Victor Astorio

Just as he had suspected the light it self seemed to be the clue. A small flower glowing brightly balancing on the hilt of a blade. At the very least it was definitely out of place. Victor tried the door but it was locked, “of course its locked.” He spoke to himself. He was deciding on how to open the door when Salem called out for assistance.

Gripping the axe in hand he looked down towards the boy and the two he was fighting. The mage seemed broken but knew what it was doing, the vampire on the other hand was moving with speed and agility as well in ways he hadn’t seen used in some time. Swinging carelessly but still with an amount of precision and personal harm to move its arms in the way it was moving. It was almost as if it was already dead.

The axe was at the very least balanced appropriately for its size and weight, the material was quite strange. Normally obsidian would never be able to be forged like this, it was sharp sure but brittle better for small knives and arrows. The count looked to the cabin once more and didn’t see any obvious markings or additional riddles that would get the door open. Not only that but did he really want to draw the Lord’s ire by breaking into his precious cabin? Even if it was just an illusion.

The answer was clear to him at least. Squinting at the masked mage for a moment, shifting his body one way then another as he gauged the distance between himself and the mage. With one step and a heavy swing Victor threw the axe at the mage aiming for center mass. “The clue is in here!” he shouted back to Salem. The locked door wouldn’t get in his way, if he did what he was about to do in real life he knew full well he would likely be killed. However, just imagining the shit storm it would put his father in would be well worth it.

With fury growing in his mind and the anger of what his family had done to him beginning to reemerge. Victor kicked the front door of the cabin with all the might and rage he could muster. If the door didn’t budge he would hit it again. If again the door didn’t budge he would try to break the windows, the walls, and the roof if he had to. Even if the door gave way with the first kick, he would attempt to pull out the blade and continue to destroy whatever he could get away with inside the small cabin.

Grikgar /Grik/ Seeker

// Unggoy Ultra // Demolitions and Artillery //

A bumpy ride, it was really the only way to describe the pelican ride. Grikgar did not have the physiology to properly sit in the seats like the two humans that accompanied him. He had only arrived the day before and had been staying in a makeshift room on top of a space elevator. The Unggoy had been pulled from active combat with direct orders to get his gear and board a frigate heading for earth. At the very least he was briefed on what he had been chosen for by his commander on the way out.

Now he was on his way to meet his new commander and serve with the humans that helped them to end the Great War. It was a strange job in an ever changing world of new possibilities something the Unggoy jumped at the chance for. Another adventure to chalk up to his many accomplishments. At least the humans, although wary didn’t out right try to bully him. He can’t blame them though, it’s not every day one would see a grunt like him. Taller, more robust, no look of fear or being timid towards the humans around them.

At the very least he was able to get some sleep on the ride down somehow. The human that was tasked in taking care of him while on the station was a brute of a man with red hair and an accent he called “Scottish” it was always interesting to meet new humans, they were all so different. This one called Sargent Abernathy, was strict around the other soldiers however the man did let Grikgar go through the more recent human music files. This activity kept him up for most of the long hours before his departure from the space elevator.

The Unggoy was woken suddenly when the back door to the pelican opened and he not so graciously got up from his spot and looked at the two new soldiers dressed in black. He did catch a quick chuckle from one of the marines in the pelican, more than likely because he was being clumsy. Stepping outside the pelican revealed a grand city, tall spires that reached into the sky one not matching another. It reminded him of the cities of their planet Reach, the engineering of the humans and their ability to build such buildings was always something to be admired.

“This way.” One of the men in black spoke to him in a gruff and annoyed voice. They definitely were not amused by him being here and didn’t seem to want to wait around for the grunt to stop ogling the sky scrapers. Soon he found himself being led through a few corridors only to wind up in a large bright room with many humans moving around. They all looked to be very busy with whatever it was they were in such a hurry for only a couple of wandering eyes found themselves glancing toward him or over to a much larger figure in front of him.

