Maeryn stepped off onto the deck, which squeaked and sunk slightly underneath the weight of his boots. Though the smell of seasalt and sound of chirping seagulls filled the air, the rocky terrain that greeted his eyes was not what as pleasant. Orcs moved back and forth through the open paths in front of him, towering over him in height as they navigated their village, throwing him glances at times. Stone and wood simple buildings were also in his vicinity, some with smoke rising out of them. The dark-haired elf moved forward onto the rough ground, glancing about as he paused by the crackling fire of a nearby torch.

He was no stranger from journeying to this area all the way from Malthemoor Kingdom, but he felt a sense of purpose behind this one like no other. This wasn’t a trip that he had been paid to this time. This was something he chose for himself.

As soon as the assassinations had occurred and it had become known to all that humans were to be summoned, Maeryn had made the decision. He had tucked his sons in at the house of Phinara’s mother and father, then had made his way out of Malthemoor by ship with only his daughter his side and a hunting dog that faithfully followed him along.

As the morning set upon them, he turned to his Alaia who stood behind him. ”Kind one. I hope you are feeling alright.”He greeted her gently and touched her shoulder, ”We will eat and see what information is available.”He beckoned her close after speaking to her, ”Stay close.”

Location: Rich Demihuman’s bedroom → Roof of a Roshmi house
Equipment: Dress and thigh-high socks(Slits on the inner sides of the sleeves), Black boots, Pouch with amas, Lipstick, Mysterious bag of fun drugs

Three demihumans were entangled with each other in a large king bed. A chandelier loomed over their heads and the ceiling was intricate with design. The room smelled of liquor and perfume. Yuka stretched her arms out with a yawn as she laid back against the muscular of the blonde demihuman. The sunlight shone through the curtains much to her dismay, awakening her as early as the sunrise. She pouted for a moment as she slowly sat up and assessed her surroundings.

She glanced down at her bed companions. Her eyes traveled to the male. She watched his feline ears twitch as he curled up sleepily. She traced his jaw with her nail with mild interest. Sweet dreams, pretty boy. Getting to sleep in a luxurious bed and to wake up to pretty people was always a pleasant yet easily achievable task. She wondered why others did not choose to do this more often.

Then she remembered she was so much cuter than everyone else and felt sorry for others for about half a second.

Yuka leaned over the female for a second and smirked down at her. She tilted her head as the sparkle of her necklace caught her eye. She began to undo it from her neck gently, shhing the girl as she began to stir. ”It’s okay sweetie. You’re just dreaming.” She said under her breath, petting her hair as she snatched the necklace in one hand. The girl fell back asleep as Yuka fastened the necklace around her own neck.

Before long, she was slinking out of the boy’s window silently and climbing up to the roof with ease. She stood up and watched as the sun rose into the sky, gracing Roshmi with its pink hues. Yuka could not help but giggle as she thought about the reality of the situation. Soon, even the peace of a sunrise would no longer protect Roshmi from chaos. And in the midst of chaos, she could finally strike.

Last night had gone rather well for Yuka. She had gone to pick up the antidote just as her new little friends had requested of her, but she had also decided to be extra thoughtful. The three of them were all so frighteningly boring that she had worried it was simply not good for their health, so she had gone out of her way to fetch them Skaula and some other fun substances that she wasn’t really sure what they were. If they were to be Yuka’s little helpers, then they were going to have to learn how to be more entertaining. It was too early on to start messing with their minds too much, otherwise she’d have to find replacements.

Her purchases had not been the highlight of the night, however. While she had been flirting with her very pretty drug seller, she had gotten quite the story. Blonde boy here had been sneaking into an abandoned house that he had usually sold his merchandise out of when he saw light elves opening up a portal that blinded him. When he could see again, a dark-haired man that looked like an elf with very small ears had come out. He had ended up seeing the man again last night hiding in an alleyway near Roshmi Square.

Yuka figured since she was up nice and early, the others certainly wouldn’t mind if she picked up a little something else before coming back to the tavern.

Sophie glanced up from her position as she felt a head pat. She smiled at her kind words despite the complex feelings she felt about this situation.I kinda want to be mad at her for dragging us all here, but she’s so nice I can’t be. It was stressful to try to digest the situation. It felt as her brain wouldn’t accept the situation because it was so insane. She lifted her head and stared in awe as a cowboy and bipedal cheetah walked into the cafe. It was like one of those dad jokes about weird characters going into a bar. She knew she was going to drive herself nuts if she kept getting surprised by everything.

No point in beating a dead horse Sophie. Obviously this is all weird but you’re stuck here. Just go with it.

She found herself nodding in approval and feeling excitement start to overcome her. Wow… A cowboy… I can’t believe it! It’s gotta be one with that hat. I’ve never seen one. But why would they be in this land with elves and fairies? And he’s a gay cowboy. That’s even cooler.

A high-pitched voice came from behind her ear. “Sophie! You are staring so intensely at that man. Have you chosen him as your mate?”

