Collab with @Silver Carrot

"Hey," Lydia greeted, taking one of her hands of out of her pocket to give a short wave. "I'm Lydia. Lydia Creel. Just got here. Place is looking pretty nice, huh? she accented this by whistling, and looking around at the common room.

Binx blinked a few times, she hadn't really looked around and she told Lydia ass much as she flopped down on the couch opposite the redhead, "To be honest, I just went straight to the room and began unpackin'. But yeah, this place looks sick..." she gave the room a quick glance over, turning in her seat to catch a look to the other side. The common area was huge, definitely large enough to house a couple of teenagers imbued with some sort of magical abilities.

"I haven't really unpacked yet," answered Lydia, shrugging. "Don't wanna piss my roomie off, whoever they are. Space allocation's a conversation that usually involves bargaining, pleading and compromise. That's one thing living in foster homes has taught me."

Binx' ears pricked at the words 'foster homes' and she whipped her head back around to her company in such a way that she knew was gonna be sore in a few hours time. She was in nowhere near the same boat as this girl, but she liked to think that she had a small modicum of an idea as to what it was like. Having been a runaway for awhile before stumbling on her cousin, Binx wasn't a stranger to living in strange places surrounded by even stranger folk. But for now, she brushed that aside. No sense in trudging it all up. For her sake or Lydia's. "Yeah, yeah, I gotcha," Binx turned her attention back to her fellow 1D'er. "I was just too excited to finally get my stuff up on the walls. Hey, if they got a problem, they can take it up with me." Binx made a show of her less than impressive guns, flexing, a laugh leaving her.

And in an instant she was leaning forward, elbows on her knees bouncing up and down looking like an excited dog being teased about going for a walk, "Sooooo," she wiggled her brows, "Who's the lucky one you got stuck with?" Eyes alight with mischief.

Lydia stopped, blinking in response to the hyperactive girl in front of her, and took her envelope back out. "I don't know. I just skimmed the dorm stuff. Let's see..." she said as she took the dorm allocation sheet out of her keycard envelope and read it. Eyes scanning the names before resting on their mission. Her gaze widened slightly, "Charlotte Danvers-Thordottir. Oh...wow. Okay. That's a thing that's happening." Binx interest was piqued, "I'm sharing a room with Thor and Captain Marvel's kid." Lydia look pretty dumbstruck right now.

Clearly not picking up on the unease and apprehension that seemed to be evident in Lydia, Binx continued on her merry hype, "Whoa! No way! That's awesome my dude!" She was filled with too much excitement. Could anyone really blame her though? She was experiencing a singular location with others like her. Duh she was pumped. "This is gonna be great, ya know? You get one of his kids and I got the other! Think one of 'em's got the hammer? And then you think they're gonna let me try an' lift it?!" Binx was practically buzzing with electricity as she rambled on and on about their roommates and all the possibilities for shenanigans. So much so, she didn't even realize she had stood up and was pacing in the space in front of the couch, arms gesturing animatedly.

"Don't you have to be truly worthy to lift Mjolnir?" asked Lydia, showing her Superhero fangirl-ism by pronouncing the hammer's name correctly first try. She was proud of herself, not many humans, or others for that matter, could pronounce it correctly and for that she gave herself praise. "I don't even think I could mimic that. Oh, right! I haven't even told you that!" Realization had dawned on her and she smiled, "My power is that I can copy other people's powers for like ten minutes. What's yours?"

Binx' level of excitement was growing with each passing moment, and it did nothing to deter her energy level to see her getting excited as well. She mentally had to stash away the correct pronunciation of Mjolnir. For future conversations of course. It wouldn't do well regardless, she was sure to come up with a plethora of nicknames for the hammer if not for her own amusement, definitely to annoy others. "Copy?" Her ears perked right up at the description of her dorm mate's ability. "So fucking coooool~" she flopped back into her seat on the couch before twirling marble sized energy orbs in her hand. "I guess you could call it 'explosion'. I'm able to produce plasma psionically. Different kinds of explosions an all." There was no hope in attempting to stop the wide grin she had plastered on her face. Of all the things in this world Binx enjoyed, her powers were top 3 easily. Any chance she can get to show off she was going to run with it.

Lydia watched and listened in wonder. She knew she'd be in a school full of superpowered individuals worthy to become Heroes. But it was another thing entirely to actually see somebody else freely use a superpower this powerful. "Whoa, that looks dangerous!" she exclaimed, and then after a pause, added "I wanna try it."

She got up out of her seat, reached over, and touched the back of Binx's hand with her fingers, before sitting back down. She then started to focus on her own hands. Trying to use a power that's not yours was always a bit difficult if you weren't used to it. It would be like trying to control a third arm you never had before. Still after a second or two, she made her own weaker, smaller floating ball of plasma. She was grinning like a child, but then frowned. "Uh, how do you get rid of them without blowing anything up?"

"OOOOOH~ Hot damn that's fucking cool!" Binx couldn't contain her enthusiasm as she shot back up outta the seat to join her new power twin. "You can't." Binx nonchalantly responded and when Lydia's face fell in horror she doubled over with a laugh, "No, no, I'm kidding. You're good. Normally what I do is I can reabsorb the energy and poof, everything is all hunky dory... but for you, I'm not sure. Never had anyone copy my power. No one's ever been interested in it enough," she ended with a shrug.

She placed a finger to her chin as she thought more about it, and with a ruffle to her hair she grinned coming to a conclusion, "We could always set it off in the vending machines and get some free snacks. I don't know 'bout you but I'm starvin'!"

Lydia's gut instinct was to outright refuse, but she didn't want to come across like a lawful goody-goody Hero type that she herself was scared to run into and get judged by. Nobody liked the killjoy. But at the same time, she really didn't want to damage anything or get in any trouble. Binx had said something about reabsorbing the energy. Lydia tried slowly reabsorbing the energy... and reabsorbed the entire ball in a second.

"Shit," she muttered, as she made a new one, and tried, even more carefully reabsorbing this one, shrinking it until it was as weak and as small as she could get it. She looked back up at Binx. "This should be strong enough to dislodge something, right? I don't want to break the vending machine. Then we'd get no snacks."

Binx was mesmerized at seeing someone other than herself use her power. If she were being completely honest it was surreal. Lydia's words made a lot of sense to the southerner, and she appreciated the girl's motivation to continue wielding it. Binx wondered if she were coming on too strong for a first time meet and greet, however the feeling soon vanished when Lydia suggested a smaller scale 'attack'.

"See, I knew I liked you. Yeah, the smaller the orb the smaller the damage," she was going to go into more detail on her powers when there was quite the commotion coming from just outside the common area. They both looked between one another and then back to the source as the extensive noises breached the threshold. Lydia reabsorbed the ball entirely and turned to face the voices, hoping they hadn't seen anything. Binx turned to the newcomers with yet another goofy, cock-eyed grin and called out to them - or rather tried to. She was cut off by them calling out "DIBS!" in unison.

The two previously occupying the room turned to look at one another for a moment, just blinking back the surprise and confusion. "Uhh, hey. Intense game of dibs y'all got goin' on," Binx couldn't keep back her chuckle, not like she wanted too. "Welcome to the club."

Nzige had to chuckle at Theo's introduction. "Well met, Theo from Everywhere," Ziggy said, though she had a hunch he was American, possibly a New Yorker if her voice analysis was accurate. It was a very American thing to refuse to be defined, to see oneself as the 'default', and to believe that America's culture, like its military presence, was global. Ziggy did not hold these things against Theo, they were merely aspects of his culture that he imbibed from his environment, and one cannot control the circumstances of one's own birth.

Upon being offered the top bunk, Nzige approached the bed. She didn't mind which bunk either way, but as her hand absentmindedly went up to touch the frame, the inaudible sonic ping that occurred from the contact got swallowed up by the metal structure, returning a very faint echo to Ziggy's finger. These beds were made of vibranium, though not pure. The metal was highly resistant to vibrations, and could be forged to either absorb all sound or to perfectly transfer it without itself receiving any shock or wear.

What Theo said next though...one didn't have to be a sound expert to pick up on the muted pain behind the words. Nzige listened carefully to what he had to say. Ziggy wondered if Theo was here for a chance at redemption, not unlike herself. His statement about his laugh piqued Nzige's interest. For her, sounds, and by extension, voices and music, were mathematical waves, purely scientific. Though she understood the effects music could have on emotions, her analytical mind had to draw the line whenever a voice or song was said to have 'magical' properties. Sound was vibrations and nothing more, anything else was purely subjective and psychological. She would have to ask him to laugh later so she could analyze its properties. Maybe it was similar in concept to the brown note, and resonated at a frequency that somehow interfered with neurons instead of with the bowels.

Putting such thoughts aside, Ziggy could tell Theo was waiting for her response, waiting to know if she would accept or reject his existence. Her thoughts zeroed in on his hobbies. Baseball. Ziggy liked Cricket because she watched it with her stepfather growing up, but decided to avoid this topic; as far as she knew, those who liked cricket hated baseball, and those who liked baseball hated cricket. Like rugby and American football, it was a source of nationalistic pride, and the knee-jerk dislike of whatever was different or 'deviated' from what one was used to. Beer. Unfortunately, Nzige's religion forbade the consumption of alcohol, so any potential conversation that could be had was already dead.

Building shit. "My teacher builds things," Ziggy finally said, sidestepping the issue of Theo's mental health. For now, she'll treat it as a non-issue and respectfully deal with him like a normal person. As someone who's on the spectrum, Nzige most of the time just wants people to understand without making a big fuss; she wanted neither annoyed, inconvenienced rejection, nor patronizing sympathy, and hope Theo was the same way. Ziggy went to her luggage and pulled out a long bag. Unzipping it, she took out something long and thin wrapped in cloth. Pulling off the cloth, she revealed a metal rod with a triangular cross-section. "My abilities involve sound, so my teacher made this for me to help me channel and focus my power. You've seen Star Wars, right?" Gripping the handle with both hands, Ziggy channeled the iconic lightsaber activation crackle followed by a steady hum through the rod, though the rod did not glow. She playfully swung it around slowly, adjusting the volume of the hum to sync up with her swings, though she was careful not to let it touch anything as doing so would create a cacophony similar to fifty smartphones vibrating on an aluminum table. She hoped something silly like this would help relieve any tension and break the ice properly, though she had slight misgivings about using Princess Shuri's gift as a plaything.

Michael had to admit, he was actually a little disappointed when he stuck his last poster onto the wall and his roomie still hadn't arrived yet. He'd been hoping that she'd come in, see the weebshit plastered over half the room, and it'd be a nice conversation starter. But nope, nothing. It was almost enough to make him feel as if he weren't wanted, but he quickly squished those thoughts down lest he wind up crawling on to the mattress he'd already removed from the top bunks frame and dragged to his weeb side beneath the window, and cry himself to sleep.

This would without a doubt be a bad way to start his quest for friendship, so he disregarded that idea entirely. Instead, he moved on to plan B. Instead of moping around in the dorm room, he'd wander out into the common room and start making conversation with whoever he saw in there. You know, like normal people would. And hey, his roommate would have to wander through there at some point if she wanted to get to their room, so unless she planned to climb through the window, which was badass and he actively encouraged but that was besides the point, chances were they'd end up meeting in there anyway.

Once he'd made it to his classes gathering spot, he quickly noticed that no one fitting the description of Amalia Stark, which at this point was just 'is most likely a female' was there. He did notice two other guys in there. He wasn't sure if they'd noticed each other yet, but he was pretty sure he was about to remedy that.

