With Malkai's buff Catarina was able to keep up with the others fairly easily. She did let Vivian take the lead since she was the only one who could detect traps around this place, and while she is begrudging to admit it, Catarina's own panic likely would make things worse if she had to lead. They ran through the halls and rooms they passed, avoiding falling debris and obstacles in their path. Well the others did. Catarina had her shield out and was more than capable of deflecting or smashing her way through anything that stood in her way. Her final challenge however was something she couldn't simply crush: Climbing a rope. She knew how to do it and it was easy enough, but harder to do in full armor. But she had no time to waste trying to change into something more flexible. Going last, Catarina climbed up the rope as if her life depended on it, because it did.

The first thing Catarina noticed was that their camels and Jarvis' boar was gone. If she had to guess they fled when they felt the temple collapse. Or maybe that dragon ate them, who knows. Catarina didn't really think about it until they were safely away from the temple as it fell into ruins. Before one could say that the ruined tower stood mighty over the sands, but now it was just more grains in the dust. Barely a few minutes passed, and from a distance no one would have known that anything once stood here.

"Well! Glad we made it out alive. But now we have another issue." Looking around, there was no town or civilization within sight. It took them a good few hours to get here on camels; it would take them much longer to get back on foot. Sure they could still salvage what was left of their camp to survive the trek, but they didn't exactly have much for supplies. Jarvis was dead so there goes their portable source of water and food, unless Malkai also happened to be a cleric. Not to mention that if they tried to travel on foot, they'd likely get attacked by orcish raiding parties. She wasn't afraid of a fight every now and again, but they were easy pickings without any means of transportation. On the bright side, if they're lucky and they do get attacked by orcs, maybe if they survive the party could take the orc's camels, if they have any.

"I don't suppose you could summon that dragon here to give us a ride back to the city? I've traveled these sands before and I can assure you, it'll be at least a week's walk assuming we're heading in the right direction."

Elleonora did not know what she was doing in these god forsaken deserts. Her armor kept her incredibly hot so she had it taken down for the duration of the caravan she was riding on, putting it only when danger showed it self. Her plate chest piece and chainmail did indeed heat up fast under the scorching sun, but it was just how things were in these parts. She missed the north and it refreshing coldness already. At least her journey was to it’s end as they had arrived to a town. After quick check on where exactly they were with the caravan leader, she bid her farewell with the people from the caravan she traveled with and left to head into somewhere shady. A nice tavern was going to do nice for the day! She had it with the blinding hot sun of this place and wanted some nice shade.

Being very uncomfortable dressed for this region, she made her way through town, her metal armor giving off a beautiful shine, but forcing her to pour all her remaining water over her head so she can cool off a little.

“I should never had headed this way…” She mumbled, feeling the nice sensation of coolness as the water spread from her soaking dripping hair down to her shoulders and torso.

Keeping to the shadowy side of the streets, she walked in search for a tavern though it wasn’t the most successful search ever. She seemed to have dropped off in a area where there were none! At least she got to enjoy a change of scenery for a while… until she saw a bunch of thug looking men bothering a very fancy dressed… was that a bard? He seemed bigger than her, but Elleonora disliked thugs… disliked them with passion!

“I suggest you all leave…” The cleric stated, her huge battle hammer resting in her hands, ready to be swung at the slightest provocation. While she wasn’t the biggest height wise, her well trained body and sturdy northern armor certainly gave her a menacing and experienced feel." Or you can meet head first my 'lil' friend. What do you say?" She added with a smile and a nudge of her favorite battle hammer.

After giving Catarina the speed she needed to keep up with the others, Malkai and Falchion quickly left the catacombs. Malkai himself chose to take on the form of a Falchion himself, albeit smaller than his partner, and the two flew out of the ruined temple as soon as Vivian got the door open. They were the first to get out and see their mounts make a hasty retreat, even the boar. Once the other two girls finally managed to get out of the temple, the building collapsed and sent a shockwave of sand and dust all around, burying itself once more.

Malkai flew down towards the two girls before changing back to his human form, just in time for Falchion to land on his head. Catarina was quick to start pointing out their troubles, to which Malkai only sneered. ”You are a very frightened woman. It’s a wonder that you’ve managed to survive this long without a panic attack. As you may have figured out, I am a druid. I know of a species of elephant native to desert regions that I can transform into. I can carry you both for as long as I can, though I cannot remain in that form all day. As for food and water, I can create water and I know much of nature, enough that with time I can forage some vegetation while we travel. Just don’t expect meat on the menu.” Of course getting a ride from the dragon would be best, but that’s assuming he’s still around. And Malkai wasn’t going to hold out on the hopes of a dragon just swooping in and saving them.

First thing Malkai did however was salvage what he could from their campsite. Given that he didn’t have anything himself, Malkai had plenty of room on his body to collect more loot. He was certain that he could sell the orc’s greatsword and the dwarf’s hammer for a pretty pay, possibly even more than what he’d get for finding the Chalice. Of course, there was the chalice too. Malkai cared very little about the ghost who allowed them to take the thing. Regardless of its approval or now Malkai intended to take the Chalice and leave. It wasn’t as if there was any other options that didn’t result in their deaths. Still, the Chalice of Silence was indeed a powerful object. An anti-magic field was the bane of all and any spellcasters, and even though Malkai relied on magic himself, he could take on even the likes of an archmage if he had that chalice. But Malkai didn’t intend to pick fights against wizards, so he was more concerned about getting this chalice to the city in one piece, and getting his pay.

After looting what he could he returned to the girls and pointed his hand in the general direction of where the city was. He a pretty good sense of direction, and while they may have to wander a bit, Malkai was confident he could lead them back to the city. ”If we are done complaining and aren’t waiting for a miracle, we should leave soon. I’m more concerned about banditry than nature.”

Finally arriving to the city of Saphire, Veridis stretched his arms out and gave his prayer of thanks to Shelyn. He had taken a long boat ride to this gem in the sands, and it wasn’t the most pleasant experience. The boat was very crowded and they got attacked by pirates. Fortunately the ship was able to elude the pirates until the navy scared off the brigands. Thus finally being on dry land made Veridis happier than a dog with a steak.

But he didn't travel to Saphire to sightsee. Herr he would find adventure, friendship, and perhaps even love. A romanticized view, sure, but a man can dream. The best place to find a quest would be the taverns of course. Perhaps a peasant who would beg Veridis to save his village from raiders. Or perhaps a quest to delve into a dark dungeon and retrieve a sacred artifact. Anything was possible, though first Veridis needed to get to a tavern first.

Veridis then learned that the city of Saphire was very busy, and very crowded. He quickly found himself stuck in a mob of travelers, workers, and merchants trying to get somewhere. Veridis managed to escape the wave of bodies by ducking into an alley, bland much to his fortune he noticed signs leading to a tavern just on the other end of the alley. Veridis made his way over before he found more trouble. Or rather, trouble found him.

