"Humanity takes great pride in three things. Their willpower, their greed and their mortality.

Their will and endless greed allows them to grow and accend past other creatures
But their mortality denies them divinity

It's a delightful purgatory between being Fallen and being Divine"

Truth be told, Ayita could understand why Torvi didn't trust Baraian yet. In fact, she had her own doubts about everyone there, but given the situation they were, betraying each other right now was suicide. She kept hearing in silence as Torvi and Baraian spoke with each other as Torvi handed strips of cloth for them to make a makeshift mask such as hers.

"You have my gratitude. This will surely help against this terrible smell..." Ayita said, doing the same as Torvi herself did, tying the strips of cloth into a makeshift mask.

"We were all forced into a situation were we don't have many alternatives but to cooperate if we want to live. Betrayal and infighting right now would be just suicide. Just as Torvi said, we should support each other. Once we get out of this, then we can start thinking about if we can trust each other or not. After all... It's not like we have any other options at the moment." she said. Her words, unlike Torvi's which were encouraging, were simply brutally honest.

As she finished tying the strip of cloth over her mouth and nose, which helped a lot to lessen the foul smell of the sewers and even allowed her to breathe a bit easier. Turning to Torvi, Ayita nodded, thanking her in silence.

"Funny... I once met a demon who said something similar." Ayita said, turning to Baraian with a half smile.

"Demons aren't trustworthy. They lie, deceive and scheme, but if there is one thing you can have absolute trust about a demon is on their hatred." she said with a chuckle, remembering about Inori, whom was, along with Cade, one of the first people she met when she came to this world.

"I'm not sure if it's the same for dark elves but maybe you might have some demon blood in you..." she said, jokingly.

"Anyways... At least for now, the enemy of my enemy is my friend." she finished with an exhausted sigh trying to conserve as much energy as she could. She was being sure to take the best out of every second they had to rest. Now that the foul smell was lessened thanks to Torvi's makeshift mask, it made resting considerably easier.

While Myra was surprised and alarmed when she saw the strange beams of light flying in the air, together with a light elf that approached the group, going as far as hissing and growling to him as well, the moment she realized that he was killing the spiders, she immediately stopped, acknowledging he was on their side. That said, the fact that he was also trying to kill the spiders wouldn't prevent her from being a bit wary about him. Unlike the couple whom she and Mathis had camped with, she didn't know him nor had a reason to trust other than that he was killing the spiders. Still, she knew that every help would be welcome.

Despite the strange elf arriving to help them, Myra still thought that staying and fighting wasn't a really good choice and continue on a purely defensive stance, her using her tail to create a defensive perimeter around them while swiping it in the air if any spider got too close. Knowing that they were venomous, Myra didn't want to risk striking them with her tail, instead simply kept threatening them and looking back to the girl and the blonde elf that was with her while the white haired elf that had just arrived stopped fighting for a moment as he looked to the blonde elf and started making some weird gestures as he spoke in a really strange manner. The way he pointed towards the blonde elf and to his own forehead could only be interpreted by Myra as a question if his head was unharmed or something like that. Interestingly enough, the words he said seemed to suggest otherwise due to the word 'where', which Myra knew that was used when someone was searching for something.

Despite her curiosity in the weird, white haired elf, which honestly did distract Myra for a brief moment, she quickly turned her attention to the spiders once more, while keeping looking back at the blonde elf and the girl with an urgent expression, pointing away from the spiders with a clear nervousness. Thankfully, it seemed the blond elf had understood what she was frantically trying to tell them. Giving a step forward, the blonde elf aimed his bow upwards and shot a strange, shining arrow. After a brief moment, many arrows made only of light began raining down from above, striking the spiders, killing and damaging a lot of them, enough to clear them a good and safe escape route.

