Current Sorry for the delay everyone. I've been absolutely swamped with work these last weeks. I'm getting my replies up slowly.

Keeping track of things makes it easier to avoid bad experiences! And to not make the same mistake like an idiot... :-/

But their mortality denies them divinity

While the instructions Astra gave definitely helped Myra to feel a bit better, she was still happy to see dry land after so much time on the sea. Being the first time travelling by boat, even after doing what Astra told, Myra couldn't help but still feel a bit strange. That sensation soon became to disappear once she saw dry land.

Even though it was already dark, Myra could still see clearly as she looked at their destination in the distance. From a single glance, Myra could already see that the land was definitely different from Daka, even the vegetation was very different. Having no idea of what she would find in that new land, Myra was definitely excited.

Just as Myra turned towards Astra and Vrexen, she realized that there was something happening. For some reason, Traven who was on the boat said something to Astra and Vrexen that they didn't like. Tensions were rising as Myra approached Astra and Vrexen, looking to Traven and trying to understand what was going on. The very moment she did that though, Traven looked at her with a hostile stare, saying something towards her.

While Myra really didn't know what "fuk yo" meant, for some reason she didn't think it was something nice. Assuming a low, hostile posture, Myra gave a few steps towards Traven, hissing and growling, showing him her teeth and claws. While she wouldn't attack him out of nowhere, should he make any harsh movement or if the fight between Astra, Vrexen and Traven really began, she wouldn't hesitate in putting the man down. After all, it was not as if she knew him or even considered him to be more than 'the person with the stinky horse-fishes'.
Ada

@PaulHaynek@Restalaan@AzureKnight

With Ditzy having rescued the kidnapped man and tossing him to Nagare's back, the group was ready to go. Before the other monster girls could even do anything, Sir Reed, Ditzy and even Ada had already hopped on Nagare's back. In the blink of an eye, Nagare was already airborne, leaving the monster girls unable to do anything but to watch.

While the trip back to the guild was quite short, thanks to Nagare, Ada was still a bit distressed from being so high up in the air, firmly grasping Nagare's back, afraid she would fall. While she did use her claws to get a better footing on the few times where Nagare had to make a turn or something, Ada quickly realized that even though Nagare was transformed, it was still her body and she could get hurt and feel pain, as it became evident by the scratches that were left on Nagare's back thanks to Ada's claws.

When the group finally arrived on the guild, Sir Reed was quick to tell them he would handle the person they rescued, who was still tied and with a bag on his head. Before she followed the rest inside the guild, Ada curiously approached the person they rescued, sniffing him a few times as Sir Reed untied him, before going inside the guild.

Freyr

Freyr did think it was a bit strange how he heard the sound of armored boots, but not only Bartholomew was completely alone, but his boots were made of leather too, still, he didn't think much of that and instead simply nodded towards Bartholomew, greeting him.

"Don't we have guests? I swear I heard the sound of armored boots..." Freyr said, with a rather confused expression, looking around before he raised his hand, offering the bag of money that Yang had given him to Bart.

"A report from the requese I took with Haley. Things didn't go... exactly as planned. The stranger that was wandering around showed itself to be insane and dangerous, carrying some kind of metallic, projectile weapon, a 'gun' as Haley called it." he explained.

"Between his mad ramblings, he mentioned his name was Samuel Cubbage. Unfortunately, he got swept by river when he entered it to wash himself. We tried to save him but we weren't able to. We don't know if he managed to survived the waterfall. We did get something for our troubles, but I wanted to ask you to see if you knew something about this 'Samuel Cubbage'..." Freyr finished, still finding a bit strange on how he thought he had heard the sound of armored boots as he looked around, thinking that he might have missed something that could explain what he heard.

Kalla

Maeve gave a small, polite bow as Allanon introduced Bizdil, the other swordsman who was going to work with them to catch the mysterious thief.

"Pleased to meet you, Bizdil." she said, before turning her attention back towards Allanon, who began explaining them the possible alternatives they had to begin their 'investigation'.

"Ice magic is my specialty, so I don't believe I can be of any help in magically tracking the lost items... After all, if I could do that, I would already have my silk ribbons back and the culprit's body would be frozen, slowly thawing under the desert sun." she said with an angry tone.

After a few moments, Allanon mentioned her family's name, recognizing it was a family from Tundral. Maeve silently heard, interested as Allanon began talking about a healer he used to work with eight years ago named Craiv Hallas, inquiring if she knew about him.

"Craiv... Hallas... The heir of the Hallas family... I've heard they were once a great family but they've been in a steady decline." Maeve said, touching her lips with a thoughtful expression.

