"A million times I have done this charade. The moment people figure it out, I get the boot." she thought.
"But don't you want to see the fear in their eyes when they see who you really are...? Don't you want dominion of this place, just like how you were unchallenged in Vaal Kastrix?" said the Voice.
Ciara scoffed, immediately thinking of Gulliver and Valen. "I'd love to wipe the smirk off their faces."
"It starts by building a rumor. A rumor of power. This could be the place to start."
She took a deep breath, narrowing her eyes resolutely at the Undermage. "Head Advisor, with all due respect, you have no right to ask me about my intentions. If you want answers..."
She stood from her seat, rising to her full height.
Her breath caught when she felt the cold metal of a pistol against her temple.
"Put the heart down, and back the hell up if you want your friend to live," the guard said to Ellie in a rumbling baritone, digging the gun into Dream's head.
Dream squinted at Ellie, vision blurred as she tried to breathe. The heart, glinting in Ellie's hands.
The doctor, his face turning white every time she asked what would happen if they failed. Above all else, he said, they had to keep the heart safe. They had to, even if it meant...
She snarled, her boot stamping down on the guard's foot, a burst of light bruising the bone. He yelped, losing his grip. That's all she needed, and she tore away. But in her haste, she saw his free arm reaching for her, and she slipped on panicked feet as he pushed her off the railing.
She held back a scream, staring straight down into the boiling pit below. The guard wrapped a tight hand around her ankle, and Ellie could see Dream's other foot flailing; she restrained herself poorly from kicking the guard, desperately hoping she wouldn't die.
As her captor supported himself against the railing, his pistol pointed at Ellie.
Deep, golden orbs stared back at her from within the cave.
God, she couldn't breathe.
He was monstrous. The ground trembled under her feet as his rippling, massive body exited the cave. Thunderous footsteps left cracks in the dirt, his breath sent waves of heat creeping over her skin. The transformation was slow, but it looked like something from a nightmare with the way his long teeth were bared.
A great and terrible roar sounded from his gaping maw.

Appears mid 20's | Human | She/her | Umbra Corp, Test Subject | 5’6 | 128 lbs.
Abyssal Connection: Forced Subjugation
Ghost Binding, First Slot
The ability to absorb and bind a Wild into a forced Possessive Subjugation, taling on their abilities as her own. She binds using translucent mental ropes she commands with her mind. The Wild must be heavily weakened before she can bind it. The Wild lives in her mind, essentially, and can speak with her and influence her.
Her first slot is filled with a shadow entity that attacked her and the group in the Archives Room of the Umbra Corp Space Station. She gained the ability to throw waves of black energy and tentacles of darkness that constrict. These abilities are easily dispelled with bright, piercing light.
Ghost Binding, Second Slot
VV has another slot open where she can bind a Wild to her. This slot is currently empty.
(Locked) Ghost Binding, Third Slot
VV has yet another slot open where she can bind a Wild to her. This slot is currently empty.
Goal:Discover what her role was in this mafia gang that colors her darkest recovered memories. She also wants to ensure the safety of D and A, no matter what. She feels incredibly loyal to them despite only knowing them a short time. If this means following the dark commands of the Umbra Corp, so be it.
Personality: She's quite a serious, straight-forward girl. Initially she can come off as cold, but those who can see past the chilly exterior can easily see that she cares a lot about those she's loyal to. She is a bit ruthless, able to stomach a terrible decision in order to save those around her or forward her own goals.
History: Waking up in a cold cryotube, VV remembered nothing of her past life. She only knew she was in a strange, warring place, with bodies of soldiers strewn about.
She woke with others who were the same as her, dressed the same as her, and had the same serial number designations as her. Fellow test subjects. And, despite trying to escape their predicament, VV was hit with blow after blow. Three of her fellow test subjects lost their lives, and the remainder including herself were captured and experimented on.
