The answer was immediate and bright. "Oop, sorry! My name is Miriam, but everyone calls me Mimi!"
She glanced at Erin again, then she met Jane's bright blue eyes with her own sparkling amethyst pair and her face spread into a huge smile. She reached out both hands, grabbing hold of Jane's and shaking it vigorously. "Delighted to meet you! Santorini! Mimi--" She exhaled a long breath and her voice dropped to a more reasonable and mellow tone, "Mimi Santorini. I live on a big hill just outside town." She gave a few little hops, suddenly filled with energy, and then let out a somewhat self-conscious laugh. "A-hehe, sorry about that. We don't get new people around here very often, y'know?"
"Anyway," she continued after a moment, "General store, right? That's where you said you were going? Mind if I come with? Out for my usual stroll," she winked at Erin, "and it's always better with friends."
