Background: To be born without a master- a parent. It’s quite lonely. But what’s worse is when one knows what it’s like to have a connection, only to have it stripped away for something “greater.” PB-1 discovered the world just a dozen years ago. He was small and simple, but he was meant to fulfill the same purpose he has now. His father had a vision, and that vision was his own. PB-1’s purpose, his existence was for his mast- his father. The first step was to be suitable enough to join the Ultimates. Why? Because they supported the vision. His initial attempt to join was denied, so he made upgrades. Those came with a few sacrifices, but it would ensure the vision came to fruition. Kil- subduing mutants was part of the vision. A small part, but it was necessary, though unfavorable.
However, it wasn’t really up to him. PB-1 did what he was created to do. He moved when he was told to, his words were not his own. His movements, his reactions, his vision… They were not
his. They were his father’s, his maker’s… his master’s.