During these trying times, she recovered a few of her memories. But the only truth of herself she could garner was that she had fallen in with a really, really messed up mafia. She had tried to resist them, but from her memories it appeared that didn't work. They even forced her to kill a person.
Left with more questions than answers, VV now travels with her group to the city of Ehlm in an attempt to kill the Wild King.
Inventory: Umbra Corp outfitted her in a slick dark skin suit, Abyssal Energy rebreather face mask, a shoulder travel pack filled with ration bars, bottles of water, and first aid kits with spray-on salves.
NPC List
The Lawless
Vin Maul
35 | Human | He/him | Lawless, Leader of the Bears
Abyssal Connection: None
Description: Vin had a tough life, constantly scraping by to live another day. He felt into gang life, and quickly rose in the ranks. He became so proficient at his job due to his cunning and ruthlessness, that even the boss began to fear his unpredictableness.
It was around this time that Vin took some of the men he worked with and ditched his old gang, forming his own called the Bears. Named after a rare and powerful beast not often seen in the Dust, him and the Bears began taking names. They cut out hearts from weaker Wilds, doing trades with Umbra Corp. Umbra Corp began hiring them as bounty hunters, sent to track down specific targets like Ghost Corp officials. However, they lead by their desires, and aren't opposed to going against Umbra Corp for quick gains.
The Bears are outfitted with abyssal energy pistols and daggers. Vin himself has an abyssal energy rifle, and he's quite the good shot.
Savio Teq
38 | Human | He/him | Lawless, Leader of the Red Embers
Abyssal Connection: Possessive Subjugation
Pyromancy
Savio is subjugated by a phoenix-like Wild, allowing him full control over and creation of fire.
On the low end, he can create sparks and flames. On the high end, he can create fireballs, vortexes and walls of fire.
He is susceptible to water. If he gets wet, he is unable to produce flames. Likewise, water can put out his fire.
Description: Savio is like the big brother to Vin of the Bears. He was Vin's previous boss before Vin decided to up and leave the Red Embers, and create his own gang. Savio was pretty bitter for a while, but eventually softened up to the idea since Vin gave them such good trading deals.
So, whenever Vin has a problem, it's usually Savio that comes to clean up the mess. Savio is fairly proud of his arsenal. Not only does he have a possessive Subjugation, he has amassed wealth for his gang. He currently owns a tank with high-impact shells. They may not be AE shells, but they are enough to demolish a building. He and his men have AE rifles.
Vin is ruthless, but Savio is even more ruthless. His Wild, the Makau, has a deep set desire to overthrow the current Wild King, and rule the Wilds. To this end, Makau is more Lawless-aligned, and will happily assist Savio in taking down other Wilds for their hearts.
Savio has business with Ghost Corp and Umbra, sometimes causing fights between the two factions for profit. He is not against giving away tips for profit either, such as where Ghost Corp or Umbra can unearth a Wild or tech to try and overthrow each other.
Dex
39 | Human | He/him | Lawless, Leader of the Ravagers
Abyssal Connection: None
Description: Dex has always been the leader of the Ravagers, the one reason why humans with a Possessive Subjugation are few and far in between. However rare to find, Dex owns tracking dogs that are able to sniff out hearts with a Possessive Subjugation or Forced Subjugation in humans.
The Ravagers elicit cold fear in most Lawless for a good reason. Dex and the Ravagers don't let anyone get in the way of them and their target. However, they differ wildly compared to the Bears, Red Embers, or other factions.
Dex never sells the Wild hearts he finds. Never pursues Wilds, only humans. Humans that dare to even look at Dex the wrong way… Well, just like the Wild hearts, they end up on him and his mate's plate.
Yes, they are cannibals of the heart. They'll eat any human heart, but they prefer ones touched by Wilds.
