Tesoro pulled Lizzie’s attention, speaking softly to her and offering to be part of a small contingent she sent over to negotiate. While she appreciated the offer, part of what he said had her pausing. She glanced over at him, studying him for only a moment. ”Ya have some misgivings on my own personal thoughts towards ya, Tesoro. We may have all gotten off to a rough start, however the instant I let ya out of that cage ya became part of my crew. I don’t think you, or anyone else here, actually knows exactly what that means to me. When you are my crew, ya become my family and I will protect my family. So I can’t let you or anyone else go over there, okay?” She knew she was showing some vulnerability to him currently, but she didn’t care. What she spoke was the truth and they all deserved to know where she stood on how she viewed them all, despite having only really known them for a day. ”And if we get out of this without a fight then ya can fight me later in my quarters.” She added the last part teasingly with a smirk before looking back to the other crew and the dark elf that just made a perverse remark.

”Ya claim it would be a missed opportunity for me, however yer the one that seems to be trying to sell yourself like a whore with that comment.” She gave Vellen a smirk as the other dark elf, the twin, went on to address Tesoro and Nym. Lizzie decided to use this opportunity to quietly speak to the rest of her crew, glancing over at Tigerlily and ignoring her rude comment towards Tesoro.

”Pay attention to our surroundings. Tigerlily explained earlier to me how this wasn’t Ardyn’s main ship and I wouldn’t be surprised if that main ship were nearby in case things went sour here. Perhaps cloaked in some sort of magic? If they come aboard our ship we need to be prepared to dispatch of them swiftly. Nym makes a point with mentioning our sparse ranks so we may have to get creative if this comes to a fight.” She’d turned away from the other crew to speak, trying to keep them from being able to possibly read her lips. Once finished explaining her suspicions she turned back to the other ship.

She kept a smile on her face as Vellen explained how the sea was “claimed” by Ardyn, but her irritation grew ever so slightly. The sea wasn’t something someone claimed, she was her own mistress. If anything, one paid tax to her and respected her. The fact that this Captain Ardyn thought he owned part of the sea got under Lizzie’s skin. It was as if the sea spoke to her, begging her to free her from this false master. Little did she know the waters were responding to her emotions, slowly becoming more agitated and causing the ships to rock slightly more than they were before.

Her eyes locked on the male fairy who was making fun of her crew. She grinned at him, but it wasn’t a friendly look by any means. ”Assholes? Ya wound me with such a boring insult. Why not call me a cunt? I much prefer that one.” She then turned back to Vellen.

"I have a few issues with yer demands. First, I've never been a fan of tax collectors. Second, the sea despises being claimed as it shows her little respect. Don't ya hear her protesting?" She asked as she nodded towards the growing waves, seeming to be crashing into only their ship. Lizzie truly didn't know why it was happening, but she'd noted it moments ago and decided to run with it. "And last, ya act like this Captain Ardyn Croft is some sort of king. So what? Should I be frightened of him when I'm the devil herself?" A dark smile crossed Lizzie's features as she held her arms out wide.

"It may be time to see what we're all made of, boys and girls. The sea seems to be on our side though." She said softly to her crew.

Raven watched as Kharne saw her and started making her way over, but it then registered what Kaleb had said and she glanced over at him. ”Oh, um, t-thank you.” She said to him with a small smile. Eris just stood by, keeping a pleasant smile on her face as things happened. The dragonborn was rather large, but truly it didn't phase Eris much. In her long life she'd faced many people and things larger than her, even bringing some to bed with her. One doesn't get spooked by much when you've lived 1200 years.

Raven had expected to be scolded, but was surprised when she wasn't entirely scolded. She gave Kharne a bit of a sheepish grin as he placed his hand gently on her head. "I know and I'm sorry, I just needed space. When I'm stressed out like that I need space and time to cope with things otherwise I risk an emotional meltdown. I figured going off and giving myself space was a better idea than completely losing it and having….other things happen." She explained, not voicing what other things were but hoping he'd understand what she'd meant. It had dawned on her back in the fight with the trolls how their magic kind of worked. It was rather stereotypical, YA fantasy magic that reacted to your emotions. So before she lost it completely and had a magic explosion, she'd removed herself from the situation. "I also ended up running into a friend of mine! This is Kaleb and that's his friend Eris." She said as an introduction, deciding to keep up the thing Kaleb started the night before.

