Through the thin veil that seperates this from that, the tiniest of puncture for the shortest of moments, not enough to be noticed but just enough to be used. Into unknown darkness, falling through and endless, starless and soundless pitch, with no up or down, no day or night, a perfect void. Then, after what felt like an eternity but was truly not more than a mere instant, you see it. A light. There, in the distance, flickering faintly like a candle about to be extinguished by the mildest of gusts... Closer it draws, on the verge of vanishing but never quite doing so... Then, without warning, it is suddenly upon you. Right in your face. You crash into the bright, ever-changing spectrum of swriling colors which overloads your senses like a psychadelic fit!

... Then, there's nothing.

... Followed by the softly intensifying chirping of birds... And... A blue sky.

Some Forest...

It is a little prior to noon. The sun has not yet climbed to its zenith in the sky, a sky populated by wispy and lazily sailing clouds of thin white strands. The green, lush grass on the ground is soft and pleasant, with a bit of moisture and the scent of summer on it. The melodic chirping and tweeting of various birds can be heard all around, from the trees and the bushes and the rest of the underbrush too. An idyllic and peaceful moment on a quaint and slow summer day.

... If not for, y'know, these guys...

There, lying sprawled on their backs in a variety of ways, is a group of humans. From different walks of life, from different parts of the world. All female, and all dressed in ... What are those!? Did a cosplay-convention or club or something fall asleep while out on a camping trip? At the moment, they're all just lying there, their backs on the ground and their eyes closed. But... Sooner or later, one - or all of them - will wake up.

So, let's take stock of what they'll be greeted by when they do.

They're in a little clearing, covered in grass, shrubs and some wildflowers... Unfamiliar flowers at that. There are about two or three larger rocks or stones, a fallen, hollow log and ... That's about it. There are trees though. lots of trees. In every direction. Some of them have oddly green-ish bark though... Not the more common brown color, which most of the other trees seem to sport. Some of the leaves are also strange, having yellow-orange-y fringes or edges... Yup. These sure aren't the kind of trees you'd see back home! At least not all of them. Many look fairly standard and garden variety...

For now though, the group of girls seem to be alone. No other humans or animals seem to be snooping around the glen. Which is probably a good thing, for both social and survival reasons. Except for the songs of birds, the first thing these lovely ladies will see when they wake up... Is each other.

"U-urgh…"

Sayu's eyes fluttered open. Huh, is this a dream? Why am I seeing the blue sky? I'm supposed to be in the classroom.

This smell… it's the smell of grass…

She sat up abruptly, rubbing her hands to the ground. Grass… and dirt… how… why Her eyes went wide open as she took in her new surroundings. This is… this isn't the classroom! I'm in some forest! This… this has to be a dream, isn't it?!

She stood up. Swish. The air caressed her upper thighs, making her push her skirt down with a yelp.

Wait… my skirt… Why is it so short?

She looked down.

And, to her horror, she wasn't wearing her school uniform anymore.

She was wearing what could only be described as a cosplay of some sort, of Little Red Riding Hood for that matter. With wolf ears jutting out of her hood. And a skirt that was so short it barely covered her panties when she stood.

This… this must be a bad dream! I just to wake up! Wake up! Wake uppppp! She slapped her face over and over before pinching her cheek and twisting it as hard as she could.

It didn't work. She was still stuck here in this ridiculous costume in this ridiculous place.

Along with a number of other people she had just noticed was there as well, each in their own ridiculous costumes.

This… this must be a kidnapping of some sort!

She quickly ran over to the woman with the bunny suit, kneeling down before shaking her body vigorously.

"Wake up! Wake up!" she whispered, panic overtaking her completely. The kidnappers didn't seem to be around so this was their chance to escape!

Slowly waking up, Aria blinks against the sunlight filtering through the leaves above. The trees rustle softly, and the sound of birds chirping fills the air, helping her shake off her sleepiness. She groans softly as she sits up, her eyes widening in confusion as she takes in her surroundings.

"Where am I?" Aria mutters to herself, looking around the unfamiliar clearing. The grass beneath her feels different, and the flowers around her are strange too. The trees have a funny color to them, and the leaves are unlike any she's seen before.

Then, her heart skips a beat as she notices the other girls nearby. She blinks again, thinking she might still be asleep and dreaming. But the reality of the situation sinks in quickly, and her cheeks flush with embarrassment and disbelief.

"No way, this can't be real," Aria mutters, her voice shaky with anxiety. Her eyes shift to her attire, her gaze settling on the pink bow on her outfit. It's like something out of a fantasy story, and she can't help but feel ridiculous.

"This... this can't be happening. What kind of cruel joke is this," Aria mumbles, her voice a mix of shock and awkwardness. She bites her lip, her logical side trying to come up with an explanation. But looking around, she realizes that logic might not work wherever she is now.

In the midst of her own disbelief, Aria's attention is drawn to another girl, Sayu, who appears to be in a state of frenzy. Aria observes as Sayu shakes another girl awake, her own bewilderment mirrored in her actions.

