A Collaboration Between: @Bee and @Silver Carrot
Featuring: Kazue Suzuki and Gary Reynolds

School was over, and Gary Reynolds, as usual, was deliberately holding back in order to stay average. He didn’t want to stand out as particularly smart even though he was actually a bright kid. He had no intention of going to an Ivy League college even if he was able to. He did not want that kind of pressure. He’s spent most of his life under pressure to be the model son, up until two years ago. He had a growth spurt at fourteen, getting slightly taller than his father. Something in him snapped. He realised that he didn’t have to hold himself to his father’s standards. He didn’t have to be the perfect gentleman at all times, or be the most talented at everything he did. He started to actively strive to do the opposite. It started as an edgy, rebellious phase, but he’s been at it for too long, and now he has become Gary. He might never be able to go back to being Gareth, and sometimes, he almost wants to. Not that he wasn’t happier like this. There were no expectations, and when he screwed up, nobody noticed. They only noticed when he let slip a glimpse of brilliance, and was rewarded for it. This was the correct way round. This was life as it should be.

Life had its ups and downs, but this week had been an up. That party was great. The dancing was fun, and the drugs were plentiful. There was a hunt for stolen clothes, and Gary made the discovery that dabbling in submissive humiliation kinks would be a dangerous slippery slope for him. The highling of the night, though, was Kazue. The Japanese transfer student. Not only was she cute, not only was she genuine, but she put up with Gary even as he became less sober and coherent as the night went on. As far as Gery was concerned, that was grounds for at least an attempt to get to know her better.

Kaz was floating through her day as was typical Kaz fashion. It was hard to be involved and engaged in school when you could barely figure out what the teacher was saying. Needless to say, her English wasn’t exactly up to par to hang with the other students. Despite her lack of strength in the English department, she was still able to realize that Gary was still a nice dude. Currently, Kaz was glued to her phone as she was always. She was texting some friends she had back at home who for whatever ungodly reason, was still up at this time of night. Kaz missed them dearly, but it was something she had to overcome in order to achieve her dream of becoming an American student.

Looking up from her phone for once, though, she saw a rather familiar sight. She could’ve seen that hair and dumb face from a mile away and recognize who it was. It was the man of the hour - Gary. As she got closer, Kaz got a little too excited and made a noise that no words could exactly describe, other than that it was rather happy and excited. ”Gary! Hello!”

Gary was slightly taken aback by that noise, and the surprise showed in his face. He never though repressing a giant grin would be so hard but that. Was. So. Adorable! He manage to keep in back, instead letting out a small, cool smile, and nodding at Kaz. ”Hey,” he replied, ”Kazue, right? From the party! What’s up?”

”I am good! You are?” Kaz beamed, her face lighting up brighter than the sun at the presence of probably the most handsome man around. ”It good to see you!”

The wide grin won, and Gary stopped trying to fight it and he smiled just a brightly as Kaz despite himself. ”Awesome! I’m good, but, I’m even better now! Wanna….I dunno. Wanna go somewhere and talk, or?”

”Where can we go? Do you know?” There wasn’t really anywhere Kaz could think of that would be appropriate. Maybe Gary knew a place?

Gay ginned, and even flushed a little. That was a yes. That was basically a yes. Maybe they both wanted this to become a thing. That would make everything so much easier! As to the answer to her question, though. Where could they go? A Gentleman should take a lady somewhere nice and fancy on a date, but Kaz didn’t want a Gentleman. She had been happy to see Gary, not Gareth. At the same time, his breeding and manners couldn’t allow him to take a nice girl to a fast food chain. It had to be special, but at the same time it had to be Gary. Then he remembered something. ”You know, I think I read something about some kind of movie night at Captain Cuddles tonight, and they do the best Pizzas around, man, It’s in a few hours, though, so it’s up to you if you wanna go there now, or do something else first like go to a cafe, or the park or something.”

