Megan Pendragon

Location: Merlin's Tower
Skills: N/A

Megan glanced up as she came down the stairs, hearing one of the girls say good morning to her - sadly, Megan couldn't remember her name at all. All she could recall was that the girl had turned into a mermaid or a fish or something the previous day, much to Megan's annoyance as they had been busy trying to rescue Jack. Merlin then started explaining people who were going to various locations, most of them seemingly made up. She tilted her head ever so slightly, trying to piece together what she had missed. Merlin asked if there were any questions, but Jack's statement filled in the gaps. It was time, then. They were meeting their parents.

The very idea made Megan feel like she was filled with knots and scorpions - and not in a fun way. And then, after receiving some clothing from Merlin, the mermaid girl came back and announced that they were all going together... Megan assuming that meant Mermaid Girl, Jack, and herself - until she caught a glimpse towards another girl and realized they may have a fourth. "... I'll go grab my things then..." Megan said, before going back up the stairs, her chest feeling tight as she gathered her possessions, and then went back down.

There were portals now? And they didn't seem to have labels? And necklaces? The entire thing was giving Megan a headache and she gave her brother a look - a look that Megan would have as a kid when she was frustrated, cranky, and feeling out of her depth.

Runa Johansson

Location: Hotel Valhalla - Feast Hall of the Slain
Skills: N/A

Runa nodded at Nadia's quiet comment about Dalisay - she didn't have the best opinion of Dalisay, and it was only slightly tempered by the fact that Klara was friends with her. She didn't understand how Klara could be friends with someone who Nadia felt so strongly opposed to, but Klara had been around for a while. Maybe Dalisay had some sort of redeeming quality that Runa and Nadia just weren't aware of. Runa wasn't too sure when Dalisay had died, although she couldn't imagine a medieval person named Dalisay.

She couldn't remember ever being in Helgi's office before - she had no idea what to expect from the place either. She wondered what sort of possessions Helgi would keep, although she guessed that it wouldn't be too different from the things the rest of them held onto. They were all dead - some more than others now sadly. Runa shook her head at Astrid's question - she didn't know anything about the killings, where they had happened or if there was anything connecting them. All she knew was pretty much the information that her father had shared with everyone not too long ago.

Runa Baldurdattir

Location: Klara's Ship
Skills: Asgardian Magic

Runa frowned slightly, considering the argument posed for beginning a search in Asgard. It had a certain amount of logic and reasoning to it, but it was also by no means foolproof. There were strong magical entities across the galaxy, other places where it could be easy to hide an infinity stone - the thought of encountering one sent a chill down her spine. She knew the madness and destruction her uncle, Loki, had caused on Midgard with such a weapon. She didn't want to see what horrors someone else could unleash with one... this disintegration of realities... It was wrong.

But she also couldn't think of anything else that powerful. "Perhaps some Asgardian in clothing for everyone would be in order - mortals are not typically welcomed on Asgard, but a change in dress may make things easier." She then focused, hoping that her magics would behave normally, and she cast a spell. Suddenly, everyone would be in more Asgard appropriate attire - wearing looks that would not be out of place in Odin's court. Runa herself was wearing a black dress, rather similar to what her grandmother, Frigga, might have been seen wearing aside from the color.

Guin Stark

Location: Klara's Ship
Skills: Telepathy

The argument for heading to Asgard was as good as any. "Maybe Odin can do his magic mumbo-jumbo and figure things out even if the asshole isn't hiding there," Guin said with a shrug. "Do you think we'd have a quick time for a photo op on the Rainbow Bridge? Speaking as a bi person, that'd be hella cool for my Twitter profile, although it is a bit late for Pride... Or early, I guess." She was deflecting her own fear of the entire situation with humor and jokes, a time honored coping mechanism in the Stark Family. At Pietro's comment, she replied, Just try not to steal anything, babe. Thor might show up and kick your ass.

Wow, so much faith in me Guina.

