Alright, from now on there will be a post-order type rule being put into place. Everybody in a scene needs to post once before someone can post again. Obviously, someone not actively involved in the scene doesn't count in the order.

Next time there is a disagreement, I'd like to settle it over a group PM with all invested parties, and myself. It is better to not clutter up the OOC with negative energy.

Draining health doesn't really make sense out of gameplay mechanics?

Time for a character who I think will play a critical role in what's to come, and who may give people conniptions depending on their disposition.

Name: Tobi

Title: The Lord of the Forge.

Gender: Physically and mentally male, but is a golem.

Appearance:

Personality: Tobi is blunt, curious, and slow to anger, slow to calm. Where as many golems lack a personality, Tobi has achieved something beyond his fellows.

Ideals: Tobi sees the world simply as a place to exist. He sees not good, or evil. Simply people, and things to do. He isn't malicious or benevolent due to this. He is just Tobi.

Biography: Created many years ago in a fantasy land by a dwarven wizard, he was created to serve a dwarven god who helped keep at bay the evils within the deep earth. However, the dwarves discovered a dark power, the power to infuse weapons with souls. As such, a god of death destroyed them with a terrible disease, but Tobi, as a golem, was immune to this. For centuries he guarded the tomb city of the dwarves who created him, until a different group of dwarves discovered him. Once found again, he set out to serve his god, and eventually became an angel of sorts, a being infused with godly power. As such, he has ascended past his golem roots to his current state. However, he in a battle against the darkness, fell into the abyss, and ended up in this world.

Powers

Soul Smith: Tobi is the last Soul Smith, beings that have learned how to not only infuse weapons with souls, but to work upon the very soul itself. Tobi is able to repair the spirits of those he encounters, or, in some severe cases, create new souls from pure magic. This allows him to create other golems, and magical creatures.

Smiting Powers: Using his magical powers, Tobi is a master smith, able to replicate and repair things to a factory quality, and far beyond. If given enough time to study a broken items made from metal, he should be able to repair it, and either improve it, or enchant it. Any metal weapons he holds also gain the bonus effect of being treated as other metals for their hardness, and as magical for hitting incorporeal targets.

Metal Control: Due to his infusement with his gods power, he shares in control over metals. He is able to heat metal, and cool metal with his focus. He can also defuse alloys, or refuse them, after pulling them apart.

True Creation: Tobi can use some of his magical powers to create matter. He can create most mundane substances, and some magical substances, such as mithral, or adamantium. He is able to create 50ft by 50ft cubes of the materials, if need be. This is how he primarily supplies himself for his smiting, creating both his smithy from this as he travels, and the metals he needs to forge.

Weapons
Forge Hammer: While not a true weapon, Tobi has brought with him a large hammer he uses as his black smiting hammer. It is effectively a large iron hammer.

Equipment: Tobi has with him black smiting tools, things such as tongs and buckets for water to quench metal. A grind stone for sharpening such things. He carries this all in a large metal chest he has on his back, wearing it like a backpack.

Universe of Origin: Custom Dnd like universe.

@Raineh Daze
He harms his enemies by healing himself with their lifeforce. Could rp it as the enemy withering slightly, while he became more lively, while his wounds close.

I mean, let's be honest, that doesn't work from a story perspective given... everything ever written about Middle Earth. But from a roleplay perspective it's only one step above trying to introduce RPG mechanics like "quarter your HP" that cause nothing but weird arguments and dissociated effects.

For instance, someone once had an ability that was supposed to quarter your HP. It opened a black hole in you. <_>

@Raineh Daze Draining health could be valid. It depends on how it's played, how descriptively it's written, and how the other player interprets it and how far they want to go with it. It's just as ambiguous as any power.

@Wraithblade6: Um, having played the game it's not health drain.

You use it to restore your arrows, as I recall. ^^; It... can kill I... think but you're not draining health to heal.

There's runes that restore your health, but not by draining it from those you kill. It's more like an "invigorated by battle" thing as I recall.

I'm forced to wonder. If you guys keep hitting Magnus with that sword, is he eventually just going to go through a mid-life crisis? Can you make him become vegetarian? Have him retire to a small Pina Colada bar?

I'm likewise curious, especially given the nature of the Warp in regards to concepts such as heaven/nirvana/akasha. Chaos in itself is both the echo of mortal emotion, worship, and action, but also the realm of the soul. In that sense, the Warp and the sort of primordial Truth of Chaos Undivided Lorgar found/is meditating on might be 40k's equivalent. Where the Gods themselves are but aspects of a greater force, one that when reached transforms one into the sort of 'god-man' many different mystical traditions talk about. After all a daemon prince of Chaos Undivided isn't really beholden to any of the four great powers, at worst they will just come into conflict and be consumed by the much stronger (yet polarized) entity.