”What is Captain Cuddle?” There was a little surge of happiness within Kaz as he gave her what she assumed was a location. Perfect. At least they had somewhere to go, but she wasn’t exactly sure what kind of place this “Captain Cuddles” was. She didn’t know what a Captain or a Cuddle was. ”Is good?”

”Captain Cuddles is an arcade, but it’s got a restaurant attached to it. It’s a bit of a stoner hangout, but the food is amazing.,” Gary explained, scratching his head nonchalantly. ”It’s a bit of a walk unless we get a taxi.”

”We walk. Save money?” Kazue nudged Gary along, ”Come on, let’s go!”

”Okay! Okay! I’m going!” Gary chuckled as he held up his hands and let her mudge him towards the door, before taking the lead. As they headed away from the school, Gary looked over at Kaz while they walked. ”Hey. I’m sorry if I already asked you this at the party, but can you tell me more about you? Where you’re from? What you wanna go onto study? That kind of stuff.”

”Goooo!” Kaz nudged, before following him out of the door. Stepping up alongside, she thought about the question she was asked. Well, it was pretty obvious that she wasn’t from here. That, at the very least, was obvious. ”Oh, uh, I’m from Japan. I am here to go to school.” That was pretty much the best way she could’ve put it.

Gary chuckled, and shook his head. ”Well, that’s not wrong. What I mean is, where in Japan are you from? Did you live in a city or in a small village? What subjects are you hoping to focus on?”

”Oh. I came from Tokyo. Biggest city in Japan.” Kaz shrugged when the subject of what she wanted to study. ”I don’t know. I just be here to go to school. What about you?”

”I guess I’m the opposite. I don’t want to be at school but I’ll get kicked out if I don’t stay until I graduate. I decided that BHHS is, for all its faults, a lot better than homelessness. I haven’t thought about my life once I do graduate. Hopefully by then, my dad’ll have backed off some and I can start making my own choices. Sorry...I dug a bit deep there….uh. So, Tokyo, huh? I’ve always wanted to go there one day.”

To be truthfully honest, a lot of what Gary had said had slipped through her mind, mostly because she didn’t understand. It was for the better, honestly. ”Tokyo very big. Too many people. I like here better. If you want to go, don’t go during the summer. Very hot.” Kaz shrugged, before abruptly shifting the topic, ”What is Captain Cuddle?”

Gary had to think about what Kaz meant by that, as she had already asked the exact same question earlier. Then, he had told her what kind of place Captain Cuddles was. This time, she was obviously trying to change the subject, so Gary decided he’d give her a different answer. ”You mean, why is it called that? I’m not actually sure. I think at some point, it was probably supposed to be a family restaurant with some arcade machines, or it could have just been a kid’s arcade. All I know is that word of the good food and classic arcade machines spread around BHHS and teenagers pretty much took over as the main demographic.”

”Is big teddy bear?” For whatever reason, Kaz had the the weird preconception that this Captain Cuddles was just one big giant teddy bear. She’d never seen it before, but she was looking forward to it. ”How long until we get there?”

Gary had to think about that question. He couldn’t actually remember if Captain Cuddles even had a mascot. ”I don’t think it’s a teddy. Wasn’t it like a cat or something? Either way, it should be a bear. Maybe a bear dressed as a pirate.” he then craned his neck as they walked along the street. ”It’s on this street somewhere, but I’m not sure if I can see it yet.”

”Why is it not a bear? You cuddle teddy bear when you sleep, yes?” Kaz sighed. It was a missed opportunity that she was sad to see. ”Is that it over there?” Kaz pointed to a brightly colored building.

Gary followed Kaz’s finger’s direction until he caught sight of Captain Cuddles, and then nodded. ”Yeah, that’s it! When we get there, we should definitely ask whoever’s in charge why they don’t have a teddy bear mascot.” he replied, chuckling, and casting a sidelong glance at the cute Japanese student as they walked side by side.

”I will fight them.” Kazue said adamantly, before turning her stoic face into a smile. ”Is there pizza?”

”Oh, yeah!” answered Gary, chuckling at just how cute that proclamation of fighting them was. ”This is one of the best places around for pizza. They do a thing called a ‘pizza bar special’ which is like a buffet of endless pizza, and it’s all good.”