Feeling a mixture of reassurance and a common sense of puzzlement, Aria takes a few steps closer. Her gaze shifts between Sayu and the other girls, her expression a mix of curiosity and uncertainty. Taking a deep breath, she decides to break the ice, her voice soft but carrying a hint of nervousness.

"Um, h-hello there?" Aria's words are tentative, reaching out in an attempt to bridge the gap of the unknown.

Sayu's attention shifted towards Aria. Her panicked expression softened before she lunged forward and grabbed her hands.

"Oh thank God you're awake! Look, we got to get away from here before the kidnappers return!"

Da'Niyah rolls to her side, and lets out an irritated exhale. She was going to slap whoever opened the blinds in her room, it was absolutely too bright now. She opened her eyes, squinting harshly as the bright beams of sunlight blinded her, bringing her arm to her face. It was. . . wet, smelling of morning dew and soil. Now that she could she properly, even if her eyes hadn't fully adjusted she was looking up at the open sky. It was a vast expanse of blue painted over with puffy strokes of white and light grey. A flock of birds were gliding across the canvas of blue above her. Da'Niyah blinked, slowly sitting up and realizing that all of her back, even her hair felt slightly damp. Finally in an upright position, it was apparent she was in a forest clearing and that she wasn't alone. She was more concerned about herself however, so she quickly examined herself. Looking down, her chest stared back at her, cupped in frilly, ruffled layers of delicate lace she had always despised. perhaps despised was the wrong description of it, but the edges of her lips pulled into a faint frown.

Her brown eyes were only filled with disdainful scrutiny as she observed her change of clothing further. A dark pink, or perhaps burgundy corset was around her waist, yet the front of it opened up exposed white lace and floral designs much like the cups holding her chest. Jewels, beads, pearls, feathers and even more flowers adorned her midriff and hips. burgundy long sleeved gloves were on her hands, and she could feel and extrangant choker necklace wrapped around her neck. The corset was over and dress she realized as she saw designed layers of silk and lace coming from underneath to protect what little dignity it could. she was relieved to find that at least the ridiculous get-up had spanks. Looking to her right, she saw a bouquet which quite matched her clothing and nearly let out a scoff. She briefly pondered if an obsessed stalker would soon appear and propose to her.

As she finally paid some proper attention to her surroundings again she saw others, all girls as far as she could tell in ridiculous clothes as well, except they looked young, high school and maybe not even college young. She frowned deeper at that, two others seemed awake, one frantically shaking someone in a bunny suit and another attempting to talk to said person. Standing, Da'Niyah stretches, the satisfying popping of her joints ringing in her ears. The forest around the group looked strange in a slightly whimsical, but also nearly uncanny way. That feeling you get when something is just off, not exactly what something should look like so it makes that feeling of dread pool in your stomach. Da'Niyah scans the treeline quietly, then glances back at the others walking over, hearing the tail end of something the one dressed up like a magical girl says ". . .there" By the looks of it, she was probably saying something to the little red riding hood looking girl. "Dressed up in a ridiculous outfit as well?" She calls out, squinting at the outfits they were all dressed in again, their outfits were better than hers in her opinion, but still could be a source for embarrassment she supposed.

As Aria's gaze meets Sayu's, she's met with a momentary wave of panic that soon gives way to a heartfelt urgency. Before she can react, Sayu lunges forward, gripping Aria's hands tightly. The sudden contact startles Aria, but she quickly senses the urgency in Sayu's touch and words.

"Hey, calm down," Aria says, her voice soothing as she tries to steady Sayu. "Kidnappers? What are you talking about?" Her eyebrows furrow in confusion as she takes in the other girl's worried expression and the intensity of her grip.

Before Aria can ask more questions, her attention is diverted by another girl's voice. She turns her gaze to see Da'Niyah approaching, her eyes scanning the treeline with a sense of caution. Aria's thoughts race to catch up with the situation, her mind struggling to grasp the reality of what's happening.

Listening to Da'Niyah's words, Aria glances at the other girls who are now gathering around. Her cheeks flush with a renewed awareness of her own attire as she realizes that they're all dressed in equally outlandish outfits. Aria's fingers unconsciously fidget with the shimmering bow atop her head, her discomfort evident.

"Yeah, it looks like we're all... wearing something weird," Aria responds with a self-conscious smile, her voice tinged with a hint of awkwardness. "I'm Aria, by the way," she adds, extending a hand towards Da'Niyah, a gesture of camaraderie amidst their shared predicament.

Another one of the unconscious women awoke, asking Sayu whether she was dressed in a ridiculous outfit as well. Or rather, it was an affirmation that both of them were dressed in ridiculous outfits.

"How can you be so calm?!" She scolded her, not out of anger but out of disbelief. "Clearly we've been kidnapped and forced into these stupid clothes! We have to run! Now!"

Sayu had no idea how she got kidnapped from her classroom but it was the only explanation she had in her mind.

When Aria tried to calm her down, she replied with, "It's the only explanation that makes sense, no?! I was sleeping in my class before I got here! Unless this is all just a dream, that is… but I tried to wake myself up before and it wasn't working!"

