De-Extinction;
We didn’t know what would happen, we just wanted to help the world…
I promise we didn’t know that this would happen like it did…

If you can hear this, please just take a moment to listen. I promise this will be worth your time.
Firstly, I want to apologise for what myself and other scientists did all those years ago. We didn’t think it would cause such a problem… We didn’t know it was going to cause so much loss.
I.. Think I need to explain myself.
My name is Doctor Alex Holmes. I was the head Science Director of ‘Project Renewal’; I was hired by the government to find a way to stop our resources depleting. It was supposed to be for the goodness of humanity…
Oh how we fucked up royally, yes I know.
I… We…
Sorry, I’m a bit shaky. My mind is a bit scattered, I’ll try not to ramble.
We found a way to double the resources we had left in the world, without needing to spend effort on trying to reduce our carbon footprint, go out to space or anything like that.
We found a lost god. It sounded too good to be true… And it was. It was way too good to be true.

The transmission cuts for a moment, the static sounding slightly warped, before it cuts in once more.
- It’s true intentions.
It told us it could revert what we had done, give us back what we had originally taken without taking away from what we already had.
But in order to do it, we had to give it something as a sacrifice…
Many men were used. Destroyed. Killed.
But the barrier between our world and theirs was shattered. They slipped through with ease, towering over us immensely and we were told - in our minds - that we were to be rewarded…
Reality warped that day.
Another Earth; we still don’t know where it came from, or when it came from, slammed into ours - Warping our entire world together with whatever it was.
Gods, what we lost was irreparable. We couldn’t repair what we did.. I’m sorry. I really am, I didn’t mean to cause this.
I didn’t mean for our technology to be wiped out, for things not to work. To basically throw us back into a technological stone age.
Please. If you’re out there.
Keep fighting.
Remember, the beasts are the least of our worries. Humans are known to train and domesticate, and I believe we can still do that with these things. But watch out.
They are out there.
Hungry.
Starving
They came to feed. And we allowed them in.
Keep strong. Humans are good at persisting.

Welcome to De-Extinction!
The world has been ‘destroyed’; an old Eldritch god woken by scientists in the year 2039 brought another Earth - Unknown where or when it came from - into the one we know today. In doing so, time was thrown through a loop, as well as civilization as we knew it.
The lands ripped apart and strung themselves back together; some forming like they had in Pangea, some just pulling away into their own separate continents.
What was Europe and North America was shot together, turned into a twisted land of beasts and men.
It is not known what happened outside of this new Continent, now known as ‘Goldeya’. Radios went down, the internet seemed to disappear. A large ripple of technology destroying power echoed around the world once the two planets combined.
As well as destroying structures of cities and technology, something else came from the ‘Fissure Event’, as people are calling it.
Prehistoric Beasts were brought back, some didn’t survive the difference in atmosphere for longer than the first year; which is lucky - Meganeura was a hell of a thing to fight against. And while we don’t get to sneak around Dreadnoughtus, the smaller Sauropods still wander the land, but stick to the lush forests.
Pterosaurs roam the skies alongside other larger birds, of course the time-native birds seemed to survive okay as well. Most modern animals seemed to adapt to the new world well enough, the destruction of cities and reforming of native habitats in different spots seemed to help spike some numbers.
Therapods roam basically everywhere; the smaller, feathered ones stick to the closed parts of the broken streets of whatever small settlements still pop up around the place. There aren’t many proper cities around anymore, after the event caused most of the power to disappear.
Plus, the larger, more dangerous Theropods are drawn to noise; so big cities were never going to be viable again.

But Prehistorics aren’t the only thing we need to worry about.
Stalkers is what they’re called.
They’re humanoid in shape, but they perch like monkeys in trees; their arms long and twisted. They’re drenched in shadows, we don’t know what they fully are, no one has been able to destroy one yet.
They hunt humans, they hunt Dinosaurs, they hunt animals. They’re hungry and we can’t stop them, nor can we send them back to where they came from…
Or can we?