"It wasn't a problem at all, she found Kaleb and we determined it was best to get her mind off things for a bit. I do have to apologize for not bringing her back last night, though. When the adrenaline wore off she was so tired we decided it was best to keep her with us and find your group in the morning. I did try to send a message your way, but it seems like it never reached you?" Eris went on to explain to the man, giving her own apologetic look. She also went on to usher them all to keep moving as walking and talking was more productive.

Mika made note about the fruit salad, deciding that it sounded quite delightful. She then listened to him tell of his spectacular adventure guiding the lost spice traders across the dune sea. Truly she was quite fascinated by the sound of it all, having never experienced something like that. ”That does sound like quite the adventure. I’ve never experienced anything that exciting yet.” She said happily as they made it to the front of the cafe. Rosaria had said that they were seated in the back so she’d planned on heading straight back there.

As she led Uzul through the doors she explained to the hostess that they were meeting someone and began heading towards the back room. She passed a few occupied tables and spotted who she was looking for. She was almost to her destination, waving at Rosaria, as something registered in her peripherals. She paused for a moment then took a few steps back as she locked eyes with Slick. She stared at him for a long moment, trying to make sense of what she was seeing. He seemed to be sitting with some feline demihuman, but where was Kuroi? ”Slick? While I expected to see you here I expected to see you seated over there with a specific vulpine, not seated here with a feline. Where might Kuroi be? I’m not here to judge who you decide to go on a date with, but you can’t just ditch Kuroi like it appears you have.” She said as she crossed her arms over her chest judgingly. She then sighed as she debated on going to find Kuroi, having a feeling when he realized the human had ditched him he wouldn’t be too thrilled. She then remembered she had another with her and sighed at the situation. She’d have to get Kuroi a transmission bracelet for situations like this.

”I’m so sorry Uzul, this is one of my party members. He appears to have made a friend, but he was supposed to stay with the other party member of mine. If he doesn’t show up soon I’m afraid I might have to go find him. For now let’s join the ones I was intending to meet over there.” She explained to the orc with her, giving him an apologetic smile and pointing over at Rosaria’s table. She then turned back to Slick, a mild bit of irritation clear on her face.

”Mind joining us at the table over there? Your friend can pull their chair over as well and then we can all make introductions.” She formed it as a question, but it was rather clear that it wasn’t actually a question. Perhaps this human didn’t understand what it meant for him to have a bounty on his head in this world? She then turned and made her way over to Rosaria.

”My dear friend, it’s so good to see you again!” She said excitedly, before looking at the others at the table. ”Nuallán it’s a pleasure to see you again as well.” She greeted the man who seemed to always be by Rosaria’s side and then smiled at everyone else there. ” It’s a pleasure to meet the rest of you as well, you all can call me Mika.” She gave them all a respectful bow in greeting.

Lizzie had made a teasing comment the night before towards Barboda and Tesoro for not joining in the drinking, yet she followed it up with letting them know she could respect their decision. She’d also informed the crew that, while it was up to them how much they drank, if it ended up affecting their ability to perform their duties if they were to be attacked there would be consequences. She knew that for some, including herself, having some alcohol in their system caused them to actually perform duties better especially if it came to a fight. She didn’t second guess her decisions then and was quicker to react. So she’d only drank enough to relax and enjoy the night.

The next morning she was up early, familiarizing herself with the captain’s quarters and the map of Avalia. If her calculations were correct they were nearing those Dread Isles, if she turned them a few clicks northeast they’d head closer to the mainland and then likely come across some merchant ships if this world worked the same as theirs. So with that she left her cabin and took the helm, relieving whoever was there at the time. She then turned them in the direction she decided, not diverting too much from the path they were already taking.