"I don't know much about Craiv or his family other than the rumors that are sometimes said by the high nobility. Although the nobility mostly speaks of the Hallas family with pity, as an once great family and nothing more, they say that the family was able to stabilize it's situation thanks to him back when it was on it's lowest and now it's even showing signs of steady recovery." Maeve said

"It's not like I had that much time to deal with lesser families between being the 'face' of the family by going to balls and events from the high society, trying to defend myself from being offered as a prize in a political marriage, thanks to those greedy old mummies that are the current elders of the family and trying to save the family from falling into the hands of my incompetent older brother, despite being simply better than him in every aspect..." Maeve said the last part with disgust in her voice.

Just as she was talking about that though, particularly when she was remembering the times she duelled with suitors the elders kept throwing at her, she remembered of a particularly annoying one, that kept boasting about having met a particular duelist that was among the top ten in the world.

"Wait a moment... You said your name was Allanon Valentis?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"It seems I've found myself a worthy sparring partner." Maeve said with a mischievous smirk, provoking him.

Just as she said that though, Bizdil alerted them to the commotion going on in the market stalls, just outside of the inn.

"Judging by the shouts... I don't think it's just them reopening... That would be a good place to start playing detectives." Maeve said as she finished eating, getting up and walking towards Bizdil, who was already near the door.

When Bizdil decided to open the door, a loud thump of something hitting the door could be heard, together with the sound of someone falling to the ground. Bizdil quickly apologized as he extended his hand towards the young girl. Much to Maeve's surprise, the moment she approached Bizdil and the girl to see what had happened, she immediately noticed that the girl had a much paler skin than people would normally have at Kalla. A single glance at her hands was enough for Maeve to say she was definitely an Isoli.
Surprisingly enough, the very moment the girl saw Allanon, she immediately called for him, making it clear that they knew each other.

"You should be more careful Bizdil." Maeve said as she approached them.

"To meet another Isoli on Kalla of all places. Such a coincidence." Maeve said, with a curious expression as she looked at the girl.

"Maeve Orzhov." she said, with a polite, much more formal bow as she analyzed the girl's posture, the words she would use to greet her. While for most people, greeting someone and introducing themselves was a simple thing, for the Isoli nobles, even such small acts were a complex social dance and could say more about one's standing and even their own personality than people thought.
Ada

@PaulHaynek@Restalaan@AzureKnight

As Ditzy, Sir Reed and Ada rushed to help Nagare, chaos once again ensued. Ditzy was the first, rushing towards the minotaur, knocking down the orcs that were on his way before putting the minotaur on a body lock while Sir Reed fought against the two salamanders. With the help of Nagare's ice breath, they were able to incapacitate the two salamanders that were fighting against Sir Reed, but not long after that, the Ogre grabbed him by he neck, furious about them having tricked them.

Worried, Ada was about to rush towards the Ogre but fortunately, Sir Reed was able to fool the ogre and free himself from her grasp, pinching her neck and making her fall to the ground, unconscious. Ada was amazed by Sir Reed for a moment. She didn't know he was so strong that he could knock out an ogre with just a pinch.

With their opponents either frozen, unconscious or knocked down, Sir Reed quickly rushed towards Nagare, shouting that she should fly and carry them to the guild before their opponents were able to chase them. Glancing towards Ada and Ditzy, he suddenly asked if they were afraid of heights. While the question was a bit strange, Ada knew they didn't have time to think and simply rushed towards Nagare, waiting for Sir Reed and Ditzy

Freyr

As Vivian began explaining the situation to Yang and Kira, Freyr couldn't help but to sigh as he was reminded of how 'delicate' that situation was. He could only hope that the saying that Vivian mentioned was indeed wrong... Fortunately, their 'guests' were indeed well behaved, at least until now. Even as Yang and a few other members sat down to eat, there was no complains or fights.

After voraciously devouring the food the Altissima sisters made for them, the devil bugs and the giant mice seemed to be finally satisfied. As their 'guests' started getting up, one of the giant mice thanked the Altissima sisters for the food, adding a quite concerning statement to her thanks, that they would tell everyone about the food they ate, which immediately made Freyr look towards the Altissima sisters with a worried expression.

Thankfully, other than becoming a restaurant for devil bugs, rats and whatever other type of creatures their guests hanged out with, there didn't seem to be any immediate problems or complications, since the devil bugs and the giant mice seemed to be upholding their part of the agreement.