”Pizza? I like pizza!” Kaz’s face beamed at the prospect of bottomless pizza. She was definitely excited for what was up ahead. Bottomless pizza was the most American thing she’d ever heard, and she was more than down for it.

Kasuke Mina

Mina listened to Kaida's telling of events. It certainly sounded serious. The way Mina's confidence had took a dive since the exercise, she didn't know if she'd have fared better than most of the others. The fact that Kaida froze, however, made Mina feel a little better about herself. She wouldn't have frozen.

But then Kaida looked fondly to Jett, and mentioned how strong he was. This piqued Mina's curiosity. Jett had been at the school. Mina herself had talked to him while these attacks would have supposedly took place, or at least, there's no way he could have been in two places at once without his quirk, which he had told Mina still wasn't working properly. Jett's reaction made things clearer. Mina's hunch was right. He wasn't there. Kaida was mistaken. The details seemed to point to a mysterious person, in Jett's suit, who had saved the day. They'd probably need to be around Jett's build and have a super strength quirk. Mina didn't know anybody who fit that description, but a fellow first year student wouldn't have been strong enough to fight a full-on villain. It had to be somebody else close to Jett. Mina's thoughts went first to Jais, who was too tall, then to Jett's sister, who was completely the wrong frame. She'd have to mull it over.

But was now the right time to correct Kaida? The devil on Mina's shoulder smiled with glee. No. No, it was not. There would be a more opportune time. All she had to do was wait. Mina glanced at Jett, and as she did so, though the rest of her face was unchanged, there was an unsettling sparkle in her eyes, that betrayed to him that she also knew he hadn't been the one who saved Kaida.

"I wish I could have seen it. In fact, I wish I had know about this whole thing sooner so I could have helped. I feel like I should apologise, as little sense as that makes. So, I'm sorry, Kaida."

Koizumi Seiko

"That's good to know!" Seiko answered Toru, "And will probably come in handy if we're ticking off Amane. For the record, I can't be killed either. At least not very easily. You'd have to stab me in the heart without me noticing, or drop me into molten metal like a terminator."

Seiko then listened to Mamoru's proposal, which was actually really good. Seiko even got to fight Lysander, which was a plus. The downside was that when Aname got free, Seiko and Lysander would have to face him in class, and that wouldn't go well. Seiko was already dreading that encounter, but this prank? Honestly? It was worth it. "I like that idea," Seiko answered Mamoru. "I vote we do it."

Maeda Hitomi

When Nomoe appeared, Hitomi's first thought was to give Tomoe to Acion, and try to reason with her roomate's dark double, but when she attacked Acion with claws, it was clear she wadn't in a talking mood. She was probably in defense mode, on account of Tomoe being hurt. Hitomi nodded to Acion. "I'll take her to the nurse's office. In the meantime, don't get hurt."

And just because it felt like the right and natural thing to do at that moment in time, she leaned over and kissed Acion's cheek, before picking Tomoe up and carrying her to the nurse's office. She would have struggled but for her nerves, and the lingering anger from Acion's story, enhancing her strength enough that she was able to carry Tomoe the full distance.

Hey, maybe it can still happen. Placebo effect. That'd be embarrasing.
Damn, Neil. I don't know whether to be worried or jealous.

Eilidh watched as Titanica and Vară succumbed to the effects of the drugged food, and watching them, Eilidh was really, really glad she hadn't yet eaten anything. It was already taking all of her effort and willpower to remain composed. Vară had actually transformed into her Fire Demon form! Eilidh's first thought was to guard Bast, but that moron actually went up to the two girls, which was not doing anybody any favours, except possibly Bast for the present. The Centaur unbuckled her sheath, with sword inside, and wielded it as a non-lethal, blunt weapon.

"Okay, Bast, I'd get annoyed with you flirting with other girls in my prescence at the best of times. On top of that, you're being an idiot right now and putting yourself in danger!" She warned, as he came back to her side and started making jokes. Eilidh huffed irately. "Unbelievable! Is this all a joke to you? Come on! We have to get you out of here!"