It was a little later in the morning that she took notice of the schooner off to their east. She kept an eye on it, pointing it out to the crew, but not making any move towards it just yet. She did note that they seemed to be following them and this intrigued her. As the schooner got closer she could now see a black flag they were flying. It was Tigerlily who informed her that this was one of Captain Ardyn’s ships and Lizzie was sure this was going to be an interesting encounter. Might as well speak with them as this schooner was faster than them due to its smaller size. She ordered for the sails to be lowered some and to let them approach, but to be prepared for anything.

She slowly left the helm, eyeing the three on the other ship as one of them began speaking. She eyed the one mean-mugging them and merely gave him a smirk before looking back at the spokesman of the group. ”That would be me.” She said as she moved to the railing, but she made no move to go over to their ship at all. Instead she laced her fingers together, placed her elbows on the railing, then rested her chin atop her linked hands and grinned down at the three. ”However if you wish to speak to me, ye can come over here or we can stay on our proper ships and speak as we are now. Whatever ye need to discuss with me can be discussed in front of my crew.” She stood back up and gestured to her crew, glancing at all of them then back at Vellen. ”And if that doesn’t work for ya then you can right fuck off.” She told him, giving him the sweetest smile as she did so.

Raven blinked up at Kaleb momentarily as her brain wrapped around his words, specifically him being her Joker. He was just messing around right? Yeah he was messing around, she decided. Best not to think too much into the words and just play along. ”Aww you wanna be my puddin’? I think you’d be the perfect Mista’ J!” She said, taking on the Harley Quinn persona again briefly before laughing once more, snorting a little as she did but did her best not to get embarrassed and apologize over it. When it came to recognizing what a toxic relationship was, Raven was not skilled in it. All relationships she’d been in had been toxic and yet she never recognized it until it was too late. She, just like Kaleb, was ignorant to the fact that Joker and Harley Quinn was not a relationship to envy.

”Thank you, I’ll do my best to be more confident like the characters I portray. I’ve always wanted to be more confident, it’s just always been hard. My dad is the only one who’s ever supported me and encouraged me to just be myself.” She explained, but then her face fell as she thought more on her words. ”Or I guess he was. Unfortunately cancer took him six months ago.” Why was she telling him this? Perhaps she just needed to get it out, but at the same time it was bringing that pain right back. No, she wouldn’t let those feelings take over again. Not here, not right now. She’d surely lose control of her powers then and they couldn’t have that. She took a deep breath and shoved those feelings away. ”You know, he was a fan of yours as well. Alway used to say ‘that boy is so talented, I wonder what he’s like in real life?’ He’d love to have learned that you’re a sweetheart and a gentleman.” She gave him a soft smile.

Meanwhile behind them Eris was now watching something else. Her attention had been caught by some small commotion a ways ahead of them. Even though, as an elf, her eyes were sharper than a lot, it was hard to miss the large dragonborn pushing his way through people. She definitely recognized him as one of Raven’s companions, especially since Raven had told them about all of her companions the night before. She smirked as she watched the brute intimidate his way through the crowd, no doubt looking for Raven. She could mask them again, change the appearance of Raven, and make his searching that much harder, but that would risk suspicion of her purposely hiding the girl from them. Of course she could always talk her way out of that. It would be so simple, she’d made a scene the day before with the other two and Eris could claim she was disguising her for protection. Or she could claim Raven had pissed some off the night before, Raven didn’t remember much and would be easy to convince and Kaleb seemed to follow her lead. So simple, but they were headed to breakfast with that group anyways so no sense in stopping it. She could do something, though, and let Raven spot the dragonborn before he spotted her.

”I’m so sorry to interrupt you two, but I do believe there may be a dragonborn on the hunt for you, dear Raven.” She told the girl as she moved up beside the pair and pointed out Kharne. Raven blinked as she saw the man and she felt a bit sick to her stomach. How was Kharne going to react when finding her? She got a bit nervous, but she realized she couldn’t prolong it any longer. Time to face the music.

