I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio
Hello! Welcome to my little bio.
Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).
Name: "Ah yes, the immutable fact. One of the few things that defines a person. Tell me, what is yours..." Gender: "Don't be shy. I already know everything. Hm? Your new body doesn't match the old? Hahah, whatever are you implying?" Appearance: "Mhm, I ran out of human bodies. Sorry about that, so I had to mix in a few other things on some. Tee-hee~"(OOC note: You do not have to appear entirely human if you do not want too. Just mostly human and organic. Nothing too monstrous. Mostly for any notable markings/deviations from the norm.) Goals: "Any...aspirations, or goals? Things you want to accomplish in this new world, or before?" Past Life: "I know, I know, but please. Tell me, even if it is painful or bittersweet. I'll listen. I need to know what makes you, you..." Abilities: "Your body is already in peak physical condition. I made sure of that myself. Can't have you dying to some random angry deer, now can we? Let me take a look, and see what defines you..." [OOC Note: Everyone will start with these: Physical Conditioning: Peak human Your body is naturally tough, durable, and strong. The pinnacle of human physical strength, endurance, and agility. Keep training, and surely you can surpass even stronger beings. Soul Flare: The ability to turn ones soul into a weapon itself. Needed for most basic magical feats. Channel the mana present in the air through your body to achieve great feats. Allows one to interact with supernatural things, and perceive things others may not. Everyone will also be getting ONE unique ability that I will determine upon the acceptance of their CS. I am of course, open to suggestions should you have something specific you want to give a character. Don't make it too OP though. The Goddess will drop a meteor on you.] Inventory: "You'll start with nothing. Sorry, I'm not a weapon smith or weaver...though you do have clothes. Probably~"
I am mostly using this as a log to keep everything straight and so I don't always have to fish for a description of something. As such, everything here can roughly be described as public knowledge.
However, do be smart about this sort of thing, hm? Don't go making me question how your character knows something they reasonably shouldn't just because its posted here.
"Aaaah, its her-ah what do I-
ahem...sorry. I was distracted. Yes. Nothing indecent at all. A pleasure to meet you, after all this time. You may not remember it, but I took ~very~ good care of you. Ahem, getting off topic again. Unfortunately as I wanted to preserve you in the most pristine way I could, so your body is a bit older model. Its affinity for supernatural feats are quite low, and perhaps its muscles aren't quite right but...fufu, you're Oda Nobunaga. I look forward to seeing your progress.
"A scholar, hmm? History is always good to know, lest you run the mistake of repeating past sins. Discovering this worlds history...I wonder what you'd do with it if you discovered it? Be in awe? Amazed? Despair? Maybe all of them? I think I know the perfect thing that you'll do well with. Go and rebuild, but do remember not to get to far ahead of your time. You should know what happens to those who do from your own world, hm?"
"I...are you sure this is what you want, my little one? I understand you've had a hard life but...mhm, no, never mind. It takes all kinds to create a world. Just be careful you are not swallowed by that darkness you court...fufu, though I suppose such a world might make an interesting story. Reject your humanity then. Unite the monsters of this world and lets see what comes of it. A tragedy or a comedy? Whatever it will be, it will be entertaining, but I digress."
Oh my. Are you trying to appeal to certain desires of mine with that appearance? I'll have you know, I'm not so easily swayed, my cat-nip loving feline.
A fighter hm...I can't say I've ever been fond of such skills, but I suppose they do have their uses. Such strength and talent will serve you well, here. Just don't get in over your head, hm? I'd rather you not die from trying to say, 1v1 an Elder Beast. Still hmm...what to give you, what to give you...your body already has strength, you can build agility well enough...magical feats are a-hmmm...ah. Egypt, hm? I might be overstepping my domain, but I think you'll quite like this.
