I think to sell someone on an interest check, it's really important to seem enthusiastic about your own idea. That means writing more than a single sentence to attract potential players.

Did you know that Dante's inferno is called a divine comedy because things work out for the protagonist? Back in the day, the only two genres were comedy and drama. The only difference was that in a comedy, the protagonist is better off at the end, and a drama is the opposite. So that's why a story about going through hell can still be considered a comedy, even if it's not funny.
Name:
Broken Promise, BP, Boss
Age:
Old enough to know better, too young to care. (that is to say 30's)
Preferred RPs:
I Prefer to make my own, but will occasionally join something if it looks interesting. I'll join just about anything so long as it isn’t overly edgy/sweet, though it's rare for me to do. I don't do 1x1s too often either.
Preferred Roles:
I tend to play adorable characters everyone wants to befriend or proper assholes everyone wants to stay away from. I try not to play moral paragons or prime evils.
RP Conquests:
I've completed quite a few RP's off site, but most of them are on private forums or have simply been lost to the ravages of server crashes. As for stuff here, I'm sure everyone who sees me post in the off topic sections has seen me find an excuse to talk about Danganronpa: Tower of Carnage. It's a project that took over 4 years to complete and I feel pride not only for myself but all the wonderful people who helped make it enjoyable during its run. Re: Zero: The High Council Is technically my first, but it was just something I kind of took over and ended up ending the story after just six months. It finished, but eh...
For some reason I can't seem to stay away from Ari's magical girl RP, even if I'm not sure why I'm still in it.
As for my own projects, I'm doing Symphony on High to continue the gigachad adventures of the espers in Pax Septimus.
RP Graveyard:
I've been pretty fortunate on this forum. I think I joined one when I first came on the site that didn't really do anything, and there are a few 1x1 things that didn't go anywhere. It's disappointing when an RP ends before it can be finished, but I've come to look at them as learning experiences.
And then there's that london magical girl RP, and that dark magical girl RP. I think I'm done joining magical girl RPs for a while.

I watch a lot of educational videos on youtube. Usually as research for something I’m writing or purely because a topic interests me. I like channels like Tier Zoo and Daryl Talks Games, and I’ll also watch things like Critical Drinker or Literature Devil to deepen my understanding of story telling. Though I also like memes and jokes, to which I’ll find myself watching stuff like Sseth, but usually find myself surfing through meme videos. I gotta work on that.
Games
I have a rather long history of playing virtually every platformer to come into existence during the indie boom, as well as quite a few other indie games. I’ve played Meatboy, Binding of Issac, Gunvolt, Cuphead, Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt, Classic Metroid, Warcraft 3, Final Fantasy 7,8, and 14, Left 4 Dead, Shantae, Celeste, Danganronpa, God Eater, the list goes on. What I’ve played is kind of all over the place. I don’t play many games these days, I tend to pick things that look interesting and go on a decent steam sale.
Painting Minis
I do this in moderation. Otherwise, it's a pretty expensive hobby to start...
Music
I listen to everything, save most country/rap songs. I have too many favorites to name.
Personality:
Not one to take life or the internet too seriously. Is only serious about writing well and having a good time.
For all the bluster of the Srchive, they weren't much of a fight in close quarters combat. She wiped the blood off of her fists on one of their jackets before looking up at the sky.
There, fate, the due has been paid.

Just because Su was somewhat capable without magic didn’t mean that she could just do whatever she wanted. One of the things that made Helga and Su a great team was their unique strengths had great synergy together. Now that Su couldn’t rely on her true strength, the only way she could assist Helga was to flank her opponent. Helga’s claw swinging made standing beside her not a very attractive option, and it was hard to flank Alicia when she was climbing a wall. Not normally, but with no ability to fly, it was hard for her to assist Helga as things were. But she was confident Helga could hold her own. She had the high ground, after all.