Stepping in front of Veridis were five young men, brandishing clubs and daggers. Behind him six more men arrived, one whom must have been part orc for he was massive, carrying a large scimitar in his hands instead of vicious dagger or sturdy club. They made their demands simple: Veridis would give them everything, or they would kill him.

Veridis was no coward. When those pirates came he was one of the few passages who took to the deck and got ready for a fight, rallying alongside the other sailors and traveling warriors. But Veridis was no fool either. He was surrounded and outnumbered. He could take out two, maybe three of these men, but he would be overwhelmed regardless. He needed to use his words and wits to disuse this situation before it got worse.

That’s when someone else joined Veridis’s welcoming party. A woman of northern origins, given her fair skin and armor designed. A traveler much like Veridis, who didn’t appreciate the thieves accosting him. This gave Veridis a good opening to try and scare a few of these thugs off. ”She is no mere beauty, gentlemen. She is a northern warrior, who has faced off against worse things than just brigands. Bears, ogres, dragons, and more. I have no doubt in my mind that if she could take that kind of monster with ease, people like you and me don’t stand a chance.” Veridis spoke confidently despite making a bluff. He didn’t know a thing about northern people, if this woman was really one. He wasn’t even sure if she was actually a warrior or not, though he did assume she was due to her armor and massive hammer.

”And just look at her equipment. Northern steel has always been forged to survive the clashing of steel, shattering weaker blades upon impact. Her hammer too is a weapon of mass destruction, capable of shattering glaciers that dare stand before her. Gentlemen, I can assure you, once she starts swinging your bodies will be glass to that hammer. But I am certain that this mighty warrior can show mercy, and I will hold no ill-will towards you if you simply leave in peace.” Veridis’s words slipped from his mouth like a fine wine, tasteful yet secretly intoxicating. Of course while he did let his words do most of the action, he subtly let his hand slide towards the handle of his rapier. If things still resulted in a fight, Veridis would not be caught off guard.

Vivian heard all she needed to know from Malkai. She ignored the freaking out of the woman Catarina. Was this woman always this stressed out? Did she not learn anything in the temple. Situations like this are meant to be taken calmly with a grain of salt. Freaking out about it only tired you out faster. Especially in a place like the desert. She agreed with Malkai. They needed to get this chalice to the mages guild fast and quick. There was no telling when another bandit attack against them would occur. She had no intentions of dying here and she was feeling mighty exhausted from all the spell casting she has done already. She moved to the druid and nodded. "Agreed, lets get going. No time to waste,... Anyone could have seen the dust from the temple. May even come investigating. Problem is,... it wont be the type that would help us." She voiced her opinion. It was time for them to leave. The temple was a fun test of her magic but right now. She wanted to relax some and where better then in a tavern or inn somewhere at the city of Saphire....

----
......Speaking of Saphire the city was bustling as normal. It was probably the most busiest city on the sands of the desert. With it having it's back to the ocean it was no wonder why. However, there was business to be had in the city. Not that many know of or take serious of. The uprooting of heretics... people who fancy demon worshiping or even witchcraft. The mages guild made it incredibly difficult seeing as some of their members delved into such things on a occasion. The church had tried to bring justice on them but the guild would just tell them they were not in their jurisdiction. So the church sent out a letter over seas to the main branch of their church for aid. That was three months ago and it had been answered. The order sent someone the church themselves did not expect. A Inquisitor.... Many people knew who she was the moment he came to shore. Well not her name just what she was. They could tell by the holy symbols on her black armor. She was dressed very differently then most would have imagined. Over her armor she had worn a trench coat and a top her long red hair she wore a brimmed hat. Her repeating crossbow and her long sword at her hips.

The woman moved not really demanding attention or authority,... not just yet. She wondered upon a familiar sight. A bard and a woman being picked on by a bunch of thieves. This did not come to her surprise. She didn't really care at first. The woman seemed she could handle herself pretty well. She continued to push forward to let them handle it on their own. Then she noticed something... she was on the wrong side of these buildings. The church was a bit farther north from here. She looked to the sky as she realized it. She then smirked and decided to intervene anyways. "Alright I don't care who started it but this ends here. You fools will move out of my way and scatter from here as of now...." She said. The thieves one by one turned their heads to the woman. Well their heads where already in that direction do to the other female in armor.

"What makes you think we will listen to you?" One said. She didn't even hesitate. Her hand moved up grabbing the grip to her repeating crossbow and aimed it in his direction and fired. The bolt being of decent size hit him right between the eyes. He was dead before he hit the ground. "Anymore of you fools want ask something stupid or should I kill you all right here and now?" She said. The bandits looked to their dead comrad and then back to her. They grew angry and ran towards her. With her free hand she grabbed the brim of her hat and tossed it up into the air as a distraction. She pulled the trigger three times bringing down three more of the bandits before brandishing her sword for close combat.

Catarina's face grew red under her helmet. They were mocking her! Sure maybe she is a bit paranoid at times, but unlike them she didn't have an easy way to do things. "Forgive me if I don't have magic to solve all my problems. While things like food, water, or survival might just be a trivial annoyance for you, it's the difference between life and death for me! I don't rely on magic so much that I can be complacent about mundane things like you two can." Not that she didn't want to rely on them. Everyone had their strengths after all; against those gargoyles Catarina was the only one who could really do anything meaningful to them, at least until Malkai turned into an elephant. And around this chalice of silence, Catarina could imagine how screwed spellcasters would be if it's effects were active. The worse that might happen to Catarina is that Domina won't be magical. But it'd still be a masterwork mythril bastard sword, and will continue to be one with or without magic.

After letting herself breath for a bit, Catarina eventually gave in and just let Malkai and Vivian do what they could. "Alright... Alright. Fine. Whatever, let's just get out of here and get our gold. That much we can all agree on."

Back in the city of Saphire, Parum had been browsing the various wares in the bazaar. Many exotic goods were being sold here, from spices to weapons to even things that are illegal in other countries, but freely traded here. During her time in the Merchant's Guild she learned that a city like Saphire was a high-profit location, and if the guild could get even one merchant to collaborate with them, their profits would jump up by 7%. Unfortunately for them however, the city of Saphire had it's own Merchant's Guild that has a stronghold on the market. But that was just business after all; while certainly beneficial it's not as if Parum's merchant guild needs connections in Saphire, and their current relationship to Saphire's guild was amicable enough that they trade between the two. And besides that, Parum wasn't here for business. She was here for adventure.

Parum had just traveled across the desert with a caravan, working as a temp merchant to be allowed on their wagons. She could haggle and barter with the best of them and certainly earned her keep. She even earned herself a bit of coin, though she spent most of it on the caravan's trade goods. Where a mercenary might be willing to take gold for payment, Parum was more interested in things she could sell off at a much greater profit. Honey, in particular. Not exactly a commodity in the desert, so Parum was certain she could turn a profit before the other merchants actually start selling. The first place she'd need to find is a tavern; with any luck the barkeep would know how to make mead, and thus would need some of Parum's high quality honey.