Freyr was about to express how relieved he was when one of the devil bugs suddenly mentioned that she wanted to take at least one man from the guild. Before Freyr or anyone else could even express their concern with that statement, one of the giant mice mentioned that it was fine, since it was very likely that the men were already taken, giving an example of Freyr, who was covered by Haley's scent, saying he and Haley probably already had lots of sex.

With that statement catching Freyr by surprise, made only worse by Kira's laughter, he could do little but to look down after looking at Haley, Kira and the rest of the group, his face burning with embarrassment, not knowing what to do or to say.

The giant mice and the devil bugs were quick to leave the Guild after that, surprisingly upholding their part of the deal without any problems. After they left, Haley, who was still embarrassed, mentioned that they were lucky that the only man around for their 'guests' to see, Freyr, was already taken.

"Erm... We were lucky that they didn't make any trouble..." Freyr said, stumbling on his words as he tried to regain his composure.

Just as Kira began explaining how the location of the guild made it likely that wandering groups of mamono could stumble on it, the sudden noise of horses and for some reason, armored boots just outside of the guild alerted them.

Completely oblivious to any sort of danger that might come with it, Freyr simply followed Yang and Kira outside, thinking it was probably Bart and Yang just wanted to be sure he would say that the money was from his request, as she had asked him to do when they arrived.
Hey! sorry for the delay, work got really crazy this last week (and since the world seems to hate me, college as well... at the same time.) things are beginning to calm down now. Promise I'll have a reply tomorrow!

Myra was visibly disappointed when Astra looked at her with confusion after Myra began trying reply to her questions. Fortunately, Vrexen soon began explaining to Astra. Myra would have been a bit wary about the low growl and Vrexen's eyes as he looked at her if it was a while ago, but by now, Myra already knew how unstable Vrexen was and this was nothing compared to what happened a while ago. Instead, Myra just looked at Astra, letting out a faint smile, despite how weird she felt, as she nodded her head, almost confirming what Vrexen had said.

Astra continued talking with Vrexen, but at this point, Myra was starting to get worried about how she was feeling and focused on her own body, trying to understand what was happening. She definitely didn't get hurt recently, nor she ate anything with a strange taste... other than the meat Vrexen gave her, but even that was still meat, even if tasting a bit different, not in a weird way though. After a few moments, Astra looked at her again, mentioning that it would probably get better if she just looked towards the weird old, dark-skinned man or laid down looking backwards. Nodding towards Astra, Myra carefully went to the back of the boat, sitting down with her tail around her and both of her hands on the railing with just her head poking out as she kept looking towards Daka, slowly getting smaller and smaller on the distance.

Myra held up the map as per Astra's request, trying her best to pay attention to her explanation as she pointed towards a few different places on the drawings. Thanks to Astra's clear and concise sentense as she explained where they were, Myra finally began understanding what was a 'map'. Lowering the map to her chest and looking over it to the place Astra had pointed towards, Myra was surprised to see that the place they were, or as Astra called, "Daka" was so small compared to the other places on the map. While she knew that the island had a limited space, she still thought it was pretty big. The other place she had pointed towards though did make Myra curious. In the map, it was drawn as a huge tree. Considering the size the entire island "Daka" was, that tree should be bigger than any other tree Myra had seen in her life.

With Astra's explanation finished, after thanking Myra for the help, the group was ready to move. With a crack of his whip, the old dark-skin made the apparently-not-so-stinky fish-horses begin to swim. While the initial yank Myra felt when the boat began to move did startle her a bit, it wasn't nearly as much of an issue as the constant rocking of the boat as it moved through the water was for Myra, making her feel a bit dizzy and upsetting her stomach. She was still considering if she should lie down to see if that would make her feel better when Astra called her making a few strange questions.

Myra tilted her head, looking at Astra with a confused expression. While she coud somewhat make sense of a few words Astra said, Myra simply didn't know how to answer those questions. For her, being quiet was not something she did knowingly, it was just how she normally was. Other than when she wanted to defend her hunt from other creatures that might want to steal or try to intimidate them, hissing, Myra didn't really feel the need for making any other noises.

After thinking for a few moments, Myra looked to Astra again, opening her mouth almost as if she was going to try saying something but hesitating and closing it soon after. After that, she pointed towards the sun and then opening her hands, showing all her fingers many times, in a clear indication she had absolutely no idea of how many 'days' old she was.

No matter how much they ran, the Vuothoran continued relentlessly chasing them. Not only his sheer size and weight, coupled with it's extremely aggressive disposition enough of a threat, but as the chase continued, Nuallán could feel the creature gradually closing the gap between him and the rest of the group. Fortunately, Sophie seemed to be recovering from her shock. Even though she was still clearly in panic, she was still willing to show some initiative as she said she should begin running instead of being carried. Unfortunately, even though it would probably help, it would only do so for a short time. If the Vuothoran continued chasing them, he would soon be able to catch up to their pace.