He couldn’t quite make out the red armor at first but soon it became clear as his escort met up with two others that were escorting a Sangheili in red and white shining armor. By the looks of him and the description of the elite that would be his new commander this one matched the description. “Vael ‘Virisusai? Grik has been told a lot about you, it is an honor to have a Sangheili such as yourself as our commander.” Grikgar spoke using the Sangheili language in a formal tone as he looked up at him.

@EliteCommander
@Aristocles Right, just don't underestimate him or do and always be surprised your choice :P
@EliteCommander thank you. I made sure to double check everything and i was aware that energy shields may be an issue but he is still a grunt and the other grunt that was named in the bio was also given the rank of ranger and given comand of elites.
@EliteCommander i do hope this isnt too much.

Halo: Aegis Team

@EliteCommander how does a Ungoyy Ultra artillery/explosives expert sound? a bit of comedic relief.
Ardur The Mighty Hipixie
A short Rest > To Glory /// Adventuring day 5 // Evening / Location - The Shimmering Pool > The edge of the shimmering pool

It seemed to be working. Floating in the water and pulling the mana from it into himself. He could almost feel it on his skin, such a strange sensation. The sword was definitely doing more work now that he wasn’t just flying around the wisps seemed more interested in him then in her and their well being. But dam did this dungeon core have a lot of these dam creatures, “we really messed up the ecosystem in here.” A small thought to himself. Resurfacing for a moment before going down again, there were still a couple flyers left.

The sword didn’t waste too much more time on the rest of them and called out to him that they were clear for the moment. She even commented on her mana still not being completely full, “be sure to pick off a few more wisps and pixies then to regain what you can.” He spoke while slowly swimming towards the shore.

Pulling himself up onto his feet from the shore he looked back to her, “we need your help cutting a path to the core if you can. I’m afraid if we retreat and wait we might not be able to defeat the core the next time we are in here.” He spoke as he walked up to the small group of friends. They all looked a little worn out now. Perhaps he could help with that, he didn’t have a lot of mana but he felt he had enough.

Ardur cast Minor Healing I on Steve and mother slime first then Asura. “We need to make a push for the core, we won’t last here forever.” Gripping the bone weapon that he somehow still managed to carry the high pixie gave up the last of his mana even if it caused mana burn to Guidance I. “Dhulfiqar, The King. Aid me in destroying my foes for your glory.” Whatever would happen next Ardur would follow the group’s decision.

Victor Astorio

The place they ended up in was vaguely familiar. Scanning their surroundings, Victor only momentarily looked over the two masked individuals across from them settling his eyes on the Lord. Lord Perion was a formidable sight to behold. Victor himself had only met the man a handful of times, a few times when he would visit the Strigois stronghold and just before coming to this school. The brief conversation about his mission here flashed through his mind, he still hadn’t made progress on it.

A flicker of light in the cabin caught his eye. “Look for something out of place or missing?” well the candle was definitely out of place. The lord would never do anything that would even show the slightest hint of an accommodation for a mage or human. They were insects to him, even some vampires were. He needed to investigate the light source but would the lord intercept him if he tried? It would need to be investigated before he was comfortable engaging the other two in what was clearly a trial by combat.

“Salem, we need to be cautious and plan-” his mage took the initiative and charged forward, “Don’t.” an irritated growl followed. While Salem charged forward, at least he knew that combat tactics were to be hammered in next.

Victor glanced at the weapons that were left and chose the axe, before he could grab it he began to be surrounded by tall grass and vines. Another plant mage? Or just an illusion? These challenges were strange and he only felt that they were specifically designed to test the relationship between vampire and mage more than actually just testing the mage. Honestly he could understand, Ryner seemed particularly interested with messing with them.

Moving past the ever growing grass with the axe in hand the count moved toward the cabin. He only stopped for just a moment to give a passing salute to the lord before continuing. Illusion or not a lord was still a lord and it had been engraved in him to show respect whenever able. Even if it was just a simple gesture. The light source was out of place and the only thing that seemed off about this whole situation so far. That was what he was investigating, if it turned out to be nothing then he would join Salem with fighting the other two.
