Current Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy has an ordinary-looking MC that to the world he'd been Isekai'd to, the humans find him incredibly ugly.

Heaven has exactly one lawyer, but don't tell anyone. Mary Todd's still looking for him.

Woke up Christmas night and there was Santa glaring at me from the door. At least I think it was Santa. We had a marine neighbor, or maybe it was dad? Only neither one had a beard.

Bio

I am a seven-foot tall minecraft-playing hindu guru drag-queen alien.

Possessor of an Ancient Device™ Model 17. No, I don't know what it does. No, you can't play with it.

Pronouns: It. As in: "What is it? What does it want? Why is it here? Oh my god, it's got my... <insert random body part or object here>"

Likes: World Domination, Writing, Rpg, scifi/fantasy, anime, sketchup 3d models, and anime music videos.

Companions: a host of characters from other games, my personal muse Penny (as in Bad), and the Badger gang - Toothpick, Buttons, Shark, and Mongo. They grew up in the balcony of an old theatre that played a lot of gangster movies. Normally benign, but may invade the OOC forums.

Sounds interesting, to say the least. I like the sound of breaker, myself.
Ilyana's stomach clenched and began to burn, like it always did before a battle.

"Un... undead?" the half-human demands from Nemeia, her voice guttural from the pain that made her sweat. Irritably, she wipes her forehead with her free arm. "Tomb? What's going on, did you know this was here? Is this why the caravan stopped early?"

She plunges the tip of her cutlass into the dirt, then squats, her left hand going for the flask she kept on her hip. Fumbling with the cap, she took a couple swallows, then tightened the cap and putting back in its usual place.

"Well?" she demands again, her voice harsh and unforgiving like the grave. Many a king had been buried with his wealth, but what did they expect to find here, of all places?
Goblins are feral and like slimes. Good to know. Do they have a language?

This all sounds like spicy drama. I like it. But just to get the story straight:

<Snipped quote>

This character's mother slept with the prince on his wedding night, carried the baby in secret, and after the baby was born, she brought it to the mage and the man-in-arms that raised it. And the baby, of course, is your character?

I think I followed, but I wanted to be sure.

Yup. And really the housekeeper (or towerkeeper?) Raised her. The Man-at-arms just trained her when she got older.
I don't know she'll fit in with your narrative - a half-dark elf, raised by a mage (well, his housekeeper) and his man-at-arms in a sort of twisted revenge plot for being fired from his job as a court mage by the prince when he assumed the throne. On the prince's wedding night, he wound up in the wrong bed, and her mother delivered her to the mage after she was born.
Hola @Expendable, @twannyman, & @rush99999!

I'm taking my time getting this RP up and running. There should be enough information there for you to start brainstorming up characters or asking questions.

This RP will likely be up and running with a decent number of missions to choose from by next week. If you have any ideas or would like to help CO-GM it, please let me know.

Thanks!

Sorry! The character I had in mind is not a mage or a warrior, so I'm re-casting.
Ilyana draws out her cutlass, veering towards the noise... and a loud, sing-song sort of booming voice. It had to be the short giant. Pushing her way through the brush, she came cross the giant's trail, and followed along, arriving on their heels at the entrance of the tomb. Not was the giant alone. There was two other white-haired half-human men with Galaxor, making her self-conscious for a moment about her blonde hair - another difference.

"Ah," she drawls, lowering her cutlass and nodding her head. "I'm Ilyana, I just came in to fetch some fallen branches for a fire, later. What's going on here? What's that?"

There was something very odd about this, but she couldn't fault them if they sent her back.

I disagree. We're a smart bunch; we can remember the details of recurring characters, as we already see people doing with Hoogarth. And if someone does forget, I'm here to remember. Making a whole CS for a character nobody plays is a lot of work and a lot of reading for no real gain, and rubs my GM'ing instincts the wrong way.

Forgive me, I am merely mortal. It also helps to remind others like myself when my character is interacting with that character so their details and perhaps their history helps me craft a better scene.

Harold seems like a lovely lad.

He's just a sketch, a basic description and a point about his personality. Had we dug in deeper, perhaps we'll learn he joined the pilgrimage to escape the farm. Or gambling debts, and what he must do to pay them off.

Still, one can have fun with a sketch.
Being the GM should exempt you from character sheets or smth.

Important Non-Player Characters should have a character sheet, for much the same reason players create character sheets - to remind them of their character's details.

Minor characters who won't be interacting much with the players should have a brief writeup if only for you to reuse them again. Like the Quartermaster's Assistant - Harold - This teen boy makes you think of a strutting cat. He has round chestnut eyes. His fine, wavy, neck-length hair is the color of varnished wood, and is worn in an unruly style. He is very short and has a graceful build. His skin is pale. He has a wide forehead and small hands. He wears a green beret, a tanned leather jerkin, a dark green peasant blouse, dark brown breeches, and a tanned leather belt with a small knife in a sheath. He's usually barefoot. He likes to flirt with the girls when they pick up their supplies.

Harold really doesn't need much more. Some will never get a write-up, good for a scene and gone.
Haven't seen the thread yet....