Desperately, Nuallán looked to the group and then began looking around trying his hardest to think in a way to solve the situation. They were incredibly unlucky in having met that specific creature. Vuothorans were known for being notably difficult to deal with for a number of reasons. One of them was his tendency to relentlessly chase it's prey, being incredibly hard, if not almost impossible to make it lose interest. With no other answer in sight and ready to throw his own safety away if that meant saving Lady Rosaria, Aurora and the rest of the group, Nuallán was already reaching for his throwing knives as he looked over his shoulder towards the Vuothoran. Even though he knew he had no hope in a fight against it, he could try to attract it's attention towards himself instead of the group and lead them away from them. That would not only take the danger away from them, but it would be easier for a single person to try to lose or outspeed the Vuothoran than it would be for an entire group to do so.

Fortunately, before Nuallán could do anything, Sophie, who was in a state of shock until only a few minutes ago, did something unexpected. With the adrenaline and the fear of death as a catalyst, Sophie ended up using her ability, even though it was not her intention as she threw her arms in front of her face to protect herself against the approaching creature. Surprised, Nuallán watched as bolts of electricity were fired towards the Vuothoran, making it fall down to the ground. Even after that, Nuallán knew that it wouldn't stop the creature, instead it would only slow down as he knew he would continue chasing them the moment he regained his composure. Even though, those precious seconds that Sophie bought them would not be wasted.

The very moment the creature began regaining it's composure, three light elves suddenly appeared from among the trees, quickly surrounding the Vuothoran, shouting for Rosaria to run.

"No!! Don't try to fi-" Nuallán shouted towards the elves, turning his head only to see the moment when one of them was grabbed by the Vuothoran and thrown into the creature's powerful jaws, followed by the gruesome sound of screams, followed by the sickening sound of bones cracking and flesh being crushed and torn by it's teeth. Hopelessly, Nuallán watched as the other two elves began blasting with magic instead of running away.

With no choice but to continue running, Nuallán clenched his fists in a mix of frustration, anger and sadness as he forced himself to continue running. He should have heard the Vuothoran's steps sooner, he should have been harsher on the humans when he said for them to be silent, he should have considered the possibility of the group being intruding on a Vuothoran's territory when they entered the forest... But he didn't. No matter how one might want to phrase it, there were no excuses. Even if the circumstances that led to meeting the Vuothoran were unavoidable or completely out of his control, that didn't change the fact that three brave soldiers died in the end.

It took about ten minutes of running before the group felt that they were safe enough to stop to rest on a clearing. Nuallán's dark expression was like an iron mask as he silently heard Rosaria's words. His emotions, indecipherable for all but those who were incredibly close and knew him very well.

"Please, take your time to rest and recover. Any questions or requests you might have, I will ask you to direct them to me or Aurora for the time being." he said, using of politeness and formality as a mask, something he was very experienced in doing due to his years of training and experience as a butler.

"Our journey will be long and dangerous. Although you are under our protection for as long as you remain Lady Rosaria's guests, let what happened be a lesson. Even though we are skilled and powerful, we are not immortal nor omnipotent and there are many creatures in the world of Avalia which are best left undisturbed." he said, his voice much more serious.

"Your role and your importance makes your lives and your safety a priority over most. Please be aware of this fact." He finished after delivering a heavy sentence with a multitude of meanings as he walked towards Aurora.

"I am terribly sorry for asking this of you so soon but... The humans might need your assistance calming their hearts... Now more than ever." He said in a low tone and with a discreet bow to Aurora.

"My lady, are you unharmed?" he asked, bowing towards Rosaria as he presented himself, worried about her well being, especially after realizing why she had walked away from the humans. Despite his apparent calm, Rosaria would probably be able to guess what he was feeling, due to the time they spent together.

Myra was still sniffing the weird fish-horse creatures, trying to decide if the mild 'fishy' smell could be considered as 'stinky' or not, when the man suddenly shouted at her. The creatures already nervous due to how close Myra was, snapped and started to trash around, with one of them quickly turning it's head towards Myra and trying to bite her, making her quickly jump back and look at the creatures again, hissing and showing her teeth at them, clearly unsatisfied with their hostile reaction.

Fortunately, the conflict between Myra and the strange creatures was avoided when Astra called her, making Myra turn towards her, giving one last, sharp look towards the stinky fish-horses and then enter the boat.