And speaking of high ground, Alicia wasn’t the only beacon girl trying to scale the building. Looking over the edge, Su could see two familiar faces: Leena and FanFan. A long, endless sigh escaped Su’s lungs. It didn’t surprise Su to see this duo here again. She was starting to get disgusted with Beacon as a whole, but all the same, these were people that Mika saw fit to save. There was no time to think, so Su just jumped.
Leena was vulnerable. She was using her sword arm to stay on the wall, and her other hand was on her mask. It wasn’t likely that she could react before Su fell to her level. Su’s acrobatics were on point, and she managed to hug Leena from behind, but her athletics needed some work. She slid all the way down to Leena’s ankles, but refused to let go of her feet. It wasn’t as graceful as Helga catching her, but it hopefully slowed her decent enough that it wouldn’t dislodge Leena’s knife. Also let’s not address the fact that Su dragged her tits against Leena’s entire back. That would totally kill the mood ktnx.
“So um.” Su had never actually learned Leena’s name. “I don’t suppose you want to turn off the ‘magic-preventing-spell-thing’, do you? I could fly us out of here.”
Of course, Su hadn’t just come down here to make a very risky barter. She was confident she could swing to some piece of architecture if things went south. Moreover, she had placed a curse on Leena. She had opened some vacuums in her blood vessels, causing her blood to stop moving to and from her arms and legs. The effects wouldn’t take hold right away, but after some time, her limbs would have used up their limited oxygen supply and stop working.
They weren’t too high up, were they?
Trixy had lost communication with the other agents, and had to make her own decisions from here on out.
Her primary objective was to protect Mariette. So long as she was alive, Justine and Sophia wouldn’t try to escape. Justine’s death would not only wipe away one of Veronica’s enemies, but it would get some justice for Betty, one of her closest friends. There was no way she was going to fuck this up. This wasn’t going to be like last time where she almost cost Veronica an alliance with the VIP.
Though it wasn’t so simple. She knew Ronin would be trying to break Mariette from… Asingalve? Asingave? Asinine? Whatever, it was the horror.
But she had no idea who this lightning chick was. Like, she vaguely remembered Tetrad saying something about a girl like that, but Trixy didn’t recall her being part of Veronica’s master plan. She was pretty sure this wasn’t part of Ronin’s trope, since she was infiltrating from the outside. No, this had to be a spy or something. Justine was the type to do something like that. Even if Trixy was wrong, Defeating Justine took priority over saving Mariette. She was already prepared to defend Mariette if it came down to it, and it had. She looked down her sights, lined up the shoulder on Lily’s outstretched hand, and fired.
Oh right, I also played like, a metric ton of Meatboy and all those ultra difficult platforms that tried to be different flavors of that. Those are not games you return to, even if you enjoyed getting rekt thousands of times to the levels.
The loss of one's magic was a detriment for almost every magical girl in Penrose, but it was less so for some and more so for others. Up until this point, Mac had primarily made use of her magic to carry out her missions. But it was hardly her only feature. She was strong, swift, and durable even without magic. It wasn't even like null field terminated all magic. She could still cast "inner" magic, whatever that was. She could keep herself invisible, which was well enough for her purposes. She'd just have to lay a smack down with her fists this time.
The Archive wasn't getting out of this one unscathed.
She charged towards the meddlers of fate, ready to tear them limb from limb.
“She's a good girl, loves her mama Loves Jesus and America, too She's a good girl, crazy 'bout Elvis Loves horses and her boyfriend, too”
”And it's a long day livin' in Reseda There's a freeway runnin' through the yard And I'm a bad boy, 'cause I don't even miss her I'm a bad boy for breakin' her heart”

For as long as Su could remember, she had never been betrayed by the air around her. As a magical girl, it had been her sword and shield. It helped her overcome every challenge she encountered. As a familiar, it rested under her wings and allowed her to fly. Even in her other lives, it was always present. Sometimes it pushed the sails of her fishing vessel, other times it allowed the mill to move. This was the only time she could remember the air letting her down. Even as Su fell, it was hard to believe the air had let go of her like that. But the ground was getting closer, and she was powerless to do anything about it. Though this wasn’t the first time Su wasn’t able to command her magic. When was the last time she had felt like this?