Da'Niyah raised her eyebrows at the panicking red riding hood, but she shakes Aria's hand. "Da'Niyah." She said, then turned to the red riding hood girl. "If we were kidnapped, lets first consider where you were before this and where you are now. Were in a forest clearing, by ourselves with no visible people nearby. Next, how would we not have woken up while our kidnapper changed us, unless they drugged us? If we were drugged, we would feel the side effects of it, and most likely be dangerously drowsy. If we were knocked out or forcefully put to sleep, we would be feeling a throbbing pain or at least have a wound on our body somewhere. As far as I can tell, everyone here isn't suffering from any pain other than discomfort from our outfit. Also, none of us have trouble speaking as far as I'm aware, we all feel the same as before we woke up here no?" She wasn't in much hurry to explain, and nobody seemed to be nearby except them so it could be assumed they were deep in some unknown forest, stranded. That probably should have made her scared or something, but she couldn't help that she felt a whole lot of nothing. Plus, the weather was quite nice here, wherever they were, and that always made your mood better.

Da'Niyah's straightforward approach and calm analysis provided a stark contrast to the prevailing panic, and Aria found herself paying close attention as she listened to Da'Niyah's reasoning. She nodded as Da'Niyah pointed out the lack of pain or drowsiness, her logical assessment bringing a glimmer of reassurance amidst the surreal situation.

"Da'Niyah's right. We should try to stay calm and figure things out," Aria added, her voice steady as she glanced between the two girls. "And... yeah, none of us seem to be in pain, just... really uncomfortable." Her cheeks flushed again as she gestured to her own costume, a mix of embarrassment and agreement in her expression.

Aria's gaze flicked to the other panicked girl, her eyebrows lifting slightly at the directness of the question. But before she could respond, Sayu's outburst cut through the air, laden with disbelief and urgency.

Aria's lips parted, torn between understanding Sayu's panic and trying to offer a counterpoint. "I know this seems crazy, but maybe there's another explanation we haven't thought of yet," she offered tentatively. "I mean, we all woke up in this same place, right? And it's not like we can run from here without knowing where we are." She looked around at the unfamiliar trees, her uncertainty evident. "Maybe if we work together, we can figure out what's going on."

Aria's voice was calm, a touch of reason trying to find its place amidst the storm of emotions and confusion. It was a surreal situation, but she couldn't help but feel that there might be more to it than a simple kidnapping.

Sayu's eyes flashed with anger as she listened to Aria and Da'Niyah's calm reasoning.

"Don't tell me to stay calm!" she burst out, her voice sharp. "We've been kidnapped and dumped in the middle of nowhere, and you want me to be rational about it?"

She clutched her red cloak tightly around herself, feeling suddenly self-conscious in the ridiculous outfit. Her heart was pounding as she looked around the unfamiliar forest surrounding them.

"I just want to go home," Sayu said after a moment, her voice strained. "But I guess you're right - we should try to figure out what happened first."

She stood up, taking a deep breath to steady her nerves. Getting angry wouldn't help. They needed to work together to understand their situation.

"Does anyone remember anything before waking up here?" she asked. "Did we know each other before this?"

Sayu felt totally lost, but getting answers was the only way forward. She had to keep her head and try to solve this bizarre mystery, as much as she wanted to break down. Who had done this to them? And why?

Charlotte

-Little Clearing, Middle of Some Forest, ???-

It was as if she'd fallen asleep, and frankly the rest was a welcome one. Like the best sleep she'd had in months or something.

Felt kinda funny for someone who was dreaming though, was like she was lying down on a soft bed of grass. Smell of wildflowers dancing through her nostrils. A cool breeze going through and made her arms feel lightly chilled by a cool summer breeze, counteracted by the warmth of the sun on her. Ah. It was certianly something of a vivid dream if noting else, though, because she could swear it felt as if she was actually there! But that'd be entirely silly! Most likely she'd fallen asleep, dreamt she'd heard voices when in the garage workshop while her head was lying down, and then had dad had carried her to bed or something. Was the last sort of thing she remembered at any rate, working in the garage at night, and then suddenly she was out like a light!

Surely there was nothing strange about all of this, right? She'd wake up with her alarm going off as usual, get dressed for school like usual, and then-

She quickly ran over to the woman with the bunny suit, kneeling down before shaking her body vigorously.

"Wake up! Wake up!" she whispered, panic overtaking her completely.
???

...Eh? Didn't recognize the voice, but someone was shaking her pretty hard now. Not even her mom did that sort of thing! Maybe her older sister, sure, but she was off at college. Perhaps she'd returned home early, and was trying to spook her again? Ha. Then again it didn't sound like her older sister either....or, well, any of her younger siblings. Sometimes Julie did want someone to make her pancakes though, so maybe that was the case and Charlotte herself was just too sleepy to tell it was her?

"Um, h-hello there?"
???

A fainter voice, farther away, which defienitely wasn't anyone she knew.

"Oh thank God you're awake! Look, we got to get away from here before the kidnappers return!"
???

Kidnappers? What?!

"Dressed up in a ridiculous outfit as well?" She calls out
???

