Hi!

Once upon a time, there was a time after which I could no longer RolePlay. However, that in itself did not stop me from coming back to the Guild every now and again, and fawning idly over all the RPs I've ever been in past. I've had the absolute pleasure to Roleplay with some of the most talented writers I feel like the world has to offer—people that spout magic from their fingertips when they collide with keyboard. I could tag all of them forever, from artists, 1x1 partners, to GMs, to group-RP fellow cast; but I'm not going to. There is simply not enough time and not enough words I could use to describe all the love in my heart for all these many, many, amazing people.
...and of course, the rest of you reading this, who I have unfortunately still not met yet. :) I wish you wonderfully well, and hope that your year only looks better, and gets better. I wish you all the happinesses in the world, because all of you here are artists. You create poetry, be it effortlessly or otherwise. You are all indescribably amazing.
Thank you for letting me come back time and again to the Guild, and always catching myself smiling when I'm on my way to leave again.

Congratulations to the cast of my first ever Roleplay on this site, The Adventures of Caleb Crownest, for reaching 100 posts earlier today. May we continue to journey onward together as led by our captain, @Zapdos, as well as the lovely @Tiger and @Dusty. Let's see how much further we can push on.

Happy one year anniversary to me! With today, August 1st, it's been exactly one year since I joined RPG! Somehow it feels longer than that. I'd like to extend my thanks to all of the people I've met and all of the players and GMs that have worked with me in various RPs this past year. Thank you! It's been a lot of fun. I hope I've loosened up a little since my early days on this forum.

Although, I'm grateful for everyone that's written and chatted with me, there are some specific people I'd like to take the time to thank as well.

@Aviaire, @Haha, @stone, and @Cu Chulainn - for becoming good friends with me. You're all wonderful writers (and artists!) and I love seeing what you all jump into next. Chatting outside of RPs has been a lot of fun, you guys are also hilarious and it's nice to just talk with people that have similar interests. Thank you!
@Savo - believe it or not you're pretty much the first person that reached out to me here, and that one act of kindness went a long way for me. It helped me open up a bit and now I try and reach out to others too! Thank you
@Candelabra - Last but not least, thank you for pretty much everything! You've been an amazing writing partner for almost the entire time I've been on the Guild. Definitely had to follow up on this--what she definitely didn't mention was all the times I had to take breaks and slow down while I was still getting into the habit of writing consistently again. Yank's got the patience of a saint and insane work ethic I could only ever dream of matching. She somehow manages to juggle so many characters at once without ever missing a beat between them yet I never get the sense that she burns out in the slightest. I was really lucky that she found me when she did; I'm blessed to have an opportunity to write with her and anyone else with that privilege definitely is too.

3 years on RPGO and it only feels like yesterday since I first made that first foray into the world of online roleplaying. In that time, I’ve made friends, lost friends, said goodbye to old homes, entered new ones, moved across the ocean and just living my life through the moment. If I saw myself now from where I was three years ago, my reaction would most likely be one of two things. Mortified that I’m still giving my time and energy to this hobby or impressed that I haven’t given up so far.

I’d like to take a moment to recognise some specific posters on this forum.

Your roleplays are the metaphorical equivalent of a home cooked meal. Satisfying, warm and filling. They might not be the most complex or the most unique concepts but they come from a place of comfort. I have @Rapid Reader to thank for initially introducing me to you. Trust me, you’re going to go places.

@Opposition Without a doubt, the GM of the best cyberpunk RP on the Guild without a doubt. I was going to make a congratulatory post when Futility reaches 50 posts but I was never one for organisation. Your verve and drive towards pushing the envelope of roleplaying as well as creating interesting settings never ceases to amaze. I’d also like to thank you for putting up with my autophile tendencies.

We’ve said these things to each other in PMs and Private chats more times than I can count. You’re here when I need ideas to bounce off you. You’re there to tell me whether I’m doing something right or whether I’m doing something wrong. You’re there to laugh at me at some stupid dumb meme I dig up from the bowels of the internet. You’re there whenever I need support or help. You’re chill. You’re swell and you’re just a plain awesome person to know.

You’re not only a great writer (We can be all humble or self depreciating as we want but personally, I think your writing is a dozen times better than mine. That’s the truth). You are a great friend. Well, long distance friend since I live tens of thousands of miles away from you across the Pacific. Even if we by some chance move on from this site in the years to come and towards paths that offer less time to pursue this hobby.....

It’s the memory that counts.

So yeah, here’s to another year of roleplaying.

Good to hear you're enjoying the Cyberpunk. I'm glad to have a writer like you aboard the project, and I always enjoy talking with you. We've still got a look more CPAF content to go. Bombs away.

Hard to believe it has been going on for so long but as of today The Walking Dead has reached that nearly unheard of milestone of hitting the 5 year counter on the forum. I am floored. It has been a wild ride, ups and downs. This time even more so as we did a complete reworking of the Character Sheets, Layout, and game mechanics just a few months ago. It has all paid off in spades and the story telling and execution has never been better. I am so excited to see what happens next. Huge thanks goes out to EVERYONE that has ever been part of the RP. Seriously, been some amazing rping over the years. And a special thanks goes out to the current crew for being there through all the changes and handling it with all the patience and awesomeness I could ever have hoped for: @Sigil @Rivaan @ONL @Remipa Awesome. It's time to party! (Well after Hunters court martial ~hugs~)

Writing partner turned friend, then turned boyfriend of the last three years and some. The guild really does find ways for people meant to be together to be together. :) We live/d so far away and have swapped places now in physical country-status, mostly. I love this man more than anything in the whole world. He is an amazing writer. I hope you can RP with him someday because he's got some serious spunk! Action-packed scenes and character dialogue are his favourite.
...and he is mine.

I wanted to give a shout out to some of my closest friends on the Guild.

We've written together for almost three years now, some of us! I think many of you longer together. But I joined here as a friendless green little sprout, and by whatever force of magic that brought us together, I stuck around. I doubt without the support and friendship offered by you all, that I would still be here.

We've done it all, and I love each of you - you giant nerds <3

Its been such a long time since I've done proper RP, and I am so surprised over the overwhelming positivity and interest I received when I finally got the ball rolling to RP again. I've been struggling to do so for awhile, but everyone here seems much more open minded then the last place I've tried to do so.

I'm really grateful and happy that this is the case, it makes me so excited to write again ;v;

Similar to the above, shout out to the two who encouraged me in the status bar to punch that create topic button, I think it was @Jonisca and/or @Sorin and maybe one other that I forgot, plenty of people liked their statuses too but it's too late for me to go back and find those. My interest check was posted just 11 days ago now and I've already received 4 responses to it, 2 of which were interested in multiple stories. I might actually have to close the thread soon since I'm writing pretty much constantly which is amazing and way beyond what I expected. Bottom line, post your stuff even if you think it's silly, we are all our own worst critics and could use a few people who disagree.