Without any further warning, Eilidg grabbed Basts' arm and started to canter away, at a pace he could keep up with, away from the populated streets. With the other, she clipped the sword back onto her belt. After they reached the outskirts, and there were fewer stimuli, Eilidh calmed down, and the constant blush lessened from her face. In fact, she looked slightly downcast. "Well, this is not how I pictured our trip to Eros going. It almost feels wasted now."

I'll post tonight after running

Kasuke Mina

Mina found Yozakura-san's room, and entered it with a tray full of Japanese hospital food, and quite good quality too! "I told them one of the patients has a quirk that needs to eat a lot and they gave me all of this without any questions. It should get you feeling a little more lucid" She set the tray down besides Donny, and had a quick look at Yozakura-san. Mina did not know who this girl was, her quirk, or anything about her other than that she had seen her around. It was callous, but as long as she recovered in health and mind, Mina didn't really want to know anymore. She wasn't interested.

"Motome-san came and told a group of us, though she was pretty vague about the attacks themselves. That's actually what I came for, besides making sure everybody was ok. I wanted to know more about these attacks. I-"

Mina was cut off from audible raised voices oming from down the hall that definitely belonged to a girl. I could be Kaida, but there was one that sounded younger. Mina sighed, muttered "Nani?", and stood up. "I'm sorry, Donny. I need to go and see what all this fuss is about. In the meantime, eat up."

Mina ventured from Yozakura's room to Kaida's room, and entered the doorway just in time to see Kaida hugging Jett. No, this all seemed fine. There wasn't anything wrong and Mina had no reason to be here. She should leave. But she couldn't. She could leave things the way they were. She entered the room, slipped right past Ruby and Roy, and got close enough to Jett and Kaida that they coul both clearly see her. Lady Mode, don't fail me now.

"Kaida! Are you okay? I heard there was an attack! What happened?"

Maeda Hitomi

"Then they get backup from other qualified Heroes," Hitomi answered for Acion, and was about to go into more detail when Tomoe fainted and bashed her head against the desk. Hitomi rushed to her side, though not as fast as Acion, who asked if she had a handkerchief. Hitomi nodded and took one out of her pocket, applying it to the bleeding wound.

"It doesn't look life-threatening but it's still a little more serious than a band-aid job. If I hold the handkerchief firmly in place, can you carry her?"

@Conscripts@liferusher
Oh, I am definitely letting Titanica and Vara post first. This is gonna be fun!

A @Silver Carrot & @Silent Observer collab
Featuring: Gib-Gab & Rif-Raf
Location: Captain Cuddles
Time: Friday, After school

Gabriela Garcia arrived at the arcade a few minutes early, and waved goodbye to her mom who had dropped her off. Daniela Garcia had gotten several stares in the process from the arcade-goers, some of whom swore they recognised her from the inlays of her fantasy novels. Others were staring just because she was something of a raven-haired beauty. Either way, Dani had quickly made her exit to stop drawing attention to her embarrassed daughter.

Gab herself wasn’t as eye-catching, even with her makeup and pretty features. She was short, with dyed blonde hair, a leather jacket and a denim skirt, below which were leggings that were laddered and hole-filled when she bought them, and black boots. She was the kind of gamer girl you wouldn’t bat an eye passing in a West Coast arcade.

She looked around as she waited for Raf, hoping he wasn’t too late. Dreamland had been a lot of fun two nights ago. Gab and Raf didn’t talk much. They didn’t really need too. They had spent all night playing co-op games together and having a laugh. It was a chilled, relaxed atmosphere, even more so than the taco meetup a night prior, and she’d had a lot of fun. So much that she’d suggested they hit the arcade together one day, and Raf replied that he was free tonight. She joked at the time that it was kind of a date, but...it kind of was.