As she was looking for a tavern, the halfling girl came across a violent scene. It looked to be some sort of gang fight, but the fight was already tipping in the favor or a small group of foreigners. She could tell they weren't from here by the way they dressed: One wear heavy metal armor, another was just in layers of thick cloth, and the last wear black from head to toe. They would boil themselves alive if they traveled through the desert wearing those things. Parum herself settled for a simple yet useful silk robe; light and breathable, yet keeps the sun from burning her skin. Anyways, it looked like they got into some trouble with the local roughs, but it also looked like they were taking care of things. Interested in this rag-tag team, Parum watched from her hidden location, wondering how things would turn out. If she was lucky, maybe she could search the bodies for stuff to sell.

'Bears yes, ogres yes... dragons I have no memory of, but I get his game!' Elleonorah though with a smile, her heavy warhammer still being easily played with as she was ready for this to turn into an all out 'brawl'. These bandits were deserving of judgment! Those who gave in evil deeds deserved to be punished and she was going to do so!

The cleric was just about to start swinging when another voice appeared from behind her. She threw a glance backwards only to see a very tall woman dressed in all black with a repeater crossbow of all things. As the woman fired upon the bandits, the cleric realized what the newcomer was...' An inquisitor?' She thought to herself, wondering what was one of them doing here right now. This world was always full of surprises and adventures it seemed!

As 3 more shots were fired and the bandits charged the inquisitor, that put them right on Elleonorah's path. Without as much as a warning, the cleric swung her warhammer around, it impacting with the body of the closest bandit. The crushing of bones, the tearing flesh, the disgusting noises of battle echoed as his body was propelled backwards from the impact. His chest was completely caved in as Elleonorah swung her hammer again this time in a vertical position downwards, impacting with the leg of another bandit and practically flattening it into mush before the impact was transferred to the ground, cracking the pavement as the man started rolling on the ground from pain.” You've given in to evil acts! For that you shall be punished!” The woman stated, before bringing her hammer back up, preparing to do a swing at the half orc.” BULL'S STRENGHT!” She called the spell upon herself in preparation for imminent clash with the half orc.

Behind his mask Malkai simply rolled his eyes at Catarina's rant. He cared very little for the plight of the magically-deficient. While he could respect her desire for preparation, her panicking will only get her and everyone else killed. "If you're ready then, let's be off." Malkai took a few steps away from the others and transformed into a large elephant. Unlike the mammoth he took the form of inside the temple, this elephant was better suited for desert environments. Thick leathery skin to ward off sand and heat, large ears to provide shade, and lots of fat to give himself energy to trek for miles unending. Unfortunately this elephant form lacked the massive and deadly tusks of a mammoth, though he did have a respectable set of ivory in the event they get caught in a fight. Not to mention the other spells and abilities Malkai had in store.

As usual, the only thing that made it obvious that Malkai was not merely an animal was his mask; it looked much like how it was when he was a mammoth, enlarged and warped to fit his new face. It still covered his eyes and the side of his head, leaving his jaw and trunk exposed. He lowered himself down to the ground for the others to ride on his back. It wasn't the most comfortable area since it lacked a proper harness of any sort, but as long as they don't squirm they should be able to stay on. Once everyone was on his back Malkai proceeded towards the city of Saphire. It was going to be a long trek, but he was confident that they would make it within one, maybe two days.

Yet another fine woman arrived to greet Veridis and the others, introducing herself with crossbow bolts. Where Veridis tried to intimidate the others through possible harm they may come to if they fought him and the warrior from the north, the woman, who Veridis pegged as an inquisitor, went straight into shooting. She killed four of the rogues in a single volley of bolts, leaving the others five in front to Veridis and the warrior woman. The woman whom by the way pulverized the skull of one unwary thief, smashed the kneecap of another, and charged towards the large half-orc with a scimitar.

The other three were about to chase after the woman to flank her with their leader, but Veridis stopped them with a flourish of his rapier. The three rogues just barely managed to back away before getting sliced, their puny knives and clubs unable to beat the length of his rapier. Veridis looked quite confident, dashing even, despite the fact that fencing wasn't really his forte. The thieves tried to make ground, but a slight flick of Veridis' wrist made them back away. It was a stand-off; the bandits couldn't get close without one of them getting skewered, but if one could distract Veridis' blade long enough, the other two could flank him and overwhelm him. Both sides knew this and were merely waiting for an opening. And Veridis was the first to strike. With his off-hand, he snapped his fingers and pointed at the ground beneath the thieves feet. Suddenly, a layer of grease was underfoot, and all three fell onto their backs. Veridis took this opportunity to stab one in the hand holding a knife, disabling that hand, and stepped on the clubs of the other two.

"I beseech you to flee with your lives. I offer you this mercy once. I will not offer it twice."

Erika, The Inquisitor, took the time to kick one of her dead foes over while the others handled their own. The bard, quite handsome at that, took it upon himself to grant mercy to his three opponents while the other proceeded to take on the half orc. The woman seemed very capable and left her to defeat him. Once she did the other three would surely run then. He was the pack leader, and once the leader is killed the rest will scatter. She took note of the pendant the bandit was wearing and raised a brow. She caught her brimmed hat and placed it back on her head and holstered her crossbow. She then bent down and tore it from the dead man's neck and raised herself up to take a closer look at it. She smirked as she knew what it represented. It was the symbol of a bat. Signaling that these were probably thrawls... not your ordinary group of bandits but likely belonging to a cult of vampires. One of the reasons she was here in the first place.

"Halt!... whats going on here, and who are you?!" A guard said running up with his sword drawn while two more came to clasp the three bandits that the bard and subdued in irons. Erika looked to him and glared.
"I did not travel across the ocean to trade words with a worm like you. You damn well know who I am your offical's have likely told you already." She barked back. The guard looked her up and down and then gulped putting away his sword and bowing.
"I apologize Inquisitor Erika, I didn't expect you so soon." She sighed and rolled her eyes. She then looked to the half orc and rose her hand.

"Wait!,... don't kill that one just yet." She said. She approached the two warriors and stood beside the other female warrior. "Ugly,.. I want you to tell me where your cult has taken up residance here. You got a choice, either you tell me and these guards take you to a cell, or I let this woman bash your already ugly face into mush." She said threateningly.

The half orc of course did not bite. Not one bit. He growled and rose his scimitar up and was ready to swing at the Inquisitor but her endurance was that of a bear. Before he could even blink her sword was out and had swung in his direction. The last thing he saw was his hand falling to the ground still attached to the scimitar it had held. The look of fear and surprise went on his face. Then came horror and pain as he began to scream. He fell to the ground holding the stump. She looked to the woman and nodded. "Put the damned half breed out of our misery will you please,..." She asked. She then put a hand on the female warrior's shoulder and squeezed lightly. No more could she get from the half-orc. She moved to one of the arrested fools and looked him in the eyes. "Your turn... tell me what you know or you will be one less mouth this town has to feed." Her threat clear and true.