"A burgeoning politician, I see. Do you want me to be honest? I will be anyways. I hate scheming sorts like you. Reminds me of some rather unpleasant pasts. Always stabbing each other in the back. Theft. Destruction. Then all drowned in a deep, dark, sea. But such was their fate for their folly. I suppose I shouldn't judge too harshly, however. Such methods are always necessary to ensure a place remains running smoothly. I have juuuust the thing for you, but should you misuse it - heh, well no, I won't do anything. 'Tis not my place. Don't worry, it'll only hurt for a moment."
"I knew someone like you, once. Instead of being trashed and bullied, he decided to be the one doing it himself. He rose to lead a nation, you know, in an effort to ensure people lived safely. He was eventually killed by a girl who was the opposite of everything he was because he took something from her. You have had a hard life,I apologize from pulling you from your well deserved rest, but a man of your determination is needed in this land."
"Heh...hahahaha, oh aren't you just adorable. Playing god like this! Do humans have no end to their folly? You would think they'd learn after the first fool that attempted to do that failed miserably....hmhm, or no, perhaps they succeeded in getting what they wanted. Well, no matter. I should simply damn your pitiful soul to oblivion in your realm...but...color me curious as to what sort of tale you'd weave. Go, then. Lets see where your beliefs however shallow will lead you this time. I will be watching."
"A writer of sorts, hm? We have something in common, heh, so let me ask you. What is a hero, you think? Someone who saves lives? But what if saving a life comes as a cost to the entire world? Would you find a way to do both, however impossible? Or would you buckle and make a hard decision? But then you're not a hero, are you? You can't save everyone, but you can try. Just don't burn yourself out.
Alas, I suppose, 'twas not to be. The aspiring hero was lost to a deep, dark, sea."
"You led quite the peaceful life, hm. A peaceful, noble life. I wonder if you could see it. See this world, similar to yours. Skyscrapers. Bridges that span oceans. I can't. This world never had those things, and probably never will. A single foolish human with a selfish desire could easily send everyone back to square one. But go on then. Build. Lay the foundations for generations after yours."
"My, how curious. Once I thought memories were a persons greatest treasure. After all, even if nothing else one could content to remember good things, and yet you wanted to forget. You humans continue to baffle me, but that's why I like you. Now, weave me a tale then, one who would forget everything in order to move forward."
"So many ambitious sorts, hm? Well, that's why I wanted you in the first place, hehe. I do hope you don't mind me giving you a little boon myself. That empire of yours...Britain, I think? Would have fared much better had they had me on their side. After all, the sea is one of my domains. Just try no to squander it, hm? I look forward to this endeavor of yours."
~Factions and Locations~
A small village located near the ocean. Once upon a time, worshiped the God of Knowledge, but seemed to have some falling out with him in the past at some point. The village is currently in decline, thanks to various factors. Trouble with the Elder Beast Kyrnith, a lack of children being born, and the forest growing much more aggressive. They primarily subsist off the bounty from the ocean as a fishing village.
An energetic, friendly girl that lives in Dawn. Seems to have a penchant for getting up to small mischief and learning new things. Has a tattoo of the Illuminators mark on her left arm. Likes to visit the forest, and seems to have some connection with the Kyrnith in some capacity. Doesn't seem to have parents.
The current 'chief' of Dawn. An older man that often wears robes, contemplating how to fix the current troubles of the village. Doesn't like being accredited as being the leader, however, and prefers keeping himself out of the general day to day. Trusts Akando, the leader of the Hunters.
A large hunter and the 'leader' of the hunters of the village of Dawn. Seems friendly an amenable, and seems like he's concerned for the village. Little else is known about him, but he helped some of you put down a violent beast when you arrived.
A craftsman in the village. Simple, does leathwork and his shop makes most of the weapons the village uses, and does most of the building.
A huntress that seems to have ties to the Illuminator. What that connection is isn't known yet, but she seems to be extremely skilled with all manner of weaponry. She too, also seems to be fairly loyal to Malphas for whatever reason.
