Must Saviors Die?
~@Silver Carrot (REB), @The Irish Tree (MAG), @Restalaan (YNG)~

The sudden attack threw the Varjans into disarray, allowing the rescuers to accomplish their deeds. "Ahh, I recognize you." The man named Emilio said as he looked upon Magnus. "You are Magnus correct? You have saved me twice now so I now owe you two lives. That is one more than I have, my friend." Despite the situation, Emilio appeared calm and cheerful as soon as he recognized Magnus.

However, despite Yang's best efforts to quickly leave the scene, the Varjan Warriors have regrouped and have begun to advance upon the small party. "They are trying to free the traitor! Get them!" One of the Warriors ordered. Unlike the others, this particular Varjan was larger and appeared to be in charge. It was likely that he was a Varjan Champion. Such warriors usually travelled in small teams so it was fortunate that this one appeared to be alone.

Still, they were not Varjan Champions for nothing so they should not be underestimated. The Varjan Champion charged along with his Warriors at the escaping party. There were about three Varjan Warriors each for Magnus, Rebecca and Yang. The Champion himself appeared to be going after Emilio himself so that his true mission would be complete no matter how this battle went.

The trio were now in battle. They need to be quick and smart about their actions in order to achieve a favorable outcome.

"I do respect your decision, Miss Gina. I agree with Eilidh, it is a kind decision... To protect your friend, but if you don't mind me asking, what do you mean by 'issues'? If there is something to do with violence in general...is understandable. This palce seems to be a very calm and pacific town. Bandits doesn't seem to be a rather common problem around here, am I right? Otherwise you wouldn't need help."
Bast Ragoczy

"I'm... afraid your assessment of this town is incorrect, dear sir." Gina replied as she led Bast and Eilidh. "I'm not sure if your friend Arletta mentioned this but Valerie is... not really alright." The Gandharva began to explain. "The constant attacks of bandits on this shrine-town have taken a toll on her and made her lose control more than once where she would murder in cold blood. Something not exactly accepted in the domain of Lady Eros." Gina continued. "You see, Varjo is a terrible place to live. The people there live as if each day is their last. Every day is a fight, both metaphorically and literally. So it's not surprising that some decide to flee once the opportunity rises. They're not allowed to but some do manage to escape the clutches of that dark land."

"So that leads to the present." Gina paused for a moment to sigh. "North of here is a fortress known as Ravager's Rest, once known as Railuc's Rest. That's where Varjan refugees hole up upon escaping Varjo. They can't go to Pravar, they're part of the Order and thus, an ally of Varjo. They can't go to Lymeria or Mahigan since those are 'monster' lands. And... they can't go here. We're technically still Order in their eyes and thus we can't be trusted. So they make that fortress their home and since they know nothing save for raiding, they target the shrine-town and isolated farms for supplies."

"But as followers of Eros, we've done our best to convert them to less destructive lifestyles." Gina then smiled. "And we've succeeded, you know? I've actually lived through two groups of refugees." Her demeanor then returned to gloom. "But I can't deny that there were casualties. And it is those casualties that drive Valerie mad with bloodlust. And as a friend, I cannot let her fall further."

"So there, do you have any more questions?" Asked Gina. "Also, the farmstead is pretty far from here. I don't doubt that Miss Centaur can keep up with my pace but what about Mister Gentleman over here?" She then gasped and had a smile on her face. "Oh, don't tell me. You two are actually together so you just let him ride on you. I see, I see..." The Gandharva jumped to a conclusion.

"The problem is that I don't know anything about relationships or love... And I don't really want Haley to go... It might be a selfish thing to think but..."
Freyr

"Ohhh, you like her then! You totally like her!" Bart replied, a grin on his face. "I'm no expert on the field but this is a textbook example of you liking her!" He then broke into a laugh so loud it could probably be heard all the way to Valoras Woods. "I bet Haley would be happy to hear that! You should go tell her once she gets here." He suggested a potentially very bad idea.

"You are in love, my bunny-eared friend. Or at least infatuated." Bart continued. "Though, most if not all Sirens are kind of like that though. Cheerful, happy and outgoing but I admit, there's something special about Haley. I have a feeling she's not your average Siren. She seems more... I don't know, worldly? No, that's not it..." The guild master remarked as he continued.

"Well anyway, how do you wanna do it?" Bart shifted the topic. "Do you want me to leave so you could focus? Do you want me to help you out? Start the conversation or something?" He suggested plans to your supposed confession.