Charlotte could hear a flurry of activity near her, a rapid-fire and dizzying amount, and finally deciding something was actually 'up'. Well, or perhaps simply finally submitting to the very fact despite her attempted denial that she was dreaming or something. Whatever the case was in the end, the bunnysuited girl would slowly sit up and cross her legs as her eyes came open and she frankly let out a soft but tired morning yawn. After rubbing her eyes with her rists to try to clear them, she then looked about herself for the first time.

"..."

Worst case, maybe just maybe the leftovers she'd eaten for dinner were already bad somehow and gave her a drug-like trip, right? Maybe. Er...no.

There were trees and flowers that seemed normal as well as somehow 'abnormal' looking. Birds singings. A nice breeze. Green grass underneath her body (admittedly comfy grass in this case). There were also other people, all female as well. A panicky girl who looked like Little Red Riding Hood became a cute werewolf, a woman who seemed to be wearing what looked like a flower garden had a baby with the wild west, and a girl who at least most recognizably looked like some kind of trademarked magical girl straight out of anime. Then there seemed to be, at the moment for her at least, some woman who definitely wasn't family (but looked almost related to her somehow to her eyes) but was wearing a bikini-armor type garment that her older sister might've dared to wear without batting an eye if she'd ever gotten into cosplay.

Anything else just as ridiculous right now-?

...Wait. She hadn't accounted for herself.

Charlotte looked down at her body, taking careful note of the attire clinging to her body like it was made for her. Fishnet leggings with a couple of pink ribbons, black suit that didn't quite cover as much as a swimsuit on her upper body, and-, ah! Pink ribbon and a suit-like collar around her neck, and, as she reached a hand up to her head, a pair of floppy bunny ears. All of that, plus a pair of suit-and-tie-type cufflinks on her wrists and two pink bows holding her hair into a pair of twintails farther back on each side of her head. And a black armband of a small sort on each of her uppers arms.

And a partridge in a midddle-finger-flipping pear tree, basically.

But wait, there's more!

Trying to think on what she last remembered, the girl also found something else in there as well. Abnormal stuff. Like someone had jammed a book or fanfic into her brain or something, it felt like, as she tried to mentally recall moire of it. Auto-Cleaningp? Novice Artificer? Oh wait, no, that bit seemed a bit cool, actually....but still. Warding Garb? Crapshoot?! What was all of this crap, and how did it get into her head without her knowing why?!

Still, despite the obvious panic and feeling like she was dressed by her older sister as a prank...Charlotte also felt a certain spark of curiosity about it all admittedly. Rather than audibly recognize the immediate issue and calling out to the others or something to draw attention, instead Charlotte deciding to test if she'd been hypnotized or something else strange. Maybe. Either way she already looked like an idiot, so it'd only be par for the course at this rate anyway to test something out from the stuff in her head.

Pointing a finger at a nearby normal-ish looking tree, square in the center of it, the bunnygirl tried activing Crapshoot before-

'Crackle'

'CRASH'

A pair of strange dice appeared in front of her, out of seemingly nothing, befoire they suddenly shot off at the tree like some kind of magic missile! Or at least that was the only point of reference she had for such a thing after many hours of internet browsing and learning obtuse facts about things like D&D and so forth. The dice, from what she saw, seemed to be a light pale blue, like ice, and upon striking the tree seemed to shatter into very faintly glowing ice shrapnel that was embedded into the tree as it shook a little bit from the impact. Frankly the sound of the impact to her sounded like ice but also like hitting something at the same time. So...meaning they'd hit with some little force as well? Nothing that could destroy the big tree or knock it over, but enough to do someting at least. Either way it would maybe draw attention to the fact she was now awake, perhaps, depending on how things went.

Whatever the case it felt like a trippy experience, causing the bunnysuited girl to look down at the finger she had cast Crapshoot from curiously.

"Either those leftovers were way too out of date, or I just got sent to wonderland on a bizarre adventure and became the rabbit."

It was a simple exclamation, but with a tone that didn't seem entirely quite sure of how she should feel. Panicked? Angry? Sad? Depressed? Excited? Embarassed? Like she needed to go save a pair of hobbits from Isengard and then save a princess from another castle or something? Charlotte's mind was still, as it were, trying to fathom things well enough. But if there was one thing that was sure, it was that she wasn't home anymore and there definitely wasn't a VR headset glued to her face.

Sayu nearly jumped out of her skin at the sudden cracking sound, whirling around to see a tree embedded with icy shrapnel. Her eyes went wide as she spotted the girl in the bunny outfit who seemed to have caused it.

"What in the..." Sayu muttered under her breath, before calling out cautiously, "Did you… did you do that?"

Was that… was that some kind of...magic? Sayu wasn't sure what she had just witnessed, glancing uncertainly at Aria and Da'Niyah.

Cautiously, she approached the bunny girl, one hand gripping her red cloak tight. "I'm Sayu," she said slowly, offering her hand for a shake.

Sayu studied the girl's bizarre outfit, feeling somewhat relieved that her own costume was at least a bit more dignified . A bunny girl outfit? Really?