The niece of King Boidmal of the Elves. Seems to have some special power within her veins, and is likely much tougher than she looks.
The King of the elves, and Leuca's uncle.
Titles: Storm bearer A powerful swordswoman wielding an arming sword and strange abilities that seem to be natural, rather than learned magic. Not much is known about her, except she has been with the Elvish leaders for quite some time, likely hinting at a longer lifespan than that of a normal human.
A trader from Chagawa, though she seems to be quite...money-hungry and doesn't care much about the quality of her products. While she does have things of quality, she likes to maximize profits by preying on gullible people.
A swordswoman that is part of Mie's Retinue. Seems a fairly serious, and earnest sort.
A friendly dwarf Stone-singer.

~The Divine~
Name: Delpithi Domains: The Oceans, Moon, Storytelling, Heroes The goddess which reincarnated you into this world. Currently little is known about her, save for her name. Seems friendly and playful on the surface, but her smile belies some ambivalence to humans.
Little is known about this god, not even her name.
Name: Rifelshka Domains: Death, the Underworld. Little is known about this Goddess. Eshka root, is named after her.
Name: Iva'Krorh Domains: Knowledge, the Mind. Also known as the Illuminator, this God rules over the Mind and Knowledge. Supposedly he has the ability to grant and take knowledge from a person on a whim, cursing people with dull minds. Seems to be a bit of a trickster god, and somewhat mad.
Name: Suthain Domains: ??? An Ancient God only recently regiven its name. Though there may be those out there that worship a certain aspect of it, they do not truly know what this God is.
You felt yourself drifting, floating, an endless twilight lit void. Moments of your life playing endlessly on repeat like a broken record before you. Accomplishments, defeat, despair, sadness, happiness...were you married to the love of your life? Watching your children grow? Perhaps you forwent those things in favor of a career, or money. Maybe you were ended far too soon before your time. Confusion momentarily besets you. Where did you get here? Were you not at home? Perhaps spending time out? A sudden, sharp pain hits you. The memories move faster, culminating into a single, painful, cracked image.
Ah.
You died.
Perhaps it was a horrid accident. Maybe you died peacefully in your sleep. So was this death? What they called seeing your life flashing before your eyes? It was oddly peaceful. You tried moving, but did you even have a body? You tried breathing, yet you could not. You had no need of it. At least your eyes worked. Probably.
Suddenly, gravity worked again.
The memories vanished into the ether. You slammed into the ground. Was it ground? There was definitely a solid of some sort beneath you, yet there was nothing but the blackness of night beneath you and the light of day above. A gentle, warm breeze follows and for a moment you almost feel like your being cradled by a warm embrace in this cold, vast, nothing.
"Another one, hm? Lets see..." A voice reaches you. The ground beneath you ripples like water as footsteps echo in the silence. Something touches either side of your face, as though someone was holding you gently. Your vision is blessed by the sight of another. Long, dark colored hair, luminescent blue eyes upon pale flesh. Yet you could still not speak. Somehow, you felt vulnerable. As though every secret, every lie, every facet of your life had been laid bare.
"Ah...You'll do. Yes, quite nicely, I think." You were released, but the comforting presence hadn't left yet, and movement still escaped you. "I do not have much time before the other finds my meddling, so I shall keep things brief. My name, affiliation, and status are all unimportant. In short, I am a Goddess, and I am here with an offer to save you from oblivion."
The twilit void rippled, a moon slowly edging into your vision, filling the twilight with the gentle light of the moon.
"Well...not really an offer. You don't really get a say in it, fufu. I'm plucking you from your world, and throwing you into another. Ah-ah, don't think your being a hero or some great, powerful summoned hero. No no, nothing like that. You'll have to work for your power, at least a little." A pause, as the moon rose, so too did the warmth fade from both this goddess words.
A gentle rain started to fall.