When Runa cast her spell, Guin's clothing was changed from an outfit she was comfortable in to an Asgardian purple dress. Guin wrinkled her nose, staring as she picked at the drape like fabric. "Ewww? A fucking dress? What do I look like, a space Barbie?" Guin complained.

I don't think it's that bad, it looks nice, Pietro responded mentally to her.

Guin shot Pietro somewhat of an annoyed glare. I feel like a princess, she grumbled.

And that is wrong because?

I don't want to be a princess - they all just sigh and fall onto couches and wait for people to rescue them. Also, I can't fight in a dress, I'll trip over my feet. It's impractical.

And?

Guin huffed. This was reminding her more of Wanda's world - where Pietro had just wanted her to wear pretty dresses and not do anything that might break a nail. I don't like it.

You'll live, we need to kind of blend in anyway, hopefully.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Camp Half-blood: Armory
Skills: N/A

Leda laughed. "Nah, I meant - do you think this is more like lingerie or armor, not which one you'd rather I wear," she explained. She then changed into the armor as Kiera had requested, feeling a little bit silly - but armor always made her feel silly. It really hadn't been appropriately updated with the times, meaning she felt like she was about to perform Shakespeare in the Park or something like that. And she was really picky when it came to armor - that didn't help either. "You are right though, babe - I look smashing in gold," she agreed. She always adored gold over silver - it seemed to have more vibrance to it, more light, more color.

"Hmm, kinda reminds me of the Romans, but I think it'll keep your bits safe," Leda appraised. She then shrugged slightly at Kiera's question about college. "I dunno. Greek demigods don't usually survive that long. And us kids of Iris aren't really planners, we just kinda... go where the vibe takes us. So I guess if I'm alive, maybe. But I might not be. Or maybe I will be but I'll buy a van and travel the country giving out rainbow swag to my fellow queers. What about you?"

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: Camp Half-blood: Roman Side of Camp
Skills: N/A

Nancy huffed, not angry at Niah, more angry at how her power was limited. This was the only time she would want to act without senatorial oversight, the one situation where she believed she could just make the decision and the universe would be better for it. Leandra wasn't just a megabitch - she was a traitor, someone who was actively trying to sabotage everything they worked for - to cause Mads to die... to cause countless hundreds if not thousands of demigods to perish. Nancy wasn't even certain sentencing Leandra to exile was good enough. It'd be all the safer to kill her. "I'm going to kill her," Nancy muttered to Niah. She didn't know if she wanted Niah to advise her not to do that or to start thinking about where they could hide the body.

They had a small audience now. "Leandra stole the gem from the Legion, an action that would endanger us all," Nancy explained sharply - her anger not directed at those asking, but instead at the child of Cupid. She knew Leandra hated her, but she had always (falsely apparently) assumed that Leandra wouldn't endanger Rome with anything beyond inaction. "Restrain her. We'll need to create a cell for now. And convene the Senate - this needs to go to trial. She committed treason against the Legion, against New Rome, against the gods."

The Geneva Convention.: 8:10 A.M.

Inside the Presidential Suite...

"You'd be surprised at the damage some people do to the toilet in the suites," Tony quipped, replying directly towards Evelyn's comment about it being weird for cleaning staff to have weapons. "It's me, by the way. The leader of the Avengers. So you all will want to... oh yay, we have a cat. The cat clearly knows who the good guys are."

"The cat is a flerken," Captain Marvel corrected Tony. They had all pretty much unmasked by now, allowing everyone to see who everyone was. "... And I think belongs to Director Fury."

"He also has a unique mechanic the GM gave him of being able to detect skrulls with 100% accuracy," She-Hulk commented. The rest of her group more or less had learned to ignore the odd things that she said by now. In many ways, she reminded them of Wade Wilson aka Deadpool - always talking about these odd GMs (probably some sort of spiritual deity or something?) and whatnot.

"That is Fury's cat," Hill confirmed. "Goose is... special."