”Kharne! Over here!” She yelled to the dragonborn, waving at him.

Mika had been concerned that even with her explanation that Uzul still wouldn't accept to help her. Helping her would come with its own dangers, she knew this. She was moving against the people that had taken over her home. While the rightful heir, she was still playing a dangerous game. The twins had killed her brother, what would stop them from killing her or those who accompanied her if they found her? So when he agreed to guide her the relief she felt was immense. She wasn't surprised when he said he wished to discuss more, she wanted to make sure he knew these risks as well, but that would be better discussed in the company of the others. "Thank you, you have helped me more than you know. I shall not take too long." She told him as he left with a smile.

True to her word she didn't take much longer. While initially she'd planned to relax longer, she was too eager now that she'd found a guide. She got herself dressed in the outfit Slick suggested the day before. She looked like a strange desert princess, that is until she strapped her weapons to herself. She then walked out to meet Uzul, a smile on her face. "Thank you for waiting for me. We shall speak more of things, but first I have a breakfast date and I'd love it if you'd join me. Then you can meet the rest of those accompanying me and they can meet you. Then no one is left out of the loop." She informed him as she began to lead him towards the breakfast spot.

She took a brief moment to use her transmission bracelet to contact Rosaria. "Good morning! I am on my way to the restaurant, but I wanted to see if you could add one extra seat? We'll be having a guest joining us." When she was finished with that she looked back to Uzul, figuring they could at very least make small talk as they walked.

"So do you live here in Myriamor or are you just visiting as well?"

Raven and Eris both watched as Kaleb attempted to summon his powers, but nothing seemed to happen. Raven felt for him, knowing it was probably frustrating when you didn’t know what magic you had yet. She would have been very impressed if he was able to summon it like that, though, because even though she understood the concept of how it worked, Raven didn’t think she could truly summon it at will yet. The only reason she was able to throw the troll off Kharne was because of the adrenaline of the situation. ”We’ll figure it out, honestly I don’t think I could even summon my magic just yet at will either.” She said to him, trying to be reassuring as she got up and followed him out. Eris followed last, briefly glancing at at a candle within the room. She wasn’t positive, but she was sure it had changed ever so slightly as Kaleb expressed his frustration. She smirked a little to herself, but didn’t say anything as she followed the pair out.

Eris walked a bit behind the two, allowing them to converse amongst each other and just observe them. They were interesting creatures, so young and naive. These two were quick to trust as well which had Eris curious if other humans were too. She wasn’t going to place much faith in it because she knew as soon as she did she would be proven wrong. That was just how the world worked, she’d experienced enough of life to realize this. She just felt lucky she’d run into the two most naive humans possible.

Raven glanced over at Kaleb as he stated she was a cosplayer, now remembering when she told him that information the night before. She didn’t go into too much detail then so she figured it wouldn’t hurt to do so now. ”Oh! Um, yeah, it’s actually what I do as a living.” She said with a smile, happy to talk about her career and passion. ”I get hired by different cons to make appearances as different characters all the time. It started out just as a hobby and I would share my stuff on social media. Next thing I knew I had a following and people were requesting me to come to cons so they could get pictures with me and sometimes autographs. It’s kinda like being a Disney character in Disney World, but for adults.” She said with a small giggle. ”Though I guess it’s not just for adults, kids get a kick out of it too. I go to children's hospitals once a month dressed up and playing a character.” She knew it wasn’t the same as being an actor like him, but you did have to have some acting ability to do well.

”My most popular character is Harley Quinn. I’ve done her so much I’ve got her done really well. And here you thought I was just another bubble-headed blonde bimbo. Well jokes on you, I’m not even a real blonde.” She said, taking on her Harley Quinn imitation and quoting her at the end. She sounded incredibly similar to her and then Raven giggled again. ”Sorry, I’m a big nerd and I love talking about what I do.” She gave him a sheepish look as she shrugged.