Still, that cracking ice power, or whatever it was — it unsettled her. With a nervous gulp, she summoned her courage to ask the question brimming under her tongue.

"Do you...know how you did that?" Sayu asked hesitantly, gesturing to the damaged tree. "I'm starting to think we really are in a dream…"

She glanced back at the others, wondering if anyone else had discovered strange new abilities. This whole situation just kept getting more confusing by the minute.

Cecilia Feilding

Cecilia was no stranger to waking up on a pleasant bed of grass surrounded by trees. Not to say that she was familiar with being isekai’d to random fields on fantasy words –no matter the similarity to her surname—but it was not the first time she’d fallen asleep on the Balliol quad with a book in hand, and the silver-haired master’s student had little reason to find waking up against some dewy grass and an open sky being overly unusual.

What was unusual, though, was the fact that others on the lawn were making such a racket. Even at Oxford, there were troublemakers and rabblerousers, but frenzied screeching was a little beyond the pale. As she fully blinked open her eyes, she found that her body was feeling a little breezier than normal. Her limbs were somewhat heavier too… What?

That prompted her to look down, and that prompted her own screeching. “What in the nine hells is this!?”

What she’d found, after all, was not the sweater and skirt she had been wearing, but a very skimpy white bikini. There was honest to goodness plate armor adorning her arms and legs, but that wasn’t the big deal right now—someone had stripped her and put her in this… revealing… thing! And in public! Trying to cover herself up, she searched around for her towel to wrap around herself—and that was when she saw the other girls.

The other girls that had also been making a noise about their situation. The other girls in strange, costumes and cosplay… And shooting strange magic at random trees that were certainly not in the university city that she was intimately experienced with.

“What.”

Cecilia bluescreened.

Some Forest...

With time, and the increasing intensity of hysterical women, the girls in the glen awoke and rose to their feet, one after the other. Some of them were flipping out, making up plausible reasons and scenarios for their current situation in their mind - and then projecting said delsuional asumptions into their surroundings. Others took a more clinical and calm approach to the whole ordeal, trying to rationalize and make sense of the non-sensical and unexplainable phenomenon as best they could. And some just stood there... Screaming to the heavens above and doing absolutely nothing productive or useful at all.

Yup. It was a mess.

Thankfully, one of the girl's seemed to have - somehow - managed to keep enough of their head in order to notice something. Something that they shouldn't and hadn't known about before they passed out and then awoke in this strange place. It was the playboy bunny who had managed to first figure out that she now knew things that she earlier hadn't had any knowledge or idea about. What's more, she was able to unleash a small, clearly supernatural ability on a poor, defenseless and wholly innocent tree. Humanity at its finest!

As Red Riding Hood approached and tried to coaz the bunnygirl into spilling the beans on how and what she'd just done, the entire collective assembly of females were sudden struck by...

A ring-tone.

Or, to be more precise, an electronic ring-noise. Kinda like the one you'd hear in a live-call or when using a chat program and getting a message. But the noise came form inside their own head... Which... Was disconcerting to say the least.

Nevertheless! As soon as the brief, three-piece noise stopped, each of them would notice something even more bizarre. in front of their eyes, blocking their vision, a big envelope-shaped icon appeared. Yeah. An icon. Like the one you see on a home-screen on a smartphone or something. But it was there. Right infront of them. Hovering in mid-air. ANd it was moving. Like an animated gif or something. Then, without their consent, it blooped itself, and a new strange thing happened.

A window opened up. Like on a computer screen. But in their eyes. Their mind's eye? Whatever. They could all see it, that's the important bit. The window looked pretty standard to what you'd expect a window containing an email or message to lo0k like, save it was slightly transparent. But that wasn't the important bit. The important bit was what was written, and that the message started automatically reading itself to each of the girls, still in their head, with no scientifically acceptable reason as to why.

Subject: Welcome!
Sender: God

Message:
Hello, hello, hello! Congratulations, girlls~ *Clap, clap, clap*
You've all been selected as the esteemed and fortunate winners of a trip to an entirely different world, yay!

I'm sure you got all sorts of quesitons and concerns, but don't worry even teensy bit! I've provided you with some of my personal wardrobe that'll hlep you make your way in this brand new and exciting world you all find yourselves in.

Just remember to keep those garaments on, ladies~ They're your key to success while you're visting here. Oh, and don't worry, even though you're all form different parts of your world and in a brand new one, I've granted you all the ability to both speak and read the language, so you should all be able to communicate flawlessly! Ain't I something~?

Alright then, have fun and I do hope you'll enjoy your time in this world!

Best of luck to you all, [heart-emoji]!

The voice of the reader was... Very... Chipper. Almost to the point of sounding like an excited teenager talking to her gal-pals about something inconsequential and silly. Except, you know, this was about the prospect of trans-dimensional travel by some unknown deity who apparently had just lent out some of her own questionable attires to a group of five randomly selected women who had probably never met.

Sounds reasonable, yeah.?

In any case... The girls were left with the window and the e-mail icon then closing on its own, and vanishing into the ether without a trace, as if it had never been there at all.

