Mission Four - Knives in Phnom Penh

Numbers, tactics, cover, and overlapping fields of fire, all wore down Dior's squad of assassins, whose augmented senses and speed were simply not enough; four of them were killed, perforated by a combined assault rifle, submachine gun, and sniper fire before Len managed to save the remaining three through his sneak attack. Nevertheless, Dior's squad managed to bring down thirty-five of the three hundred combined Gendarmerie and Special Forces Command of the Cambodian Army assigned to protect Prime Minister H.S. from retaliation after his brazen break with international norms.
Len had brought down another seven during his purge of the Snipers; that meant forty-two overall losses for the defenders, but that wasn't enough; these soldiers were proof that Arms Masters were not invincible against mundane weapons and fighters who could use them well.
Kaden, meanwhile, still had sixty-three guns firing in his general direction, trying to suppress him; at least that was twenty-six fewer weapons firing at him, right?
As for the three remaining members of Dior's assassin squad, they launched a counterattack that killed five more Cambodian elite soldiers and injured two; this eased up the pressure on Dior himself, who had used the cover his death squad had brought to sneak, fight, and maneuver himself to where his Noble Arm, a razor locket, can project six sharp-edged, icy-cold mirrors that launched beams of cold in all directions at a rapid rate of fire, flash-freezing metal, plastic and rubber as the fleshy soldiers used the armored vehicles they brought as their cover, armored vehicles that nevertheless had their guns and ammo grow so cold that heating them again by firing them just caused the metal to snap.
Dior received no return fire as he continued towards the doors of the National Assembly Building, where sandbags, a machine gun nest, and a grenade launcher were set up, all of which failed to fire back...

The Cambodians had stockpiled a lot of Anti-Aircraft ammunition before and during the ASEAN War, and were emptying it recklessly into the air, forcing Lotus Squadron to dance away to evade the sheer weight of fire protecting the Royal Cambodian Army's Gendarmerie HQ.
As for the Royal Cambodian Air Force, they saw the Russian and Venezuelan mercenaries hired by the Prime Minister start to rampage around their homes and families, and that sealed their determination to return to the ASEAN fold. They began strafing these goons, using the bare minimum of fire needed to avoid collateral damage, and when the guns-for-hire gathered in one place or occupied a relatively empty building, retribution was swift; they died.

But now, a million-dollar question needed to be asked: Where was Task Force Obsidian? Had Noel's capture plus the injuries sustained during the initial Cambodian Ambush gutted them so badly? Or was Special Liason Lei Qingshe's loss a deeper wound?
Would the members of TFO choose sit out this most vital engagement?
Prime Minister H.S. got a call from his son, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Army, H.M. He instinctively opened his phone to answer it, and a bright flash of light filled the National Assembly chambers as Myron Makraig, temporary commander of Task Force Obsidian, teleported himself and maybe Marta, Nil, Nico and Aoi (assuming they volunteered) into the large room using the Prime Minister's own internet connection as his conduit.
His Floro-Mk2 Submachine Gun was pointed at Prime Minister H.S.'s face, even as his security detail pointed heavy pistols at him and those who may have joined him (if any).
Impasse.

I'm Suki! I'm a 30 something year old with two jobs. Outside of work I also like being creative, writing fanfiction, crafting, cosplaying, and voice acting. I've never been on this site but have been roleplaying on various sites when I was a kid and not good at making great replies. I've been on Gaia Online for about 10ish years with roleplaying and RP Nation recently.
Mainly joined cause I want to get back into roleplaying but with my schedule I'm also scared to join and not have the time to reply. So we'll see if I end up joining but like I said it's something I want to do. "Thanks, Aurélie; I'd be honored to fight you in the simulators," Mykhailo replied to the Frenchwoman, before replying to his fellow 'silver-spoon child', "And yes, Fuka, next time, I'll ask someone to take the food to the Women's dorms - I forgot about the existence of the staff; no offense to them."
Then he followed the female pilot to the simulators, anticipating a fierce fight; he knew not to underestimate a strong and assertive woman.
A few hours later, he realized that, as he won through the skin of his teeth, Aurélie was holding back the true extent of her skills, and he looked at her directly as the both of them got out of the simulators so he can outright tell her he knew.
"I got lucky and you were holding back," were the twenty-one-year-old's exact words. "It seems you're wary enough to hold back some tricks; had I been lulled into overconfidence by that, I could be dead next time I fight."
His eyes glinted with... something before he continued, "You're a great pilot; I read enough of the superficial similarities of your backstory to Valkyrie's. I am honored to have had the chance to pretend I shot you down, and also to have tasted the sharpness of your wit. Let's have a fiercer fight next time when the opportunity strikes."
I like you but in a different way than Valkyrie and Fuka. That does not mean I trust you, you lovable rogue. But for now... We can use how skilled you are.
Then he went to the men's dorms to shower, put on his nightclothes, and then sleep; he had a long day tomorrow.

Brief Description: Thai Arms Master deployed to Phnom Penh to punish the Cambodians.

Crystalization (Red Chau) - Any living flesh cut by Red Chau's sword slowly crystalizes until the person dies, the damage is reversed by another Noble Arm, or Red Chau wills it to reverse on its own (cutting off the cut flesh is also an option). Wood, natural fibers, and bone (including ivory) are immune, as well as hair and animal horns.
Liquification (Blue Chau) - Any inorganic material (stone, metal, plastic, concrete) cut by Blue Chau's sword quickly dissolves into liquid; this includes vehicles and walls. This ability does not affect living flesh and organic materials like wood, but those can still be cut by the blade like normal. Unlike Red Chau, Blue Chau cannot will the damage to reverse.
Unnatural Agility (Blue Chau) - Blue Chau is just fast enough to avoid bullets.
Barrier Skin (Red Chau) - Red Chau emits an energy barrier close to her skin that allows her to withstand most calibers of bullet and even one Anti-Materiel Rifle Round. This, however, saps her Persistence and thus she prefers to swap with Blue Chau every other minute in combat.