Ahh yes, at the rave. Then Leena was here.
She should have been in the mansion. There was also no doubt such a queer spell could be just as dangerous to her allies as her enemies. That said nothing of a stronger version that could reach her up in the sky. A small oversight, but one that she should have seen coming regardless. Though with magic being as chaotic and unpredictable as it was, it was impossible to account for every outcome.
Su spent little time thinking about her predicament, however. Perhaps if this were a “game” she would be angrily shouting about what an unfair move that was, or suggest nerfs for it, but this was Su’s life. There wasn’t anything fair about magical girl fights, and you were a fool to think that was the case. She was wholly focused on what was going to happen to her, and if she could prevent it. The disappointing conclusion?
No.
Su could do nothing but grit her teeth at the unfair hand she had been dealt. This wasn’t a great way for things to end, but at the same time, she could find peace with it.
For as long as she could remember, she had always been looking after herself. As sad as it made her that Amber had been slain, she realized that she was partially feeling sorry for herself. She’d like to think in the few months since that happened, she was able to fill her heart with different kinds of love. She fell in love with Helga, Mika was like a daughter to her, and Samantha was a friend she could reveal her most intimate secrets to. Even ones she couldn’t share with Helga. Things like… Well, that didn’t matter now. At least when her heart stopped beating, it would be filled with love.
But Su had overlooked something. In her frantic mind, she was only looking for her own way to escape her fate. She never considered other alternatives.
Those beyond her control.
Before she became a Su sandwich, Su was caught in a pair of slender arms. She turned her head to see Helga, who had caught Su mid-air. By jumping at Su at an angle and through careful movement of her arms, Helga was able to both soften Su’s fall and redirect their inertia at an angle. Think about sliding down a water slide and how there’s a long stretch of horizontal track at the bottom. It was kind of like that.
Su looked up at Helga and blinked. They had saved each other quite a few times now, but this was the first time Su realized how much the two of them had come to rely on each other. It didn’t have to be Helga who saved her however. She knew Samantha would have caught her if she was around, or anyone else she had come to know. Hell, maybe even Lily could manage it if she had been closer. It was true she needed to keep being as strong as she possibly could, but it was also reassuring to know that she was surrounded by people she could rely on. Together they could catch the other when they weren’t feeling themselves.
If this were some sappy romance, this might have been the perfect time for Su to initiate a kiss with Helga. After all, it was usually Helga who initiated that sort of thing, and it would be an interesting change of pace, and perhaps a sign of growth. But these last few weeks had been everything but a romance. Mariette wasn’t safe yet, and Beacon was still here.
“Thanks for the landing, Archer.” Su hopped out of Helga’s arms. “Seems we’re all without magic. This is your chance to really shine, Helga.” Though Su would realize that some of her magic still worked. It seemed as though it only worked inside her body, or on things she touched. “Let’s meet them head on. Mariette has more than enough forces to break through the roof. We can buy her more time.”
After Trixy’s pointlessly “Max Payne” shooting technique, she stood up to see what her attack had done. And sure enough, she had felled the weretiger. It was no more. She had gotten revenge for those girls.
It felt weird though.
Trixy had pictured her second meet up with them to be a bit more, what was the word? Romantic? Personal? Emotional? But with just a few shots, they were dead. She shrugged. She was probably being silly to expect real life to play out like a TV show.
The loss of her magic was something she barely felt. Trixy’s reflexes and speed were always her biggest assets. The only thing that tipped her off that anything was wrong at all was that she noticed the Spectacle of Eros was acting up. Didn’t matter too much, there was so much random stuff going on that she was practically invisible. Since the root hedge along the roof had been magically grown from non-magical acorns, they did not just vanish with Leena’s spell active. But doing anything beside hide behind them would be impossible from hear on out. Seemed like it paid to be a little unmagical from time to time.