The very moment he yelled them to run, Myra dashed ahead, using her enhanced senses to go as far away as she could from the spiders while being careful to not go too fast to make them lose sight of her. Thanks to her enhance sense of smell, aided by her tongue which darted in and out of her mouth as she ran, she quickly steered the group away from the spiders, stopping when they were in a safe spot.
Ada

@PaulHaynek@Restalaan@Stern Algorithm

Ada was still a bit confused by all that, but she was happy to notice that the bird maid seemed to have calmed down a bit, releasing Ditzy as she gently patted her head. While the bird maid still seemed to be a bit shaken after everything, the fact that despite her silence she was letting Ada pat her did mean that she liked it, right? It was a good thing that Ada had that idea then. Ada stood there patting Rayya for a few moments more before giving her another smile and walking back to where the group was.
At that moment, Ada heard Ozzy's voice just as he began to fly, noticing only now that Kira was already flying away in the distance. Understanding that he was going after Kira, Ada waved towards Ozzy, letting him know it was everything fine.

Despite the strange mood in the air, the situation seemed to be mostly solved with the bird maid already calmer and no one in immediate danger. Although both Rayya and Nero seemed to still be thinking about troublesome stuff, judging by the bird maid's silence, her eyes and how Nero was talking, it didn't seem like Ada or anyone in their group could do anything to solve those type of problems. That said, Nero did seem to be feeling bad too and maybe the same thing she did to Rayya could also help him to feel a bit better. With the idea that a smile and head pats would certainly make anyone feel better, Ada unceremoniously walked towards Nero while he was still talking and did the exact same thing as she did to the bird maid, before leaving him with a gentle smile and returning to the group, looking at them almost as if asking what they would do now.

Freyr

Freyr was relieved to see that Rayya seemed to have calmed down, as she released Ditzy and the situation was defused. He didn't know if his words had any impact on the outcome or if it was all thank to Kira's outburst or maybe the words the others said but he was glad it was all over. Truth be told, for someone who wasn't that good with his own emotions, having to deal with other's emotions and such types of problems was really exhausting. Due to that, he was rather thankful that Ozzy was the one who went after Kira to talk after she flew away. Not only Freyr didn't know if he would be of much help but he felt like having to deal with Rayya and Nero was enough regarding emotional problems for him.

"A doozy indeed." Freyr said with a chuckle, agreeing with Haley as he gently hugged her as she leaned her body onto his.

"I'm... not exactly the best person to solve these kind of problems so... Yeah, it was exhausting." He said as he found comfort embracing her.

"What is important is knowing that you're fine and nothing happened to you." he said, hugging her a little bit tighter.

Still, as Nero began to talk, explaining about Rayya, how he was a Black Wolf and other things, it was clear for them that his situation was more complicated than just a small misunderstanding with Rayya. That said, there was one thing about what Nero was talking about that Freyr himself could relate to. The part about his Oaths to the Black Wolves.

"... Oaths can be dangerous, Nero. No matter how you look at them, they are but shackles to bind us to something. If you don't let go of your own past, of the oaths you made, they will make you a prisoner of your own past." he said with a rather distant tone.

"I speak this from experience. I too, had to make a choice regarding an Oath I took. Unlike you though, I made the choice to break it. Even though I lost many things by breaking this oath, I do not regret my decision for I gained much more than I lost and more importantly... I now live according to my own will. With no oaths nor my past to trap me or slow me down." he said with a discreet smile.

"While I can't be of much help regarding these matters, I hope my previous experiences might help you to make a decision. One that you will not regret in the future." he finished with a smile.

Despite the initial trouble, Karina still had hopes that everything would go well, after all, the little fight the group got themselves into right now barely made any noise and it was unlikely that anyone noticed. Unfortunately for her, her hopes would be quickly crushed when, after Chres said for them to take out the jade candles and went to open the door, met with another guard. Chres was quick though, plunging his blade to the man's throat, before he could scream. As Chres charged into the man though, both of them fell into a room with six other men. Unlike the previous situation, everyone knew that there was no escaping and the element of surprise was now, ruined.