And then there was just the woods, the clearing and the ladies in their outfits.

And birds tweeting.

5 Minutes Later...

The first of the girls to notice something was Sayu. For some reason, she could hear a distant noise coming from... That direction. Well, it wasn't exactly easy to tell which way that was, due to the lack of a compass or map or any other way to discern one way from another. But regardless, she heard something. Whatever it was, it seemed to be getting closer though. Not particularly fast or anything - but bit by bit, she could hear the sound of rustling leaves, thuds on dirt or grass and the muffled noises of what was... Voices? Animal noises? It was difficult to tell...

The second one to pick up on this approaching source of new sounds was Charlotte, though by the time she heard anything, Sayu had already picked up on the sounds. Now it was up to these two girls - because the other three sure as heck didn't seem to notice any foreign sounds that weren't the breezy breeze or singing birds. What to do? Inform the others about a potential new arrival? Run and hide? Climb a tree? Fall down in a fetal position, cry and call for mommy? It was up to them!

Oh, but this was all a bit after the whole message-from-God-deal... So, maybe they had some talking and sicussing to do about that bit first...

BEEP

The moment the ringtone sounded, Sayu gasped. Her instinct made her reach over to her skirt pocket. Only to find that her skirt had no pockets and that the sound wasn't coming from anywhere near her. In fact, it sounded more like it came from inside her own head!

BEEP

That sound again! What's going on now? How many weird things must I suffer today?!

BEEP!

The last tone was higher pitched than the rest, followed by a bizarre sight right in front of her eyes.

An envelope icon, floating in mid-air, suddenly popped into existence, blocking her sight.

"Eeek!"

She yelped, falling over to the forest ground butt first with her legs wide open, revealing to the world her girly, frilly white panties — the exact kind of panties she would never wear!

And then, by its own volition, the icon opened, revealing a message.

A message that made her jaws drop.

"What?! Did it just say 'God'?! And different world? You — you gotta be joking!"

"What do you mean by personal wardrobe?! Is this… is this your doing?! Were you the one who put us in these ridiculous clothes?! Give our clothes back, you pervert!"

"Keep the clothes on? As if! I'll change out of it the moment I find another, less ridiculous set of clothes!"

She, of course, was just yelling to thin air. But she had to! This whole thing was so outrageous she just had to protest, even if the person responsible wasn't actually there!

Even after the email disappeared, the girl continued her rant. She only stopped once she was out of breath.

And then, and only then, she realized she had been sitting in quite the unfortunate position.

BLUSH

Her cheeks turned crimson while she hurriedly closed her legs and pushed the hem of her skirt down.

"Y-you idiot God!"

ᅠ

5 minutes later…

"Unbelievable! It's completely, totally unbelievable!"

Now back on her feet, Sayu continued to rant at the others. All the while holding the hem of her skirt down with both of her hands, still reeling from the embarrassment she had just received.

"A new, alternate, parallel dimension world? Are we supposed to just believe that?"

The more logical side of her brain answered with a yes. After all, she just witnessed magic with her own eyes, courtesy of the bunny girl.

Unfortunately, the more emotional side was still winning and once again she started to pinch her own cheeks in a futile effort to wake herself up.

Suddenly, however, she froze.

Her wolf ears twitched. Fear flashed on her face.

"Hey… guys.. Do you hear that? It's coming closer… from that way…"

"I… I think it might be some sort of a wild animal!"

Da'Niyah had raised an eyebrow at the bunnysuited woman's display. It made the gears in her head start turning, whirring with fascination, before she could make any hypothesis about what was happening, a beeping, ringtone rattled through her mind. She blinked, and the sound continued for a while longer before a letter icon appeared in her vision and opened itself. The message went on with some woman who called herself a god yapped about a mix of useless and somewhat useful information. Perhaps it was strange Da'Niyah first thought was about this 'Gods' questionable wardrobe. However it quickly faded to the back of her minds as she considered the rest of the strange note? email? a message seemed the most proper way to describe it. According to this, they were in a new world, which also begged the question of how and why. Taking into account they should now be able to talk and speak the common tongue of this apparently new world... Her thoughts were cut shorts by the faint sounds of someone-or perhaps something, approaching. She turned to where it sounded like the noise was coming from and the corners of her mouth twitched downwards. "...I hear it as well." She answered simply, if it was dangerous perhaps they all had some sort of magic like the woman in the bunny suit? Soon as such a thought crossed her mind, a bouquet of pink roses appeared in her hand. They were very on theme with her current outfit, and seemed impossibly detailed with small glimmering gemstones and strings of pearls wrapped around with lace and other unnecessary decor. Da'Niyah brung them closer to her face to inspect the newly acquired item, and her grip on the bouquet seemed to have little effect on them. No sooner than when she did that a little icon popped up next to the bouquet, like the ones which appeared next to items in video games. She stared at it as it expanded into a window across her vision giving a description of what she had in her hand.