"Hey guys! I guess you're both my classmates, huh?" He said happily, as well as maybe a just a little too loudly, as he walked over to one of them, who he wasn't quite sure, but he may or may not have had a tail... But he was getting distracted. He'd wait until after his introduction to bring it up. "I'm Michael Wilson, son of the universally beloved and definitelynotatallwidelyhated Wade Wilson! Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm going to take a wild shot and say that neither of you are Amalia Stark, right?"

Just standing next to them, he could already see that he was shorter than both of them, a fact he begrudgingly accepted. They seemed like the kind of people who were nice enough not to mention it though. At least, he thought they did. From the five second read he got from them by seeing them from across the room.

I don't know what's making me so afraid
Tiny cloud over my head
Heavy and grey with a hint of dread
I don't like to feel this way

When you’re a child barely able to go to sleep at night without a bedtime story, a kiss on the forehead, and an assurance that there are no monsters under the bed, you believe it. There’s something reassuring when your parents humor your childish fears. It’s funny in a way. People all around the world know that there are very real threats out there but much like a parent tucking you in at night and opening the closet to show you the scariest thing inside is the sweater your grandmother got you for Christmas when all you wanted was a dollhouse, the fact that everyone knows heroes will be there to beat back the threats is reassuring. Maybe that’s why children are more terrified of nonexistent monsters in the closet and not another maniacal madman threatening to turn an entire city into rubble.

But the thing is, monsters in the closet do exist. And they are more terrifying than whatever a child can imagine.

It’s no secret that the world is larger than people thought even as far back as the moon landing. Before, people just knew that Earth was all there was. Now people aren’t even sure if Earth is the only Earth. That’s what I think the various hero teams really do: protect that belief that Earth is the only place to be. Most people won’t ever leave Earth, won’t ever talk about Asgard in any capacity other than being the place where one of the Avengers is from. Most people don’t even know that there exists an entire dimension constantly knocking on the walls of Earth, trying to get inside and any attempt to tell them that is typically shot down or brushed aside. Unlike when aliens turn Manhattan into a warzone, this secret dimension isn’t a tangible threat. So of course, the people who can only ever aspire to heroism through normal good deeds don’t want to humor the notion that something far more sinister lurks behind every shadow. Unlike your parents, they don’t humor your fears.

The wind is invisible to the eye but everyone knows it exists. Why, then, do so many refuse to believe that there are monsters in the closet? Moreover, that the voices in your head aren’t always just inner monologue, aren’t just the id and superego being the devil and angel on your shoulders. Everyone interacts with those voices in the head differently, those monsters in the closet gnawing at your brain.

What happens when the voices in your head talk back to you? When is a good time to be afraid? What should I do when everyone, even my parents, tells me that there is no monster in my closet?

What do I do if it wants to get out?

-Zofia’s Diary

Zofia Maximoff wasn’t in the auditorium with the rest of the new students. She couldn’t risk one of them coming up to her, startling her, and her freezing up or worse. Fortunately, the upside of going to a school that lived in the sky was there was always a soothing breeze that lapped at her hair. Zofia had found a bench on the quad, near enough to the auditorium that she would be able to tell when the meeting ended but far enough away that she wouldn’t be disturbed. Open in her lap was a crimson covered notebook whose pages looked like papyrus parchment and whose pages were blank. Zofia’s left hand was hovering over the open page, a dark black and red swirling aura surrounded the hand which was moving over the paper like a typewriter or someone taking notes.

There were certainly words being written but it was in a type that only Zofia or those in tune with magic could detect and translate. Considering her diary didn’t have a lock and key, this was certainly a novel way to keep her secrets from being exposed. The hand that was doing the magical diary keeping was shaking, but not with the normal drifting shake of someone putting pen to paper, but the fearful, nervous shake of someone leaving a note for the police to find in order to solve the mystery of her murder.

“At least the paper didn’t light up.” Zofia clenched and loosened her left hand and the aura dissipated, leaving just a seemingly empty diary open in her lap, her black compression tights shaking with the idle taping of her foot. Her right hand closed the diary and for the first time since sitting down to jot her thoughts, Zofia Maximoff looked up, the breeze of the open air blowing strands of her rusted copper hair against her brow. Her eyes glanced towards the auditorium but the stream of bodies that followed a commencement hadn’t yet been unleashed so it seemed the orientation speech was still on going. Zofia should’ve been inside, listening to the principal, seeing some of the people she would be spending the term with, but she wasn’t. Crowds of people tended to unnerve her, and she couldn’t exactly subject a room full of strangers to a potential accident caused by her. People tended to get expelled for destruction of school property, let alone bodily harm towards a fellow student and somehow she doubted “I can’t control it” would work more than once.

“Maybe I should’ve gone to Xavier’s” Zofia spoke to herself, not under her breath but not loud enough to be seen as a crazy person talking to herself. Mobius was a top of the line academy with more funding than some impoverished nations got in a decade of aid, but one thing Mobius didn’t exactly have was an entire student body and staff who understood the confusion that came with abilities that were as much a threat to the self as the individual. Mutants had a familiarity with waking up one day and suddenly being able to harm someone just by looking at them or something and they’d built something of a strong support structure; her mother counted herself as a mutant but still Wanda had insisted Zofia give Mobius a try rather than Xavier’s School and Zofia wasn’t sure why. Maybe it was the lame uniforms the X-Men had.

“Why couldn’t I just...be normal?” It was a question Zofia asked herself more than once though the first time was after the first time her powers manifested and she got into a shouting match with her mother that turned into an ugly cry session and Zofia sleeping deeper than she had in years. It was a rich sentiment, wanting to be normal when she was sure there were a lot of ‘normal’ kids out there who wished they could be superheroes, saving the world and inspiring people. Perhaps that’s why they had that saying about grass.

Zofia glanced towards the auditorium again just in time to see the doors swing open and some of the next generation of heroes spill out, moods up and bright, smiles and chatter, and the excitement of a first day of school before the doldrums of the second day set in. Seeing it made her smile, weakly, a brief flash of an upturned corner of her lips and then it was back to her distant, seemingly sad expression. Would she have that if she stayed? Could she? Did she deserve it?

“No…” Zofia’s head shook softly, dropping her eyes once again. She would have to go into the auditorium eventually, though maybe if she went to the office she could just get the information she needed there. She just hoped whoever her room mate was that she would be understanding with Zofia’s...everything. Zofia would even let her roommate have the top bunk if she so wanted, assuming this was like summer camp and there were bunk beds and not just two beds like a normal dorm room. This place was funded by billionaires and government agencies they had enough to spring for individual beds, surely.

Another glance towards the auditorium was met with Zofia taking a deep breath and standing up, though not before sliding her diary into a pouch around her waist. She was going to have to face the masses sooner or later, and before long people would be coming this way whether she liked it or not. It was time to put on a smile and practice her monosyllabic responses; if people thought she wasn’t interested they tended to leave her alone. It was a double edged sword, really. She wanted those friendships, those relationships, that came naturally to others, but it was too dangerous to do so. She didn’t need someone getting close and then a repeat of...just a repeat.

With another deep sigh, Zofia turned to her right to begin the long march to the auditorium to gather what she surely needed - only after one step she found herself stopped by an immovable object. A bright light shone in her face like an eye exam at the doctor or a kid looking directly into a flashlight and pretending it’s the sun. Zofia’s left hand went up to cover her eyes and in so doing the black, crimson aura returned to swirl around her hand and wrist. “No..it’s...no…” She was wincing while her eyes were trying to focus, and just as suddenly as the light appeared, so too did it disappear - though the owner of the light, as Zofia noticed when her vision returned and she glanced downward - remained in place.

“Did you know you’re talking to yourself? Also, your hand is on fire. Are you Johnny Storm’s kid? No, wait, Angelica Jones. You look like an Angelica Jones kid. Anyway, do you have anything to say to….wow, twenty five hundred people? Holy farkle, I’m FAMOUS! And it’s just my first DAY! Anyway, any words for them? Preferably directions to the auditorium and also my dorm?”

Zofia could barely keep up with the new arrival, she spoke so quickly...something about twenty five hundred farkles? What did that mean? Who was Angel Jones? “Please...go…” Zofia turned away from the smaller girl and walked as quickly as she could while still holding her left hand up to her forehead.

“Well, she seemed nice! My first conversation with another hero in training! AWESOME! Come on, true believers, this tour isn’t over yet!”

But we are young, we get by
Can't go mad, ain't got time
Sleep around if we like
But we're alright

Zofia Maximoff hadn’t been the only Mobius student to not be at the assembly in the auditorium but unlike the morose magician, Riley Quinn wasn’t in the auditorium for the simple reason that she didn’t know where it was. And also for the not so simple reason that this was a once in a lifetime live stream opportunity and if she had gone to the auditorium and streamed the speech or whatever, there was probably rules against it. But as a certifiable reader (well...skimmer) of fine print, Riley knew that there was no such rule that said she couldn’t broadcast a live tour of the Mobius campus. It was frowned upon, sure, but frowned upon was just a nice way of saying ‘victimless crime’...plus she really needed to see how strong the wifi signal was up in the sky.

Turns out? Pretty decent.

While the students were shuffled to the auditorium after arriving however they did, Riley used her height to her advantage. She was short, probably one of the shortest students at Mobius naturally - it was possible someone here could pull a Pym particle in the hamstring and shrink to hang with some water bears, but that was a technicality! Riley’s short height was possibly her greatest asset, no one would ever assume the five foot nothing could possibly be the host body for a hulking green monster - and not the energy drinks she had a slight addiction to; well, no one would assume that until she tweeted it out to the world as soon as she awoke from the coma she put herself in.

She made a meme about it and everything. It was a classic case of ‘I lived, bitch, also I’m a superhero’ complete with selfie of her in the hospital bed. The downside of having such a viral tweet is that people showed up to the hospital room. People in suits. With attache cases. She thought it was the Twitter cops there to tell her to delete the tweet but it was actually a legal team from S.H.I.E.L.D. or something to walk her and her parents through the enrollment process. It was really kind of a dick move from S.H.I.E.L.D. because her parents had spent the better part of two weeks crying over the fact that their only daughter put herself into a coma after damn near killing herself with gamma radiation poisoning and then men in suits told them their daughter was going to superhero school.

Life moves fast and that’s why Riley had to document everything.

Riley, being short in stature but large in internet presence, had left the crowd of people entering the auditorium and promptly took out her phone, her selfie stick, and started up a live stream in the IRL category. ‘HulkStan62’ hadn’t been streaming lately - probably because of the aforementioned radiation coma - which was why Riley was determined to make this the best stream ever!

“What’s up, true believers, it’s me, HulkStan62 and for those of you who thought I was dead: joke’s on you, I only wish I was dead! Just kidding, that’s some of that humor that got me a following! If I was dead, I couldn’t be broadcasting to you live from MOBIUS ACADEMY! That’s right, bitches, move over S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, this is the coolest thing in the skies! Even cooler than Iron Man! What? Of course it’s not cooler than The Hulk, jazzdood77, but The Hulk doesn’t fly he just jumps really high so that means he’s not ‘in the skies’. Duh.”

People came to her streams always trying to catch her slipping, like she would one day just look at the camera and say she was trolling in her fandom for the greatest member of The Avengers. Of course not! Her name was HULKSTAN62, and you can’t just lie about who you stan! Her stance on superhero rankings had caused her a fair bit of controversy but it wasn’t her fault everyone who disagreed with her on the internet was wrong.

“ANYWAY, for those of you who ever doubted me and my devotion, guess who’s laughing now? THAT’S RIGHT IT’S ME! Look around! While you’re all going to normie school and eating mystery meat and getting wedgies and stuff, I’m at MOBIUS ACADEMY and I’m trying not to freak out! Look, there’s...some sort of building!” Riley pointed the camera to one of the dorm buildings, and then pointed towards what she assumed was a classroom but who could really say.