“Uh...Wait... No.” Sophie did a double-take and glanced over at the pixie on her shoulder, but Alette was quick to speak again, “Do not worry Miss Sophie. I will arrange this for you. This is my repayment for snacks!” The pixie was off before Sophie could reply and obnoxiously crash-landed onto the table with the cowboy and cheetah-man. She did a roll or two before jumping to her feet and pointing at the cowboy, “Male! Hi! Are you looking for a mate? I have chosen one for you.” She clumsily got to her feet after a moment and fluttered up to his face to look at him in the eyes, “Come along! A lovely lady awaits!”

Sophie blinked and looked at the others, softly asking, “Uhmm… What should I do?” She wasn’t sure if she should go snatch the pixie back or just move on as if nothing had happened. Before anyone could answer, a pretty white-haired girl with a nice fluffy tail came over and spoke to Rosaria and Nuallán in a manner that indicated they knew each other. She assumed this was the princess they were trying to meet. Her eyes sparkled with admiration as she looked at the fluffy tail and the beautiful clothing she wore. She forgot about the whole situation with Alette’s antics for a moment.

Though the young woman was foul-mouthed in her explanation, Annya did understand that clearly, she had come from horrid family life. Her own parents were quite flawed in many ways but never had she seen many cases of parents hurting their children. Certainly, that drunk man had no resemblance to her mother. But Annya did recognize this situation with a little more thought. Elven warriors who had seen too much sometimes had flipped out in random bursts of rage as they flashbacked to past horrors. Though Saoirse was no warrior, she had been through a battle of her own. She met Saoirse’s gaze once she finally lifted her head and replied sympathetically,” Saoirse, I’m sorry. You deserved a better mother… I can understand why you reacted like that now. However, if we become the demons of our past, then we’ll never escape from them, even when they are long gone. It’s important we work on that and I am here to help you with that.”

Annya gave the girl a warm smile. ”Every day is a new journey. Let’s take it on together okay? We’re friends now, anyway right?”She nudged Ismael as well as she led them to the cafe and opened up the door, ”And you too Ismael. You best believe you are my comrade now!”

The inside cafe was well-lit and was a busy view to the eye. There was a fira with flames blazing in the middle of the room on an elevated stage with chefs swarming around it. Shelves of desserts were displayed above and there were long tables all over the wooden room. Green cabinets and pops of red and green items splashed over the wooden hall. It was not all too busy so it did not take long for Annya to spot the only dwarf in the room. ”Yoohoo!” Annya called as she moved over and leaned on the table, ”Hello friend! I apologize for yesterday! So sorry I had to leave abruptly. Hope you weren’t waiting here by yourself too long..” She offered a hand to him, ”What’s your name?”After a moment, she gestured to Ismael and Saoirse, letting the capable young folk introduce themselves however they liked.

As they did so, she took a moment to answer her buzzing transmission bracelet and listened to Kharne’s statement. She let out a sigh of relief. She was so relieved Raven was safe and coming back to them with no resistance. “Kharne, thank you so much for finding her! See you soon.” She hung up afterward and then paused.

Wait… Friends?

The gut instinct Annya got from that idea was not pleasant. It was definitely not a good idea to trust too randoms. But if it was getting Raven back here, then all she could was hope this wouldn’t be too difficult a scenario. It was also best she found out what this dwarf was about before they arrived. ”So. What led you to me?”

”Kharne, Raven’s emotional reaction is just proof she needed to relax. They just wanted to have some fun. There was no predicting what happened. Now just imagine you had the girls train in that mind state. I know you’re used to your way of battle, but when it comes to magic, one’s mind must be in a state of peace. They will need some meditation sessions before even trying to summon magic again. ”Annya told Kharne, ”I will take the humans with me to breakfast then at Surfside Cafe. Meet us there if you are unable to locate Raven and we will search together. Please take care to feed yourself as well.”

Annya glanced at the young human as he picked on a sarcastic tone. She sighed and did her best to be patient with the man as she said gently to him, ” Yes young Ismael. If your emotions get out of control, you can lose control of your magic. That is why I was insistent to Kharne that I take the girls out to relax after the arduous day. If you refuse to cooperate and stay with us, then yes, I will be forced to call for reinforcements as your magic can hurt others. You, humans, are my responsibility as well as Kharne’s. It is not only our duty to
keep you safe, but those around us.”

She let him continue, listening to his words, and shook her head. She gently took his hand and squeezed it. ”I’m sorry Ismael. I know I must seem on edge. I do not want to threaten you. I want you to feel safe with me but I cannot protect you all if you run off so the matter changes. Of course, I would speak to Raven gently. I’ve been a young girl myself. I've lived long enough to know how to read situations and know who to be blunt with and who to be gentle with to diffuse a situation."

