advice and feed.

---

Several hours later, he was walking down a street in the bad part of town, in the richest-looking clothes he owned, cane in hand, and tapping out his presence to those around him, just screaming out 'Hey! I'm vulnerable and richly dressed! Mugging me will likely net you a lot of money very easily!' Of course most people would find doing that to a blind man too repulsive, but Tobias knew that most of them were just waiting for a moment where they wouldn't be seen or judged. His faith in humans to be bigger than that was low, and sure enough, the moment he stepped into a secluded alley, he heard footprints speedily approach him.

The moment he sensed the assailant was about to grab him, he twirled round, smacked the thug so hard over the head with the cane that he must of recieved a concussion from that, and then lunged in for the kill, biting the mugger's neck with on hand over his mouth to muffle the screams, and drained him until his own belly was full. To cover his tracks, and to finish off the wretched thug's meaningless life, he pulled out a knife, and cut a line in his throat connecting the two bite marks. The blade kept going, however, until he had fully cut the mugger's throat. Tobias drooped him and left him to die as he discarded his bloodstained coat and left the alley from the other side, and made his way back to the law firm.

@Burning Kitty
The way even the KH1 fan is shitting on Alice in Wonderland makes me think that I might actually begin having fun with this game if I manage to slog through the shitshow that is the Alice in Wonderland level.

No, seriously, if I have three seconds of fun playing this fucking game tomorrow, I'll only have had three seconds out of my entire life having fun with it. It's that much of a chore to me. But it feels like a fundamentally wrong thing that I don't like Kingdom Hearts. I should like Kingdom Hearts. On paper it's my dream game. *Frustration*
@Leaves

It took you until...a pretty late-sounding part of the game, to have a gripe with it. Maybe I should attempt to slog through for the 4th time. That's right. I've given up with this game three times. I just cannot find any kind of entertainment value and it's a chore.

I never get angry that popular games are popular, or unpopular games are unpopular, but with KH, it's...it's different. It's like Im' not angry at the game, or people who like it. I'm angry at the Universe.

This is a PS2 classic, which I love. It's an action JRPG, which I love. It has platforming, which I love. I love Disney, and I LOOOOOVE Final Fantasy.

Why has fate denied me the ability to see anything of worth in a game which is praised by millions, and is basically my dream game realised?
@Fabricant451

The best one?

Either they broke a good game and made it into a bad, not-fun game with KH1.5 for PS3, or I'm missing something. Like, it would have to suddenly have to get REALLY good after Alice in Wonderland (That's where I stopped playing) to justify it's reputation, and even then, NOBODY talks about how abysmally shit the entire game up to Alice in Wonderland is. Because that's what the game I played is. Shit.