Ghost Corp
General Solen
42 | Human | He/him | Ghost Corp, General
Abyssal Connection: Possessive
General Solen is possessed by a powerful Wild known as the Three-headed Cerberus. Its heads are shaped like dragons, while its body is shaped like a behemoth-like dog. Each head is assigned a different element. The red head's affinity is fire. The white head's affinity is ice, and the blue head's affinity is electricity. The Three-headed Cerberus, known as Apollo, only allows General Solen to use its ability in a righteous way, causing suffering to the wicked.
Tri-Elemental
General Solen is able to create, manipulate, and shoot fire, ice, or electricity from his body. He can only use one element at a time, and there's a slight cool-down to switch between elements of about ten seconds.
Cerberus Transformation
In extreme circumstances, General Solen can undergo a transformation, turning into a mimicry of his Wild's form: a three-headed dog. It's size is about the height and width of a one-story building. After a transformation, the general is usually too exhausted to do much else.
Description: The leader of the Ghost Corp, who gives most commands and enacts the will of the Gilded Circle. Every strategic attack on Umbra Corp's supply chains and military bases within Dust was called by General Solen.
The general has a slight obsession with the Wilds, and tries to reduce the number of Ghost Corp attacks on the Wilds. Instead, he has asked their supplier to restock their raw material of Wild hearts through the Lawless. The general has even gone as far as to include some friendlier Wilds into their ranks.
Some Lawless have tried stealing from and harassing the Ghost Corp units, but General Solen is quick to extinguish these outbursts, often using lethal measures to drive the message home that Ghost Corp is not to be messed with.
He's a no-nonsense general, with a laser-like focus and hunger for victory. He is cold to mostly everyone except the few within his ranks that have earned his favour.
Le Fray
22 | Human | He/him |
Abyssal Connection: Possessive Subjugation
Serpent Sense
The ability to hear heartbeats in a 60 foot radius, and the ability to discern whether those heartbeats are subjugated, and what type of subjugation.
Flying Serpent
Le Frey is possessed by a Wild that looks similar to a flying serpent. He is able to take the form of this flying serpent, which is about the size of a building. He is able to fly and strike like a whip with his tail, that has enough impact force to break bones. He is only able to transform for a few hours at a time, and finds himself exhausted after each transformation, requiring rest afterwards.
Description: From a practice Ghost Corp isn't proud to admit, Le Fray was picked up as an orphan and trained in a Ghost Corp orphanage since he was little to be a soldier. He was beaten until he bled, followed a strict regime, and molded. Safe to say, he had no childhood.
Its another secret practice of the Ghost Corp to leave special soliders alone in the blue woods of the Wilds, hopeful that they will become subjugated. This only has a 30% chance of working. Most of the time the soldier ends up dead. But lucky for Le Fray, he was chosen. He was possessed by Inu, a flying serpent-like Wild, who took a shine to all of Le Fray's suffering.
His power, mixed with his sharp mind and duty to orders made him suited to the position of high captain, stationed in the council of captains that serve directly under General Solen. He serves Ghost Corp and the general faithfully, often being sent on small team missions due to his versatility.
As a side note, Le Fray's orphanage spoke in the now defunct French language. He speaks both French and English. And of course, Inu speaks the Wild language.
The Wilds
Cercyes
??? | Wild | He/him | Wilds, Shepherd of the Dead
Abyssal Connection: Natural Subjugation
Will ‘o Wisp
Creates a bright blue flame that physically burns flesh, but also has the mystical properties to usher out the souls of Wilds and amalgamations, what Wilds call those with a Wild heart, yet are Human.
This flame is often lit on the top of his lamp post.
Path to Heaven
Has the ability to usher Wild and amalgamated souls to the afterlife. Can create these pathways and traverse through them, sometimes tunneling through dimensions to quickly traverse the world.
Description: Cercyes is one of many Shepherds of the Dead, which act similar to the Benefactor's Angels of the Dead written in the holy texts. Cercyes is tasked with ushering souls of passed on Wilds and amalgamations to the afterlife.