The moment she entered the boat though, Astra suddenly asked her to hold the 'map' she had stolen earlier while she spoke with Vrexen and the old dark-skin. She didn't really understand why there was that strange atmosphere between Astra and Vrexen as they talked to each other but since Vrexen didn't seem to be as 'unstable' as he was before, Myra thought everything would be fine.

It didn't take long until Astra returned, saying she found them a way to leave the island. While Astra did seem to be better than she was before, she made another strange expression as she looked to the bloody spot where the body was before she left. Thinking she was still hungry, Myra approached Astra with the bit of liver she had kept for her, offering it to her with a curious expression. She would probably be happy after eating something and wouldn't make the same strange expression again. Or at least that was what Myra thought that the expression Astra made was.

Myra heard curiously as Astra started speaking about strange creatures, such as a 'stinky-fish' and the 'stinky-fish-horses' that apparently were used by the person they were going to meet to transport people. Judging on how excitedly Astra was speaking about them, Myra's imagined that they would be really awesome. Even if the names of these creatures suggested that they weren't exactly nice to be around.

When they finally arrived, Myra could immediately see why Astra was so excited when speaking about the stinky-fish-horses. Just like the name, the creatures were somehow a mixture of a horse, just like many dark skinned people used to carry their things and a fish. Despite the strange appearance though, they did look like they were fast swimmers. The only thing Myra still needed to verify was if they were really stinky.

Even though Myra didn't really like stinky things, due to her powerful sense of smell, her curiosity wouldn't simply let her leave such strange creatures and not investigate them. As such, Myra carefully approached the edge of the dock, leaning forward and getting close to the creatures and sniffing the air around them, too distracted by the stinky-fish-horses to realize that Astra and Vrexen were already entering the strange vehicle.

Despite how dangerous the situation appeared to be with the entire house filled wiith traps, Faye didn't seem to be that worried. Sure, it was risky, but due to both the nature of her own ability and her already somewhat reckless nature, she didn't fear for her own safety. Still, it was good knowing that Micheal had a previous experience in a very similiar situation, as it became evident by hearing his comment.

"That sounds much more like a fortress than a drug dealer's den." Faye mentioned as she heard Whiskeyjack's description about the place.

Just as Michael finished giving his suggestion to look for the control room to Amanda, she began telling the group what they would do next. Faye was very surprised when Amanda asked Morgana to enter and disarm the traps. Even though she knew Morgana only for a short period of time, she could already imagine how much she would hate that task. Faye's prediction would soon be proven true as Morgana reacted to Amanda's words.

As Amanda mentioned that she and Ullross would be on lookout outside the house, Faye waved to him with a kind smile before turning to Amanda again, hearing to her explanation.

"Mines? Cool!" Faye said with an excited expression as she looked over the shoulder to where Amanda said the mines were.

"I know, I know... Before you guys say anything, I promise I won't go near them... Nor blink something at them to watch them go off or something..." she said with a sigh, rolling her eyes.

"It will definitely be boring though... Well, at least we can talk until they're finished, right?" Faye said, approaching Ullross to talk to him when Micheal suddenly let out a loud shout to the skies, making Faye jump, startled.

"Hey! What's with the shoutin-" Faye began complaining as she turned to Michael, only to stop mid-sentence when, surprisingly enough something replied to Michael's shout.

After that, Micheal shouted again and once more, something replied to him, the sound coming closer. After the third time, Faye and the rest of the group could already hear the thumping noises of something big approaching them. It was only then that, out of nowhere, a huge sasquatch approached the group. Big and furry, straight out of the tales and stories that most people in the USA seemed to love so much.

The exchange between Michael and the creature lasted for only a minute, before the creature went back to where it came from and Micheal began telling the group what he had discovered.

"Whoa, that was definitely something I wasn't expecting." she said, surprised.

"Who would've thought, though. It turns out that the crazy americans who keep talking about bigfoot on the internet weren't crazy after all!" Faye said, laughing.

Just as the bigfoot left and Micheal finished speaking though, they were surprised with the arrival of a new member of the team. According to Amanda, she was a 'contractor' or in other words, a mercenary. Truth be told, she really looked the part with the black body armor and the knee pads. What really drew Faye's attention though was the nickname Scarlet, how she introduced herself, mentioned. "Venom Bean"

"That is a funny nickname!" Faye mentioned, laughing.

"Hey! I'm Faye. I don't think I have a nickname though. To be fair, nor do I have experience in these type of things or even a military background soo..." Faye said, shrugging with a chuckle.

"Anyways, pleased to meet you. I'm Faye Hayward. I can blink and make portals." Faye mentioned with a smile as she introduced herself to Scarlet.