-----------------

Vivian sighed and was wondering if she should climb atop the elephant or not. She trusted Malkai more then she should ,but the speed in which they would reach the town would be slow... well it would be slow regardless with out some steeds. Damn animals... she knew they wouldn't be worth their grain of salt. She wondered if she had enough energy to summon another spider and then just cast permanency on it. Then she kept in mind how the towns people would act. Who knows maybe they wouldn't be too surprised. She shook her head and found herself climbing atop his back and let herself get comfortable and then looked down to Catarina. "I wish our Dwarf was still around. He could cast something on a object or something to make treching this desert much more better." She offered her hand to help her up. The quicker Malkai got moving the better. Bernard perched himself on top of her scythe and just waited.

“HAAAAAAA!” Elleonorah charged at the half orc, barely throwing a glance at the other bandits that quickly found themselves behind her back. She did notice the bards movement and assumed he was going to aid her by covering her back. If he didn't... well her armor would pretty much protect her from the budget weaponry these thugs had.

The cleric's clash with the half orc was violent and fast. She impacted at him at running speed, her hammer already in a swing. With her enhanced strength and the momentum from the hammer, the thug barely was able to her heavy blow. At her first strike at him for his luck, Elleonorah's strike was almost dodge and all she was able to do was swipe the tip of the hammer at his left hand. Still the sound of breaking was clear even through his half orcish body.

She had just swung again when she heard the inquisitor's voice, calling for Elleonorah to not kill the half orc. The cleric stopped her attack mid way, hammer halting just a couple of inches away from the thug's head. The inquisitor seemed to have questions to the half orc, so Elleonorah pulled her hammer back into initial stance as she watched and waited for the woman in black to finish her dealing with the thug. The fact he could escape into a cell if he cooperates was slightly annoying, but luckily he picked the second option. As his hand was cleanly cut off his body and the green light for the cleric to finish him was given, she smiled.

In a mighty swing, her hammer was raised above her head as she brought it down on the half orc's head. The impact was heavy enough to spatter anything the hammer met. The head was squashed into mush along with most of his upper body bones.” May you find peace in the hands of you maker.” Elleonorah muttered quietly, her hammer ready for another swing if she has to.

“You might want to answer her.” Elleonorah stated and looked at the next man the inquisitor asked for answers. She relaxed her arm, the hammer hitting the ground with heavy impact on the stones.” I can kill you fast... or I can pulverize your limbs until you talk... and if you don't we will simply move to the next one.” She added, raising the hammer with easy again.

Catarina got onto the elephant's back. She had to admit, while she has seen these creatures before, she's never gotten to ride one like this. Usually they are charging at her so that she's underneath them, not the other way around. Still, she's done her share of complaining now. With Vivian's help, Catarina got onto the back of Malkai and they rode off into the desert. Shortly after Vivian complained that at least if they had the dwarf, this ride would be less exhausting. "Certainly. At least if we had some water to drink so we can cool ourselves off." Catarina did have a waterskin, but it had only two quarts worth of water in it. It would barely last her to the night without a refill, though she remembers Malkai saying that he could always create water. But Catarina wasn't going to start relying on him, not now of all times. She was used to dealing with annoying allies and honestly, wouldn't mind if she never saw Malkai again. Vivian... Catarina wasn't certain how to feel about her. On one hand, Vivian certainly seemed nice enough. But on the other hand, Catarina couldn't bring herself to trust Vivian. Honestly, Catarina wouldn't mind Vivian as a lover and occasional ally, but even the warrior was wary around the drow. Vivian may say she's not evil, but she wouldn't have made it this far if she wasn't at least a bit treacherous.

Catarina didn't know how long they've been traveling through the desert. The sun was still up and from this angle, Catarina couldn't tell if it was setting or still at high noon. She had tried not to drink any of her water, conserving what little she has for emergencies only. But even after stripping off all her armor, putting it neatly into her backpack, she was still burning. Eventually she gave in and opened up her waterskin, but before she did she turned to Vivian, offering her a first drink. She didn't know why she did this; she just did. "Ah... Thirsty?"

Parum watched the fight. Well, it wasn't really much of a fight. It was a slaughter. The warrior alone was able to wipe out half the gang in her furious charge, taking on the half-orc alone before the inquisitor disarmed him (literally) and was finished off by the warrior. The bard wasn't too bad either; though outnumbered and using a weapon better suited for dueling than back-alley fighting, he was able to subdue three thugs with a single spell. Granted, Parum could have done the same with less effort, but points for trying. Soon guards arrived to arrest the thugs that weren't killed immediately. Parum didn't leave though; she wanted to see what these people were up to. Maybe with any luck, she could get herself involved. They seemed like an interesting, adventurous sort.

Malkai trodden through the desert in a linear path. He purposely avoided taking the main roads; a lone elephant was a ripe target for hunters and predators. Occasionally he spotted some packs of Hyenas, but a good roar kept them at bay. That being said, Falchion would occasionally land from his scouting and report to Malkai, giving him unfortunate news. 「Roaming orcs. Men, women, children, and elderly; may just be a clan. But they are large and close by, they have camels and attack dogs. There is no banner, so they do not have a war chief.」 Malkai was more concerned about the fact they were just there, even if they weren't a warband. Malkai has found that orcs are never friendly, even if they're just a nomadic clan. If anything, Malkai was in more danger from a clan of hunters than he was from a gang of warriors.

Not wanting to intercept the group, Malkai had to divert his path. However doing so would mean taking a bit longer to reach the city of Saphire, but he chose to do this just so they could avoid a fight. As he walked, he heard the two ladies on his back complain about the weather conditions, which got an elephant sigh from Malkai. Then he raised his trunk and poked the both of them in the chest. 「Endure Elements. Endure Elements.」 Malkai said in druidic as he gave the two girls that spell so the heat of the desert weren't so much of a bother. But just for himself, he also cast one more spell. 「Create Water」 Water came splashing down on Malkai to help keep him cool... Right on his back were Vivian and Catarina was, making them soaking wet. If only he could see them now.

With the thugs captured Veridis put his rapier away, fixing his clothes and looking at his saviors. That wouldn't have gone nearly as well if they didn't step in and help him. He was going to thank them properly when they seemed to have ignored him in favor of interrogating the thugs. This just made Veridis smirk. "Ah. Well, these women are certainly dedicated." Veridis decided that he could put his skills to good use and went over to talk to the thugs. As he walked up he did a quick hand motion as he just cast Glibness on himself, making him a superb liar, on top of his already quite high bluffing ability. "Gentleman, now that we're in a more comfortable setting, why don't you tell us your troubles and what you know about the city. As a newcomer, I would love a guide of the cities veritable population. I promise that if you cooperate, I will ensure these women do no harm to you. You may even be rewarded." Veridis sound so certain, so sincere, that even the two women who are threatening the men might believe Veridis's words. But such was the power of Glibness. He could claim that he was the secret king of the world and with this spell, his words would hold some merit.