He coaxes out the soul of a Wild who has met an untimely end of having their heart ripped out, or succumbing to sickness. He then escorts that soul to Heaven, or Hell, if necessary.
He doesn't get much involved with the politics of the factions. At least, that's what he’d like to tell himself. But there's a sickness overtaking the Dust and the tear in the sky. The truth, he’s sure, will come out sooner or later.
Ability to disappear into the environment - Natural Camouflage. More effective in Natural Areas.
Hunter
Ability to track whoever the Wild has bitten just by the scent (And Taste) of their blood.
Goal: To work under the Wild King and make him Proud. Also wants to put Mimi in the ground.
Personality: Stalker is Cruel, feeds on Human Meat and Misery. Loyal to his pack and the Wild King. He’s Cruel and enjoys tormenting those who are unfortunately being hunted by himself and/or his pack.
History: Stalker has been the head of the Kings Hunters for as long as he remembers. He works tirelessly to ensure the Wild King is proud of him, much like a child wanting acknowledgement of a parent who doesn’t care. He rules his pack with an iron fist, and if other Wilds (Not his dinosaur brethren) join in on the hunts, he will not go out of his way to keep them safe.
After Mimi dared to disobey the King, he attacked them and has been hunting them ever since. It is his only soul goal to ensure that Mimi is put into the dirt by his jaws. He awaits to taste their flesh as their emotions feed him in their death.
Inventory: N/A
Roose
??? | Wild | She/her | Wild, Mimicraptor Pack Member
Abyssal Connection: Natural Subjugation
King's Curse
By sacrificing one of her feathers, she is able to curse a human or wild with a debilitating curse that stems from the restless souls bound to the Wild King. This curse causes the human to open their own door into the Abyss, for better or worse. Side effects include hallucinations, migraines, poor motor functions, numbness, inability to talk, inability to form cohesive thoughts, confusion, and short term memory loss.
Description: A favored pet of the Wild King, Roose was always following them around in the world of Wilds before the Great Tear. When her pack duties were done, such as acting as a gopher for Stalker or assisting in hunts, she was always sitting with the King, learning the ways of abyssal energy. It was by this way she was taught how to invoke the curse of the King, to her pack's delight. This curse made Roose more lethal during hunts, able to distract prey and make them easier to capture.
Wild King Thal'shael
??? | Wild | He/him | Wilds, King
Abyssal Connection: Natural Subjugation
Abilities unknown at this time.
Description: Considered one of the most powerful Wilds in known history, Wild King Thal'shael invokes a presence that demands reverence from Wilds. He is said to have enough power to kill a Wild with something as simple as a look. It was he who ordered the destruction of humans when the cursed corporation called Umbra caused the Perishing Event, tearing the sky and destroying the Wilds’ home.
Now? He called home the heart of the last bastion of civilization, Elhm. He is satisfied he has made a new home for his subjects, but will not rest until all Wilds are safe from the hunts that the Lawless and Umbra prey upon them.
Waking up in cryostasis pods, VV, M, A, Ada, and Pia found themselves in the basement of a mysterious facility overrun with corpses of military men, as if all-out war had broken out.
Moving to the main level, the group came in contact with a mysterious Wild entity. It attacked VV, but M sacrificed themselves to save VV. Ada also didn't survive the attack. However, those that survived unlocked the first tier of their powers.
Pia was snatched by the Ghost Corp and A slunk away with small wisp Wilds while VV and D defeated the entity. VV absorbed the entity in its broken state, adding a powerful weapon to her arsenal.
Eventually, the entire group was captured by the Ghost Corp, but before their captors could get away, they were stopped by the Umbra Corp, who Demanded the return of their test subjects. Ghost Corp complied, and the group was knocked out.
VV, D, A and Pia woke up in a cell. It was minutes later a scientist opened the cell door. Eventually, the group was led to the Surgery Room in the Hospital Wing, where they underwent surgery to unlock the second tier of their powers.