“Right now, I am speaking to you and Kharne bluntly to make you understand how important it is that we find Raven. I do not want to make her our enemy and I want to stress why we must find her as soon as possible. Thus I have to be honest with you about what is at stake so you understand. ” Annya paused and then her eyes widened as she realized a better analogy to make him understand her intention, ” Think about this. There’s a fire, right? So I am going to yell fire to make everyone understand there is an emergency. Right now we have an emergency to find Raven so I have to explain to my comrades what is at stake quickly to the point so they understand. If I sugarcoat things to you right now, you might not grasp the severity. ”

Annya moved to the door, calling down the hall, ”Saoirse! Time to go!” She waited for Saoirse to join and once she had, she led Saoirse and Ismael out the door and towards the cafe. The morning sun beamed in the sky and lit up the wooden boardwalk that creaked beneath their shoes. She glanced at the two humans as her thoughts drifted to the events of yesterday, ”Saoirse. I want to be your comrade but you’re going to have to explain to us the extreme reaction yesterday. Is such behavior prohibited on Earth?”

After the New Year, I'd love to join if I may. But I'm somewhat lost on the plot...

We'd love to have you, Poohead!
Are you able to divulge what confuses you or do you just the plot broken down into basics?

Here is my attempt!

Hi there. Thanks for your time and effort. I love his look and personality.
Well written, but you seem to have some misunderstandings and need more information.

Your occupation and subspecies of demon will not be accepted. The roleplay is settled in an alternation dimension where Earth is called Avalia. The GMs and I feel that it is best you change this as in this RP, demons come from an abyss and the Gods hate them.
Celestials will be the ones who help souls pass. It is not so much like the Greek underworld. The spiritual realm here would be on
Mount Celestia. There is no God of Abyss, just Lilith who is the mother of demons. The only beings that can reforge spirits into other races are the Gods.

As for your history, he can be found in an orphanage and mistaken for something else, but he cannot start
as a human(They are unnatural in Avalia as well), he would be a demon that was born in the abyss and got there somehow. Could also be a demon who didn't know he was one.

Great job on the stats. You did this very fair.

However the abilities:
- No chronosense. This can lead to potential issues such as the character-revealing another's secrets, etc.
- Life force absorption is too overpowered. Maybe replaceable with a weakening touch rather than straight-up killing them.
- Arcane knowledge is kinda vague and needs more detail to understand what you are going for.
- No Death Realm and Living realm connection

After hours of searching, Annya had sent Saoirse to the inn and spent another few hours frantically searching for Raven. If she lost a human, she was so doomed. Raven clearly did not have a handle on her emotions right now and an elemental storm could ravage Riverport at any moment. But alas, once it had started to get past midnight, Annya knew it was pointless. She went home and plopped head-first into her bed with an audible groan. Sleep had felt like a simple blink of the eye that night as the sun's rays once again peaked into their window. Annya had burst awake and ran to the window. She was met with the sight of a beautiful sunrise, mirroring itself against the ocean and the sound of seagulls. No sounds of screams or destruction. Yet.

Still, anxiety drove Annya to keep moving despite her exhaustion. She took extra effort into her bathing and preparing for the day, but even after then, it was still only 8 am. So she decided to write aggressively in her book, planning out her thoughts. She had to find Raven. Then she had to take the moody young human females and scold their bad behavior and seek out what underlying traumatic experiences make them behave in such ways. Then she'd make them meditate in the middle of a field of flowers. She spent time planning out more of her plan and also made a web diagram of what her choices and actions could possibly lead to. If they didn't find Raven, she'd have to report it. Then she'd have to do something to save her reputation! She nodded to herself firmly as she recited her plan in her head then tiptoed quietly into the hall, letting Saoirse sleep in. She then knocked on the door of the male occupants of her party as it had started nearing 9am. She opened it impatiently after some moments if she had not received an answer. "Kharne. We must discuss the issues of yesterday."

It then dawned on her she had made plans to speak with the dwarf. She did a double-take as she remembered and sighed. Annya knew he might have important information and she'd have to go, but she wanted to get Kharne on the same page as us first. "Raven has not yet been recovered. It is of high importance we locate her and keep the humans in cooperative conditions."She glanced at Ismael as she spoke, "With powerful abilities you cannot control, having emotional outbursts and especially running off on your own is a recipe for disaster. Her safety is also of great concern as she has little knowledge of this world. The safety of others becomes an issue as these abilities are so heavily linked to emotions. I cannot send you home like my sister can, so refusing to cooperate forces me to uphold my duty to make you an enemy of the Sun Elf Kingdom, whether I want to or not. So as you can see, it's very vital we find Raven as quick as possible so I do not have to do that."

Day 2: Townsday, Juume 22nd

Time:9am

After an eventful Summer Solstice, tension looms. The dark elf army had reached the Sun Elf Kingdom and all have now heard about the battle of light and darkness that continued on through the night. The light elves were victorious in the end, or so they thought. The dark elves had succeeded in damaging their supplies to the extent they had wanted despite casualties on both sides though that was what had ultimately led to the dark elves' retreat. Roshmi, though a few riots and protests had initially broken out, had been successfully conquered by the dark elves.

A new day begins. How will you prepare yourself for what's to come?