Rafael was excited. He had a date with a pretty blonde girl, there would be pizza, and there would be vintage arcade games. If he played his cards right, he could probably super impress her by beating his own high score in Ms. Pac Man. He’d been trying to beat that score for a while now anyway. With his goals for the night in mind, Riff skated down the sidewalk on his bright green penny board. He was sober (a rarity) and had one earbud in as he listened to music and enjoyed the weather on his way to Captain Cuddle’s.

Apparently, he had taken a bit longer than he thought in his skating through town, because Gabriela was already standing outside the arcade. Hopefully he hadn’t upset her, he couldn’t be too late. Her outfit was grungy in that cute kind of way and Riff admired it as he put a foot down on the sidewalk and kicked his board up into his hand. He strapped the board to his backpack as he walked over to his date. “Hey GibGab, ‘sup?”

Gabriella was secretly elated that she had been called GibGab by anyone. That it was Raf was a bonus. She smiled brightly at him and brushed some stray hair from her face. “Hey, RifRaf,” she answered, almost giggling the words out, “I’ve never been on a date before, but I know how to game, so shall we? You’re looking cool, by the way.”

Raf looked down at what he was wearing, having forgotten his outfit entirely. It wasn’t something he had spent too much time planning, just his usual band shirt, skinny jeans, and skater shoe combo. “Oh, thanks!” He replied with a wide grin. “You look good too, I like the, uh, tights.” Riff nodded, yeah, he was pretty sure that’s what those were called, his sisters wore them too… but like, with less holes in them. He liked them with the holes more, he decided. “So, I know Toad is your fave Mario Kart driver, but this place has the classics, so what’s your favorite arcade game?”

“Thanks!” Gab cheerily replied, liking the compliment and determined not to make this date awkward for a second by force of sheer cheeriness. She had to think about her favourite arcade game for a second, though. “Of all time, House Of The Dead 2, but if we’re just looking at the classics, then….I’d have to say Gauntlet. I like a challenge, even if that equates to more money in an arcade. That’s why I usually find a version I can play at home, and practice there. So, what’s yours?”

“House Of The Dead 2! Right on! I love plinking zombies. They have that one here, we’ll have to partner up and fight the hordes.” Riff flashed a flirtatious grin her way. People might think Raf was a dumb kid, and they weren’t necessary wrong, but he wasn’t romantically inept. Farm from it, actually, he had some innate roguish charm that scored him a few hookups in his past. But, this was different, this was unfamiliar territory. He was pretty sure that he liked Gabby, like, liked her liked her. “My favorite is a super classic, Pac Man. I’ve been holding onto the high score on the Ms. Pac Man machine here for like six months, A Dubs is always on my tail to take it back, though… So, you ever been here before?” Rafael asked as they stepped in through the front doors. The delicious aroma of pizza and fried goodness, like onion rings and mozz sticks, greeted their noses. There was even the ambience of arcade games being played, which was unusual, given that Ty usually kept the door to the back room closed. “Oh, word, they’re keeping the door propped now. That’s less obstacles between food and games.” Riff mused aloud.

Gab, despite being a social butterfly and not that bad looking, had no former hookups to speak of. Because of her lifestyle choices and hobbies in elementary and middle school, whenever she wasn’t spending nights alone, she spent them with people who hadn’t the social confidence to ask her out, even if they wanted to (and a few of them probably did). Raf was the first time a boy had ever told her, without a hint of bashfulness, that they thought she was cute. Whatever it was that she had with Raf, she didn’t want to lose it. In fact, when he shot her that grin, she was the bashful one, looking away with a small smile and a sudden flush of color to her cheeks.

“No,” she replied, not wanting to change the subject away from the unspoken conversation but not brave enough to address it yet, “I’ve never been to this arcade before. I haven’t had many free evenings since I got here, and when I do, I usually game alone. Used to play at the arcade all the time in Arcadia. Heh. That pun wasn’t on purpose.” Determined not to let that, of all things, cause and awkward silence, she soldiered on. “I don’t think I’ve ever set a high score, though, but then again, I’ve never tried. That’s it. That’s my goal for tonight. I’m gonna get a high score in something!”