After the surgeries, a representative of the Umbra Corp gave the group the task to destroy the leader of the Wilds, found outside the facility. Pia refused, and was killed.
With mixed emotions, the rest of the group agreed. They were given gear, food and supplies, and sent out into the wasteland of the Dust.
That's what awaits the souls that survived the Perishing Event as they roam the Dust, what remains of the world.
Factions feud in the dying light of the world, amidst broken skyscrapers and scraps of metal. Umbra Corp will do anything to get their hands on the hearts of Wilds. The Wilds will do anything they can to wipe out Umbra Corp and everything else. Ghost Corp want to run the show, and the Lawless sell their services to the highest bidder.
And now, in a turn of events, Umbra Corp has sent out their latest test subjects, their champions, to finally put an end to the Wilds.
But you? You see them march into the city looking greener than a daisy. Soft folk not made for the harsh world of the Dust. And you get to decide what you do with them. If you want to help them, hinder them, hurt them, or turn them over for profit.
The Perishing Event is recounted with dread in the faces of the survivors of the event. It was a dark day, where Umbra Corp went ahead with classified, unsafe and downright unethical research. They tore a hole in the sky, turning the sky a permanent red, releasing Abyssal Energy and Wilds into the world.
This abyssal energy was condensed, suffocating and overpowering most of the population. The average person was subject to powerful hallucinations, and most lost their minds, killing themselves or those around them. Whoever managed to survive were hunted by furious Wilds.
After the Perishing Event, only a quarter of the population remained. The Wilds continued to hunt survivors, causing Umbra Corp to build a space station and move most of its people off the planet.
A hundred years later, the world is nothing but Dust as new factions spring up, fighting for control, and to carve a piece of paradise out for themselves on this lonesome planet.
The Perishing Event caused a lot of people to return back to the Benefactor, a deity known as a force of goodness in the world. When good things happen, or when something goes in your favour, people often chalk it up to the Benefactor.
The texts say that the Perishing Event was a last sign, and that these are the last days of the world before the Quiet Rapture. Where the good will be saved. Anyone remaining will be left to suffer alone in a dying universe.
So, most Benefactor-fearing folk are trying to be one of the ones that are taken in the Quiet Rapture, which many believe to be soon. They pray, they do good deeds, and try to make good in a dying world.
Unfortunately, even more believe they are the exception to the rule. That they will be saved no matter what evil they bring forward. This is the mentality of most of the corrupt Lawless.
There are those who worship the Abyss and the Perishing Event. However, these are on-the-fringe worshippers, cultists, and are considered heretics by mainstream religion.
The Abyssal Connection
The abyssal connection is the coveted and rare power only held by a select few among the Dust and the stars. It allows a person or being extraordinary, supernatural abilities. However, the cost is that there's a degree of suffering involved. The stronger or deeper a being's abyssal connection is, the more they have suffered.
An abyssal connection can be physically seen by how black a person's heart is. These are called abyssal hearts or Wilds hearts, and can be taken and sold for a high price as material.
When an abyssal connection is too deep, there is too much contact with the Thing in the abyss, thus resulting in hallucinations, deteriorating of the mind, and eventually succumbing to madness.
There are different types of abyssal connections, as denoted below.
Accomplished by surgeries on the heart that exploit the test subject's suffering. This method is exclusive to Umbra Corp. They select only those with the greatest suffering in their life as candidates, and begin the subjugation of an abyssal connection. It's usually so potent that they have to routinely memory wipe their test subjects so they don't go mad. As, of course, to have a deeper connection means more contact with the Thing in the abyss, the source of power, and of madness.
This method is the most common way a human gains an abyssal connection in the world of Dust. It is when a Wild is attracted to the scent of suffering a person has on them, and begins to permanently haunt them. Their influence is wrapped around a person's soul, connecting the Wild and the human telepathically. As the human suffers or feels emotions of fear, guilt, and dread, the Wild feasts on these, and their connection deepens. On occasion, the human can unlock new powers as the connection gets deeper.