Vivian wasn't like Malkai or Catarina who pretty much lived up on the surface world most of their lives. They were used to the sun and had it much better then she did. She had lived most of her live in the underdark and out here the sun felt like it was baking her from the outside in. It did not take long for her lips to feel dry and cracked as well. Then suddenly she heard the voice of Catarina offering her a drink from her canteen. She was very pleased with that thought and she also felt that the conditions got a bit better too. As if a certain druid just cast a spell to help them. She was almost caught in a moment with a smirk forming until suddenly. SPLASH. Malkai thought it would be funny to soak them with a water spell. It was likely meant for his own skin but still. She was soaked... Catarina was soaked. She began to notice just how the water glistened on Catarina's face and her wet hair. She looked rather appealing to her. The way her underclothing stuck to her skin and then it hit her... her own clothing was revealing as it was and wasn't very water proof. She looked down at herself and saw that her already revealing outfit was even more revealing. Showing a bit more then she wanted to. She sighed and was thankful that being a drow her dark skin would hide the embarrassment shown on her face. She might as well be naked for the clothing pretty much revealed what was underneath now that it was wet. Sticking to her own skin and she looked up at Catarina and smirked. "Well things just got interesting....." She said and wanted to take up that offer about the water skin. When she took it she looked inside and saw that there was not very much. A few drops more in it then it had do to the water sports but still... she was afraid this wouldn't last them tell they reached a civilization. By civilization she meant something not tribal. Right now she was beginning to wish she had followed her mother's path and took up being a cleric then a sorceress. She also didn't want Malkai to keep using the water spell either. Even he would have his limits and the last thing they needed was for him to suddenly collapse from exhaustion do to them.

She still did not want to offend Catarina by not taking her little gift and took a tiny drink from the canteen. Not a whole lot just enough to get some moisture in her dry mouth. She even swished it around before swollowing. With that she handed the canteen back to Catarina. "Thanks,... my gratitude is all I can give at the moment. It is not much especially from the likes of me." She said. She figured the trust among the group was still empty. She was drow after all and she wouldn't blame them for still looking at her with suspicion. That reminded her... she needed to rest so she would have enough energy to cast her disguise spell when they got close to the city. She did not want her appearance to be known after all. "Malkai... I plan on resting for a bit. Let me know when the city is in sight. My kin will never be welcomed in civilization. The moment they see me I will be doing more damage then good." She said. The city would fire their arrows at her in a instant they spotted her true self. No second thinking...

-------------

The criminals were still silent,... well two of them where. They were more afraid of their master then her. However, the third.... with the efforts of the bard and the lady with the hammer. He burst his guts out. They apparently scared him more then their master.

"... You promise you can protect me?" He said asking the trio. Erika rose her chin up her eyes narrowing at the man. She looked to those around her and then back to him and nodded.
"You have my word,... now tell me what I want to know and you will be under the protection of my order." She said. Whether she was telling the truth or lying couldn't be told. The bard was some what right.... she would not stoop to the level of some bandit and kill the three of them if they told her or not. She would keep her word. If they told her,.. she would keep them safe.
The man gulped and nodded. "Thank you,... we belong to a vampire named Wilhelm. As for his actual location... I don't know that. I never really meet him. He always sent one of his other pawns to meet us here in the city." He looked up at her and then to the bard. "I can tell you where we were meant to meet with this pawn though. Perhaps he can tell you where he is located." The man spoke. Completely believing the trio. Well he wouldn't have at all if not for the bard's spells and voice. How could such a face ever lie.

Erika smiled and nodded. She then bent down and patted the side of the man's face. "Now was that so hard?..." She said. She then looked to the city guards. "As promised he will be under my order's protection. Take him to the monastery. When asked tell them Erika sent you and this man. He is a witness and a source of information on the heresy that is taking place here." She said. The guards nodded and headed on there way. She then turned and faced Veridis and Elleonorah. "Thank you for your aid in that,..." She sighed and put her hands to her hip. "No point in hiding why I am here. Well it is pretty obvious... why would a inquisitor be all the way out here." She then tossed the pendant she took from one of the dead outlaws to Veridis. "That is the reason why I am here. I have been hunting down the master of this vampire cult for some time. All the way back to the land I came. I got pretty close to removing this Wilhelm's head from his shoulders. However, he pulled a fast one on me and ran like the coward he is. After much hunting and searching my investigation has lead me here. To this city." She looked around noticing the eyes that where upon her. She then looked back to the two of them. "Too many eyes here... how would you two like a free housing at the monastery. It is the least I can do for you two helping me." She said. She then began to move past them, but she stopped right close to Veridis and then looked to him. With a much closer look she clarified one simple thing....

"You are too much for this city,... with a handsome face like yours it is no wonder you were hit by outlaws." She said. She tilted her hat at him and kept moving. Whether they took up her offer for free steading or not was up to them.

The moment Catarina stuck her waterskin out for Vivian, Malkai used some sort of spell on the both of them. Suddenly it felt less hot and much more bearable. She wasn't even all that thirsty anymore. But then he had a bunch of water splash on Catarina and Vivian both. It it wasn't refreshing, Catarina would have been pissed. She didn't stay quiet though. "Kya! Stupid oaf! I swear if I had my weapons on me I'd stab you!" Followed with a chuckle, Catarina didn't really mean it. But she did stamp her feet against Malkai's back ineffectively, knowing that she wasn't really going to hurt him.

Vivian too a drink from Catarina's waterskin, mentioning that her gratitude was all she could give. And for a drow, that wasn't much. Catarina didn't really have a responds to that. If she was anyone else, Catarina would have said something like "It's alright, I trust you" or "I'm your friend, you don't owe me anything". But she couldn't. Vivian has so far proven to be nothing but loyal and dedicated to the group... And for a drow, that was odd. Maybe it was just Catarina being paranoid again, but she swears that Vivian was up to something. Vivian mentioned resting up for a bit to Malkai, making Catarina really wonder just how much trust was being passed around. For Vivian to go to sleep right now, she was making herself vulnerable to anyone who wants to take advantage of her. Not to say that Catarina wanted to, yet...

Looking over at Vivian, Catarina noticed how soaked she was. Those thin strips of cloth she calls "clothes" did nothing to protect her modesty. Catarina could see Vivian's bare skin through the wet strips, every bump and curve on her lithe yet supple body. Her skin, despite being darker than most, was like a beautiful ebony. Indeed, her body was beautifully shaped as if she was carved from wood by a master craftsman. Vivian's wet hair was as dark as night, but the water droplets reflected light as if they were stars. Catarina's breath quicken before she realized she was starting to become... Lustful. Averting her eyes Catarina drank what little of the water she had left, trying to focus more on other, more important things than Vivian's tantalizing body.