Even if the weretiger’s death felt unearned, and even if things were getting pretty hecktic right now, Trixy couldn’t help but wear a goofy little grin. She had wanted to meet up with Samantha for as long as she could remember, and somehow she ended up in a relationship with Veronica’s top agent. That was totally mind blowing. Like, most girls found her too clingy to be likable, or quickly lost interest when they got bored with her. But somehow things between her and Samantha were working. It was too weird to talk about, but Samantha reminded Trixy of one of her oldest friends. She had to do everything in her power to make sure she came home safe.
Trixy aimed from the cover of the hedge. Her priority was making sure nothing happened to Samantha before she got to her destination. Though Trixy knew the perfectionist well, and wouldn’t disappoint her. Mariette’s life was the mission, and Samantha would never forgive her if she let something happen to her. Thus, attacking anything hostile that got too close to Mariette was a priority.
Akiba's Trip was some stupid fun. The combat system reveals its flaws if you try to play on a higher difficulty. Otherwise, tearing clothes off of demons to expose them to sunlight and have them explode was an amusing concept. A shame they didn't just try to improve it for the sequel and instead just kind of... yea...
As for games I loved and will never play again, too much to count really. I pretty much beat a game and then move onto other games/my other hobbies. Mind you I'm the type that will play the bajibas out of a game before putting it on the shelf. But once I move on, I move on. I do think I have some worthy mentions though.
Cave story: This was my darling for a while and I just can't bring myself to beat it anymore. Even with all the new stuff in cave story+ I'm just so done with that world. I've killed the doctor who knows how many times, even saved Curly more than once.
A Hat in Time: This game had its flaws, but how many halfway decent 3D platformers are being made these days? People are still making content for the game, but I just can't play it all. I probably spent more time playing community levels than anything else.
abyss odyssey: 2d fighter platform rougelight. Not gunna lie, I'm typically weary of indie games that try to be unique by mashing a bunch of cool keywords together but it actually works here. I'll never master the combo system and there are too many other games to play to keep playing this one.
Azure Striker Gunvolt: There's something that really draws me into these games where they grade you based on the level, and I keep vowing to get the highest rank on every level. But I don't have the patience for it. It was a really, really fun game to play the first few times though.
Pyre: Excellent game with an ending that changes based on how you play. Even the end song changes slightly depending on your achievements and shortcomings. I can't bring myself to play it again, since I feel like I had the perfect experience.
Oh, and before the steam sale ends, let me plug two more games I enjoyed.
I'm sure everyone who's going to play this probably owns it already, but Code Vein was an enjoyable experience. Edgy anime darksouls. Though while the cobat is clearly inspired by darksouls, a few things prevent it from feeling like a souls game.
#1: Everything feels less janky. Hit boxes and animations are tight, etc.
#2: You're never alone. You can play every part of the game with an AI companion, and they even have unique dialog as you explore.
#3: its... not hard. Not as hard as other souls likes.
If you want anime dark souls, this is probably as close as you're going to get. But if you're looking for a challenge, eh, might wanna look elsewhere.
Second game I'd like to introduce everyone to is Iconoclasts, which is a puzzle platformer. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but quite a few of the bosses are "trial & error" types of challenges and the plot kind of doesn't know what to do with itself towards the end. The characters are quite charming though. A small warning though, the game does deal with some darker themes, so don't be totally fooled by the cutesy presentation. Not my favorite game, but it's a steal at 6$!
Also bonus third game: Hades is 20% off. If you have any interest in rouge-lites, Greek mythology, good gameplay, etc, it's a must play.
@FamishedPants Anyone who openly admits they play Nekopara up to volume 4 and thinks saying its bad unironically will save them probably doesn't have a worthwhile opinion on VNs. I'm sure it will be fine.
speaking of fruit, I almost purchased Newton and the Apple Tree too, but I don't want to bury myself in VNs.