“Thanks, Jinkerbell, for the 500 bits! Maybe think about subscribing? Because I’ll be bringing you all the insider scoops on the future heroes of tomorrow! Which I’ll be part of, because I’m gonna be like, a Hulk, guys! No, c00KIECrisp, I’m not gonna transform right now, I’d get suspended or something!”

So long as she didn’t know the trigger conditions, that was going to be her excuse when people in her chat or in comments asked why she wasn’t transforming. Granted, she doubted her other self would care about a livestream and would, in fact, probably as soon break a phone rather than dab for likes in front of one. Riley’s tour of the grounds was an informal and confusing one, though there were signs clearly pointing things out, Riley ignored or outright didn’t see them and just walked wherever she liked. She couldn’t tell where the auditorium was, only that the buildings were way bigger than she thought they were; the layout seemed bigger than some college campuses.

“No, this isn’t just an empty park! All the students are at an orientation meeting, that’s why no one’s around!” So many doubters, so many haters who just couldn’t get over the fact that she was basically an Avenger now. “Look, see? There’s someone over there, and her hands are GLOWING RED!” Riley pointed the camera towards a girl wearing a red jacket and a dark skirt sitting on a bench. She kept the camera trained on the girl and started making her way towards her.

“Why couldn’t I just...be normal?”

“You hear that, true believers? She’s talking to herself. Maybe we can talk to her instead!” Riley crept closer and moved quicker when she saw the girl stand up. “Oh, there’s the auditorium!” Riley whispered, quickly turning the camera towards the sound of shuffling students, before she turned back to the muttering girl up until both paths collided with each other and Riley’s camera light was flashing in the face of the other girl.

Riley watched as the camera shy girl turned and walked away with purpose. She didn’t get a name, but Riley counted that as a success. “Alright, true believers, let’s go get to know some people, get into trouble, and also maybe find out where my room is because I need to check the wifi signal indoors!”

Still broadcasting to her increasing live audience, Riley started heading towards buildings that, for all she knew, was where her room was but could’ve been anywhere. Someone would help her out, and if they did, they would be the SECOND guest on what would surely become known as the GREATEST STREAM EVER!

”Well that was badass”

”I agree” Theo attempted to fist bump the figment of his imagination as they stood in awe of Ziggy’s abilities. It made sense now why the two may have been put together, with both of their gifts having something to do with sound.

In the spirit of sharing, the former baseball star moved over to his bags and grabbed one of the smaller ones, taking it over to the bedside table. ”That’s a sweet toy, here are mine” He unzipped the bad and emptied it’s contents into the table; tiny, marble sized jack o lanterns. ”These are all, essentially miniature explosives. All on a timer, expandable and I have a decent range with them especially if I hit them with my bat over there” he motioned to the baseball bat against the wall. ”They have different functions, concussive, incendiary, electro shock to name a few. I’ve been working on a sonic one, trying to harness my laugh but...sorry this is a lot...erm...but yeah, I tinker with this stuff, it’s kinda just intuitive. I’m actually quite dumb”

”Damn right you are” Normie began walking out of the open door. ”Bored now, gonna go fuck with shit. See you in the shower, hot roommate” Giggling like the school boy he was, the last son of the house Osborn ran from out of the dormitory and disappeared from view.

Theo cocked an eyebrow, Normie was even more of a pain dead than he was alive. It seemed like the dead just couldn’t leave him alone. ”It’s gonna be great getting to know you, Ziggy. We’re gonna have fun together” The absence of a voice in his head was always very brief but in those few minutes, Theo felt like himself again, he felt like the Big Tuna, like McDungus, he had many names but the one he felt like the most was his own. He felt like Theo Blanchard.

Wanting to make the most of the clarity, Theo awkwardly crossed his arms across his chest in an attempt at the Wakandan national salute and did a stupidly deep bow. ”I’m sorry, this really ain’t my thing but I’m gonna go, you know, explore, see what mischief can be made. I’ll let you get comfy without, you know, me...lurking….God I’m hungry...sorry...yeah catch you in a bit roomie” Swiftly, the New Yorker made his escape from the room, kicking one of his own bags and stubbing his toe as he did, like the absolute tit that he was.

In search of food, Theo placed his headphones back onto his head in time for the start of the next song on his playlist. The 80’s were his jam and he'd be damned if anyone told him it sucked. With the weight of the Goblin Childe off of his shoulders for a moment, he danced down the corridor and out into the world of Mobius, interested to see what else it had to offer.

AND

Alex surveyed the room around him and took note of the students already there. The one upside down seemed to be dozing off and the other guy there was staring intently at the television. Alexander wasn’t in the mood to be the one to break the ice, so he looked for somewhere else to sit. Seeing a small table in the corner of the room he made his way past the couch and sat on one of the chairs. After sitting down Alex began to absentmindedly listen to the television while focusing on one of his rings. He made the small piece of metal slide off his finger and levitate above his palm. As the ring slowly began to spin Alex began to think about the first day of classes tomorrow. That was when he realized he had forgotten to check who his teacher and roommate were. Alex nodded approvingly at seeing War Machine was his teacher but had no reaction to the name Tristan Castillo. He had never heard the name before and couldn’t tell anything from the name, other than his roommate was probably a guy.

Anton finally found his way into the common room seeing that there were already a few students inside. Not having paid much attention to the room when he entered the building, Anton took a second to get a feel for his surroundings. Looking between the student the two in front of the TV seemed to be very interested in the program while the third was sitting alone at a table. Walking up to the table Anton figured it was best to simply rip off the bandaid of avoiding talking to people. “Greetings comrade. Would you mind if I sit down?”

Alex looked up at the voice speaking to him, then continued looking up as he realized the man in front of him was a giant. “Uhm, yeah sure, why not?” Alexander waited for the giant to sit down and tried to glean some information from his appearance. Made obvious by his greeting was the fact the giant was Russian. Other than being tall and Russian Alex got no hint of what his abilities were.

“I’m Alexander, nice to meet you.” Alex held out a hand to shake the giant’s, leaving the ring hovering where he left it. “Look forward to learning with you.”

Taking Alex’s hand Anton gave him a genuine smile at the greeting replying “The Name is Anton and I look forward to working together as a team.” letting go of Alex’s hand Anton’s attention was pulled toward the ring that was still levitating above Alex’s hand as they were talking. “That is interesting power.” not taking his eyes off the ring as it slowly rotated in the air without restriction “Are you a mutant as well?”

Alex nodded while responding to Anton, “So you’re a mutant then, what is your gift?” Alex looked back at the ring and had it drift around the room as he listened to Anton speak. The ring glided around the couch and back into his hands where it slid onto a finger. “I’m glad there are other mutants in my class, makes this whole experience a bit less lonely, does it not?”

Anton was impressed at not only Alexanders power but his fine control over it as well. Smiling Anton lifted his arm from the table showing the back of his hand to Alexander. A second later his hand was covered in a shiny metal covering that slowly moved down his arm in sections stoping somewhere underneath his shirt. “I can cover my whole body in Metal or just my arm. What about you? What is your power exactly?”

“I can manipulate magnetic fields, though you can think of it as controlling metal with some extra benefits.” Alexander leaned back and looked out a nearby window at the skyscrapers outside and let his mind wander. He had been nervous to talk about his powers and planed ongoing as long as possible without saying his full name. He hoped the giant next to him couldn’t connect the dots just yet. The only reason he had been so open about his powers was that he didn’t want to seem like he was hiding anything from his classmates.

With the same sound of metal sliding Anton’s arms once again returned to normal. Letting it rest on the table Anton continued to listen to what Alexanders powers were. “With a power like that, I’m glad we are teammates.” Anton was surprised to see someone’s power that used his own against him. Pausing for a moment Anton looked around the common room checking if any of their other classmates had joined them. Seeing no one new entering he returned his gaze towards Alexander. “Who do you think will be joining us in our class?”

Being late was a way of life, not a choice.

Jess never had any intention of further education once she had finally graduated from high school in Winnipeg. The plan was to make a couple of indie documentaries, get them into some film festivals and then success would make the big wide world her oyster. However a cave dive, a few terrigen crystals and her trillions of quantum displaced atoms changed that plan!

Forgetfulness was a trait that she had apparently inherited from her late mother Patty. Jessica’s father had reminded her a thousand times that she had to be at a certain place by a certain time to get the shuttle for Mobius. Well she done did fucked that one up the poor girl. Luckily for her, she wasn’t the only one that was late. In the few months since she had activated her inhumanity, Jess had met a handful of other inhumans in the area thanks to her father's connections; one of whom was Thad Richardson, the all American jock type...in Canada, with the ability to fly. He was a lovely kid, little bit dim but nice enough and he was going to be joining Mobius too. Thad had also missed the transport by seconds so Jess decided to take a little initiative. She jumped into his body and took full control, pursuing the shuttle. Thanks to Jess’ power bi-product of supercharging, Thad shot off like a rocket at close to mach speeds, a shame she didn’t know how to stick the landing. Sorry Thad, you’re gonna be sore in the morning.

Emerging from her current host, Jessica swiftly placed her gloves back on and tapped the disoriented jock on the cheek like the golden retriever he was. ”Thanks for the ride handsome, I owe you one!”. Jess hadn’t been an inhuman long but she already knew how to use her gifts to her advantage. She sprinted off down the campus, going as fast as her legs would take her, having literally no idea where on Earth she was supposed to be going. Thad began ”...so then we were in the pool and she started taking her shirt off and...” he stopped suddenly. Wait this wasn’t the bus stop. This isn't even Winnipeg. What the hell happened? He brought his gaze upwards at the monstrosity of the future, Mobius. ”...woah”

Jessie stood out wherever she was, it was just a fact. She was gorgeous, she knew that and she dressed a little outlandish, maybe not now compared to potential alien classmates with three heads and four boobs but running around in vintage fashion was her jam. Today’s ensemble was simple, leather pants and a Fozzy vest with her faithful gloves to avoid physical contact and accidental body hopping; Scott Bakula never had that problem on Quantum Leap, it’s just not fair. On this fine morn her long flowing hair was dark, though she’d probably dye it again in a week, it was a thing.

Luckily for Jess, she had a friend in the assembly who had text her that she was to be in group 1-D with Ant Man as her mentor. Not her first choice but fuck it, beggars cannot be choosers. Knowing the assembly was finished, she decided that going straight to the dorms would be the best plan. She sprinted passed a delicious looking guy talking to himself and eating a sandwich. She noted that the building may have been a cafeteria, good to know. Accidently passing through a few walls as she gawked at the boy, Jess soon found herself on candid camera as she came face to lense with a short girl wielding the deadliest weapon on Earth, a cell phone.

”Oh hey. You’re a pretty little thing! Can you tell me where, 1-D is?”

BAMF!

A purple cloud of displaced atmosphere briefly appeared on the outside of that meeting room. Down the hall, a boy of azure skin bounced in his steps as the trumpets blared in his headphones. His eyes closed as he seemed to be simply in his own little world while the music was playing.

Finally! How long was that guy gonna go on for?! It was just school. Or well, maybe different than that. Super school, but, for Dillan, it was just like home really. A bunch of kids like him learning about how to control their powers and use them for good. It actually kinda bummed him out that Miss Kitty and Uncle Bub weren't gonna be his teachers...But his teacher would probably be cool anyway, whoever he was. Honestly, it kind of surprised him that it took the human heroes this long to come up with this idea.