"It's a trick. That's how they get you. Kind words, a pretty face, a gentle touch... Don't let them use you again Catarina. You're better then that. You've already learned your lesson." Catarina said quietly to herself. She remembered a moment a short while ago, Catarina thought she was in love. But there was no love, just lust. Catarina gave herself to her lover and thought they were going to be together... But the morning after, Catarina was left cold and alone. She should have known better, she has seen similar things happen to her mercenaries she worked with. She joked at their expense at how they were tricked by a common whore out of their wages, but Catarina fell for the same tricks. She should have known better, but her own naivety thought she knew exactly what she was doing. but she wasn't going to make that mistake the second time.

Finally calming down, Catarina tried her best to keep watch. She tossed a silk blanket over Vivian to protect her from the sun as well as to make her comfortable. Catarina didn't know if drow skin gets sun burnt, so if it didn't at least the blanket would make for a decent pillow case. After that Catarina took her crossbow out, loading a bolt, and kept watch for any enemies on the horizon.

Parum watched with great interest as the inquisitor and company interrogated the lowly thugs. While most kept their mouths shut one was willing to spill the beans about their vampire master. This was getting very interesting: Perhaps these thugs didn't merely intend to mug the handsome stranger, but also bring him to their master for feeding or slavery? Additionally, Parum was rather amused that there was a vampire living in a desert city. Perhaps the absurdity of such a thing is what has allowed the vampire to survive this long. Parum continued to eavesdrop, hearing the name of the inquisitor and her quest. Vampire slaying was no small task. Not only are vampires themselves powerful foes, but they often had many minions and lackeys of considerable strength. At least stronger than these thugs here.

By the time Erika and the others had left the alley, Parum was gone. Based off Erika's outfit and purpose the halfling merchant could guess which monastery they were staying at, though it helped that Parum had followed the guards all the way back while they were escorting the prisoners. Parum didn't know where this "Wilhelm" person was or the pawn, but Parum knew this city well. Sure she may have just showed up, but Parum would never go somewhere she didn't know the in's and out's of. Parum's knowledge of the local area was so great that she could easily pretend to be a local, which is exactly what she intends to do when she meets the inquisitor. While Parum didn't have magic, she was still a great bluffer and has lied even in a zone of truth. Well, twist the truth, but essentially the same thing to her.

But before she would meet the inquisitor, Parum needed to do some trading. If they were going to hunt vampires, they would need vampire hunting tools. And Parum, being the extraordinary merchant she was, knew exactly where to get them at the best price.

Elleonorah’s eyebrow rose slightly at the man’s words about keeping her and the inquisitor from harming the thugs anymore if they talked. Sure enough if the captives talked they were at least going to be spared, but that was at least on Elleonorah’s part. In agreeing to talk and serving their time, the thugs could very well take their first step towards redemption. She knew more than a few people who at a point in their lives were prisoners and found religion and redemption. Who knew maybe these thugs would be the next ones… though not likely.

‘Ahhh… vampires… that blight upon this world…’ The cleric thought at the man’s story. They were a danger that needed be exterminated as soon as possible. Allowing a vampire to gain a foothold and build up power was a danger beyond measure. She personally had not clashed with those undead monsters, but she had heard more than a little bit about them.

“You are welcome.” Elleonorah stated as she softly lowered her hammer, placing the hammerhead on the ground, using the long hammer’s handle to lean her elbow on. “ I will not refuse... It’s not everyday one gets such an invitation. Besides I’m already short on funds because of my travel to this town…” The cleric said with a smile, picking up her hammer again, and slowly placing it on her shoulder for easier carrying.” What's more I really want to hear more about this mark of yours.” She said, being what she was, Elleonorah couldn’t leave this matter alone.” Might be able to help.” She added and quickly followed after Erika.

Malkai smirked in elephant form after hearing Catarina’s threatening remark. He knew she was just playing along and thus afterwards reserved making water over his head only. It was a simple spell he could use almost indefinitely, at least with short breaks in-between each casting. Falchion made sure to keep Malkus up-to-date about the surrounding areas beyond his eyesight, ensuring that they avoid any trouble over the sands. It was going to be a long and tireless journey… Might as well make small talk.

”Catarina, where did you find your weapon? Ever since we first met I noticed a strong magical aura from it. I cannot imagine that you could afford such a thing with a mercenary wage.” Not that Malkai was trying to insinuate that Catarina was poor (though he wouldn’t care if she thought as much and was offended), but he was curious about where she managed to get a holy sword. While good-aligned weapons are, for the most part, common amongst clergy or savvy adventurers, a holy weapon was something far stronger. A good-aligned weapon was merely dangerous against the forces of evil, but a holy weapon was the bane of evil. Little wonders that she was able to make short work of the gargoyles despite simply relying on her martial prowess, and all the more reason Malkai wanted to know where she found her weapon.

Veridis was pleased that he managed to get at least one of the thugs to cooperate. What he said made the bard raise an eyebrow; he served a vampire lord. This made Veridis wonder if the thugs merely intended to rob him, or if they wanted to take him to become the vampire’s thrall. Or worse, meal. Still, with the thugs subdued Veridis was safe. When the rogues were taken away by the guards the inquisitor, whom Veridis assumed was named Erika, explained her purpose here. ”Vampire hunting? How exciting! Ah, but I should thank you. The both of you, really.” Veridis smiled and bowed his head towards the both of them. ”My name is Veridis Quo, a traveling minstrel and occasional adventurer, at your service.”

Erika, not wanting to talk about the sensitive subject of Vampire Hunting out in the open, offered lodging at the monastery. Veridis guessed she meant the Temple of Pelinor, based off the holy symbols on her clothing. Today was just getting better and better; Veridis was slightly worried that he was going to have to pay top coin for a dirty hovel to rest in. While a monastery isn’t exactly known for it’s sterling living accommodations, it will at least be clean and safe. But as Erika was walking pass Veridis, she whispered what seemed to be both a compliment and a warning into his ear. Not the first time someone pointed out his appearance made him an easy target, but that’s where the fun lies. Before Erika walked away, Veridis had his own quip for her.

”Always fun. Maybe this face of mines could become closer with a body like yours, hmm?”

Chuckling, Veridis did chose to follow Erika and the warrior woman from before. He would have liked to wander through the city and explore a bit more, but he was slightly afraid that he’d get attacked by another gang of low lives. At least if he’s with the Inquisitor and the Warrior Woman, the odds of surviving such an encounter would be higher.

Vivian felt herself drift into a dream. It was a dream of the old days she had back deep in the underdark. She found herself standing in the center of a large chamber. Many of her brothers and sisters were in the room as well. However, something caused them to leave her side. They all stepped back separating themselves from her. She found out to be the cause was her mother. She had a finger outstretched and pointed at her. "You have failed me for the last time Vivian,...You and your pet have once more failed to locate your traitorous sister Cassandra. Not only did she escape from you but in the process caused every member of your squad to be slaughtered by what I am told was a giant basilisk. Your magic should have been more then enough to battle it, yet you and your team failed. Your men petrified." Her mother said. Vivian gulped and looked around. None of her so called family stepped up to defend her. She then stomped her foot on the hard floor. "Mother I am not as skilled in sorcery as you believe I am. I was not ready for a mission yet! Had I studied more in the library I would have succeeded." She yelled back. Her mother sat back on her throne and smirked. She then laughed and then looked to those around Vivian.

