Petyr is the type who just cannot be bothered with most things if they do not provide his life any meaningful purpose. Relationships do not come easy, though there is never any malice in the aloofness of his mysteric stares and mystical aura. He is a poetic soul who can see into the complexities of the world around him, and he can appreciate (or maybe acknowledge) the beauty and importance of even the smallest things, but through his experiences and observations, a note of cynicism has taken root within in his aeonheart. Petyr is not one to panic, even under the direst of circumstances, but does not trust easily and will surely perceive your intentions as ill-conceived unless he surmises otherwise. He is intelligent, if not one of the cleverest brains in the Academy, though Petyr is not one to boast or brag. He was offered the position of Illumaire 3 years in a row and turned it down each and every time. Petyr is a strong believer in fate, believing that there is little you can do to change your destiny — perhaps this ideology is a byproduct of his cynicism. Still, that doesn't mean he just wants you to sit there and do nothing.
"What is your goal?" is something he considers with most engagements. For the few that have successfully surpassed his coldness, there is a light. A reliable, open-minded, and honest individual whose words may sound like wisdom-laced poetry, at least, the fragments that he bestows upon you. But he does not know everything and will admit to that. He's certainly not a caretaker, but his lack of affection doesn't mean he does not care, though; in a sense, he can be a bit apathetic, or perhaps, ambivalent is the better term. Petyr embodies serenity, and his interests outside of school reflect that, resting under the moonlight and gazing out at the stars. There is something wistful in his blue and green eyes, as though just beyond the haze and fog of his gaze, there is something or someone out there that he seeks. Few are allowed into the inner workings of his mind and heart, so people may wonder why he does the things he does (leading to assumptions being made about him). He is a little prickly, to be fair. It's always a mystery with him, but there's always a reason and purpose to his actions. If he does or says anything, it is never on a whim.
(Peter has mommy issues, hence his trust issues and cynicism.)
◈ H i s t o r y
Like anyone, Petyr has lived through his fair share of hardships. His mother was poor and turned to shady business to make ends meet on her sky island (Westheuvail), which was overpopulated and full of crime and corruption. Eventually, the woman would become embroiled in so much criminal activity as a Mystic that she had to fly away from her sky island or risk being caught or labeled a Daemon by Parliament and the Royal Guard. And worse, she was putting her young children in harm's way as well. When Petyr was 3, his mother abandoned him and his siblings at the doorstep of the austere St. Eldric Monastery, never to be seen or heard from again.
This monastery was known for taking in abandoned orphans and giving them a place to stay, helping them find new families or rehabilitate into society as well-rounded citizens once they become adults. Bound by their sacred duties, the monks took them in. He and his siblings were raised under very stern monastery leaders, subjected to a life of rigid discipline and even stricter rules. Despite this, the monastery and the monks and the other orphans were a place of comfort for the siblings — home.
But destiny had a fateful twist in store for him and his younger brother (their older sister had manifested her gift the year before and was already at Harold's Academy). One fateful night, a devastating fire engulfed the ancient St. Eldric Monastery, consuming the lives of many within its hallowed halls. Amidst the chaos of the fire, Petyr's only concern, his instinctual urge, was to protect his younger brother, and that was when he manifested his gift. As the flame danced around them, his skin transformed into a deep, cornflower blue and became adorned with layers of small fine scales that shimmered with an otherworldly iridescence. He was able to shield them from the destructive blaze, healing himself as they ran through the fire and out of the crumbling monastery. His mystical gift had, in fact, been their lifeline for the altered future that awaited them.
The next day, the Relocation Committee for Underaged Mystics (RUM oversees the process of enrolling and "shipping" students off to Harold's Academy if they do not have the means to get there themselves) came to pick him up and send him off to the Academy, a tearful goodbye between him and his younger brother inconsolably heartwrenching. Eventually, they would all reconnect at the Academy in three years' time, as fate would have it. But the legacy of his past has turned Petyr into the mysterious ice prince that he is today, beautifully mystical and tiresomely incomprehensible.