If you asked him, they stole Grandmaster X's idea, but thaaaat was none of his business.

What was actually kinda crazy was that a couple of his friends from the institute were here too! He remembered all the good times they spent together. Ah the memories....that didn't exist yet. It wasn't exactly his core group of buddies that were here, but he at least saw some of them around the institute back then. Though, it'd be totally cool to meet them. After all, even though a lot had changed, not everbody liked mutants...especially if they looked like him...So, he'd need victims friends here he could go bother. Hopefully they were in his class! Though, thinking of that reminded him...didn't he say something about a keycard?

His eyes opened and he patted his khaki pant pockets, then his jacket pockets...Where was it...wait. His tail didn't quite feel right, so he brought the end of it up to eye-view. Believe it or not, there it was! Looking at it a little closer though, he noticed the dormitory said 1-D. Like the boy band? He shook his head of the horror. Like a flashback, the song repeated forever in his head...You don't kno-o-ow-- Wait, he didn't know. The "one does not simply" guy said something about bunk beds...he was sharing a room with someone? He never had to back at home....Crap. Well, he could at least beat them there and get the good side.

Just imagine a boring hallway, his name on one of the walls...and...

BAMF!

Just like that, he was just outside of the door to his room. Though, the name on the front next to his own confused him a little bit. "Kino....Meecheeruu?" Dill said it out loud to try the pronounciation...Wait, Me-Cheer-You was roomed with him? He remembered her, she was cool! She had tattoos like the markings on his skin kind of. Though...he was roomed with a girl. That was a thing? He thought only guys could room with other guys. Or did they mistake him for a girl somehow? He looked back down at his keycard, and the door. They said his name on both. This sounded like an anime...

Whatever, it couldn't be that bad. Though, something caught the corner of his eye all the way down the hall. In a slightly bigger room down there, his eyes widened on what he saw. Was that a vending machine?! BAMF! He was just as quickly in front of it, staring at all the snacks in it, eyes glazed and nearly drooling. His eyes surveyed around him to not see anyone. Perfect. No one would see, in which case...he dug a hand in his pocket and pulled out a dollar and let the machine eat it.

A digit punched in the digits E4, and to his convenience, the spiral within at the coordinates released one of packaged food items. His tail went to the flap that contained it and pulled the snack out. Short work of the wrapper later and he bit into it. A sharp-toothed grin slid to his lips. Aaaah....Hunybuns. BAMF!

Now on the inside of his room, he looked around at the basic furnishings. Looked pretty good, like a new hotel room nd stuff and there was even a bathroom on the inside of it too. He set down his bookbag in one corner. Now to get his stuff...What, you thought he brought a bag for that? Of course not! If he timed this right, he should be able to get his stuff from home in here no problem.

But, like Hank said, he had to keep his priorities in order when he came her. So, before leaving to grab his things, he made sure to push his new vending machine into the corner where there was an open outlet, and plugged it in. There, perfect.~

1C Common Room

When Gene got to the common room, he saw that he wasn’t the first one there. There was another guy already in the common room, with black hair and a beard. Gene wasted no time in politely approaching him and offering his hand. May as well make friends with the people you’re going to be living with for the foreseeable future.

”Hey. I’m Gene. What’s up?” he greeted casually yet in a friendly, approachable tone.

Joziah saw a new person walk into the common area. Hmm, this man is strange as he seems very rough and even animal like. Well that and the fact that this man had a tail. Well, all manner of things exist because of mutations, so this is not the strangest thing.

"Hello! I'm Joziah. You know, the ceiling. How've you been?". Joziah asks him out of kindness as he takes the man's hand and shakes it with a smile.

While shaking hands, Gene delivered a dry ‘Hah!’ in response to the joke, but he was still smiling, so he must have appreciated it. ”I’ve been alright. Flight up wasn’t too long. Can’t say I’m looking forward to classes. I’m basically here because I had to promise my mom. What about you? What’s your story? Actually, no. First answer me this,” Gene interjected, interrupting himself as he perked up and grinned. ”What’s your superpower?”

Joziah held a smile and listened to Gene’s feelings, his travel, and why he was here. Gene asked Joziah of why he was here and his power, not the strangest things to ask, hell they would be normal here, ”Ah my power, I use mind powers!”

As Joziah shakes his hands near his head as he shifts his body making joke of mysticism as he continues, ”But yeah my powers are psychic and telekinesis, I came here, on what my mentor has said, to see the wider truth of being a hero. And I Personally found the trip here too long, well that also comes from the fact that I dislike planes. But other than that I should bounce the question back to you, what is your power?”

”My power?” replied Gene, taking a second to figure out how to word it, ”I can do whatever a squirrel can. But really, I’m Squirrel Girl’s son and basically have the same powers except I can also talk to rats. Really, if you’re psychic you could find out anything you wanted to about me. I share no secrets with my dorm mates. Or does it not work like that?”

"Naw naw, I don't have enough power to read too deep. I can mostly use my telepathy to just talk with others. You know, when you don't feel like talking or just only want one person to know. Other than that my power is quite limited. But hey, your power is quite cool! I never knew Squirrel Girl had a child. But hey, it would be good to have you, you seem like a nice dude. What's some stuff you're into? Joziah asks as he does gesture for the both of them to sit and talk.

Gene sat down, leaning back into the chair instead of sitting upright. He did not stand on ceremony. He was clearly somebody who took every opportunity to relax. “Stuff? Well, I’m into movies, TV binges, parkour,-”

He was about to continue, when a pretty short guy came into the room, and introduced himself as Michael Wilson. No freaking way. Deadpool’s son was in the same dorm as them? This was going to be a riot!

”Hey! Welcome to the party,” Gene greeted. ”I’m Gene Green. Definitely not Amelia Stark.” He then turned to Joziah with a grin. ”Hey, Jozie. You’re not Amelia Stark, are you?”

”Oh hello there!” Joziah said as he saw a new man who entered the room and introduced himself. Wilson? Like Deadpool Wilson? Oh no, this could be a strange day and fun life, ”Nope. I am not Amelia, I am Joziah”. As he stands to goes to properly greet Michael.

Michael nodded. Well, he did internally. Looks like the two had actually been in the middle of a conversation, something he wasn’t entirely sure how he’d managed to not pick up on. Still they’d let him weasel his way into their conversation, and he wasn’t about to let them know what a mistake that was. Seeing that they’d both taken a seat, he decided to do the same. However, where they used the couches like normal people, Michael summoned a nice, blunted sword in the air behind him and flopped backwards onto it. Of course, it hardly seemed like it could be called a sword if you were to merely look at it. It was too big, too thick, too heavy, and too rough, more like a large hunk of iron than a sword.

Or, as Michael generally used it for, a floating surfboard.

After a few moments of maneuvering himself into a comfy position, he floated over towards the pair.

”Gene Green huh? I like it!” He said with a wide, more likely than not stupid-looking grin plastered across his face. “Names that rhyme are always a plus in my book. Plus there are plenty of puns to be made with colour names! Also, that is a tail right? I’m not just hallucinating again?”

He spun a little further so he could face both Gene and Joziah, while also repositioning himself atop the sword so he was lying on his stomach, head in his hands.

”And Joziah… Joey! Unless you’ve already got another nickname I should know about. I’m open to suggestions! Honestly, I’d really prefer if you had something better, Joey is kinda boring...”

”Yes, that is a tail!” Gene replied, standing up just so he could give it a few thwips and show it off. ”A squirrel tail to be precise. And my full name’s Eugene Green but…I’m not a Eugene at all. You can call me anything but Eugene.”

”I mean I have two, you can take your choice. A simple one is ‘Z’ as Joziah is spelt with a Z, but you can also call me Jojo, Jean always thought it was a nice nickname my grandmother always used to use. As my middle name is Johnathan, as Joziah Johnathan, Jojo”. Joziah did agree Joey was a boring nickname, and found it kinda lackluster, as it was normally used for many names starting with Jo.

“Oh my god, you’re a Jojo?!” Michael all but shouted, his grin somehow stretching even wider, while simultaneously gaining a sly edge to it. “Wow, never thought I’d be lucky enough to meet one of you guys for real… Tell me, you got a Stand, or are you more of a traditionalist Hamon user?”

He looked back to Gene.

“Neat, I bet that’s gotta be pretty helpful for balance! And Winter, probably. You could probably take advantage of that to be a pretty good martial artist, if you haven’t already… Ooh, like Ojiro!”

And then he floated back slightly, so he could face the pair of them without having to turn around constantly.

“So anyway, you’ve already heard of pops, I can see it in your faces. But, you know, that’s good, because it’d be a pretty boring conversation if I kept talking about myself too long! But yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and make the wild guess that you’re related to Squirrel Girl somehow, what with the tail and the shared last name and stuff… And you,” he said, pointing to Joziah, “I know it’s a long shot, but I’m really hoping for Joseph Joestar.”

”Well I can’t show you what my Stand looks like but…” As Joziah stands up and takes an extravagant and imposing pose as he uses his telekinesis to bring the remote to him so he can change the channel. He then sits back down in a calm manner as he swings his leg wide and crosses his legs as he starts channel surfing. As Joziah then continued, ”My parentage shall remain a mystery, yet just know my Father is also a JoJo”.

Gene shook his head, watching these two with a confused look on his face. ”I know you’re referencing something,” he stated. ”But I don’t get it. But yeah, Squirrel Girl’s my mom. So what is this ‘Jojo’? Is it like a TV show or something?”

“Ha, yeah, well just as with you, I too cannot reveal my Stand to you.” Michael said with an overdramatic flourish of his own. “I can, however, tell you that he is the one holding up the sword you see before you!”

“Why, we’re just referencing real life!”
Michael replied to Gene. “I understand that between me and Jojo, it might be a little hard to follow, but it’s important to remember that the real world can be far more bizarre than fiction. That’s what makes it such an exciting adventure!”

And then he paused for a moment, before deciding that it was probably better to not be so weird about it.

”Uh, forget that. Actually don’t, because it is a pretty good way to view life and makes me seem like I know what I’m talking about more than I really do, but it’s Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.”

Not quite sure of how to close off his statement, Michael decided to settle with another overdramatic pose.

Joziah laughs as it is fun to find someone who follows the joke. As he stops on Jojo Bizarre Adventure as he then says, ”Well you can understand the reference after seeing a bit. But if you don’t feel like it we can put something else on”. As he stands up and says, ”Well I’m gonna grab drinks anyone want anything?”

”Just a coke or something. I’m actually really not fussy,” Gene replied, sitting back down. ”Wonder what I should do later. Still haven’t really looked around. Haven’t even checked my room out yet.”

Nzige looked on in interest as Theo displayed some of his contraptions, being quite used to the small mechanical knick-knacks of her mentor, Princess Shuri. Realizing Theo was giving her the Wakandan salute, Ziggy hurriedly brought her hands up to return the gesture, surprised to be using it here. It was somewhat nice to know that the culture of her home was spreading throughout the world. As he explained that he was heading out to get something to eat, Ziggy let him know that she'll just be here, unpacking, now that they've more-or-less divvied up their respected spaces.

Granted Ziggy didn't have much to unpack, given that she preferred to live out of her luggage case since it was quite organized and everything was accessible. She also didn't have such a massive nor high-maintenance wardrobe that she needed to hang up a lot of articles of clothing. Ziggy was also not very artistically creative nor self-expressive, and had very little demands when it came to decoration, though she did have a small plaque of Arabic calligraphy with Quranic verses that her father believed warded off jinns. Though Nzige did wear the hijab, Theo didn't really mention it. Ziggy was unsure how he would feel if she put this plaque up. Her father had warned her that in the Western world, Islam was reviled at worst, and seen as strange and foreign at best. Considering Theo was American, and likely from New York...Nzige put the plaque back in her trunk. She would try to broach the topic with Theo at a later date. She hoped he would be tolerant, after all, Ms. Marvel was doing an amazing job presenting Islam and Muslims in a positive light.

