Bio

"Humanity takes great pride in three things. Their willpower, their greed and their mortality.

Their will and endless greed allows them to grow and accend past other creatures
But their mortality denies them divinity

It's a delightful purgatory between being Fallen and being Divine"

Kalla

"I am honestly surprised on how you're fine after experiencing that. It was a powerful healing spell but... You seem to be ok. Most people would still be in shock." Maeve said with a tired smile as she heard Sahale's words.

"That said... It was a... strange encounter. There are undoubtedly more questions than answers and I'm afraid that they will continue like this." Maeve said shaking her head. Both Bardus, his skills and even Jeevak were a complete mystery for her. Who exactly they were, how powerful they were and how did they had such power...

When Sahale started speaking about Jeevak though, Maeve simply raised an eyebrow, silently hearing every word he said. Apparently, Jeevak wasn't just a grusk. He was the lost prince of the Grandis Empire, as of now a King. Having lost his throne and with grusk being so few and rare, he was essentially a king without something to lead. His reasons for coming to Kalla, according to Sahale were simple. He was looking for others like him, other grusk. Being the king he apparently felt like it was his responsibility to take care of them. His final goal is to create a country, a safe haven for all grusk. Somewhere they can call home.

"I see..." Maeve said, thinking for a moment about what Sahale said. In one hand, Jeevak's story was almost sad but Maeve wouldn't let that lower her guard. Sahale's warning wasn't going to be ignored. Jeevak probably went through a lot and as the saying goes... When you look at the abyss, the abyss looks back at you.

"Unstable and dangerous to all but those who are his kin... I do understand your warning. He does seem the type of person that would not hesitate in putting down anyone who stood in his way." Maeve said, with a serious expression. It wasn't hard for her to imagine that Jeevak was the type of person that would do anything to complete his goals and if Jeevak indeed cared more about grusk people than others races...

After the explanation, Sahale mentioned that she could go rest at the inn if she wanted. His contracted spirit seemed to be indeed very... attached to him and when Sahale mentioned that she wouldn't let him go after what happened and how worried she was, Maeve couldn't help but chuckle.

"You are lucky to have someone like her by your side. She really does care about you." Maeve said with a smile as she waved Sahale and the Sylph a tired goodbye before heading to the inn.

"Sil? Sil!! Where are you going?" Karina asked, worried as she saw Sil simply flying away from her, simply going up until she couldn't see her anymore. Something had happened with the small Sil, something that the Sightless did to her when he attacked her...

Without much time to think about it, she heard DB's reply, they had to run away from there otherwise they would risk their own lives and throw away the sacrifice and help that those who were disguised as Cultists gave them.

Running away from the tower, Karina and the others met with Chres and the rest of the group, reuniting themselves as they were led through the heavy rain by a mysterious man that seemed to be together with the fake cultists. Every turn the man made, they followed him. Many times, the path he was leading them seemed like a bit random, with them stopping and staying in silence for a while before running again, letting the freezing rain soak their bones and making them feel how cold it really was. From time to time, Karina would take a look around, especially upwards, almost as if searching for something but would soon continue following him. That continued for a while until the man led them inside an empty building, finally saiying that they were safe, before turning to talk with them.

The man introduced himself as Malkev, the head of the Watch. His words as he introduced himself were grim though and made it clear that he was pretty much what it was left of the watch, quickly indicating that the watch wouldn't be that much of a saving grace that the group was expecting. That said, he also mentioned that they have made... other allies that could also help them. Jade candle lanterns would keep them hidden while they were being led to this mysterious 'ally' Malkev spoke of.

After some time, they found themselves at the underground tunnels below the city. Upon entering the big chamber, someone who called himself the "Kharu-Natjer", together with some slaves, stated that they were welcome to stay, providing food and shelter. Judging by the jade candles, it seemed that whoever was this Kharu-Natjer, it was well prepared. Karina still had some doubts about who this "Kharu-Natjer" was, but since he was offering them some much needed help, Karina kept her distrust to herself.

When Karina went to get something to eat, she saw Chres on the chair, staring blankly at his plate. Seeing him like that made Karina feel a bit guilty, after all, Sil was with her before she flew away. The moment he whispered Sil's name was the moment that Karina approached him.

"Chres... Sill... Something happened to her when she was attacked by the Sightless. She wasn't being... herself. I don't know much about what happened but I tried everything I could... She simply flew away..." Karina said in a lower tone, explaining and at the same time apologizing to Chres.