Aria was taken aback as the electronic ringtone jolted her senses from within her mind. The sheer strangeness of a mental ringtone sent a shiver down her spine, making her feel like she'd stumbled into the twilight zone. She was grappling with this unprecedented experience, attempting to find some logical thread amidst the surrealism that now surrounded her.

As the envelope-shaped icon materialized before her, Aria's initial shock turned into deep-seated confusion. It was hard to concentrate on anything else, even as she noticed Sayu's rather embarrassing reaction to the unfolding events. She leaned into the message, though the overly cheerful tone was starkly contrasted by the absurdity of their predicament. Aria's inquisitive mind kicked into overdrive, firing off a barrage of questions about this enigmatic "God" and the bewildering circumstances that had landed them in this perplexing realm.

Only after the email vanished from her mind did Aria finally manage to pull her attention away from the bizarre message. She turned her gaze toward the red-hooded girl standing nearby, cheeks faintly flushed. Aria struggled to find words, her brain still reeling from the unexpected twist.

"Whoever this God person is," she stammered, her voice carrying a mix of amusement and bewilderment, "they certainly have a weird sense of humour." Like Sayu, she was also reluctant to believe that they'd been placed in some other dimension because...well, it was impossible, wasn't it? Yet...

Aria looked back at the now-damaged tree, biting her lip in thought. She couldn't help but wonder if there was some hidden purpose behind their situation, even if it seemed utterly implausible.

Before she could voice any more ideas, however, she noticed her new companion's sudden change of expression. To her question, she merely cocked her head to the side and looked around her.

"I don't hear anything in particular," Aria responded, her voice hushed as she scanned the forest. There was a lingering sense of unease, a feeling that they were not alone in this strange place. The chirping birds were still tweeting away, and the tension in the air had not changed for her.

"Perhaps it was...the wind?"

Cecilia Feilding

Cecilia was genre-savvy enough to recognize the obvious tell-tale signs of being Narnia’d, or more commonly, isekai’d. Being genre-savvy enough to know the obvious signs doesn’t mean one is in a position to immediately recognize the fact, however. Finding one’s self in strange and bizarre environments where things had previously been exceptionally normal can seriously mess with you.

Human psychology or something.

Well, it was obvious that Cecilia didn’t do well with outside context problems, and it took Cecilia some time of staring blank-eyed at a beat-up tree before the gears started turning in her otherwise generally smart brain of hers.

Until she got a text-to-speech voice message beamed straight to her brain, that was.

That, that was bullshit.

“That sounds more like the devil than God,” she muttered, resolving to classify the ‘sender’ as a Being or Entity rather than the Christian god that she was far more familiar with. A real god wouldn’t put her in a skimpy bikini, tell her it was clothing, and then force her to wear it in some messed up sort of skill-based hostage system.

Yes, she could feel that the bloody bikini was giving her a boost of some sort. She didn’t like it.

Cecilia glanced over to the wolf red riding hood lady and frowned. She was talking and yelling a little too much for her taste.

“If you don’t like that outfit, we can swap,” she offered. Unlike what Cecilia was wearing, what the girl was wearing was cute. It was cosplay that she wouldn’t mind wearing, unlike what she had on now…

She crossed her hands, under her all-too breezy chest. “I don’t hear anything either.”

-Little Clearing, Middle of Some Forest, ???-

Eh?! Of all the strange things to happen, what in this lala land was thi-

Subject: Welcome!

....Maybe Dante Alighieri really had been terrifyingly correct about more things than he thought when titling his magnum opus of a fanfiction. Perhaps it all truly was, without reservations, a 'Divine Comedy'. Ha. Except she wasn't laughing about this one. The panicking girl who'd been talking about kidnappers seemed to be correct, though instead of simply asking for a ransom this one had kidnapped them and dressed them up in strange costumes. Given that this all seemed oh so strange, Charlotte felt lucky enough to gamble that the 'keep those garments on because they are key to your success here' bit was more than a little bit truthful. Sure it could be full of utter and total B.S., but the cruel irony seemed too ripe and juicy for something like this to NOT be true perhaps.

Being stuck as a bunnygirl though? Seriously?! It was so stupid! She would never want to wear this, and frankly would have torn it off already if not for the warning, but this self-proclaimed deity messaging them hadn't exactly stopped them from one thing. They just needed to wear these silly costumes, right? No reason she couldn't wear a cloak or something over this either? She wouldn't be not wearing the costume, after all, but she'd have to test the theory later...well, if there was any sort of civilization around here at all. Then again, would their personal disatisfaction with these stupid costumes be the only possible entertainment? A stunt, much like a performance or going out on Halloween, always required an audience after all.

Or, well, this was all initial conjecture on her part. A fair bit of assumption and guesswork based on the tone of that blasted message, but she was getting a similar vibe to that of her older sister to some extent and was running with that similar sort of impression for now.

Yet the simple path forward in that sense, she supposed, would thus be the best for the time being. Keep it simple and practical. Maintain the status quo. Play along, see what they could do, and test things practically along the way to feel out the situation. Certainly being gone from home forever wasn't exactly something she wanted to do, but for the time being the utter surreal nature of what was going on was certainly helping ground her in a sense. Somehow? Somehow, some way, whatever it was. Plus they had nothing else to wear for now anyway, etc.