@Th3King0fChaos

Having done all she wanted for now, Ziggy stepped out of her room and into the 1A common area, to notice a fairly large fellow student taking up space. There didn't seem to be anyone around; the other students of 1A must either still have been in their rooms getting sorted, hadn't arrived yet, or like Theo, had gone out to explore the rest of campus. She wanted to check out the amenities, but felt it would be rude not to introduce herself to a fellow classmate. "H-hey, you're also in 1A, right? Peace be upon you, my name is Nzige Nyenje, from Wakanda, but I go by Ziggy."

mentions Dill @DC the Dragon

It wasn't like she didn't see it coming. If anything, she was surprised it took the Professor and Scoot Soomers this long to kick her out. She had rolled up out of the Professor's office after the news came down that she was in fact, not being 'kicked out' but more along the lines of 'continuing her studies with a change of scenery'. Which equates to yes, she was being kicked out.

'Jokes on them' she smirked to herself as strode down the empty corridor. Everyone was in classes, and she was of the few individuals that got the privilege to move their shit to Mobius. Dill was already busying himself by popping in and out of his room every couple of minutes, boxes of his stuff in his arms every time and Kino really wanted the convenience of BAMFing herself into her dorm. At least just on the fucking thing. She really didn't want to have to carpool on the QuinJet-bus equivalent.

"Heyyy Dill~?" She crooned out to him, and after a very brief conversation of her idea for him to poof her to their dorms, he was in. "YESSS! Lemme grab some stuff real quick," she called behind her as she rushed to her own room, not but a few doors down from his. This was too good, she wasn't gonna have to wait. Well, if she stopped to think about it, how was everything else gonna get up there? She shrugged and pushed it from her mind as her inked fingers lightly traced the framed picture of her and her siblings. She was gonna miss them, but Kino would just make sure that they video call every night; at least with her sister she would. Kino hadn't heard from Yuuji in a few months and hoped he was alright. 'He is. He is.' A mantra to help put her sprinting mind at ease for the last 10 or so years of her life.

Snapping herself out of her own daze, she grabbed the frame and gently placed it in her duffel bag, zipping it up and slinging it across her back. The sheer weight and awkward shape of it all, having been stuffed with all her necessary items caused her to lose her balance - more than once - just on her way to the threshold of her, now, old room.

As she regained some semblance of her bearings she began to rush down the hall towards Dill, only to not be able to stop fast enough and caused herself to ram straight into his back
- as he was traveling -
great.

Now, Kino had traveled with Dill before for training purposes at Xavier's as well as just to fuck around and get outta the confines of the institute. However, it was never too far and never for very long. And in all those times, she had prided herself for not getting as nauseous as the others. An iron stomach and all.

This proved her wrong. Oh so wrong.

Dill had BAMF'd into what she assumed to be a room, based on the very, very quick glance she got when she dropped down like she was sneaking around in the ceiling vents. Dill of course was nowhere to be found, most likely having BAMF'd himself somewhere more graceful, and Kino - she wasn't so lucky. She instead found herself landing on something... er, rather, someone.

The Thor siblings didn’t realize how easy they had it. Their talent was natural, their power was natural. They didn’t have to work for anything! Søren was going to be a king one day — and not just any king, but the king of fucking Asgard, and the protector of the Nine Realms. He’d inherited Mjölnir for fuck’s sake. And his sister? His sister could fire photon blasts out of her goddamn hands and fly without the help of a hammer pulling her off. Chris? What could Chris do? Chris could come up with plans.

He was the plan guy, that was all he really brought to the table! He was the guy who pointed Thunderstruck in the right direction and then usually? He got the hell out of their way before they accidentally blew him up. He was good at being stealthy, and he was good at talking his way out of problems, but he wasn’t good at what they were good at. They were the powerhouses, he was just… the man with a plan.

So, naturally, when they didn’t all get grouped into a class together (for fuck’s sake, Chris sent letters! LETTERS. HE EVEN LAMINATED ONE), it was all his fault, and the siblings expected him to ‘fix it,’ and to him it was just like… Fix what? It wasn’t his fault! He wasn’t the one sitting at a computer and building the classes, so how was he supposed to fix that.

“I don’t have the power of mind manipulation,” he grumbled to himself, shaking his head. What exactly did they expect him to do without that? Sure, he was usually able to get people to his side, but it was hard enough with experienced people, let alone the teachers running this school. These people were real. Wolverine was not a joke. If he said the wrong thing to one of these teachers, then his life was over, and he’d never become the world’s greatest hero!

Why couldn’t the Thor siblings just enjoy life split up for once? It wasn’t nearly as big of a deal as they were making it out to be. Did they still have separation anxiety or something? It wasn’t like they were twins, or even really close enough for it to be a problem… AND BESIDES, THEY WERE SHARING A CLASS.

Chris needed something to distract himself, while he thought of a plan. Or a way to get out of it… Looking around, he found it in the way of a girl who looked like she was crying, or at the very least having an awful time — and it was before they even had sex. That was already better than last time.

Pretty girls were the best way to cheer oneself up!

Chris approached the girl on the bench, and with a smile, offered a greeting: “Hey, are you okay?”

Zofia had made a mistake in coming here, of that she was certain even after just arriving shortly before orientation happened. While she didn’t know any of her other schoolmates, she doubted very much that the lot of them were as...uniquely unqualified as her. Of course, the metric for her lack of qualification was her own, but given how she could barely talk to the girl with a cellphone on a stick she felt qualified to make that assessment. After darting away from that girl in a hurry, Zofia realized she didn’t have anywhere to go, she didn’t know this school, its layout, or any of its staff on any level. Her mother mentioned something about a Wolverine, but Zofia initially assumed her mother was talking about the animal.

She still wasn’t sure her mother wasn’t.

After fleeing the scene of the sudden interview, Zofia found an empty bench and claimed it for her own, stting with her head down and her arms crossed with her hands holding her elbows so tightly it was a wonder her fingers didn’t dig through her shirt. How could she go through something like this? How could she expect anyone to help her when she didn’t know what was wrong?

When a new voice entered her ears, one she hadn’t heard before, Zofia’s head lifted up like it was spring loaded. For a flash of a second, her eyes were dark, almost sunken and black, but when she saw a strange guy standing in front of her, her gaze was normal, if distant, as were her eyes, though it was clear that while she hadn’t been crying she was only moments away from doing so. “I’m...fine. Please...go away.” There was a certain desperation to her request that made it ripe for ignoring.

Of course, even if there wasn’t the tone in her voice, Chris most likely would have ignored the request anyway. After all, she looked sad, and that meant he had to try and cheer her up. As Søren’s dad often said, ‘that’s what heroes do.’ Instead of leaving, Chris did the exact opposite, and took a seat next to her. “I don’t think I can do that. I’m at hero school, and heroes wouldn’t just leave people that looked upset alone.” Luckily for both of them, Chris had interacted with a few women in his life (even if he hadn’t had a mom), to know that the most important thing to do when it seemed like there was something wrong with a girl was quite simple: don’t ask what was wrong.

It was a lesson that not many men had learned, but Chris, Prince of Spartax, had picked it up early on.

Instead, Chris would maneuver around the situation, and focus on other things. “My name is Chris, what’s yours?” He’d start with the basics, and see if he could fix her up a bit. Unfortunately, based on how she looked and seemed to be feeling… he wasn’t going to be getting laid anytime soon.

Was she not clear in her words or did people at this school have a hard time taking people at their word? The phone girl seemed to care only about the beat of her own drum and now this person didn’t seem willing to listen; or at the very least seemed not to care. Zofia wasn’t sure which was worse, the kind of person who ignored requests or the ones who didn’t pay attention. Both were cut from the same cloth. Zofia shook her head, closed her eyes, opened them, and sighed all in a slow span of time. Everything she did seemed to be deliberate, like her guard was constantly up like a phalanx.

“Please...just…” Zofia couldn’t be mean, he had done nothing wrong. It wasn’t a crime to talk to someone. Well, not in this capacity. “...Trust me...you’ll want to leave me alone.” Unlike the girls this guy was probably familiar with, Zofia wasn’t telling him to leave her alone with a disgusted, upturned nose kind of flair, but with the inflections of someone who was clearly nervous, afraid, and fidgety. “It’s...for your own good…”

“I don’t really do things for my own good, more for the ‘good of everyone.’ It’s kind of the way I am, ya know. Real hero. No big deal.” Chris had a way of talking and twisting words to make things make himself look better — it was annoying, or endearing, depending on who you asked. With this girl, though he wasn’t sure what was wrong. She seemed scared of something, but they were basically on one of the safest places on the planet… “Which class are you in? Do you know?” There, he’d go with something like that and hopefully she’d cheer up a bit with some gentle pushing to something happier.

Zofia was getting the sense that this guy was one of those people who couldn’t take a hint, and in the interest of not making herself out to be an incredibly rude, crazy person on the first day, her options were limited. She could get up and leave but there was no guarantee he wouldn’t just follow her - even knowing how creepy that might come across. Telling him to leave her alone just made him double down so what choice did she have? Zofia had to make him think she wasn’t worth talking to, she had to be the least engaging conversation haver he’d ever met; it was the only way she saw where this could end amicably. Just because she was afraid and confused didn’t mean she was rude or mean.

“No..I...no.” Zofia responded with a shake of her head. She could’ve elaborated and said how she didn’t go to the assembly but that would be giving Chris enough rope to hang her with. “I don’t know.”

“Did you not get a lil keycard?” Chris asked, showing off his own, that declared him a member of class 1-A, working with Kitty Pryde. Maybe she’d forgotten hers, or they’d just forgotten to give her one… he supposed that was possible. If that was the case, then she could probably just tag along with him, and get a card from his teacher. “I bet we can get you one from my class. Come on…”

“You know, you still haven’t told me your name.” This was a harder nut to crack than he’d thought it would be. Maybe he had to try a different method. He’d thought this would work, but it didn’t seem like it was making any progress. She looked… the same amount of upset. “I can be like your battle buddy. Everyone needs a battle buddy.”

“No.” Her response was curt and punctuated with a shake of the head; she had never seen the keycard before which led her to believe they were given out at the assembly...or possibly at check-in which she had conviently avoided as well. For the time being she might as well have not existed in the records of the school, though it would only be temporary of course. If there was a word to describe Chris it would be persistent though Zofia wasn’t yet sure if he would consider that a compliment - she wouldn’t say it was one but she wouldn’t say it wasn’t. Why was he so focused on talking to someone he didn’t know? That was...unusual.

“Battle...buddy?” It was better than nothing, at least she was responding in a manner that would continue the conversation, whether unknowingly or otherwise. “I don’t...what? Battle buddy?”

“You know, the person you work in combat with, and like your friend, and someone you have cool combo moves with. You’ve seen the YouTube videos of the Avengers busting out combat moves, right? Iron Man and Captain America. Classic Battle Buddies. It’s a whole thing.” Everyone had seen those YouTube videos, even Søren and Charlotte — of course, it was just because Chris had made them, but it still counted. Chris took this whole ‘hero’ thing a lot more seriously than the siblings, but he wasn’t going to let them drag him down.

“We should go get your tag. It’ll help, and then I can walk you to your dorm or something.” He was doing his best to keep things moving forward, and at the very least, distract her from whatever it was that was bothering her.