Thinking the same as her, Týfurkh immediately charged behind Chres. Paying no mind to the noise he made, he fired his heavy crossbow with an audible sound, the heavy bolt not only punching through the armor of one of the other six that were in the room, but nailing his body on the wall before he engaged another guard, using his crossbow as a makeshift weapon. Following closely after him, Karina unsheathed her rapier as she moved around Týfurkh with agile and elegant steps, using his big body to hide her smaller frame. Suddenly appearing from behind the giant, Karina lunged towards one of the guards that was next to the one Týfurkh was attacking with his crossbow, thrusting her rapier right under the shoulder plate, where there was no armor other than the gambeson. Karina could feel her blade sliding between the guard's ribs and piercing his lungs. As she pulled the rapier off the guard's chest, she rotated her wrist along with the rapier in a fluid half circle before quickly flicking her wrist, making the rapier move in a deadly arch, with it's tip cutting the guard's throat in a flash as she gave a back step, getting out of immediate range from the guard she just attacked an any other that might be too close as she readied herself for another attack.
Sorry for the delay too. Been having a busy week. College tests and will have to extract both my superior wisdom teeth...

Anyways, will have a reply done tomorrow!

Mikhail heard Jandar's words in silence, although his expression clearly betrayed his feelings. Despite Jandar and Dareen being together, something somehow still happened. Knowing Fatima, he somehow had a suspicion that she willingly put herself in a situation that made it easy for Sybl to take her away. Mikhail could relate to how Jandar was feeling. If only their situation wasn't already complicated enough, it was incredibly frustrating that things kept getting wrong... Especially when Fatima was involved. She was too naive and kind for her own good... So much it was almost foolish. To trust some random stranger just because someone was wounded...

"That woman is too kind and naive for her own good... She needs to understand the situation we're in and think more about her own safety." Mikhail said with a somewhat annoyed tone.

"Somehow I'm not surprised she left of her own volition..." he finished with a cold expression.

As he continued following them, his hand was already on one of his daggers, hidden beneath his clothes. Hopefully, Fatima's luck didn't run out yet but if it did and the situation showed itself to be exactly what both Jandar and Mikhail were fearing it was... Blood would probably have to be spilled.

The moment Jandar expressed his surprise upon hearing SaDiablo's name, Mikhail couldn't help but raise an eyebrow as he looked at him.

"Fatima and Faeril... Didn't tell you about him yet, did they?" he said with a sigh. He knew very well that such news would make Jandar even more worried than he already was.

"To keep it short, one of the conditions for the old priestess to open the portal to Kaeeler was for us to take the black jeweled prince with us... and Fatima is probably the only one that could convince him and keep him under control." he said in a low tone to Jandar, explaining what was discussed back when they met with the old priestess and what he talked about with Faeril.

The moment he finished explaining it, the group saw themselves near a cliff side, following the track Dunny had picked up. According to Dunny, the trail led further down the cliff side. As he went on, explaining that he shouldn't get himself dirty, due to how steep the cliff side was, he almost slipped, ending up being grabbed by Jandar, who explained that he didn't need to go down, only tell them where exactly the track lead.

Before Dunny or Jandar could say anything though, Dareen picked up the small sceltie, putting him over her shoulder as she started going down the cliff side after commenting that there was only one way to find out what was happening.

"Be careful, Dareen! We have no idea of what is happening. This could be a trap." Mikhail said, although to no avail as Dareen had already started going down.

"I just hope that somehow, my instincts are wrong about all this..." he said with a sigh, nodding towards Jandar as he unsheathed one of his curved daggers, assuming a combat stance and putting up a sight shield as he began following Dareen down the cliff side, ready to react in case anything happened.

The spiders were approaching the group and to make things even worse, their numbers just kept increasing in a steady pace. Due to that, Myra was starting to get nervous with the situation. Fortunately, it seemed like Mathis quickly agreed with her suggestion for them to leave. Even though she didn't know if the other two would follow her suggestion, she still looked at them with an urgent expression. Her thoughts were clear when looking at her expression, she knew that they should try to run away. Fight in that situation was very, very risky for all of them.