"Flerken," Captain Marvel repeated. "Interdimensional stomachs, tons of tentacles. Deadlier than most species in the galaxy, including terrans."

Niah would be able to see the last few weeks of events for Maria, confirming she wasn't a skrull. And thanks to the contact, Maria would be able to pick up Niah's blind sense temporarily, allowing Maria to find things accurately even in total darkness.

"I'm not trying to get hurt!" Raynor grumbled. He really wasn't. It was a bit embarrassing for him. He was an Asgardian - he was supposed to be the toughest of the group but lately, he had only been able to really function as a lie detector. It was basically just a tiny little parlor trick, not something that he particularly prided himself on. Sure, he was the God of Lies but he didn't really think of himself that way - he thought of himself as Raynor, future husband of Sparky. She was his world and his reason for being.

Goose rushed ahead into the room and Raynor looked at Sparky, hesitating for a moment as he didn't know what to say. He settled for tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear, before heading into the suite with the others. Goose seemed to be completely happy in Flynn's arms - Raynor's eyes darted around, taking in about a full team of Avengers and most of the Fantastic Four.

"... Robot? Did I miss something?" Raynor asked, incredibly confused by what Kwassi had said. Black Widow had wasted no time in disarming Kwassi, doing so effortlessly and pinning him to the ground.

"We're fighting robots?" Amelia asked, also very confused. She hadn't heard anything about this unit fighting robots and she had thought that skrulls were aliens, not machines. "... Oh, did you mix up this bloke with Stark? They do kinda look alike, loads of white people do, honest mistake," she told Kwassi, smiling at him kindly. It was the only explanation that made sense to her. Iron Man was sorta like a robot - just a robot with a man on the inside - and he kinda looked like the dude the cat was all cozy with (was his name... Finn? Milton? Biff?), just a bit older.

"I look nothing like him," Tony protested. "And you all better be done with robots - not that I read any files I downloaded from SHIELD servers as a bed time story for myself... but really, one problem at a time, people."

"...Of course you did, Stark," Hill sighed, pinching her nose. "If we're assuming the cat is right, then I'm guessing everyone in this room is fine... I don't like guessing, so explain to me what is going on."

Bonnie had lost a bit of respect for Kwassi after he called Flynn a robot. It wasn't because she was dating him or anything like that - more of that she didn't know how he had drawn that conclusion. The Flynn they had encountered earlier had been a skrull. There weren't any robots or LMDs involved in this crisis to their knowledge. It seemed like Kwassi was going out of his way to erode her opinion of him, consistently going ever downward.

But she didn't say anything like that. Instead, her mind was going a million miles a minute - thinking through the odds in which there would be a skrull in this room that Goose wouldn't notice... but also just looking at Flynn, the man she had thought was... was dead. "I thought you might have died," she told him, knowing the others could hear.

Megan Pendragon

Location: Merlin's Tower
Skills: N/A

A sense of calm swept over Megan, as she conversed with the skull. Sometimes her words would tumble out all at once, a messy cascade of thoughts and ideas. Sometimes they were the softest of sentences, punctuated by quiet emotion. She didn't feel this sort of calm when speaking with the others here - the only one who came close to understanding her was her brother. She didn't fault anyone for that, of course. Even now, she was secluded from them, isolating herself by choice. She could have been downstairs with them, forging friendships and connections... but her brain just wasn't wired that way. She liked having time alone to herself, something she hadn't been afforded so far. Everything had been mission after mission, traveling with a large group.

It was just nice to have space to breathe and think. Mina was an exceptional listener after all - the dead always were. You had to appreciate stillness in order to hear them, but Megan knew how to do so. She knew the signs to look for - bruises, defensive wounds, stomach content. She could speak the language of the dead, determining the painful stories written in their skin. She sighed, looking at the skull and wondering what had been Mina's end. "I should go, shouldn't I?" Megan whispered, before placing Mina down on the bed. She stared at the skull for a moment, before descending the tower stairs.