“Videos….? No…” Zofia wasn’t some weird person who had never heard of videos or the internet or the Avengers but she hadn’t exactly sat down to watch footage of them on any sort of normal basis. When your mother worked with the X-Men on a regular basis it was easier just to listen to her experiences...or pretend to. Still, she got the general idea though it seemed a bit unnecessary given that the only danger there was out here was...gravity or a strong wind and it wasn’t like ‘combo moves’ would be needed to walk to class. “Why..?” There were many questions that could follow. ‘Why are you trying so hard?’ ‘Why are you so interested in helping me?’ ‘Why can’t I just figure this out?’ ‘Why am I so against people helping me?’ But none of them were what she asked.

“Why...do you want me?” What she had meant to ask, or rather what she assumed was clear, was ‘why do you want me to go with you?’ but she seemed oblivious to what she actually asked; surely it made sense anyway. Who could take it the wrong way?

“There are at least like, seven reasons, and I’m sure you’ll find them all out in due time. You coming or what?” He asked, standing up from the bench and gesturing for her to follow after him. “I’m in 1-A. Maybe we’ll get lucky and you’ll be in the same one, huh?” Chris was doing a monumental job of ignoring all of her complaints and acting like everything was perfectly fine, despite her apparent outlook on life. “What’s your number? I’ll text you the videos.” Smooth as fucking butter.

“I...don’t know...I wasn’t at orientation…” If Chris thought it would be that easy to get her number, Zofia made sure to remind him otherwise; of course she assumed he was talking about her class or dorm number. The question was if she was doing it knowingly or not; if nothing else, though, she was speaking in longer responses and she was sounding less...guarded. Still guarded, but more like the kind of guarded where the door was slightly ajar. “You...might regret it if I go with you…”

Damn. Not smooth enough, apparently. Søren had it so easy with buffs such as ‘Asgardian prince.’ Nobody even knew what Spartax was… Oh well, she hadn’t said no, and that was honestly better than it went sometimes. Maybe if he just hit the gym a bit more… Whatever, that wasn’t important right now. What was important was continuing to hype this girl up and drag her out of the slump she was in. “Nah, I doubt that very strongly. Come on now, let’s go. The dorm isn’t too far from here.”

“I...warned you…” Normally that would have been taken as some kind of threat, but Zofia stood up, albeit with a heavy sigh. She would have to get off the bench eventually, and this guy seemed harmless enough which was not what anyone would want in a ‘battle buddy’ but she kept that to herself. Zofia didn’t exactly agree to being battle buddies with anyone anyway. If she couldn’t be escorted to the dorms at the very least then what hope did she have of understanding things? Fear was normal, but it didn’t have to be crippling. She read that in a fortune cookie once.

“Zofia...Zofia Maximoff…” He might not have gotten her number, but he got her name. It had to count for something.

“Well, Zofia, it’s wonderful to meet you. That’s a very exotic name. “ He wasn’t totally up-to-date, so if her family name meant someone in the scene, he didn’t know it off the top of his head. And just like that, he’d made his first friend and she was cute. If they were in the same class? Then Søren and Charlotte were gonna have to get over themselves, he wasn’t gonna let another one get away for those fuckers. Savages, the both of them.

“C’mon, the dorms this way.” And like that, the pair were off to the 1-A Common room, where they would soon arrive.

Søren didn’t know what Charlotte thought she was doing, when she called dibs clearly after he had called dibs. She was too busy trying to take a jab at him for saying he could beat a hulk in a fight — which he could, easily — to call dibs in a timely manner. That wasn’t on him, that was on herself. Scoffing, Søren turned to look at her and shake his head, “Actually, sister, I think you’ll find that you were a little slower.” Søren said, waving his finger at her, before taking the same hand and running it through his hair. “Once again, your older brother has emerged victorious. I believe that makes it… what, Søren 75, Charlotte 21?” He was, of course, mostly making those numbers up.

Søren then turned his attention to the other two people in the room, particularly the one with the cute short hair. “The outcome is fortunate for those of us affected.” Søren said with a winning, charming smile, and he was prepared to take his prize, but not before looking back at Charlotte with the smile losing its charm and morphing instead into a shit eating smirk that was his way of reminding her that he was, in fact, the winner.

Before Søren could close the gap, though, and meet the hot girl, something unexpected happened. Someone appeared from thin air, directly above him. Acting with the quick reactions, Søren threw his arms out and caught the person who was falling. Looking down at the attractive, somewhat scantily clad, somewhat exotic looking woman in his arms, Søren was forced to make a decision.

Looking up, Søren glanced between Charlotte and the short haired girl. “Well, this one time I’ll yield. You win.” After that, Søren looked back down at the tattooed woman, and cleared his throat.

“Dibs.”

Phillip Ward soared through the air, high vibrations emitting from his hands and his body as he suspended himself into the air, giving him complete control of his movements and how fast he went upward. While most probably saw the opportunity to arrive with their parents or from some kind of transportation, his approach wasn’t just preferable for him, but it allowed him to really get a feel for the climate. The air was getting thinner, though that wasn’t anything he hadn’t been taught.

Training simulations were a regular occurrence at the Lighthouse. With the advanced technology given to them by both Stark Industries and Leopold’s very own creation, Phillip was able to get the most out of training with his mother as he could. Most of the training sessions they had were grounded, but every so often, she rewarded him for doing so well by letting him test out his flying capabilities. Sometimes, though obviously not during every session, she would join him and prove to him time and time again just how ahead her abilities were when compared to his. Still, he impressed her with how far he came before leaving the lighthouse.

Which was to say, just five hours ago, his dearest mother bid her goodbyes to him as he had flown his way up from the Lighthouse to Mobius Academy. It took him a while and had to rely on a jetpack he borrowed just in case he needed it.

As he pushed through some obvious straining in his body, Phil saw the monstrosity that was Mobius Academy. The thing was a literal floating city. Even when his folks decided he would attend this academy, he thought it was all talk about it being a gargantuan helicarrier. That maybe those who were hyping up -- like Tony Stark, for one -- had just said all of that as part of the sale’s pitch, but after a few minutes of pressing through pain, all became clear.

“Holy shit, they weren’t kidding--” Phil was interrupted and felt a wave of some strange energy pass by him, zipping through the air a lot faster than he ever could.

He glanced ahead, narrowing his eyes and only saw blonde hair and some kind of rainbow aura. It was strange, but he had to focus on himself right now. There was no way he could keep up his speed if he lost focus.

Phil emitted vibrations -- or at least he tried to. He felt them but they weren’t pushing him anywhere. Instead, he was free-falling and fast. The high speed around him made it difficult for the young man to press the center button on his chest that activated the jetpack’s burst speed. He almost had it at one point, but the air around him caused him to whip around.

“Just need to…”

He was five hundred yards from the ground. If he didn’t get his hand on the button, he faced certain doom.

“Four hundred yards..”

And presto!

His hand slammed on the red button and immediately a large pulse of air shot from the bottom of the pack and sent Phil flying at Mach 3 speeds. As wind aggressively passed through his face and sent the teen flying through the air at such a high velocity that before he even realized it, Phillip had not only made it to Mobius but he flew right past it.

“No, I need to go the other way!”

He tried to jerk the controls to steer him towards the floating city, but something in the mechanics weren’t responding to his physical actions, so he had to fly solo.

As he ejected himself from the jetpack and was back-first to the city. He saw the jetpack’s autopilot mode activated, which he was kicking himself over not using. It seemed to be flying in the direction of the Lighthouse. Phil knew he was gonna hear it from Uncle Fitz and his mother whenever they visited. But that wasn’t what he needed to concern himself with. He was currently free-falling to the city.

Phillip turned himself around. As he did, he tried to see if the vibrations were listening to him and they were. “Awesome!” He smiled and emitted vibrations from around him and centered them in his feet and arms.

As he extended all of his limbs, his body was now like a human parachute that would allow him to control the speed of his descension. Several feet at a time and he was inching closer to a grass area, which he only assumed was the fields. He carefully increased, then decreased, the vibrations so he could land somewhat gracefully, but then he saw a familiar sight.

“Oh, it’s the rainbow girl again,” he noted, cocking a smirk. “Change of plans!”

He switched trajectories. Phillip now had his arms and legs close to him and was flying over the girl... Well, not over her per se but higher than she was but he was behind her. He saw she noticed him and she smiled. Soon the two began a game of cat and mouse, which had them circling around the field as both were having the time of their lives.

And then came a realization of disbelief on both of their faces. Their powers cut off at the same time and while five feet above the ground. They clashed like a moving train would with an immovable force. Their heads were the first to clash and their bodies met and soon they were on the ground with the petite blonde on top of him. Both were in pain and both had no idea what just happened, but they both exploded into laughter.

“Damn girl! You’re fast!” Phil grinned, holding his head. He was starting to feel the effects of his recklessness.

“Says the dude taking control of the vibrations. You have a handle on your powers, don’t you?” The blonde asked him, smiling kindly at him.

Phillip offered her a shrug, bobbing his head to the side to see if anything was broken. When he deduced it was all fine (minus the killer headache), he nodded to himself. The blonde got off of him and she did the same thing he did.

“Yeah, I guess I do.” He watched her closely. “I’m Phil, by the way. Phillip Ward!” He extended his hand out.

He waited for her to reach out, but to his surprise, he soon found out that the little blonde girl was more of a hugger than a hand-shaker. The way she grabbed onto him tightly, arms wrapped around his neck, her legs dangling in the air as their bodies met for the second time in a single day, Phillip had to admit he was surprised. He never met anyone who greeted another in such a friendly, if not somewhat unusual, manner.

She released him and smiled back at his confused face. “I’m Janet Lucasta, but my friends call me Lulu!”

Lucasta, huh? That was a name that Phillip had heard a lot of. The famous Lucasta Family was rather infamous, especially to those of Shield. Their dealings with Hydra, regardless of how great the cover-up, they were no match for his family. Still, Phillip wasn’t expecting this girl to be one of them. She didn’t look it and certainly didn’t seem like she had any evil thoughts. The worst thing he could say about her was how personal space seemed like a foreign concept to her.

“Nice name, Lulu! Why were you flying so fast, though?” He asked the girl.

She suddenly turned a 180 and appeared bashful, her cheeks flaring up to a slight red. “I don’t know,” she shrugged, “I guess I just wanted to see how fast I could go.” She shrugged again.

Phil raised an eyebrow at her, growing more curious and intrigued by her the more time he spent talking to her. “Well, I guess some things are better left to the sky, huh?”

As she nodded, the two got up and decided to walk the rest of the way, which was nice because it gave Phil and Lulu the chance to take in the sights. From the greenland of the fields and to the inner-cities, it was truly a marvel and that was saying something given where he grew up at.

The stroll was nice, but as they made it to the place of entry where they were supposed to be, despite being a little late -- well, late wasn’t exactly the right word for it. Phil knew they were so late that someone’s baby probably was given some defects by now. Regardless, at least they left the names of where they were supposed to go and who they had for roommates.

“It seems as though this is where we depart, Lu.” Phil was known for stating the obvious.

She giggled, “I suppose it is, huh?” She looked at the board briefly and saw there was someone’s name beside her’s. “Morgan Lebeau?” She asked herself, scratching her head.

“Seems like you better ask Morie that yourself,” he suggested, nudging her in the shoulder.

“And you have someone mysterious too. Anton Rasputin.”

Phil mirrored her and scratched his head. “Must be a Russian guy. I’ll try not and blame his country for hacking our elections!” Bad joke aside, this was where they parted ways.