It was then that, with a whistle, Mathis called for his horse, which came running to his encounter. The moment he lifted Myra though, she let out a squeal of surprise as she was put on the horse as she shook her head vehemently, protesting against it. Not only she didn't really need the horse, since she would easily be able to keep up with it, but as Mathis began riding away, Myra noticed that the two others didn't follow them and were left behind. Jumping away from the horse, Myra pointed towards where the couple was fighting before giving Mathis a smile and dashing away. Despite her lack of words, her smile said enough to Mathis. He should go to a safe place himself and shouldn't worry much about Myra. After all, she could easily outrun the spiders if things got too dangerous.

Getting back to where the fight was happening, much to her own surprise, Myra saw both the male and the female ready to fight, instead of trying to run away. Didn't they know that the spiders were venomous? Didn't they see the bright colors? Not only that but if they weren't careful, they could be easily overwhelmed due to the spiders' numbers and even a single scratch would be very, very bad due to the venom.
Reappearing from amidst the trees, she ran towards both the girl and the guy with a surprising speed, jumping and stepping on one of the spiders before landing nearby them, taking a low, aggressive stance as she put herself in front of both of them, using her tail to form a defensive perimeter in order to try and at least slow down the spiders. Hissing and showing her teeth, claws and talons to the spiders, Myra looked behind towards both of them and pointing away from the spiders, urging them to follow her and run away.

Ylva was still curious about Finn. Since he didn't get she was a werewolf, she was curious if he was young and raised in a town or maybe recently turned instead of being born as one.

"That is good to hear. I would be offended if someone told me I seemed to be weaker than that meathead over there." Ylva said with a chuckle as Finn told her she seemed to be tougher than him.

"Regarding ladies, I don't know about the others but he won't have any luck with me. I don't usually go out with guys that can't throw a good punch themselves." she said with a chuckle.

When Finn told her that he didn't do cocaine when she tapped her nose, further confirming her idea that he either was a city wolf or recently turned, Ylva couldn't help but let out a hearty laugh, amused.

"Neither do I!" she said, still laughing a bit.

Thankfully it seemed like Finn himself was quick to notice what she really meant, feeling embarrassed as he scratched the back of his head. It didn't take much for Finn to notice that Ylva was really amused, finding it genuinely funny when he told her that he didn't do cocaine. It wasn't like she was mocking or being mean to him too, as it was obvious by her tone of voice and expression.

"You're pretty 'young' aren't you? I'm Ylva. From Norway by the way." she said with a half smile as she gave another sip on her drink. Judging by the way how Ylva used the phrase 'young' to describe Finn, she didn't meant his age when she said that.

When the wine haired woman began talking, Ylva turned towards her, paying attention as she mentioned the last time she had Akevitt, which made Ylva somewhat surprised. Normally, not many people knew or were fans of Akevitt. Upon the mention of the marriage of one of her Swedish friend made her laugh, especially when she mentioned the hangover.

"It does sound a lot like a typical Nordic marriage! That brings good memories." Ylva said with a laugh.

While Ylva was a bit wary regarding the woman, judging by her body movements and posture, she didn't seem to want any troubles, which made Ylva visibly more relaxed.

Strangely enough, despite the regal and 'classy' feel the wine haired woman had, she did seem to be exactly the type of person Ylva herself would get along with. The moment she made the small analogy of a 'dog-eating-dog' world to indicate she was one of her kin, Ylva looked to her with a surprised expression and a smile. Strangely enough, the woman herself could easily notice that her surprised expression wasn't due to her knowing she was also a werewolf but due to the expression she used to convey that.

"Hah! That's a good one. Never heard that one before." Ylva said with a chuckle and a small laugh, clearly referring how she used the 'dog-eating-dog' expression to convey what she really was.

"That is indeed a surprise. We have more things in common than I previously thought. Just like our little troublemaker over there said, I'm also far from being a local. I came from Norway, by the way. In case my choice of drink, name and accent didn't make it obvious already." she said with a chuckle, looking to Finn with a teasing grin.

"I'm Ylva Asulf." she said, mentioning her entire name while observing how the woman would react, just to see if she knew her clan or not.

"Cheers to that. My people always had a saying that there is no better way to know someone than a drink or a fistfight!" she said with a hearty laugh.