Runa Johansson

Location: Hotel Valhalla - Feast Hall of the Slain
Skills: N/A

Runa did indeed have a crush on the valkyrie, but she wasn't worried about whether or not they could spend eternity together. She was still just a teenager and that sort of commitment sounded scary. She didn't even know if she actually wanted to date the valkyrie - or anyone, really. All she knew was that her heart beat a little faster and she felt more self conscious than usual when Astrid was around, and she hadn't decided yet what she wanted to do about that. She didn't know if she wanted to tell someone or if she just wanted to keep it to herself.

She shrugged slightly when Astrid asked if they had a plan going forward - and then Nadia's suggestion of investigating. Truthfully, Runa would've been happiest hiding out in her room until the entire thing blew over - she had already saved the universe, it was someone else's turn now right? But she also didn't want to have her friends go off and do something dangerous and stupid without her. She'd never forgive herself if Nadia died and stayed dead if she hadn't been there to help. She hesitated for a moment as something strange happened with Lara, before more or less nodding at Nadia to say that the idea sounded fine to her - the valkyrie's presence had made Runa a little tongue tied.

The Geneva Convention.: 8:00 A.M.

Inside the Presidential Suite...

"Is everyone good on the plan?" Black Widow asked. They had made a quick stop after the tragedy in Montevideo to an old safe house she and Barton kept, allowing them all to gear up. The most important addition to their inventory were high tech facial image disguises - essentially masks that allowed them to become someone else. The Avengers (and friends) couldn't just waltz up without being recognized, so they had gone in disguised as catering and cleaning staff.

Currently, their plan was to ambush the President and reveal him as a skrull. Captain America's attack on the White House had been highly publicized. If Cap had been a skrull, he wouldn't have attacked the President. The skrulls would want to replace the President too, as he had the most power in the United States. The only logical explanation was that the President must have been a skrull and Captain America realized it, fleeing to fight another day.

"One slight problem - I think we're going to unionize, Romanoff. I'm not getting paid enough to clean POTUS' toilet," Tony quipped - although he currently looked like Tom Cruise - not exactly subtle.

"What does unionizing mean?" Princess Anelle asked, looking like Mrs White from Clue.

"It's when the workers unite in order to use their power--" Mr. Fantastic started to explain, rattling off the textbook definition, only for Iron Man to let out a loud yawn.

"You were a teacher's pet weren't you, Richards? You've got kiss ass written all over your stretchy cheeks."

Maria Hill sighed, sharing a knowing look with Black Widow. Some days, she didn't see why SHIELD needed something like the Avengers at all. In fact, they were better off without all of these superhero teams. They seemed to attract the most intelligent idiots she ever knew. "Focus, unless you want your grandkids growing up speaking skrull," Hill warned Tony.

"... If the speedster got my kid pregnant, I'm going to kill him. For real this time," Tony grumbled, before killing the lights.
Outside the Presidential Suite...

Amelia was completely and utterly brokenhearted. She didn't know if she'd ever recover from something as horrifying and terrible as this. As someone who was aroace, she never expected to feel so crushed, so shattered - but love went beyond just romance and sex. "I still just don't understand," she mumbled, dejected, "why was everyone so against trying out a barrel roll in Air Force One," she finished. She was dressed in pilot's blues, pulling a suitcase behind her that was filled with cat food. Barton's group was going to be arriving soon with the flerkens - they just needed to get into position here and rendez-vous with them in the President's suite.

Bonnie was carrying Goose in her arms, along with a medical kit. True to form, she was posing as Jakobsen's doctor. It wasn't out of the ordinary for a foreign official to have their own medical staff with them, especially after Jakobsen's 'harrowing' experience with Captain America the previous day. Niah and Sparky had also been disguised as staff to the President - Sparky was another medical personnel, whereas Niah (due to her wheelchair) was posing as Jakobsen's staffer. The rest were all in disguise as Secret Service.