Mention Anton and Alex @Sly13 @pandapolio

After he retrieved his keycard, Phillip spent the better part of the hour trying and find the B dorm building, whatever the hell that meant. With the campus being as spacious and a bit larger than he thought it needed to be, finding exactly where it was proved to be quite difficult. So he would cheat just a little. Phil concentrated the vibrations into his feet to add a spring to his step and he kept doing this as he scaled the buildings, which brought him just the right amount of great fortune and perfect timing. He saw the dorm buildings and he had to assume they were in alphabetical order, which means the one he needed to be at was the second from the left.

And like the makeshift rabbit he had become, Phillip lept as his life depended on it, easily cutting the time it would have taken to get to the dorm building by nearly all of it. As he landed, he did so near the entrance and he walked right on in like the badass he saw himself as in his head.

He waltzed in, waving to those in the common room and looked for some kind of guide to where the rooms were. “Aha! That’s where I need to be." Phil waved to all who he passed by. Some probably thought he looked like an idiot and maybe he did, but he was a cool idiot, damn it!

A few minutes were spent strolling through the common room. As soon as he stepped foot inside, confusion set in. He couldn’t tell which one was the dude with the Russian name. He closely looked at both men, trying to remember exactly what most Russians look like. Sadly, he hadn’t spent that much time studying them. Phillip never really learned anything about Russia aside from how they made some grade-A vodka that his father was a fan of.

“So, which one of you is Anton Rasputin?” He asked both well-built young men. Compared to them, he was a fucking stick.

@Silver Carrot@Th3King0fChaos@Dirty Pretty Lies

"Oh, nah, I'm fine. I've already drank plenty today, so right now I'm content to just sit back and rela-"

And then Michael remembered that he'd left his room with an actual goal in mind this time, instead of his usual aimless wandering.

"Oh wait, crap!" He shouted, rolling off his sword and onto the ground, before promptly standing back up and starting to run. "I got distracted again, I was meant to-, crap!"

He looked back to Joziah and Gene.

"Sorry guys, I've gotta go. I was trying to find my roomie, but forgot 'cause I'm... uh, kinda dumb, I guess... Anyway, I'll see you guys later, and... probably remember your names. So yeah, see ya!"

And then he was off, running through the rest of the rooms until he was outside, where he felt safe enough to summon another weapon to fly on at the speed he wanted to but also not crash into any walls. This time, he decided to go with a spear. He hopped on in a way similar to a witch on a broomstick, and after a few moments to gain his balance, he started rising into the air. Before too long, he was high enough to look around the school and get a solid mental map.

"Alright, if I was my mysteriously slow roommate, where would I be?"

Maybe they're just exploring. Might be a plan to start back at the auditorium and then circle out from there.

"Well look who finally decided to pipe up!" He said loudly. "What kept you? I've asked for advice
a good few times recently and gotten nothing!"

I'm a figment of your imagination, not your mother. You don't need me to decide what ridiculously unsuitable breakfast food you want to eat for dinner.

"Pretty sure you're essentially the voice of my brain, so yeah, I kind of do."

He paused for a moment, before nodding.

"But yeah, the circling out thing is actually a pretty good idea, so let's go with that. Just don't abandon me again. I made you to pretend I have friends, but that doesn't mean you get to leave if I actually make some, got it?"

Yeah, sure, whatever. Just hurry up and start searching before you get too antsy. I don't want us to fall off the sword because you were shaking too hard from excitement.

"Right! Let's go!" Michael shouted, before quickly dipping into a nosedive, quickly flying down towards the auditorium. He hopped off just to make a brief check inside, but as he'd kind of expected, it was empty. It had been a good while by this point, so he guessed he shouldn't really be surprised.

After that, he got back on his spear, this time sitting sidesaddle to be a little kinder on little mikey. Honestly he preferred his sword, but his legs were tired, and sitting on the sword just... just looked kind of dumb. After just a few minutes of flying around, he arrived at the lobby. He was actually fairly surprised when he saw that there actually was another student in there. She was holding a phone up to her ear, and from the sounds of things, she was not pleased. He decided to listen in a little longer. From the sounds of it, it was something about... a boy roommate.

Ah.

So, what's the plan, cap'n?

"Dunno." Michael responded, before realising that he was talking out loud and switched to replying mentally, just so nobody else would see him being too weird. Well, at least not at first.

I guess I should probably start with an introduction. Worked well enough with Jojo and... Genesis?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was his name. They didn't start out actively hating you though.

True, true, but hey, what's the worst that could happen?

And so, ignoring the protests from the deeper parts of his brain, he walked over to the girl with a friendly grin on his face. It almost faded away when he realised how much taller than him she was, but through pure, shonen-esque force of will, he managed to push the jealousy back down and stay smiley.

"Uh, hi! Would you perhaps happen to be Amalia Stark?" He asked, holding out his hand to shake. He was pretty sure she was, because his gut said so, and his gut was usually pretty dependable. "My name is Michael Wilson. Nice to meetcha!"

So her first meeting with a fellow student didn't go exactly according to plan, but when did anything ever go according to plan? Plans changed all the time! Once, her parents planned on taking her to an amusement park but then she put herself in a coma and also the amusement park was damaged heavily in some kind of fight between The Avengers and something evil and bad. Plans changed! For Riley, the new plan was simply to find someone - or something - else to focus on before her viewers got bored and left to go watch something else. Still, whatever that weird moody girl's problem was, Riley hoped she figured it out. How could anyone be sad or moody at a place like this? There were in the sky! At a school! In the sky!

Riley wasn't sure how long she could get away with live streaming her misadventures at hero school, but she figured if she was violating some kind of sacred rule that S.H.I.E.L.D. or something would do whatever they did and shut down her stream, though Riley figured if a government organization cared what some teenager did on the internet then it was an incredibly slow day. It wasn't like she was on the dark web or downloading a car or something. Harmless! What was the harm in showing people what the next generation of heroes would look like? Kamala Khan was once like Riley, a fangirl of the Avengers and such and now she was a top ten hero! Why, then, couldn't Riley follow in those embiggened footsteps?

One day, the top ten heroes would have all been featured first on HulkStan62's stream. How cool was that?

As Riley continued to wander around like a deer in headlights, balancing her act between looking at her stream chat and moving the phone camera in a circle as she spun-walk around the place, she hadn't planned on almost running into someone until, well, she did. The girl in question was taller than RIley and looked more mature by half, but Riley was focusing on two very specific things. The first, this girl called Riley pretty; the second, a question about 1-D. Somehow Riley didn't think she meant that one band that was hot for about a year.

"Oh! Hello, didn't see you there. Are you okay with being recorded? I'm kinda live right now to....wow, I'm almost at ten thousand. I'VE NEVER BEEN THAT HIGH BEFORE! Those are like...famous numbers! Anyway, my name's HulkStan62...err...it's Riley. I don't know what a 1-D is, but it sounds like a place I should check out. Also, my chat is asking me to ask you if they can see your....tats? Oh, wait, no, that's an I not an A. Ignore that."

Riley had a feeling this one would go better. It had to!

Slower? Slower? Said the brother who needed an accessory to fly. The room clearly heard that she was first, though Soren never missed an opportunity to try and jab an elbow into her side. It was only fitting given that she would do the same if the opportunity presented itself. It was part of their charm. Charm that Charlotte had hoped to display to at least one of the two girls that had been in the room her brother and she entered. What could she say? Charlotte was a creature of confidence and she took charge. She might not have known the others, but calling dibs was as much an admission of curiosity as it was a declaration of intent to wow an to woo. "Please, you only called dibs because I said it first. At least I remember their names. Speaking of-." Smooth. In her estimation anyway.

"I'm-" Before Charlotte could properly introduce herself, there was a sudden noise and an unexpected arrival in the form of a girl literally falling into Soren's arms like the gods were simultaneously rewarding him and aiding her. "You see, this is what I mean. You call 'dibs' but the second someone else so much as...falls into your lap you change your mind. It's a wonder anyone gives you the time of day."

Charlotte was sure Soren wasn't even paying attention, which was why she took the time to sigh, shake her head, and return to the more immediate matter of introductions. "Anyway, the idiot who thinks only with his smaller head is my brother, Soren. I'm Charlotte, and I apologize for calling dibs, though unlike my brother I obviously meant it." Never miss a chance to jab the elbow into the side.

"Are either of you a...HulkStan62?"

Interacting with Riley@Fabricant451

”Nice to meet you, Riley. They call me Jess”

Bombarded with several questions at once, Jessica grinned at the overflowing enthusiasm that was leaking from the smaller girl. The rock chick moved her face closer to Riley’s phone and bit her plump bottom lip seductively. ”If you nerds want to see what I got, you’re gonna have take this girl from thousands to hundreds of thousands. Make it happen and I’ll make it happen, can you dig it my loves?” She winked to the many subscribers before returning to her full height. She offered her silk gloved hand forward for a handshake but pulled it back sharply when her quantum field began to displace. ”Sorry. I don’t have a full handle on this thing yet”

Jess was not any kind of scientist, inventor and really she wasn’t even that clever. After undergoing terrigenesis and becoming an inhuman, she knew that she would have to brush up on her smarts if she ever truly wanted to understand what happened to her in that cave deep in the rockies. The bare minimum she understands and even then that’s a stretch, is that her body no longer exists fully on the normal plain of existence. Apparently her cells a constantly displacing between our world and the quantum realm, leaving her literally torn between two worlds. If that wasn’t the premise for a rock song, it should be. It was only thanks to a connection her father made Berkeley University that Jess had any insight at all into what her powers actually were.

”You’d think a place this big would have a map or something. What do you say, Hulkstan, wanna go on an adventure with me and find where we’re actually supposed to be?”

The holy grail had been found….a tuna sandwich!!!

Theo sat on the walls edge, stuffing his face as he watched the Goblin Childe jam to the guitar solo playing in his ears. The quiet he was feeling inside would only last for a short time, he knew this but it was a small slice of serenity and he was going to make the most of it while the little bastard was quiet and enjoying himself elsewhere.

Mobius was an amazing sight to behold; especially now as the student body has begun to leave the confines of the assembly and their dorms respectively. The school grounds were starting to fill up with beings made of pure light, , mutants, inhumans, cockroach men and he was pretty sure he bore witness to a talking dinosaur in a lucha mask at one point. This was going to be a long strange trip but he was down for it, so was the Childe to an extent. This whole trek was about Theo learning to accept the Childe, to harness him and use him to become the most heroic Green Goblin that ever existed…or he could say fuck it and use what he learns to become a pro wrestler, either way it was a win.

As the song switched over The Big Tuna jumped down from his high wall perch, sandwich hanging from his mouth. The fall from the height of said wall would normally break a persons legs, Theo landed with all the grace of a pig in shit but he didn’t feel an ounce of pain, joy to the Goblin serum. He had some exploring but the need to be around others was causing an itch and you just gotta scratch an itch when it happens. Theo decided to head back towards 1A, he had little doubt that Ziggy would probably still be there and by this point others in their dorm must surely had arrived.

Stopping by a vending machine on the way, Theo grabbed some flaming hot Cheetos and a Hershey’s bar, boy had to eat. Sauntering up towards the 1A building, he entered with his collection of snacks and made his way to the common room. Ziggy was there with a handful of others and he waved, food in both hands.

Lydia Creel

Lydia watched these two new arrivals as they blustered their way in like a comedy act. The first impression Lydia got of them, besides both being very attractive (this was superhero school. Most everyone was attractive) was that they both seemed kind of childish, calling dibs and stuff. Lydia's foster family had outgrown this kind of behavior in their early teens. It was clear these were siblings, and from the way the boy talked, it was obvious they were Asgardians.