◈ R e p u t a t i o n
He's got that handsome cold prince aesthetic down on lock, but his mystical charm and intelligence make him someone that is alluring. He involuntarily makes you want to know more about him, with many students asking him to tutor them (some for the wrong reasons). He is known as a really good, reliable tutor to his peers though.
At the academy, he doesn't realize that he is a popular romantic interest for many students, male and female. When conversations come up about who you want to date most, he's usually at the top of their lists, though that's only because they have an impossibly unrealistic impression of what they think it would be like to be with him. He has dated only one person since he joined the academy, a girl, and ever since, people have been asking her, "What does Petyr like?" and "If I talk about Percival Strange's new book, will he Petyr take interest in me?". On the flip side, some people don't like him because of his icy nature, which they might find him as trying too hard to be "cool" and a bit pretentious. Some find him offputting and prickly to warm up to, which is a fair assessment. The teachers really like him, though, because he's smart and unproblematic. Well, until recently.
This past year, his 4th year, he started hanging out with a notorious gang of Academy delinquents (The Willow Gang) who just cause trouble and don't focus on their grades. He's even skipped a few classes with them. His professors and peers have been speculating about why he's hanging out with them so suddenly. He's not morphed into a troublemaker himself, per se, but through association, his reputation has become somewhat tainted by his new, "friends". And everybody is asking, "Why?".
◈ G o a l s
Surprisingly, he hopes to become a professional Waaga Rider. He also wants to find and confront the mother who abandoned him and his siblings at the monastery when he was a small child. Petyr is ambivalent about his father. He honestly cares more about seeing his sister and brother succeed; they also attend the Academy.
◈ R e l a t i o n s
Sage Nostradé (19) is Petyr's older sister who also attends the academy and is a 5th year. People always ask her if Petyr is "available", but she's catty and stereotypically valley-girlish, always surrounded by a gaggle of girlfriends.
Lysander Nostradé (15) is Petyr's younger brother who also attends the academy and is a 3rd year. He deals with bullying, which Petyr and Sage have been trying to help him out with.
The Willow Gang is a notorious school gang at the Academy that Petyr currently associates with. There are four other members in this gang, three guys and a girl.

◈ M y s t i c C l a s s i f i c a t i o nSomatic◈ G i f tBlue Djinn◈ M y s t i c C o d ePetyr's gift is an unusual one, and at first glance, it can startle someone, even other Mystics who have never seen him in this form, his "Blue Djinn" form, if you will. When Petyr activates his gift, his skin turns a deep cornflower blue and is covered in layers of fine little scales that seem to glimmer faintly with a mystical kind of iridescence. While in this form, his scales produce a unique secretion that heals his wounds over time. He can shed his scales when touching an object (leaving a glittering blue residue) or by releasing them into the air (it looks like shimmering blue fairy dust), which he can manipulate to his every whim. When the secretions (which have an explosive property) on his scales come in contact with an object, they explode. He can control the concentration, shape, and speed at which he releases his scales, shooting explosive particles/projectiles of "blue fairy dust". Even small amounts of his "blue fairy dust" can produce fierce explosions.
When in Djinn form, his hair grows long, takes on a dark blue hue, and perpetually flows as if it were in water. Still, he retains his beauty mark and mystical two-toned eyes — one green, one blue.
◈ L i m i t a t i o n s a n d W e a k n e s s e sAs Petyr sheds his scales during attacks, he becomes more vulnerable as his body is exposed with less of its protective layer to heal him. While in Blue Djinn form, his scales need time to regenerate after he sheds them for combat; therefore, the more he fights with his "blue fairy dust", the weaker his self-healing is, and enemies can take advantage of that moment to target him. He must find the balance between offense and defense. Furthermore, his self-healing is limited, as he cannot rapidly heal severe injuries and still requires treatment if he sustains major wounds.