"It would've drawn unnecessary attention to us," Bonnie reminded Amelia, only for Amelia to stick out her lip slightly and pout. Bonnie sighed. She didn't know Amelia very well, but from the time on Air Force One she had gathered that Amelia was a thrill junkie. It made sense with the way Amelia had ran on after Sparky and 'Maria', heading off to Asgard to save someone she barely knew. She was pretty sure if Amelia was shoved off a plane, she'd think it was the best day of her life - maybe she openly wished for something like that to happen.

Raynor was feeling much better - thanks to his Asgardian durability and quick recovery time. He had on black sunglasses, looking a bit like a douche as they were very much indoors as they walked down the hallway. He was also clearly hovering more over Sparky than the President, as if he had been assigned to protect her and not Jakobsen. But then again, who could blame him? They were walking into a den of hostile aliens bent on taking over the world and had to make sure to mess up their strategy just enough to keep some other aliens from feeling paranoid and insecure.

It really wasn't a great time for Sparky to be pregnant and working. If he had his way, she would've been somewhere far away from Midgard, somewhere safe. There were tons of other planets, ones that didn't have nearly as many catastrophes. Midgard was some sort of magnet for bad luck, somehow attracting all of the villains in the galaxy to the tiny blue world. "Anything happens, you run okay?" Raynor murmured to Sparky.

"I've got a bad feeling about this," Ricky muttered, as he tapped his keycard against the card reader and the Presidential Suite's doors unlocked. Ricky opened up the door, seeing darkness as he went inside, fumbling about and looking for a light switch.

Guin Stark

Location: Klara's Ship
Skills: Telepathy

"Oh yeah, I'm definitely taking Amidala - I need someone to talk to when Pietro's too busy with the turtle," Guin complained. The little lemur creature was pretty cute as well - far cuter than any Earth based pet options. The only pet on Earth Guin had ever really been interested in had been a tamagotchi - and she was pretty certain her father had spilled whiskey all over her tamagotchi and destroyed it when she was six. The conversation took a darker turn though - to Klara explaining that someone was trying to destroy other realities, and that the Nova Corps was out of their depths.

"Huh, so if the other group are the Guardians of the Galaxy, I guess that would make us the Guardians of Galaxies then?" Guin mused. It was a little hard to wrap her head around something so big, but it definitely sent a chill down her spine. She didn't even know how they'd begin to stop someone like that. That was above their pay grade - maybe even above the Avengers' pay grade. It seemed like more of the Fantastic Four's territory too.

"Guess that's as good a spot as any to start," Guin said, as Lance went to start punching in coordinates. Maybe it was the anxiety and the fear, but an idea came into Guin's head. Pietro was always telling her she needed to practice her telepathy more. And having his full attention right now would feel really nice. So Guin gently reached out with her powers and gave his mind a nudge to focus on her... a nudge that ended up being way stronger than intended.

Sooo how ya feeling babe?

Pietro got a confused look in his eyes for a moment, before staring right at Guin. He pulled her into his arms. Did you do something new to your hair Guina?

Guin blushed, a little surprised at how well that had worked. She had poor impulse control and had just thought she'd give Pietro a little nudge - it was fair, after all, he had used their special mental link on her before. But this was much more than a nudge. From what she could tell, Pietro seemed to only be able to think about her right then. Nope, nothing new - unless you count space shampoo as something extra.

Your hair smells like twinkies! Pietro said adamantly.

Guin couldn't help but giggle - and be at least ever so slightly disturbed. Wait, seriously? Guin asked him. I nudge your brain to focus on me and it decides to make you think I smell like twinkies? Guin explained, smirking ever so slightly.

There is nothing wrong with Twinkies! Pietro protested, ...And you did what?