"Y-you idiot God!"
The Shouting Is Back Again/Sayu

...That was a fair reaction, as much as the red-hooded girl who called herself Sayu seemed to talk otherwise. Or maybe Charlotte herself had read a few too many manga or something late at night on her phone when she couldn't sleep some nights over the last few years. Etc.

"Whoever this God person is," she stammered, her voice carrying a mix of amusement and bewilderment, "they certainly have a weird sense of humour."
Aria

It seemed all around the reactions from the other females of the group had been diverse enough, and reasonable enough to have in this situation she figured. Anger. Shock. Trying to trade outfits like a kid trying to trade the food they didn't want at Lunch in Elementary School. Hmm. They had most of the stages of grief going on thus far, actually, and she could already feel herself lightly nibbling on her own lower lip without thinking before stopping herself.

No. Just no. Not right now. Toss it on the backburner, and focus on what was going on in front of her. Breathe, breathe in and out. Focus. Whatever the case was, and however they were feeling, they needed to not just sit about idly for now at least. That much she knew for certain, and that much she could shift her focus onto at the bare minimum.

"Unbelievable! It's completely, totally unbelievable!"

"A new, alternate, parallel dimension world? Are we supposed to just believe that?"
Sayu-nara, My Eardrums

"I had information I never knew before implanted in my head, and I can fire magic dice at a tree while wearing a bunnysuit. Seems more believable. Besides, it technically was a kidnapper like you said before."

Five minutes later and they were not a bit closer to whatever they were needing to do than before. If anything was manageable at this rate anywho. Given fifteen more minutes of, even if understandably, frustrated barking Charlotte felt tempted to just start preparing wood for a basic camp or something. She'd been camping sometimes with her family, not that her older sister had enjoyed any of it in reality outside of a few small bits and pieces. Hadn't been her favorite either, but she'd at least learned a few practical things from her father about it.

"Hey… guys.. Do you hear that? It's coming closer… from that way…"

"I… I think it might be some sort of a wild animal!"
Sayu-later, Alligator!

Hearing things? What, did the little animal ears on her costume actually-

-...allow her to hear things. From afar. Like an actual animal. Ok, now she could hear it all as well if she was hearing the same things. So the ears had function for this outfit somehow? Or, well, for their outfits in general if the had any? Hmm. That would be something to take note of for later then.

"I don't hear anything in particular."
Aria

“If you don’t like that outfit, we can swap."

“I don’t hear anything either.”
???

"Actually, I can hear something as well. Voices or something, maybe, but it seems maybe the animal ears on these costumes actually work somehow.

There's something moving in our direction, I believe. Perhaps we should try to hide for the moment just in case."

Yes. That sounded like a far better idea than still panicking. In that vein, Charlotte tried to grab the arm of the panicky Sayu to drag over behind the nearest large and wide tree in proximity to them. Well, if the other girl would allow her to anywho. If Sayu didn't allow her to bring her to cover, then Charlotte would just go hide behind such a tree (if any) herself alone as a precaution. Either way, if the others didn't believe them she was going to try to save her skin at the very least (and someone else's in the process if she could maybe).

"I agree!" Sayu nodded enthusiastically. "A god wouldn't speak like that! They would be more… grandiose or elegant or dignified…" She wasn't really a religious person back at home so all the gods she knew came from the fiction she read.

“If you don’t like that outfit, we can swap,” she offered. Unlike what Cecilia was wearing, what the girl was wearing was cute. It was cosplay that she wouldn’t mind wearing, unlike what she had on now…

"Swap our outfits? I'm not sure if we can—"

Her eyes widened with surprise as she realized what she was wearing.

"Nonono, absolutely not! I'd rather wear this than a scandalous bikini like that!"

"I had information I never knew before implanted in my head, and I can fire magic dice at a tree while wearing a bunnysuit. Seems more believable. Besides, it technically was a kidnapper like you said before."

Sayu opened her mouth to reply but no words came out.

She was right.

There really was a legitimate, honest-to-goodness possibility that they really had been transported into another world, and one with magic at that.

"Aaahh!" She stomped her foot to the ground out of anger and frustration.

Only to be surprised by the small crater she left on the point of contact.

W-what? Did I… did I just do that?

Her eyes widened in shock.

She really had superpowers now. Just like the bunny girl.

"Nonono, it's not the wind." Sayu shook her head. "It's… it's something else… and it's coming here fast!"

She crossed her hands, under her all-too breezy chest. “I don’t hear anything either.”

"Argh, just trust me! We better run or hide right away!"

"Actually, I can hear something as well. Voices or something, maybe, but it seems maybe the animal ears on these costumes actually work somehow.

There's something moving in our direction, I believe. Perhaps we should try to hide for the moment just in case."

"Thank you!" Sayu let out a relieved sigh that someone else agreed with her. "Finally, someone else with an actually good hearing around here!"

Charlotte didn't need to grab Sayu to go with her. She willingly took refuge behind the tree, readying herself from anything coming her way.