”Uh, so, do you enjoy acting?”

Raven had been speechless as Kaleb explained what all had happened. She was an idiot, an absolute idiot. How many times had her mother told her not to assume things because it made an ass out of you? Her face was bright red as she tried to work out what to say. Thankfully Kaleb went on to explain to Eris what had happened while she was gone. ”I’m so sorry, you two, I’m a terrible person and just assumed things. Please forgive me.” She said quickly, obviously completely embarrassed. Good job, Raven. Great fucking job. She wanted to curl up in a corner and die right then and there.

Eris began shaking her head at the girl. ”You have no need to be sorry. It’s understandable you’d assume what you did. I should have made sure you were okay and knew what happened before leaving the room. That is on me.” She told her, giving her a kind smile. Kaleb then asked a question that Eris had the feeling she knew the answer too, but she decided to wait and see what Raven had to say.

”Oh, w-well, umm…" Raven stammered, grateful for the subject change yet also trying to decide how to answer. She didn't entirely know HOW to use her magic, but she had made the connection to emotions. It was your stereotypical way of discovering magic and likely why she didn't destroy the town yesterday when she blew up. Ever since the troll fight she'd kept it in the back of her mind that she needed to be careful with her emotions and watch for similar feelings she got when she'd first used her magic. Even while drinking she remembered to keep it at the back of her mind. "When I was dangling over the troll's mouth about to be...umm...e-eaten…" That was still a hard thing to think about, let alone say. "The rush of emotion and adrenaline caused the magic to erupt. It seems our magic is linked to emotions." She explained with a shrug and then noticed Eris nodding.

"Yes, oftentimes people discover their magic with their emotions. Even us elves have to be aware of this and were taught about it from little on. Emotions can cause for powerful displays of magic. It's like how adrenaline can make you stronger or faster than normal." She began explaining, creating three small orbs of light and making them do a little dance around the room. "But it's unpredictable. Relying on your emotions for your magic is a recipe for disaster because it's hard to control. It's okay to use emotion to jumpstart the process, get the feel of what it's like to use magic, but you've gotta latch onto that feeling and grow it from there. Magic is a very difficult skill to learn and grow, but given dedication…" She paused as she expanded her magic display, the orbs growing and morphing until it appeared like they no longer sat in the in, but were instead sitting in a beautiful place, very similar to the sun elf one. There were also three of Eris now, one sitting in the same spot she was before then one next to both Kaleb and Raven. They smiled down at the two humans. The one by Raven gently caressed her cheek while the one by Kaleb leaned down and kissed him on the cheek. Both actions gave the odd sensation of the warmth of being touched, something that could easily be mistaken as physical contact, but it was merely the warmth of the light magic. It was a trick Eris used to make her illusions even more real.

With a snap, the duplicate Eris' disappeared and the illusion broke as they were once again sitting in the inn room. "It can be a very powerful asset." She said, finishing her earlier sentence. Raven just stared at the woman in complete awe, briefly glancing at Kaleb and wondering if he knew she had such power.

"Now, shall we head to breakfast?" She asked after a few moments with a cheery smile.

Mika had been sitting there, looking rather defeated when she noticed someone else approaching her now. Her initial reaction was alarm as it was a very tall orc, but then she realized he may be able to help her and was filled with hope. She sat up a bit straighter as he sat down near her and she listened to him introduce himself, apologize for eavesdropping, but one of the last things he said is what caught her attention the most. A look of joy crossed over her face as she finally felt like things were about to turn around. ”Bless you for eavesdropping, Uzul. Oh I could kiss you right now!” She said excitedly, but then realized how she may have sounded.

”Forgive me, things have just been going poorly lately and just the fact that you’ve said you COULD get me to Dugmahord has made my day. You see I’m-” She was about to introduce herself, but quickly stopped as she realized perhaps that wasn’t the best plan. She glanced around briefly to see if there were any other listening ears. It seemed like they were the only two in there at the moment, but still best to proceed with some caution. ”Again please forgive me, but I have to be cautious about what I say due to listening ears.” She said a bit more quietly, trying to decide on how to proceed with the conversation.