"That said, I'd be rather distressed if you died before you did anything, so I will be helping a little. I've already given you a new body! My finest work yet, if I do say so. I've also taken the liberty of drawing out your previous' life accomplishments and giving you a very unique ability!" The sides of your face were grabbed once again, but far were they from warm and gentle as before. Stern. Commanding. "What do I want? Simple. This world is dead. I want you to rebuild it. The people, humans, demons, and everyone else are scattered. Living in sheltered communities on this dead, frozen world. They have no future, really. Either hunted by the Elder Beasts that roam the wastes, forced to worship them for protection, killing each other for limited resources-"
The sound of cracking glass. The moon was draped in red. Cracks formed across its surface like a mirror.
"Hmph...less time than I would like. I will be putting you in a relatively safe place with others. You can find weapons, knowledge, and other things there that could help you - but do not linger. The guardian of that place will find you, and it will kill you, and I will not help once you are there."
The sound of rushing waters filled your ears, and you could feel the goddess presence fading. The world began turning, swirling and rushing around you as you found yourself being pulled downwards. Your senses started to return. Water filled your lungs. You tried swimming, but the tide was too much, the water too heavy and you sank, deeper, deeper, into the void below...
And so, here we are.
The stage has been set.
The frigid air trembles with anticipation.
So let us go over my only ground rules first, my little reincarnators.
Rules: 1. I have very few, and really, most are guidelines, but If nothing else, read this one. It is likely the most important rule here. In regards to combat - PvE should be simple enough. You do not get to decide whether or not you hit an enemy - or if your attempt at something was successful or not. I will be handling that and writing the narrative to describe how exactly you fare. Now, inevitably, especially in later stages, PvP is likely going to be a thing. At some point, this will likely cause some contention. Ideally, I'd be happy enough to let you all resolve things between yourselves, in a 1 on 1 scenario though I will step in if needed.
That said, eventually there is a good chance of an army controlled by you, clashing with an army controlled by another. I, will be determining overall who's armies successful here. I will be willing to listen to suggestions and concerns should you not like my verdict, and potentially change things...but my decision is ultimately final. If you still don't like my ruling after some discussion...well, I'm sorry but that's just the way it is.
2. I will be posting once every week after the IC goes live at the latest. I will of course be giving some leeway to those who need it or give me a proper reason. I understand people get busy and such, but I'd like this to keep moving at a GM post per week at the minimum. Faster, should everyone post sooner. I'll be pretty lenient, and worst case scenario I'll just assume your character did nothing that round.
...and that's it, really! Can't think of anything else important right now. Here's a discord link for you all. No need to join if you don't want, but I'm usually active there 90% of the day so its the easiest place to reach me.
Hey if you want to involve yourself in that sort of thing, by all means.
Basically though, all you should really ideally have to do, setup the initial polices, which will likely take place at the founding of the city, and I'll likely ask about anything else important that comes up. But as I said, this is still likely quite a ways away, and I'm still working out the kinks in how I'm ideally going to do this.
Suggestions and discussion is always welcome, though~
Expressing interest. Just outta curiousity, how will the RP be run once we move into the stage where everyone's running their own city/territory? Will it be like a Nation RP or something?
Hm, good question!
I'm admittedly, still figuring out the specifics of that as its quite a bit of a ways away. That said, I'm wanting to avoid too much number crunching and actually dealing with resource intensive things, though I'll probably be running some numbers in the back such as how well your citizens like you, manpower, etc.
Assuming you do run end up running your own territory, at that stage we'll probably be moving faster in game as we wait for various events and happenings come to fruition, so It'll probably happen something like this.
City established -> Initial timeskip once the city is formally established -> Event which requires the rulers attention. Resources/War/Threat to the nation -> Timeskip/results of that event. Repeat until we hit the point where your civilization will become known for the rest of history and taught in history books.
Don't have to worry about like, managing an army or treasury anything though: I'll be doing that for you to the best of my ability.
