Bio

Hello there,

I've been forum RPing for about 13 years; got started on lavendereyes.net, which was a Forgotten Realms/Drizzt Do'Urden fansite, before moving to the old roleplayerguild.com! I've also dabbled in RPing in a few MMO's like Champions Online, SWTOR, and WoW but forum adventures are definitely my preference. I like just about any kind of RP in high-casual and advanced, based on whatever mood I'm feeling (typically high-fantasy, sci-fi, and/or certain fandoms). I love writing and do think of RPing as a way to develop my character and scene writing skills, which basically means I'm always looking for realistic and fluid ways for my characters to learn, grow, and develop over the course of an adventure. I don't ship my characters but do occasionally allow them to fall into a relationship, if they are naturally guided in that direction.

You can take a look at some of my saved characters here, if it interests you.

I also have a deviantart page, though I hardly ever update it.

Thanks for reading! I'm always up for a good chat.

I would love that, but considering only 8 people are getting in I wanted to make sure we had at least 1 fish person.

Yeah, I may rework Rinn as a different type of smarmy noble if we have another spoony bard. I'll wait for the OOC to go up and for everyone to start putting submissions in.

Max instinctively slowed up as the crowd pulled ahead of him and reached the doors of the cafeteria, knowing well not to get between a monster and its dinner. He gave polite, awkward smiles when ever a gleaming pair of eyes turned his way, offered a nod and a 'good evening, Mr. So-and-so' but was mostly happy to fall into the background as he slipped in shortly after Ms. Iris and Mr. Alphonse and moved to the back of the line forming at the counter. He saw Ms. Velvet and Mr. Qaymu hunched over a chess board and Mr. Khalid at a table by himself. Max had the sudden urge to go over and speak with Mr. Khalid, the man had always been so polite, but the overwhelming feeling of unspeakable dread that filled his soul anytime he was in the monster's presence made it difficult to work up the nerve. His attention was diverted, however, as Chef Borkus began gesturing wildly and barking orders at Gurnak and the other cafeteria staff.

The large human slowly backed out of line as the pigman began using a rather large cleaver to gesture violently around the kitchen and power-walked straight back to reception where he was almost trampled by Dimitri who didn't offer so much as a snort as he stomped down the hall, his gaze focused and hulking form moving with determined purpose. Peeking his head around the corner he saw Ms. Theria and one of the sloombas crouched before the desk. He could already sense the anxiety pouring off the gorgon as he coughed lightly to draw her attention. "Uh... Ms. Theria..." He gave her a wide, apologetic smile as he approached the desk. "I know you're probably busy... but well, Chef Borkus is closer than usual to turning the next unruly cafeteria patron into a dinner special. It sounds like the freezer is on the fritz?"
Yeah, no problemo. If you wanted to avoid AI artwork, I’d recommend going to either safebooru or danbooru instead. Much more robust tags at play and includes properly sourced images in most cases.

Of course, it’s purely anime art there.

I have nothing directly against AI art, per se, but it was disheartening to see 99% of searches on google, deviantart, and pintrest all result in AI slop. Even worse when some folks were selling them.

But thanks for the recommendations!
@LupusIntus FYI, if you wanted to source your pic, you may as well dig a bit to source the artist instead.

Eya go.

Much appreciated. Spent a solid HOUR wading through the sea of not-good-at-all AI art and was overjoyed to find an actual artist.
I will get a post up... TONIGHT!
"Hey y'all, I heard we're making a village from scratch so I'm here with no skills to help with that." <3
-the bard everyone hates loves

EDIT: If we really need someone with... skills that are helpful, I'm considering adding in a lil' magic for doing those really basic chores.

It is with this post that I intend to announce my resignation from Umbra Rose. I have been stewing on the thought for a few days; today I decided to act on that thought.

Feel free to consider Suzy "gone". She's a ghost, after all.

Sad to see you and her go! 🥲 ❤️

If you have a certain mythological being in mind for the 'evening shift' at the URC front desk let me know and I can edit!

She turned to Max, suddenly remembering what she wanted Max for early on. “Max, I’m sorry. Could you order two new blood fridges and some extra bags? The fridge in Lady Coventry’s room is broken, and I want to keep one here in the reception… in case of emergencies.”

"O-oh! Of course, Ms. Theria." Max said, smiling at his manager. He wilted only slightly when too many pairs of beedy little eyes turned all at once to focus on him with a look he could never pinpoint exactly but just assumed it was somewhere between indifference, affection and hunger. The clerk gave the many snakes an awkward smile which turned more awkward when he realized he was smiling at a bunch of snakes, though they certainly seemed far more intelligent than the garden variety, before dropping his eyes to his work. Max made a quick sticky note to contact the URC mediator at the local blood bank before making sure the new refrigerator order would be delivered within a buisiness day.

Theria’s stomach growled, making her cheeks turn slightly red, a very visible feature due to the abundance of green on her head. “I’m sorry. I haven’t had breakfast yet… I’m sure Max can help you. I’m just going to get something to eat.” She said as she made her way towards the restaurant. Of course, Kaki the gluttonous snake happily hissed at the idea of food coming near her.

Max looked up suddenly, his own cheeks burning red as he made eye contact with Iris and remembered the werewolf's enthusiastic offer to 'change him'. "Have you... uh... thought about... getting a job?"

Late Afternoon

Max turned the key, locking his apartment door with pleasant sigh and strolled down the hallway humming the newest Sabrina Carpenter track. Gone was his button down shirt and tie, replaced with a black Into the Spiderverse graphic-T, khaki shorts and sandals. Surviving another shift at Umbra Rose was always something to be celebrated, though today hadn't been particularly harrowing. The worst it got was when the swamp creature in building 3 had gotten his wading pool filter clogged with muck... again. Max would have to speak with Theria about reminding him that the management needed to approve all additional swamp foliage because he was sure Benoit had been bringing in some new types of swamp grass that wreaked havoc on the pool's systems.

He rode the elevator down to the ground floor and quickly ducked his head into reception. "Have a great shift, Dimitiri!" The massive minotaur, bulging muscles straining the limits of his button down shirt, sat hunched in the too-small-computer chair. He simply snorted without looking up from the 'Livestock Weekly' magazine pinched between his large fur-covered fingers. Dimitrios wasn't one for idle conversation and Max could respect that.

The ground floor was mostly quiet, at the moment, so he strolled towards the cafeteria for a late post-shift lunch.