“Arcade in Arcadia, heh…” Riff responded with a token stoner’s giggle. He was easy to amuse for the most part. “Well, you don’t have to game alone anymore!” Whether that would be interpreted as another gamer pick up line, or a confirmation that she was officially a bonafide part of the burner crew, would be up to Gabriella. But to Rafael, both things were true. “Since you’ve never been, here’s the crash course on Captain Cuddle’s. That—” Raf pointed towards the food counter, “Is where you get the best pizza of your life, I swear on it. And back there—” He pointed through the propped open door, “Is where you are going to earn your first ever high score in House Of The Dead 2. So, you hungry, or do you want to start off the night gaming?” As they walked through the dining room of Captain Cuddle’s, it could be noted that Riff had his hand softly against the small of Gabby’s back as he guided her around.

Gab didn’t see ‘won’t have to game alone anymore’ as a pick-up line. It was already true. Even if nothing came of Gib-Gab and Rif-Raf romantically, they were going to become best friends as a worst case scenario. She noted the hand on her back but didn’t even address it yet, let alone make any move to change things. She actually liked acting like a couple with Raf. It was relaxed. Gab had heard all the cliches about dating and how it was stressful and awkward. She didn’t get any of that with Raf. He was too chill a person to get stressed about and she was too positive a person to get stressed easily.

She looked to the food court, then looked to the propped open door. “Hmmm, I’d say food first. That way we don’t have to take a break from the gaming later. Plus I know that you can’t focus on anything but food when you’re hungry. I’ve only met you three times before this and I already know that,” She stated with an impish smile and a cheeky nudge to the side.

Rafael grinned at that very accurate accusation. “I mean… you’re not wrong. You got me!” He held his hand up in mock surrender and laughed. He took a moment to browse the menu, not because he needed to, but because he wanted to give Gab some time to look it over. “My recommendation is the pizza bar special. The pizza is as endless as you want it to be, as long as you aren’t too picky about toppings, it’s the best value.” He nodded as if he was a real mathematician. Hell, when it came to food, maybe he could be! “And it comes with the staple sides, like onion rings and mozz sticks and some kind of potatoey treat. Salad too, but who needs that kind of negativity in their life?”

Gab was going to legitimately read the menu, but upon the mention of endless pizza, she immediately put it down. “Okay, you’ve sold me. That sounds amazing. I’ll even eat the salad. I don’t care. I actually like salad. What kinda pizzas do they do here? Is there a good selection? I mean, even if it’s just cheese, or pepperoni, I’m still super down.”

“All kinds, dude. One of the chefs is super creative and is always putting out new combinations, so you get a wide variety. There's almost always a plain option too, though.” Raf responded as they walked up to the register. The cashier recognized him and greeted him accordingly. Riff paid for both of their buffet costs, because Mamá taught him that's what gentlemen do on dates. “So you like video games, and computer stuff… you even made your own game, right? What else do you like doing?” He asked Gab as he used a spatula to pull a cheesy slice of Hawaiian pizza off the buffet pan, and put it onto his plate.

“What else? Um...I write, I suppose. Nothing really serious. I’ll never be an author like my mom, or anything, but it’s fun,” replied Gab as she picked a slice of pizza without even looking. It was meat feast. “What about you? I mean, I know you’re a mean Mario Karter, but what else do you do?”

“Oh, word? Your mom’s an author? Like… what kind of books?” Riff asked before taking a bite of the first of many slices of pizza that would be consumed that night. He remembered to chew with his mouth closed and swallow before talking, trying his hardest to be polite. It could be pretty hard, ya know? “Me? I uh, like art and music. Digital stuff, like the kind of art and music you can do with computer programs. But, like you said, not really serious…” Raf said with a shrug. It wasn’t very serious yet, at least.