Ada

@Restalaan@ShwiggityShwah@Stern Algorithm@Rezod92

Ada was still looking to her claws and then looking around with them extended before looking to the group, tilting her head almost as if she was silently asking if someone had water for her to deal with that. The moment she heard Haley's voice though, she turned to the harpy girl, looking at Haley as she flew over near her, asking if she wanted to take a bath together. Extending her hands towards Haley, Ada looked at the harpy girl as she gave a few steps closer to her, before nodding her head energetically. She seemed clearly happy that she was going to be able to clean herself and eager to get rid of it. Since her sense of smell was really sensitive, it was causing her discomfort since she got out of the cemetery. With Talia shortly after mentioning food, Ada couldn't be more happy.

With Haley's invitation extending to the rest of the group, Ada heard Yang, the blonde lady that she had met when she arrived saying that she would join them too, which made her look at Yang with a smile, extending her dirty claws to her as well, almost as if wanting to share the happiness she was feeling for being able to clean herself with Yang.

Freyr

That talk with the mysterious Lilim had helped Freyr to clear his thoughts quite a bit. His trip back to the guild was silent and calm as he simply enjoyed the night breeze. As he arrived on the guild, he met the guild members all reunited for some reason. Some of them were covered in dirt and soil for some reason, but all in all, everyone seemed to be fine, just talking with each other about their day, their missions and introducing themselves to the newcomer, which, speaking of, was someone Freyr had already met. As he approached the group, Freyr simply waved to Kira with a nod of his head and a calm smile, a clear indication that he was feeling better than before. That said, Freyr simply stood there silently, just hearing what the others had to say. He wasn't particularly eager to speak any further about what happened today unless someone asked him to. Regarding the other members, apparently, the ones that were covered in dirt and smelling quite... funny had an unfortunate encounter with a horde of undead. Most of them were going to take a bath, the girls in one group and Ozzy and Ditzy in the other. Talia and Kira in the other hand were going to help with the food.

"Do you guys need help with anything?" Freyr finally asked as he looked to the group, just as they were already starting to disperse.

Sharon, Shalador

Mikhail silently watched as Thom's expression grew even more wary when Faeril was mentioned, making it clear of what she was. The boy was right to be careful about Black Widows... Mikhail himself both understood and agreed with his way of thinking. Judging by how his expression, he also knew that the choices he had at that moment were almost nonexistent. That said, Mikhail could only guess so much by watching Thom's expression. The probable mental conversation between him and Dunny though, as both looked at each other was something he couldn't know.

Fortunately, Mikhail was right to bet on Fatima for that kind of problem. Despite her whimsical nature and talent to find trouble, she was still a kind and sweet woman that knew how to deal with people, especially calming them down. Almost immediately dismissing Jandar and Bellinar, which were undoubtedly a big source of fear for the boy while at the same time reassuring that the boy would be welcome on their camp and well treated, she turned to Thom and Dunny again before giving them a kind smile and then... doing a front flip... out of nowhere, followed by a theatrical bow that ended in a roll as she flopped her back on the ground.

Mikhail blinked a few times, speechless, looking to Thom, Dunny and then Fatima again with an incredibly confused and surprised expression. Surprisingly enough, both him and Thom had similar expressions, even though Mikhail was normally quiet, even him couldn't hold himself, letting his jaw drop as he watched Fatima getting up and rubbing her back, mentioning that it was a long time since she did something like that. When he thought that Fatima would know how to deal with the boy, he was expecting something a bit more discreet and motherly. Fortunately, it seemed that her idea worked, judging by how happy Dunny was, promptly saying that she was a good queen, jumping around. Even Thom, which was much more careful regarding others was apparently too confused to even think about Fatima and Mikhail being bad anymore.

"I must confess... I wasn't expecting this. That said... It seems it worked, right?" Mikhail said after Jandar with a chuckle as he shook his head, as if still struggling to believe something like that happened. Jandar in the other hand was acting almost like a dignified butler, tidying Fatima's hair and clothes as well as he could, trying to make her more presentable.

"Now you know why I said Fatima is rather... unique, don't you?" Mikhail said to the group with a small smirk and a chuckle, teasing Fatima.

Just as he had finished saying that though, a familiar voice interrupted them as a figure landed just nearby the group. Inquiring what was happening in a rather unpleasant manner, Xandar demanded to know what was happening, making Mikhail simply raise an eyebrow, looking at him with a piercing stare. The last thing they needed right now was someone who didn't know how to hold their tongue and their attitude to frighten the boy even more.

"Everything is already taken care of, Xandar. Your presence here is unneeded. We are going back to the camp soon." Mikhail said, in a serious tone.

"That said... if you want to blame anyone for waking you up, blame Bellinar." Mikhail finished.