Natural subjugation is exclusive to Wilds only, and is their natural state. Due to having originated from the Abyss, their connection with it is their strength. However, though Wilds have more endurance regarding their mind, they are not immune to the effects of the abyss. It's like a regulator: The more powerful a Wild is, the more likely it is it will succumb to madness and destroy itself.
Technology
The use of Abyss Energy is what powers most, if not all tech. Tech that still uses electricity is considered archaic. This dependence on Abyss Energy is what powers the continual hunt of Wilds for their hearts, as the heart of a Wild powers Abyss Energy.
People pay good money for Abyss Energy; it's certainly not cheap. The more wealth you have, the more Abyss Energy gadgets you have, typically. For example, the Umbra Corp are easily the most wealthy faction. They are the only ones with a space station, cryostasis containers, and fancy technology that is able to inhibit Wilds easily.
Ghost Corp is known for stealing Umbra Corp's technology, either using it outright or creating discount versions.
The Wilds do not use technology, preferring their Spectral Woods to be powered by their connection to the Abyss, and that's it.
The Lawless are the poorest out of all of the factions, and can often be seen using electricity as well as Abyss Energy, when they can afford it. They typically put money into blasters that are good for both humans and Wilds, using Abyss Energy-derived bullets.
Technology like abyssal heart scanners and spectral woods finders are pretty common nowadays.
Faction Information
The Dust
The world, or what remains of it after the Perishing Event. Skyscrapers and buildings are in ruins. The sky is a broken, blazing red. And there is a distinct lack of vegetation.
This lack of vegetation gave the world its nickname, Dust, due to the excessive dust in the air as no roots were holding down the dirt. It is not uncommon for people to walk around with racial coverings like bandanas or face masks. If they're rich, they may even have an Abyssal Energy-powered face mask that filters the air.
When rain falls, it's usually a pitiful amount. That makes food and water sources less common, and often the topic of bickering and fighting.
The city of Ehlm is the largest known city of Dust. It gains its prominence due to the massive spectral woods in the dead center of the decrepit skyscrapers, with trees spanning hundreds of meters tall.
They say this spectral woods is where the Wild King lives. But the people surrounding the woods don't care about that. They only care about pilfering the fruits that grow within the woods so they can survive another day.
You'll find all manner of factions roaming this city, from Umbra Corp mercenaries, to Ghost Corp runners, to Lawless thieves and Wild haunters. The outskirts of the city split into territories that change lines every day, with battles being fought to maintain dominance. It's always better to maintain a low profile when traveling through the city, so people will often dress like Lawless to avoid most of the fights.
The Umbra Corp
Mainly stationed on their space station, the Umbra Corp delve into unethical and inhuman research to propel humanity forward. They often view their test subjects as tool, expendable in the grade scheme of things.
They have bases within the Dust, where Umbra Corp mercenaries fight with the Wilds and try to capture hearts. These hearts are then securely launched up to the space station.
Umbra Corp routinely expands their territory, pushing out Lawless, Wilds, and Ghost Corp. This causes a lot of chaos and fighting.
Umbra Corp has the technology and manpower to go toe to toe with all factions at the same time and not break a sweat.
Umbra Corp tech includes their space station, cryostorage, abyssal energy nets that act as suppression and nullifiers for those with abyssal/Wild hearts, night vision that tracks the energy signature of abyssal hearts, among other things.
The Ghost Corp
The Ghost Corp is the official body of people who had enough of being pushed around by Umbra Corp. However, they have their fair share of fights with the Lawless and the Wilds.
Ghost Corp has their own ideas with what Umbra Corp does. While Umbra Corp exploits abyssal connections, Ghost Corp reveres any person with an abyssal connection.
However, this doesn't mean Ghost Corp won't exploit those abyssal connections. They absolutely will, just with a little more compassion.