A Small Problem

"A bath sounds wonderful...
Nephele Francine Megalos III

Neil was taken aback when Nephele hugged him. When she pulled away, Neil stopped her. "Nephele, I..." He started with a clear blush on his cheeks. However, he never continued and looked away. "It-It can wait. You guys have fun on your bath, okay?"

Maria and Nephele hit the guild's bathroom to relax after their long quest yesterday. The well-built bath by the Dwarves allowed the two monsters to revitalize and reinvigorate their bodies. It really made them relax. They would have fell asleep on the bath had their senses not alerted them to a presence in the bath besides themselves.

Looking around though, they found virtually no one else but each other. Until they saw, in the corner of their eyes, a scurrying little black thing. It was quick and was out of their sight as soon as it appeared, preventing identification. Fortunately, both Nephele and Maria knew that the little intruder, at the very least, hid behind the wooden bucket in the corner. They could surround it and catch it.

However, they do not know what it was. Could it be dangerous? Then extra force would be needed, no? Except this bathroom would be expensive to repair if things get too messy.

“Forgive this imputent child’s attitude. She’s just spoiling for a fight. Do you have any quests where someone like her could be needed?”
Feast

"Oh, ah, well..." The boy was still a bit intimidated but he composed himself enough to give a straight answer. "Here's the request board so ah, just... just take a look." He said as he flipped the board to give Shatter and Feast a view of the available quests. "Ah, I think most of these involve... involve fighting so... so, she'll probably enjoy them?"

"Good morning to you all. Mister Neil, is that the request board on your hands? May I take a look?"
Ars Argento

"Oh, hi Ars. Yeah, here's the request board." Neil turned to also let Ars see the requests.

-----MAIN QUESTS-----

Hey all! Say hello to @Restalaan who is a friend of mine from the most monster-girliest reaches of the webs.

I've also arranged one of his characters would meet up with the others mid-quest.

P.S. @Restalaan, you can post Yang's part in the IC now. Also, to tag people you need to put brackets at both ends of tag. Or just press the 'Mention' button.
Battle Of Dragonrage Pass

~@Eisenhorn, @Sho Minazuki~

Sordan's quick and clean dispatching of Varjan Warriors did not go unnoticed by Gnazgraz. The Varjan Warlord readied with his Steel Lance tight in his grip.

When Sordan made the first strikes, Gnazgraz was ready to block and parry them. Alas for the Warlord, he had not seen Jerod coming for him also and was taken by surprise. His defense faltered and both Jerod and Sordan hit his wrists and arms, forcing him to drop his weapon. Jerod then finished him off with a thrust from a Silver Sword into his ribs.

Life left the Varjan Warlord as he fell unto his back. Gnazgraz the Gladiator was no more.

The Varjan Warriors around all looked at awe. Their mighty leader was felled. They thought him invincible, unbreakable. Their shock was taken advantage of. Prince Alfonse and the others along with some stragglers renewed their fighting vigor and soon, some of the Varjan Warriors have begun to rout and run. The line was broken.

Meanwhile, the Archaneans chasing the group were also routing with their Paladin leader nowhere to be seen. Presumably dead considering the Soldiers were running.

"This is our chance! Come on! LET'S GO!" Anna yelled at the top of her lungs so all her allies could hear her.

~@Zaphander~

"I'll gladly accept your surrender if you tell your men to stand down and let us pass!"
Danica

The Paladin, despite being disarmed from your attacks, bellowed. "NEVER!"

He charged once more but you were ready to dance around him and continued whittling him down. However, there was no need for that for a bolt to the throat ended the Paladin threat for you. Looking over, you see a large Dwarf with a crossbow. It was clear that it was he who shot your opponent and he only nodded to you before running off. You have no idea why a Dwarf would help you but perhaps that was a question for another time considering the present.

The Archanean Soldiers noticed that their leader was gone. Dread and fear filled them and their ranks faltered. Soon enough, the Soldiers began routing and running, ending their threat to... whoever they were attacking.

"This is our chance! Come on! LET'S GO!" You hear the woman you recognize as the renowned merchant Anna yell at the top of her lungs.

You see a good number of people run past a broken line of Varjan Warriors. You went with them since it was your objective to escape the battle anyway.

~@Eisenhorn, @Sho Minazuki, @Zaphander~

The group ran as fast as they could until the sounds of battle could no longer be heard. They had succeeded in escaping from the chaotic battle.