But why would you want my hair to smell like twinkies? Guin asked, not answering the second bit. She had a sinking feeling in her chest - she hadn't thought this through. She hadn't even thought that it would work. Her telepathy skills were pretty much nonexistent, as she didn't practice because she didn't believe in practicing things. She didn't need to try when it came to math and science, so why should she have to try with anything else?

What did you say you did? he asked again, clearly sounding a bit annoyed now.

...I thought I'd just give you a little nudge to focus on me, Guin admitted. She was looking a little bit pale now. Yeah, she definitely had messed up. Sometimes, she was an expert at self sabotage.

Why would you do that?

The thought just popped into my head and I thought I could give it a try - I like having your attention...

But you also kind of had my attention already! Aside from the talk of the apparently all hell breaking loose thing and all!

....Maybe I wanted all of your attention? Guin admitted sheepishly. Her face had gone from pale to bright red.

But we have other things to deal you know that.

....Maybe I'm a little selfish and self centered? Guin offered. She didn't know how to fix this and was kicking herself repeatedly for being so stupid. She never had gotten a handle on her poor impulse control. And it had seemed so small, so innocent to her at the time - Pietro used the mental link to manipulate her mood all the time... Granted, he used it to calm her down when she was having PTSD flashbacks and whatnot, but still.

Okay now you are being a bit ridiculous in saying that.

Am I? Guin asked somewhat meekly.

Yup, you are.

Guin hesitated for a moment. She would've expected more yelling and shouting if he was really mad at her. Maybe it was all fine. Maybe he wasn't mad at her and she didn't need to kick herself for her poor impulse control. In a good way?

Yes.

I’m sorry babe... Guin added softly. She really did feel bad. It had seemed like a fun idea at the time - she always loved having Pietro's attention, especially when it came to hugs and cuddles. They went on so many crazy adventures all the time, it was nice to just know that she always had someone fighting in her corner. And she definitely wasn't jealous at all over his love for Mr. Dibbles.

It's okay...

If it makes you feel better you could probably easily do that to me, Guin offered, trying to lighten the mood a bit.

I'd probably do it at a time you wouldn't suspect it if I did.

But now I’ll always be expecting it, Guin argued.

Oh really? You get distracted rather easily.

I do not, I have laser focus! Guin protested. She did have laser focus - just usually on the wrong things. She tended to fixate on things that weren't the main focus of events at times, a behavior that the doctors decided to describe as ADHD, although Guin had never taken medication or anything for it.

Riiiiiiiiight.

Guin then realized she had zero idea what Bethany had just said. She really ought to have been focusing right now, with the sort of deadly odds that they were up against, but her mind kept wanting to drift to other things - Pietro, the lemur, what sort of power core this ship was running on... She wanted to run away.

Runa Baldurdattir

Location: Klara's Ship
Skills: N/A

Runa frowned ever so slightly, listening from her cross legged position on the floor to what Klara was saying. She didn't know where those rumors might have come from, besides Asgard itself. She didn't think her cousin would have stopped at space stations along the way to hear what gossip was flying around before coming to save her - Klara had always been rushing at things head first her entire life, never pausing to stop and listen. So if people on Asgard were spreading these rumors... how long had these events been going on? And why was the All Father not involved? "What does the All Father say of this?" Runa asked.

She ignored whatever was going on with Guin and Pietro, assuming Klara's presence was just setting them off - she was a love goddess after all, Runa was more or less used to it. "He's not too sure what to make of everything. The massive amounts of energy being released are concerning, and he mainly has been trying to discover what might cause it. Though what he thinks might be causing it if the rumors are true about alternate realities being destroyed well... He has an idea of what it might be, and it isn't good..."

"Spare me the theatrics, cousin," Runa said, sounding harsher than she had intended. She didn't want to be kept in suspense and anticipation. She didn't know why Klara was drawing this out for dramatic effect. "What is it that Odin fears?" she asked, standing up now from where she had been seated on the floor.

"...An infinity stone."

"You've got to be fucking kidding me!!!" Guin blurted.