Ghost Corp's once altruistic goals have since morphed over the hundred or so years of warring. Instead, Ghost Corp wants to be the one in complete control. And they're ready to play dirty to break apart Umbra Corp and anyone in their way to get there.
Ghost Corp doesn't actively hunt Wilds. They instead leave that ‘dirty work’ to the Lawless. They then buy those resources from the Lawless, often having to fight over the price as Umbra Corp always pays more, and pays handsomely.
It's not uncommon for trades between the Lawless and Ghost Corp to end in gunfights, unfortunately.
Ghost Corp technology includes ripping off Umbra Corp's smaller tech, as well as fashioning their own abyssal grenades, causing paralysis to those with abyssal/Wild hearts.
The Lawless
The thugs. The stragglers. The gunmen with no morals, ready to cut you for a coin in your purse or a black, abyssal heart in your chest.
The Lawless are like ants of the Dust, in enormous numbers. It's their main strength. What they lack in technology they make up for in numbers and hunger. Lots of hunger.
Lawless are often seen toting abyssal energy blasters that can punch holes in humans and Wilds alike, if they're of the richer variant. If they're poorer, then they carry around archaic guns with regular iron bullets, swords and daggers. Their establishments are usually powered by electricity, not Abyss Energy.
The Wilds
The Wilds live in the last real vestiges of plant growth: The Spectral Woods. Spectral woods can be found propped up in the most unlikeliest places all over Dust. It's these woods that are homes of the Wilds.
Spectral woods are attacked only by the most brave or reckless factions, like Umbra Corp or the Lawless. They are heavily populated by Wilds and one can easily be overwhelmed if they find themselves within one. Most people give these bastions a wide berth, giving Wilds a safe haven to rest.
Some humans dare to traverse the spectral woods in hopes of obtaining the blue fruit within, a delicious and sustainable fruit that the Wilds don't actually eat, merely admire.
Wilds are the supernatural monsters that came through and overwhelmed the world when the Perishing Event happened and the sky tore apart. They can be corporeal or spectral, and typically look unnatural to human eyes in appearance.
Wilds feast on human emotions such as grief, fear and dread. They also feast on humans directly. Due to the fact that Wilds devour negative emotions, they find themselves haunting suitable humans that give off a lot of these emotions, keeping the humans alive by bestowing powers on them so the Wild, in turn, can remain sustained. Wilds consider this to be a symbiotic relationship.
Not all Wilds are evil. Some feast on positive emotions, though they are rare, and prefer to help humans.
The Wilds’ heart is blacker than black, a product of abyssal connection. This black abyssal heart causes weaker Wilds to be hunted by Umbra Corp and the Lawless.
Wilds are hateful towards Umbra Corp for being responsible for tearing a hole in their world, causing Wilds to flood the earth. They tend to be cautious of Ghost Corp, as Ghost Corp are not known as Wild heart hunters. However, Wilds are vehemently violent against the Lawless, which are known to specifically antagonize and hunt Wilds.
Wilds coordinate with each other under the order of their leader, hoping to wipe out Umbra Corp one day.

Heya peeps, I think its best for me to take a pause/drop out here. Life hit me just when it was looking good and I'm just exhausted at this point. Feels like I can't promise consistent postings at the moment as much as I like the concept we got here.
No worries, Twanny, I completely understand. I will puppet your people for a little while if you do decide to return. :) I hope life gets better for you.
Feeling a bit lawless or maybe ghost resistance, but I'll confirm when the OOC is up.
Excellent to hear! I was hoping someone would lean towards Lawless. Of course, the OOC will give a lot more information, so you can choose whichever you want.
The OOC is nearly complete, I hope to have it up in a few days.

She took a deep breath, narrowing her eyes resolutely at the Undermage. "Head Advisor, with all due respect, you have no right to ask me about my intentions. If you want answers..."
She stood from her seat, rising to her full height.
"You'll have to duel me for them."

"I'll drop her, I swear I'll drop her!"

She needed to run. Now.
