Current Sad to say I'm currently experiencing Writer's Block. Luckily I learned Writer's Kung Fu and I can chop the block in half with my hands like Bruce Lee

Why is the sun like bread? It rises in the yeast, and sets in the waist. Haha! Isn't that so cute? Join my RP or more puns will come.

What's the difference between a Hollywood actor and a piece of driftwood? One is Justin Timberlake. The other is timber, just in a lake. Hahathisiswhati'mdoinginsteadofwriting

Hey, folks: I've just kicked off an RP, a fantasy where you can worldbuild as much as you can adventure. So if, like me, you like worldbuilding nearly as much as writing, check out Pilgrim's Caravan

That moment when losing a character in a rougelike makes you want to shed tears. No backup. It's gone.

Bio

Current RP I want you to join: roleplayerguild.com/topics/191461-car…

Hey y'all. I've been at this for about 10 years, and I've played a lot of kinds of RP. I like fantasy and sci-fi the most, just because they give me the most to play around with, but I'm cool with almost anything. I just like writing.

Just as long as that stuff doesn't stink up the ship. Sh!t somehow spreads like explosive gas.

Oh I know. I know everytime the neighbors are smoking. I bet Elm's neighbors, her assistants, everyone on the deck, and her assistant's assistants all smell it
@Tortoise By the way, a question completely unrelated to anything What is the I.S.A. position on weed on ship?

Banned Encouraged

Just kidding- for real, they would probably allow it off-duty.
@Xandrya

Weird. I blame pirates.

I'll send it again.

"Yeah, humans don't eat rodents. Well, except for rabbits. I think it's just novelty." Realizing that maybe someone as foreign to humanity as Korax needs a little more explanation, Nick adds: "People buy it because it's strange. New experiences, I guess."

Once they get down to Deep Solar 3, Nick does have the new experience of eating a fried rodent tail (on a stick!). It's not great. Okay, it's awful. But hey, novelty!

Nick and Korax's journey of novelty continues down into a smaller sub-wing of the station, where a lot of merchants have gathered. All sorts of goods are put up for sale here. Glittering jewelry, three-eyed alien pets, hand-woven rugs, salvaged electronics- the list goes on. It's rather crowded, and there's the scent of some kind of alien incense wafting through the air.

And somewhere in it, Nick spots a familiar face. "Hey, now that's a properly fried snack! Tomatillo is probably better than rat tail." Korax and him had ran into M'Elme Lan'thar, the Prize's resident expert on plant biology, and a plant herself. Carabello had reviewed her file before: she was competent, still young by her species' standard, and relatively new to the ship. Just like Nick, in a way. "You go by Elm, right? I'm Nick." He leaves off the 'Captain' part, because that title takes some getting used to. Still not quite comfortable with it.

"What brings you to this... what is it, a bazaar?" He gestures to the crowded, mercantile space around them, and smiles. "This place."
@Tortoise

Hey, did you read my message?

The one you sent the other day called "Initial Post?" Yeah, I replied to it a few minutes after you sent it.

I haven't gotten any message from you since then, though. As far as I know, that's the only PM you've ever sent me. So if you replied or sent a new PM, I haven't gotten it.
@Zanavy
I should ask: since Rod is RIP, are you going to be making a new character right now, or waiting until the next adventure starts?
Addressing: @Flamelord

"Oh, greetings," Carabello grinned back, with a glint of sarcasm at the formal language. "Yeah, I won't be staying on the Prize. I love her already," he ran his hand along the metallic wall, "but all the loud construction sounds bug me. You don't need to stay either- the starbase's team should be able to handle it." Nick hesitates. "Deep Solar 3 sounds fun. Did you know they sell some kind of fried rodent tail... on a stick?"

Alright, that was a stupid question. Whether Korax knew or not, he certainly didn't care. Silicon-nitrogen lifeforms probably can't eat fried rat.

Actually, what does a Khuxod eat? Ice? It occurs to Nick that he knows almost nothing about his First Officer. Captain Carabello had only been Captain Carabello for about a month. And Korax wasn't the kind of person he was used to dealing with- so formal, and a bit alien in his speech. It left Nick feeling like a stranger to his next-in-command. Maybe that should change.

"Uh, forget it. Do you want to come down to Deep Solar 3 with me?"
Tiny Update: @ShiningSector is now co-GM.
@Xandrya

Hah, sounds like she got into the Star Academy the same way as Nick. Did something rebellious, but got recruited for it instead of punished. Actually, since they're both around the same age and both went to the Academy- do you wonder if they could have met eachother before now?

Either way, she's accepted. You can drop her in the Characters tab.
Hi, so on the note of me not posting much, I've been having some super-hard Sci-Fi writer's block recently. I'm trying to read some Sci-Fi stuff to get over it, but... Yeah.

Oh, it's no problem at all. If you're still in the RP, we're in the "free time" in-between missions right now, so you shouldn't need to feel stressed about posting. You can just post at whatever pace you're comfortable with. Or not at all, if the block is that bad