Entering a nearby forest, they settled in a clearing that had a convenient stream to drink from and clean. "Well now... I have to admit in all my travels, I never expected something like that." The dark mage woman said. "Also, Emma! What were you thinking just charging in like that?! You could've been seriously hurt?" She scolded the pegasus rider.

"Eheehee... I'm sorry, Shade." The girl named Emma sheepishly laughed. "I thought I could take out the Paladin with a surprise attack." She explained. "But hey, it's all right. This kind, brave woman over here saved me." She motioned to Danica. "Hey thanks by the way."

It was then that Prince Jarde rose. "No doubt this would reverberate all across Arcadia. War would officially be declared between the League and the Dwarven Kingdoms." He spoke, referring to the battle earlier. "As the prince of Elibe, I cannot let this happen. Elibean, no, innocent lives will be lost in this war." The prince declared. "I don't know about you guys but I'm going to Elibe and try to explain that this battle was but a misunderstanding and not an act of aggression. Hopefully my parents will listen and try to spread the message across the Council Of Royals."

"I shall do that as well." Prince Alfonse stood up. "Me and Sharena will return to Askr and explain to the Zenith Union what had happened so that they do not go to war under false pretenses." He then looked at Jarde. "With both of us being princes, I am confident we can sway the entire League from declaring war against the Dwarves and plunging Arcadia into bloodshed."

"Let's hope the Dwarves are in a talking mood after that." Princess Sharena then spoke. "Not to mention Varjo."

"A misunderstanding huh?" The dark mage named Shade repeated Jarde's words. "It's obvious that whatever caused that battle was not the Dwarves betraying the League or vice-versa. Someone instigated that in order for the League and for the Dwarves to war against each other. But who could wish such a thing?" Shade explained. "The Terrors? Undead? Are they even capable of that?"

"Sounds like someone needs to embark on an adventure to find out." Emma suggested. "We'll probably start in Valentia or Archanea. I bet it's those stupid Varjans though."

"What about us, hon?" Jake asked, sitting beside the merchant. A comforting smile upon his face.

"...I'll do what I do best, I guess." Anna replied. "Run around Arcadia, sell stuff. I bet I could make a killing selling weapons and potions under these tensions." She explained weakly.

"You're such a bad liar." Jake remarked but after a raised eyebrow from the merchant, he added. "...Under stress."

"What about you, guys?" Prince Jarde then asked those remaining. "We are going our separate ways. I'm not sure if you've any business to do but you are welcome to come with us."

"Or us." Prince Alfonse stood beside his sister Sharena.

"Or us." Emma stood up with Shade beside her.

"Or us." Anna and Jake stood up. "Although, I'm serious about us running around Arcadia okay?"

It was time to choose. But this choice must not be taken lightly for there may be no turning back from the chosen path.
@Eviledd1984

Hey, I'll go over her some time in the future since right now I'm busy with IC posts.

@Kyun

Also, I forgot to mention that you didn't need to post how you're looking for the board. Technically speaking, it's available for viewing anytime so you could've jumped into any quest you want.

@The Irish Tree

Don't worry. It's all fine.
Neil's status is officially already second-in-command then?

Well that's what Haley said. Is your character going to agree with that?

Legitimate question, is there just a single request board that is small enough to be carried or is there a large one on the wall or something similar? I assume there is only the one, which is the one Ars has seen and knows of, meaning he has to speak to Neil first to get a request started.

The former. It's usually put outside but it can be taken inside just in case it rains or something.

Hi i was wondering if i could make a skeleton guy character?

Why can't it be a skeleton girl character? :d

Anyway, sure. Let's see what you've got.
@The Irish Tree

Yes. Just post what Magnus will do and I will handle the rest.

@Eviledd1984

Don't worry. I'll take care of that.
I may be ridden with the flu but updates must be written!

"Umm sir...I was wondering...if I could take... the Keeping The Peace job?"
Maria Falena

Bart looked over to Neil. "Umm, are you sure? You've been awake an entire day, you know?"

"Yeah, aren't you tired?" Neil chimed in, his face a little bit red at seeing your rather risque appearance. "You might not be able to perform your bestest if you do this. I say you should just take it easy for today and get some sleep and take a bath or something." Neil recommended, his eyes doing its best to focus on your face rather than everything else below.

"We're not stopping you if you really want." Bart said. "Just... well, your body may not keep up."