Soren seemed to be particularly interested in Binx, before somebody who looked a little like Nightcrawler, and could well have been, popped into the room and dropped a girl into the guy's arms, before popping back out again. The guy immediately and clearly started hitting on her in the least smooth way Lydia had ever heard. The sister then introduced them both to Binx and Lydia, and asked if either of them were HulkStan62.

"I'm Lydia Creel. And if you're Charlotte Danvers-Thordottir, I'm your roommate," Lydia introduced, letting Binx handle her own introductions. "I'm not HulkStan62 but I've heard of them. I actually follow her series. Why, are they here at Mobius?"

Gene Green

After Michael left, Gene took out his keycard, got up and went to his room. He finally decided to check it out, and it was niiiice! He was expecting some kind of student accommodation, and it was still a dorm, but it was a five star dorm! He found his bags next to his bed and began to unpack. He took care to make sure that he only used half the drawers, half the wardrobe space, etc. After he was finished he laid down on his bed (the top bunk) and just lay there, jetlagged from the trip and glad to get some downtime.

Some might call where Janet was lost, but that word didn't exist in her vocabulary. She wasn't ever lost because her journey was never about the linear path. She took winding roads, shortcuts, and even some detours that extended her stay in a certain place, but she was never lost. To her, the best part of being a wanderer like she was being able to coexist with the world in every sense of the word. In the little time people were alive in this world, there was too much to see if one spent it worrying about petty, trivial things such as if one has lost their way or not.

As the wallflower blonde traversed through familiar fields, the same scent from before filling her lungs, she hummed to herself until she didn't. Her humming brought a smile to her face as she looked around, blue-green eyes widely observing the lay of the land. "This isn't the right place," she mused aloud as she turned around and went back the way she came. Janet would spend another hour aimlessly wandering around.

Through the city, Janet's aimless wandering landed her deep in the heart of Mobius' skyscrapers. It wasn't exactly the place she needed to be, but Janet was in awe of the size of the architecture. Something about the way the buildings stood and how high they rose to the sky drew her in. At some point during the process of looking way up, Janet herself started to ascend from the ground, her body engulfed in bright, multi-colored light and she flew high. The wind rushed past her and she landed on one skyscraper, which was the tallest of them.

Her eyes filled with amazement. How amazing something that something so isolated from the world could linger in the sky, hover above the clouds, and be hidden from the world, yet it felt like it was as all meant it to be.

The wind was high at the altitude she was at. Though the air was tight, it was the most natural she felt. Being so high up gave her the best feeling in the world. After she would take the next couple of moments savoring the feeling of being at one with the moment, she leaped over the edge of the building, fixating on what she had known to be the dorm buildings and propelled herself through the air at her top speed.

With such speed behind her, one might think she could lose her control but the exact opposite happened. She was able to freely control not only the speed at which she could breeze through the air but her movements too. She spun around, widely grinning as the Dorm Buildings came into view. She had cut the flight as dipped her body down and then propelled herself again, this time descending at the same speed. When she was about a few dozen yards from the ground, she attempted to slow down the speed, but something went wrong.

"Uh oh."

The feeling of dread was soon present in her face as her body rocked side to side as she descended at a quarter of the speed she had gained. It wasn't going to be death but when she hit the ground, her body flailed about and she tumbled into the 1A building, crashing into a table.

"Ouchie!" She whined, rubbing her head.

Everything hurt. From her arms that felt like they were bruised -- or were gonna be bruised -- to her legs feeling like jelly. As she slowly had gotten up from the crashed table, splinters of wood, which thankfully weren't stuck to her body due to the special fabric her father made her clothes from, but it didn't mean the pain was avoidable, especially when she did things like that. When she finally got to her feet and looked around, there was no doubt in her mind that the entrance she just made, whether it was her intention or not (it wasn't), all eyes were on her now.

And she froze up.

It wasn't like she intended to do that. Janet was known for being able to carry a conversation through any means but when she didn't have time to adjust to surroundings and naturally weave herself into a group, she had difficulties functioning. So while everyone who was staring did that, she rebooted herself, took in a deep breath, and ignored the waves of pain passing through her body. She put on that usual Janet Lucasta smile and waved to everyone.

"Hi Hi! I'm Janet Lucasta!" Her voice was her usual cheery, borderline-high-pitched self.

Anton, Alexander, Phillip

Anton looked up from his seat to see another student had entered their dorm area. The boy stared at Alexander and himself before asking for an Anton Rasputin. Rising from his seat Anton slowly made his way over to the boy who had just entered. Once Anton was in front of the boy the difference in height was easy to tell with Anton towering over the boy in a very menacing fashion. All that was quickly dropped however as Anton smiled wide extending his hand out. “Greetings Comrade, I am Anton. What is your name?”

Phillip was somewhat silently cursing himself. Of the two giants, the one who towered over the other would end up being Anton. He wasn’t a mathematician or even that great at math in general, but he had gut instincts and right now, Phillip’s gut was telling him this guy was at least a foot taller. How could someone his age be so flippin tall!?

Being a few feet away was one thing, but Phil hadn’t prepared himself for right up close and personal with one of the behemoths. He was already anticipating persisting neck problems because of how much he would have to look up just to meet Anton at eye level.

Swallowing the twisting feeling in his gut and throat, Phil shook the man’s hand, surprising himself when his grip wasn’t as weak as he felt right now. “Nice to meet ya. I’m Phillip.” Again, he surprised himself by not stuttering. “You’re quite the big guy, aren’t ya?” Humor was his way of dealing with uncomfortable situations.

Anton stared for a brief moment before he let a small laugh. “We tend to grow big in mother Russia.” lowering his hand to the side Anton continued to speak. “Nice to meet you, Philip.” Anton was trying his best to be polite and nice to the new student as to not scare him. Anton had learned that his height had a way of intimidating people much smaller than him. “Come join us at the table. We are all friends here.” Anton motioned towards the table that he and Alexander were sitting at.

Alex nodded towards the newcomer and grinned, ”Nice to meet you, my names Alex. We were just wondering who our roommates were. Looks like Anton found his.” Alex was glad to meet another member of their class even if they weren’t his roommate. Alex noticed the staggering height difference between Anton and Phillip and almost laughed out loud. With those two stayings together he should be able to laugh at this quite a bit. “If you don’t mind me asking, what are your abilities?”

Phillip took a seat at the table and glanced at both. Even sitting down they hovered well over his head, which was fine. This was the perfect chance for him to make one hell of an impression. “Oh, well, uh.” He stumbled for words, trying to figure a way to word it. “I can manipulate vibrations in the ground, air, and even my own. Let me show you.”

Phillip placed his hand on the top of the table and began to vibrate it as minimally as he could. In a response, the table shook and moved a few inches to the left. “I can do other things too. Like, I actually flew here using my power, though I did veer off course cause of that Rainbow girl,” he mused aloud, snickering to himself. “Anyway, yeah that’s what I can do. Pretty dope, huh?”

Anton started surprised at the table as he watched it shake. “Impressive power.” Anton’s eyes arched a bit at the mention of Phil flying. “That’s amazing, I bet flying like bird is fun.”

“My powers are a little less interesting than yours.” Lifting his arm once more showing the back of it to Phil he seemed to flex slightly as metal began forming along the arm. Staring at his shoulder there was an odd sound of sliding as the metal made its way down until it covered his whole arm. “I can cover my body in a metal skin making me almost indestructible and even stronger.” Pausing for a second Anton looked at his arm concentrating for a second making his hand flat. After a moment the hand-molded into more of a point turning the arm into a spear. “I can also shift the metal to suit my needs.”

“Shieeeet bro!” Phillip exclaimed in awe, eyes widened as he decided to get a closer look at the spear. He stood up on his seat to get a better look and was glued to it. “And you’re, like, pretty freaking tall as it is. What else can you do with it?” Phillip asked, keen on the answer.

Anton smiled at the boy's enthusiasm, it was rare that someone was interested in his powers and this slightly threw him off. “Well I can shape it to a variety of weapons.” After starring this the spear shifted again into a large hammer object. After another moment in the hammer form, he let his arm return to normal. “If you think I’m tall now.” After saying this Anton stood from his chair taking a step back from the table.

Letting his body relax for a moment Anton shut his eyes taking in a breath. Opening his eyes Anton tensed his whole body allowing the metal skin to cover his entire body from head to toe. As a bonus, he increased in height by over another foot. “The metal form also makes me taller and heavier along with the increase in strength.”

Watching Anton transform into that metal form was just as amazing as it was frightening for the short male. He was a stick when the Russian teen was just himself, but encased in the metal and growing the extra inches (again Phillip is terribad at math), he could only watch with his mouth open, eyes widened, and nothing but inaudible words escaping his mouth. A lot of words left but none forming complete thoughts.

Phillip pulled himself together. “T-that’s so fucking rad man! Have you tested how much damage you can sustain?” Phillip asked, curious, his entire demeanor going from thoughtless to being full of thoughts like the flip of a switch.

Anton's metal skin slowly moved away as his body shrank back to its normal size. Stretching his head Anton held a thoughtful look. “I’m not sure really. I still feel some pain when I get hit, though it is much less than normal. As for my limits, however, I’m not too sure about when it would give. Currently, the only thing I have found that counters my ability is him.” Anton said as he pointed over to Alexander who was still sitting. “That or large and powerful magnets.” Anton shuddered slightly as he remembered past experiences with the danger room back at the mansion.

Now Phillip was curious and even more so, wanted to test out his own limits too. And with the current train of thought, he was entertaining, though neither of these men knew it because they barely knew him, but when Phillip’s lips curled into the mischievous smirk it had just formed, it always meant something fun, if not just a little dangerous for others, crossed the often-evil mind of his.

“Have you ever thought about testing your powers out? Because,” he paused, smiling at the two, “I think we could have a lot of fun out there in the fields with just us, our wits, and our powers. It sure as hell beats just hanging around looking all bored, doesn’t it?”

Anton stood thinking for a moment about Philippe's offer. He did enjoy training and it seemed like a good way to bond with his future teammates, plus it was better than sitting around and doing nothing. “Sure I love training.” Pausing for a moment he looked to Alexander. “What do you say, Comrade? Care to join us for some sparing?”

Alex was trying not to laugh at Anton's little joke about him while he listened to the training idea. While he liked the idea of training and getting to know his classmates better, he had a small problem. “That sounds like it could be some fun, though there might be a small problem. We would have to find a school facility to train in because I am unable to use my abilities outside.” As Alex said this he lifted up his chin and pointed to the collar around his neck. The black band had a small blinking green light on the right side of it that showed he had yet to set off any alarms. “If we can find somewhere to train I would love to join you guys.”

He was ecstatic that both of them were down for some unsanctioned training, but this wasn’t Phillip’s forte. He was never that great at remembering exactly where what was in any location. He usually remembered places he explored, but having not been given the chance to do that, he couldn’t say where the best place would be to get it done. “Okay so this is fantastic, but do you guys know where they keep the training facilities? I haven’t gotten around to doing some proper exploring.” He nervously laughed, somewhat embarrassed considering the idea was his, to begin with.

Anton thought for a moment about where they could all train with their powers. Outside definitely wasn't an option considering how out of hand things could get id they wanted to push some of their limits. Of course, he did know of some danger room eques type areas that his father had told him about. “I know of a place similar to the danger room back at the mansion we could train.” Anton said motioning for the three to follow him.

“Sounds good, after we meet the other members of our class we should go check it out.” Alex was getting slightly excited thinking about being able to train and use his powers for the first time in a while. Not since before arriving at the mansion had he been able to fully utilize his abilities. “Do you think everyone is here, or are we waiting for a few more classmates.?”