”Due to…recent events in this world and the…death of some important people, one of which I was close to, I need to speak with the Grand Chieftain of Dugmahord. I’m hoping to become an acquaintance of his and see if he can help me get my home back.” She tried to to explain in a way that wouldn’t be completely obvious to someone passively listening, but hopefully would still get her point across to this man. ”Oh and my name is Mika, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” She gave him a kind smile, using the shortened version of her name so as to not be as obvious as to who she was.

Bowyn? Oh yes, Raven did remember Bowyn now that she was thinking more about it. He was quite the grumpilumpikus, but he became more enjoyable as he drank. She also recalled Eris paying for his drinks along with the rest of theirs. In fact, Eris had paid for quite a lot and didn't seem to bat an eye at it. Of course Raven didn't know the economy of this world, but she guessed Eris was rather well off with how she paid for things without second thought. She did say that Raven would need to pay her back for this new outfit, however. That was fine, she'd find some way to repay the woman for her kindness.

Kaleb continued, explaining how Raven was really drunk and ended up really just needing someone. She slowly pulled her knees up to her chest and hugged them tightly to her as a memory reared its ugly head. A bad breakup, the desire to forget things, drinking with a group of strangers from a Con, and then…"At least you're in a hotel room this time and not alone and naked in a forest." She mumbled, then realized she actually said that out loud. She quickly looked back up to Kaleb, unsure if he'd heard her or not. She laughed a little nervously, trying to quickly brush aside what she'd said. "Uh what I mean is this definitely isn't the worst situation I've been in...Not that this is a bad situation at all! Last night was a lot of fun! I just- it's-" Stupid, that's the word going through her mind. She was panicking because she didn't want to offend Kaleb and in her panic she kept digging herself a deeper hole. She let out a frustrated noise as she dropped her head to her knees, falling silent for a moment.

"I'm sorry, sometimes I suck at communicating. What I mean is I've had some bad experiences with being black out drunk and so when I don't immediately remember things the next morning I get scared. You'd think I'd learn, but I don't. I'm an idiot that's addicted to repeating the same mistakes." She forced herself to look back up at Kaleb, a smile on her face as if to say she was okay, but her eyes told a different story as she forced back tears.

Meanwhile, Eris had made her way down into the tavern of the inn. A familiar face was behind the bar and she beamed as she approached them. "Ruvyn, darling, how have you been?" The male elf glanced up and, upon seeing Eris, his face lit up. "Well my day just got a whole lot better now that I know you're here. Tell me, what brings you into town?" He asked as he leaned against the bar.

"Oh you know, the usual. Trade, fun, mischief." She smirked at the man who laughed at her antics. While she was teasing, she wasn't entirely lying. She was in the mood for some fun and mischief. "Well it sounds like a grand time. Well what can I do for you?" While he enjoyed seeing her face he knew she likely needed something. He'd seen her with two others the night before and had a feeling he could guess what she needed. "If I could get three coffees that would be marvelous, but could you make two of them your special hangover cure. I promise I'll compensate you for it." She gave him a playful wink which in return earned her a chuckle, but a smirk and nod. Soon enough she had three coffees, two of them laced with medium health potions to help cure those nasty hangover headaches. She slid 20 amas over to him as she scooped up the coffees, she left him with a promise of seeing him later before heading back up to the room.

"I do hope you two aren't having too much fun in here." She said jokingly as she entered the room, quickly taking note of everything. "My dear friend Ruvyn is down there right now and I couldn't be more pleased. He makes the BEST coffee that's said to cure hangovers in minutes." She said as she handed Raven one of the coffees, noting the look on her face. She then moved over to Kaleb, handing him one of the special coffees with a sweet smile before gracefully sitting next to him and sipping her own. "Hopefully I wasn't interrupting anything?" She asked as she looked between the two.