Gab shrugged too, and gave Raf a smile. “That’s what high school’s for. If we haven’t figured the next step out when we’re 18, we’re in trouble, but now? I’m not gonna sweat it. May as well enjoy myself till then. And yeah. My mom writes fantasy novels. The Westermount series. Her name’s Daniela Garcia, but it was Daniela Johnson when she started them.” she explained, gauging Raf’s reaction to see whether he’d heard of them, but Gab doubted he would have. He didn’t seem an avid reader unless the book was online.

She doubted him right, Raf didn’t have a clue. “I pretty much only read comics ‘n stuff, unless I have to for school, so I don’t recognize her. That’s really cool though, I don’t think I’ve ever met an author in real life…” He looked a little dazed out for a moment. “... unless maybe I have, and I just didn’t know. You know? Guess it’s pretty silly to think they’re all shut ins like that one movie… uhh…” He mentally ran through the filing cabinets of movie knowledge stored in between the grooves of his brain. “Secret Window! That’s it. Yeah, can’t all be that crazy!” Riff proudly chomped down another slice of pizza, pleased that he remembered something, for once!

Gab giggled and shook her head, as she grabbed another slice of pizza. “Nah, my mom’s pretty normal. She’s something of a socialite and likes going to meet and greets, and signings. She keeps telling me that she was a cripplingly shy shut-in recluse for all of her teenage years, actually, but I just can’t buy it. I’ve seen pictures. If she was here, she’d be turning heads. What does your family do?”

“My parents?” Rif asked. His family’s professions weren’t glamorous by any means, but he was too chill to let that embarrass him. Plus, they were hard working and loving, and no kid could ask for more than that. If they did, they were a douche. And douches aren’t chill. “My Mamá’s a housekeeper, mostly works for the Hemsleys. And Papá does landscaping for… whoever needs it around here, I guess. He runs a company for it. Then, besides my rents and siblings, the rest of the family lives in Tijuana.”

“Ooh!” Gab replied, interested. “I wonder if they know my dad. Brian Garcia. He’s a bit of a jack of all trades, but primarily an electrician. I’m fairly sure he’s done gardening at some point, though.” Gab put the crust of her third slice of pizza back on the plate. “I think I might be eating this pizza too fast,” she explained, to justify her behaviour.

“Nah, it’s totally hot, don’t worry about it.” Raf said with a smirk. He liked a girl that wasn’t afraid to eat, especially on a first date. There was one thing sticking out to him, though… “Are you not going to eat your crust?”

The wording stuck out to Gab. When they say ‘are you not going to eat that?’ then it means they want you to eat it. It’s when they say ‘are you going to eat that’, that they want to eat it themselves. Gab was inwardly screaming and squeeing at the fact that the food-obsessed Raf was looking out for her in his own way, and she picked the crust back up, even though she still felt that she had rushed the pizza and perhaps didn’t have room for this yet. She did not want to let Raf down! He called her ‘hot’! There’s no way she could leave this crust after that!

“Of course I am,” she tutted with an eyeroll, before eating it slowly, trying to hide that she was almost forcing it. After consuming the whole crust, she turned to the bar and asked, still with a mouthful of pizza crust and no moisture, for a large glass of water.

“Good, it's the best part!” He grinned. “I like to dip mine in hot sauce.” Riff explained before doing just that, finishing off his fourth? Fifth? However many-th slice. “Shall we make our way to the games now?

“Hell yeah!” answered Gab with a fist pump, as she downed her water in one, left the glass on the bar, and followed Raf into the arcade proper. “I’ve gotta get me a high score today!”

"More or less..." Muttered Eilidh under her breath with an air of doubt, as she followed Gina through the town, unfortunately having to pass the sights, sounds and smells of the 'more or less married' couples. After a while she had to stop and rest against a wall, panting, with a heavy blush on her face.

"Yes, please refrain from putting anything suspicious in my food, unless it's a sedatrive or a tranquilliser. Just walking through these streets is more aphrodisiac than a Centaur's senses can handle. The sooner we get somewhere I can sit down, drink a pint of water and take a bracing cold shower, the better."

The talk of the job between Titanica, Gina, and Bast was a welcome distraction, and Eilidh listened as she struggled along.