"This my sons and daughters is what one looks like when they have utterly failed. Look at her and study her. See how she has fallen and learn from it. Do not follow down her path... or suffer her fate." She said. As she spoke Vivian's eyes widened and she brought her scythe up ready to defend herself. Her mother then rose up a hand into the air. "The one who kills her will take her spot..." She continued and Vivian could feel her heart ache. She was about to get ready to swing her scythe ,but then her eyes opened and she was back in the desert. She sighed and wondered if she would ever be able to sleep perfectly again. She awoke to what would seem like chatter among her two companions. A simple one of one about Catarina's weapon. The sun was also in the process of turning the night sky black again as it came down over the hill. It was still several good long miles away but the light of the city could be seen. It would still take them two days to get there. Well make that one day now seeing as this one was about to end. However, with the sun going down it cast shadows from the hills. Making somethings invisible to creatures not accustomed to the darkness. Not like the way she was. However, the light that remained made it impossible for her eyes to adjust so even she was useless. She did see something she recognized. It was a familiar scene to all off them. All of them that remained anyways. Except something was missing. The blood remained and one body that was cut in half, but the other corpses were gone. She rose a brow and rose up from her spot. The orc bodies where gone.... maybe the sands covered them. Yes that had to be it... the bodies couldn't have just gotten up and moved. She then pulled from her hip the chalice. She then recalled the temple of Nerull and then back at the spot.

She sighed and shook her head. Not our problem right now. Our problem was to deliver the chalice to the mages guild and get paid for it. Not go instigating something that did not concern her. Malkai would likely call her stupid or something. She then turned her head and could see something hiding in one of dark shadows of one of the hills. The shadow wasn't too dark and she could see something,... shiny. Then it moved and was once more seen. It must have spotted them because it began to move out of the sand. The thing was an orc but something was wrong about it. As they got closer to the position a foul smell of rotten flesh began to find it's way to them. She narrowed her eyes as if trying to pick up what it was.

Falchion would see it as a walking buffet of carrion. A dead orc still moving. It dragged along with it the weapon it died with. A great axe. The orc zombie wasn't alone as more began to emerge. Something wasn't right here... as if something came along and brought their dead back to life....

"Um guys do you see that?"......

-----------------------------------------

Erika smirked at his response to her warning. He was a tempting little snack but now was not the time to induldge herself in such things. Perhaps later though.... "Well then,... perhaps we will revisit that question another day, Veridis." The great temple of Pelinor was something. She wondered if this branch would be just as breathe taking. Unless the shit that grew from this city has stained it with their dirty hands. Okay I will admit that not everyone here is dirty. Some are clean and just trying to live their days as much as they can. Not all of them did so by the rules though. Some resorted to pickpocketing but that was not her concern. It was who they prayed to when they lost hope and need more of it. Who did they turn to.... Pelinor?..... if they had prayed to any of the other gods that are considered good then she wouldn't be here. Some of them worship another god... the signs of the vampire's foothold here was a good sign of that. Thugs hitting people in the streets. Not just any bloke but one that looked like he might have been carrying a lot of coin or perhaps something their master fancies. The bard is a lot of eye candy even for her tastes. Something a vampire would more then be happy to sink his pointy teeth into. And whose to say this Wilhelm is even at the top of the food chain. He could just be a spawn. Or he could have spawns. Questions she would ask of the priests. The church's dispute was with the guild but unless this vampire has connections to the cult she wouldn't even get involved in that.

The eyes of the people were most certainly upon them too. She did not think she was the one that they were mainly eyeing though. She bet the bard attracted a lot of it. Perhaps the warrioress with the hammer too. Clerics were really something. They all liked hammers or maces. Never swords or axes but things that were devastating. Then again... a sword wound can be survived. If a hammer or mace hits you with enough force it could leave you with a wound or pain that you will always be reminded of when you sit or move or internal bleeding. Wonder if the hammer was a holy weapon... god knows these two were going to need one if they were to join her in this vampire hunting. "By the way,... you are to not tell anyone about why I am here. If people found out that there was a possible vampire in the city they would panic... and not only that lynch the wrong people. I have seen it happen before.... its how he got away from me before. He got away while I was forced to clean up the mess of a city turning on itself..."

"My weapon? From one of my enemies of course. A ex-paladin, who had gotten it into his head that all elves must die. I was hired to protect a caravan of elvish trades from him, and when he came around I fought him. He broke my original sword, but I managed to disarm him and kill him with his own weapon. In an ironic twist, I think this sword grow more powerful when I used it against him... I guess when a holy knight falls, he falls hard." Catarina wished she had a better story, but that was it. The fight wasn't even that long; the paladin fought more like a barbarian than a knight, just swinging his weapon at Catarina with reckless abandon. When his sword got stuck into a tree, that's when Catarina was able to knock him away from his sword, tear it out of the tree, and cut him in twain.

They were making good time. Despite Catarina's worries that it may take them weeks, due to Malkus's unceasing march, they were able to make it within the day, albeit into the night. But the city was within sight at least, so Catarina had nothing to complain about. She noticed Vivian stirring and this time Catarina wasn't so embarrassed at her, since her clothing had dried up in the sun. "Good morning. Or rather, good night. Looks like you just woke up right as we're near the city. I'd say it's about an hour or two off, assuming we don't run into anything on the way." As if the universe wanted to spite her, Vivian asked the others if they could see something in the distance. Due to the setting sun, Catarina couldn't see too far, so she had to take out her binoculars and look. It was hard to make out the details in the dark, but it looked like... Orcs. And smelled like trouble. Actually, it smelled like death.

"It looks like orcs, but... Dammit. I seem more coming from the sands. They're coming slowly... I think they might be undead." Catarina had heard tales of the desert sands bringing the dead to life, haunting the highways and seeking the living to join their ranks. Considering that they had just left a temple of Nerull, it didn't take Catarina long to guess that this wasn't just a myth. "Malkai, do you think you can outrun them? I don't have enough time to suit up, but I can pick them off with my crossbow." Sure enough Catarina took a seated shooting position, trying to aim at the zombie in the distance. It was going to be a hard shot due to Malkai's rocking and the distance, but if she was lucky maybe she could take their head off before they could get into melee.