The Stadium

Having arrived on Greece just a few hours ago, Mikhail was taken directly to The Stadium, the headquarters for the Rainbow team. Even though he was by no means inexperienced, he couldn't help but feel a bit restless. He had complete confidence in his skills but he never thought of himself as one of the best among the best. Ironically, some people, powerful people, thought differently. Being part of one of the select few that were, officially the best among the best, to be part of the Rainbow team was both an honor and a great responsibility. The facility that he was going to houses the best operators and the brightest minds that were working to support them, what was expected of Mikhail was excellence and no less. After a short explanation about the different areas on The Stadium, he was escorted to the barracks and shown to his personal quarters.

Most of the stuff he had brought were already on the room, including, much to his surprise, a large rectangular gun case in the corner of the room. When he was selected to join the Rainbow team, he made a personal request, asking if the personal weapons he owned and used in the SSO could be taken there. Unfortunately, due to a number of reasons, they had to deny his request but not before reassuring him that they would try to do something about it. As he opened the gun case, he couldn't help but let his eyes wander at what was inside. Instead of the guns he used, the ones inside the case were improved, modernized and modified versions, with state-of-the-art attachments such as scopes, silencers & etc. Even though that was only a small glimpse of the type of equipment that was at his disposal on the facility, it was already enough to make him impressed and eager to test them on the shooting range.

After taking a quick shower, which was undoubtedly needed after the flight and grabbing the gun case, he went outside, stopping just outside of the barracks and looking at the Arena for a brief moment and then looking around in order to situate himself on the facility. While the noises of people working and the muffled sounds of shots in the distance were proof that the facility indeed was operating nearly at one hundred percent of it's capability, a testament that the people gathering there were nothing less than the best in their respective areas, it was undeniable that the overall scenario was... different from what he was expecting. It was more relaxing than what he thought it would be, in fact, it did look much more like the campus of an university than anything else. That said, it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. The atmosphere was definitely more relaxing than the other places he used to work. The only thing he would have to be careful was to not let himself be affected by that atmosphere too much to the point that he would slack on his training routine.

With those thoughts in mind, Mikhail went towards the shooting range, which wasn't hard to find due to the muffled sound of shots and the mental image he had of the map of the facility. Practicing a bit would not only help Mikhail to get acclimated with the facility and he would have the pleasure to test the weapons that were provided to him but it could potentially lead to him to knowing more about the other operators he would work with. Since Mikhail wasn't the one that often started the conversations, the best thing he could do was to make himself seen around the facility.
Hey! Sorry for the delay! Had a lot of things to do... For some weird reason, my professors in the college think that real-time online classes aren't enough and thought that it would be a good idea to give us extra work to do like essays, exercises & etc... ALL AT THE SAME TIME T___T

...

And I may or may not have forgotten the deadline for a few of them... Which are for this monday...

Anyways, will have my post done tomorrow!! :-)

Sharon, Shalador

Mikhail silently heard Bellinar's words as he explained the situation, albeit a bit poorly, to Fatima. Despite everything he said and the fact that Mikhail himself thought that his approach to the situation was a bit... violent, he did have a point. The boy and the dog did know too much... The only two options right now was to either earn their trust somehow or to wipe their minds clear... Just as Bellinar had suggested. Jandar, similarly thought that it was definitely an efficient solution to their problem, but indeed Faeril had already used too much of her power. Another point they couldn't simply ignore.

"Despite everything... I do agree that wiping their minds would be definitely an efficient solution. That said, we cannot ignore the point Jandar just mentioned. Faeril already used her power too much. Not only that, but the boy and the kindred are just thieves looking for food. There are three ways we can deal with this situation. We can either earn their trust and be sure they won't speak about us, we can ask Faeril, who is already tired and exhausted to use her powers once again or we can simply... eliminate the problem. Between them, I do think that the first one is the cleaner one, don't you agree?" Mikhail said, looking to Jandar and Bellinar. Even though he wasn't speaking directly with Thom, it was clear that he was giving a warning to Thom. His options weren't many and the one he was trying to suggest him was the better one between the rest.

Unfortunately, the boy did seem to have a poor reaction to Fatima. He did understand the boy's fear though. Fatima was indeed a rather... unique queen. Different from the vast majority.

"Calm down, boy. Fatima is indeed... unique for a queen." Mikhail said, trying to calm him down.

"Besides... It would be easier for us to just do as Bellinar said and wipe your mind clean. If we wanted to do you any bad, we would already have done so. It won't hurt trying to talk with her a bit and see for yourself if she's like the others. Listen to Jandar's words if mine are not enough to convince you." Mikhail said, looking to Thom.