Faith, Hope and Love Abide
~@Silver Carrot (ELD), @13org (BST)~

The two of you make your way to the Shrine-Town of Eros without any untoward incidents and reach the place by midday.

The shrine-town was... quite dedicated to their goddess. While it looked like an ordinary town, most of the colors you see are shades of pink and red. However, the large temple of the Goddess of Love was more elegant with its white colors. Apsaras, Cupids and Houris along with humans walked the streets but no other monsters though. The proximity to the Order-aligned Pravar would explain that but the people there gave you a sense of welcome and hospitality, despite Eilidh being a monster.

"You there, over here!" A beautiful voice called out to Bast and Eilidh. You see a winged female you know as a Gandharva make her way towards you. She had dark skin and the plume of her wings was similar to the color of the sun. Her long, tied hair was auburn and what little she wore was either golden or a light purple. The fragrance her race emitted quickly filled the immediate air. "You are from the guild, yes? You must be since you two really don't look like you belong here. Do you know Arletta? She's a Dullahan who has been here and a part of your guild, I believe."

"Anyway, I'm Gina. The poster of the quest was Valerie. She's a friend of mine but I don't want her going into this. She has... issues." She explained. "So that's why we're doing this quest before she finds out." She declared with a smile. "I know it's deceiving your friends but Valerie, she... Well, it's complicated. Now then, shall we go?"

Must Saviors Die?
~@Silver Carrot (REB)~

"Hey, I've written to someone who can help out. She'll meet you in the swamp." Bart told you before you left. "She's actually one of the people I invited to the guild and she wrote to me that she's coming."

You reach Udor Swamp by noon, fortunately not encountering any soul that might hamper you along the way.

The swamp had a stench of death and decay. The entire wetland felt wrong, as if there was a mortal sin that was committed here or the place was fully saturated with malice and evil. The swamp's proximity to Varjo could probably explain all that. Nevertheless, you trudged forward into the dark, quiet swamp. Once you were far enough in, you begin spotting bones. Human bones, scattered throughout the environment. The further you went in, the more bones you saw. Some were old, some were fresh, some were complete and some were missing parts. You realize that this place was more a grave than a swamp.

You did not have to travel too far in to find a small encampment. You find out that it belonged to a small troop of Varjan Warriors who surrounded a bloodied, beaten person tied to a post sitting on a pile of firewood. The man had brown skin, much like the people of Maria Corazon but wore finer clothes fitting for a noble. A Varjan Warrior approached the stake with a lit torch on his hand. "You thought to lift a hand against King Caldeyron? No one will mourn for you. You will pay for your treachery, Emilio Hari. The end has come. Have you any last words?"

"Magiging malaya ang Sonorra! Hindi kayo magwawagi!" Emilio yelled at the Varjans.

"...I did not understand a word you said but it matters little." The Varjan Warrior replied before tossing the torch and igniting the stake. Time was of the essence but you had the element of surprise.

"Looks like it's you and me, Freyr." Bart said. "Let's go then."

"Nope~! I'm coming with you guys." Haley suddenly interjected. "But you guys go on ahead. I wanna look around this guild some more. Leave some for me, okay?"

You and Bart went outside after gathering the necessary materials and begin working, putting wooden fences into the soil with the plan being to surround a huge amount of grassy land with the crude yet effective barriers. "You know, if you've got problems you can come talk to any of us." Bart started. "You said something about a poet earlier. What did he tell you? Was it something bad? We can beat him if you want." The guild master had a grin that said he was only kidding.

"But seriously, what troubles you, my friend?" Bart asked once again after placing a post.

~@Zaphander (STR & FST)~

"I am Knightmare. Stand aside or stand down. Where is your master?"
Shatter(?)

The brown-haired boy that met you inside froze in shock. In his hands was a board with papers posted on it. He was completely silent, paralyzed before your imposing figure.

"Hmmm, what an exquisite armor." A female voice remarked, likely talking about you. "Fine craftwork, mister. Or should I say, miss?" A Cyclops appeared beside the boy with an unamused expression. "Now then, what's a Living Armor doing here?"

"She was asking for Bart." Another female voice. Though, her voice was prettier as if it was made to sing. You spot a Harpy creature fly and land behind you. "He's outside building fences. But his second-in-command is here for inquiry." With a wing, she pointed at the boy who, at this point, was standing behind the Cyclops.

"M-Me?" The boy spoke, confused.

"Yeah! I mean, who else would it be?" The Harpy-like creature replied. "So then Miss Living Armor, what brings you here?"