Night was coming and Malkai was starting to feel rather fatigued. He had been walking the whole way, and while he kept himself hydrated and made sure not to hustle, it still took a toll on him. Fortunately the city was within view, and Malkus was certain that he could arrive by tonight before he’d give out. Shortly after seeing the city Vivian awoken and mentioned seeing something in the distance. Unfortunately Malkai’s eyes weren’t sharp enough to see from his position, but Falchion was more than able. He both saw and smelled the corpse coming nearer, and flew down to Malkai to warn him. 「Corpses. Slow, but there are many of them coming out from the sands. What will we do?」

Malkai thought about it. He wasn’t too exhausted that he couldn’t fight, but even in this form he wouldn’t be at his best. Catarina and Vivian should be safe from the undead’s attacks so long as they stay on his back, but that just means Malkai would have to take the brunt of the attacks. While Malkai was certain that Vivian had enough spells to destroy most of the undead, he wasn’t certain how skilled Catarina was with her crossbow. She’d be better fighting off the undead on foot, but that puts her at risks of getting overwhelmed, not to mention there was no time for her to don armor. Catarina suggested outrunning them and Malkai was inclined to agree. If they had the cleric here they may have a fighting chance, even if Malkai is tired, but without one it’d be best to minimize the risks. ”I will do my best. Slow them down however you can. I will rush towards the city, and once we reach it the town guards can fend off the dead.”

Malkai proceeded to take the shortest route to the city that didn’t involve running through zombies. And though he was tired, he also used two spells: one to help him move faster and another to slow down the undead. 「Longstrider! Entanglement!」 He shouted out in druidic, albeit bent for the more beastial tongue of an elephant. Longstrider imbued his legs with extra speed allowing him to run faster than he normally could, and he used Entanglement to make the weeds and cactus in the desert tangle up the movements of the zombies. He didn’t expect his spell to affect all of them or for it to hold them off forever, but it should stop some of them long enough for Malkai get too far for them to chase. He could only hope that they weren’t strong enough to run, because unlike him the undeaf won’t tire out and might just pursue him all the way to the city. ”Hang on tight!”

Veridis followed Erika in relative silence. It goes without saying that he shouldn't blab about information as important as possible vampires in this city. But as a bard it was practically his obligation to weave and recite these epic tales and adventures. Of course it'd be best to do that after the a venture had been concluded. He had no idea how this story may end, And for all he knows it could have a tragic one.

That being said, while Erika reminded them to keep the information about the vampire quiet, her outfit and demeanor made her stick out like a sore thumb. She was quite intimidating and indeed a fearsome fighter, but if she wanted to keep a low profile, Veridis was certain that she had failed. While perhaps the common rabble didn't know how to identify an Inquisitor on sight, no doubt the spies of the vampire know what to look for. They may have already noticed Erika and warned their master for all Veridis knew. He didn't speak up however, figuring that it was too late for her to change now. Perhaps he'd bring it up once they were safe within the temple, but for now he simply followed.

He did have a question, but not for Erika. He turned his head to the warrior woman, who was still a stranger to him. A friendly one without a doubt, but if he wanted to be more than strangers with the woman, he would like to at least know her name. ”I don't believe I've caught your name. I would love to know more about a powerful woman such as yourself.”

'Great... guys get a room.' Elleonorah thought with a smirk as she watched the bard and the inquisitor hit it on with some flirting. Well the woman didn't really agree nor refuse and the cleric had the suspicion that those two might indeed end up in a bed together eventually in the future. Frankly it wouldn't surprise her, stuff like this often happened quick, especially if the male was this handsome, beside Erika was pretty good looking too.

“No need to worry about me then. Not my first time in similar situation...” The cleric replied to Erika with a smile.” Contain the panic to contain the danger. That said it's entirely possible for the target to leak the information if he wants to hinder you. What do we do then?” The cleric asked, throwing a questioning look at the inquisitor.” Well I can pretty easily stop any brawl from happening and a riot is easy as long as there is something big for me to break nearby, but if things got hectic to the point where all control is out the window, how do you plan to deal with that?”

She then was addressed by the bard. 'Damn... he really is beautiful.' The cleric thought with a smile before nodding at his words.” True, I haven't introduced myself yet, have I?” She said and made a disappointed expression.” Where are my manners. Ahmm... My name is Elleonora Alnara, a cleric and adventurer. You can call me El or Elleon, or any other variation really. You think of something, I've probably already been called that by someone. Besides that I've traveled all across the north in search of people to aid and baddies to deal with. Some months back I got the urge to go south so here I am.” She explained to the bard with a smile.

“Also this little thing here is Bianca...” She said and lifted her battle hammer.” And before you start wondering, I didn't name it. The smith who forged her did.”

Erika tilted her head and shrugged as she guided the two through the alleyway and into the main street heading towards the monestary. "Chances are the enemy has already spotted me,... but not even he would waste such a tactic already. He will most likely use it as a last resort. For now I will not worry about that." She said. First things first is the Order would have to take full control of the cities guards and any form of military they have here. Hopefully the vampire didn't have any of them in his pocket or else things would get even more complicated. She sighed and removed her brimmed hat letting her red hair flow in the breeze. The red hair would have shined even more if there was any sun to shine on it. The sun was almost hidden from sight now. If a vampire was to strike at her now would be the best time. However, this vampire was a coward... he would send his goons to do it instead. Perhaps he already did and they mistook her for the bard. She smirked at that... seeing as the group was lead by a dim witted half orc.

She put the hat back on as they were in reach of the gates. Two guards where in place, but they were not that of the city guard. They were decked out in white armor trimmed with gold and wielded glaives in similar fashion. "Halt,... state your business." They said looking to her. Then ones eyes widened as he got a good look at her. "Sorry inquisitor,... enter right away." He said his arm outstretched and pushing the gate door open for her and her two friends to enter.
"Worry not Knights of Pelinor, these two are my assistants" She said. Both nodded and let Elleonorah and Veridis follow behind her. As soon as they entered the monastery the gate was closed behind them. She turned and looked to the two of them. She then began to look them up and down. "Hmm... bard your specialty is song so I am not too worried about you,... but you Elle." She said, already giving her a nickname. "That hammer is great but vampires and several of his minnions may have fast healing abilities so it will not be that great.... perhaps a trip to our armory might get you suited up with one of our holy hammers." She said.

She nodded and turned back and lead them deeper into the monastery. They were soon greeted by a couple of priests. " Hello brothers, mind you escort these two to some rooms. Make sure they are well tended to." She said. She then once more looked to them. "Now,.. I will join you two in dining halls in a bit. I am going to debrief and inform the headmaster of this monastery of the upcoming conflict and the why I am here." She explained.

Vivian was a little more rested now so she was up for a few spells to be set loose. However, she did not see how much she could do because with the entanglement spell slowing the majority of the undead down. Even pinning them to the ground. Some where even being dragged underneath the sand. She decided to help out by casting a spell which turned the sand into mud causing a good sized sink hole for the undead slowing them down even more. It was all she could do for now and when she saw the city getting ever closer she was beginning to think she should cast her disguise spell. With the cover of night it would be hard for guards to determine what she is to a degree. Her hair and eyes and ebony skin was still a dead give away though. She sighed....

.... She decided to wait a little while longer before finally casting the spell. It changed her back to the beautiful elf she was before. Blond and blue eyed with pale skin. She looked to the others and hoped they wouldn't backstab her and turn her into the guards. Hopefully there was no large reward for drow prisoners because she doubted Malkai would pass up the chance to make a good amount of money too.
