As we head into our seasonal major crossover event in Absolute Comics, I want to thank everyone who has stuck with the roleplay for the last four months and those who have returned after brief hiatuses. The input the GM Team has garnered from you guys has helped us going forward and ultimately we wouldn’t have a game in the first place without such an amazing, talented, and reliable core of writers. As I stated in my awards, there’s a lot of hooks that were brilliant and here’s hoping to a twice-as-successful season two when our major crossover event ends. Thank you especially to @ComradeMaxx and @Lord Wraith for helping myself become a better GM and a better player as well as allowing me to contribute in a meaningful way on the GM end.

Y’all are the best.

There are a lot of moments in Rp that a Gm can be proud of and give thanks for; the completion of an RP, an amazing arc, wonderful ships, great characters. The list goes on and on. I have been very lucky over the last four years to be able to run the gambit of such moments with the peeps in my Rps. Long running Rps have become our standard. Yet, Rps can still die from time to time. Though, I am so stoked to be able to give some massive fucking thanks to my Rpers right now. We have hit day 1000! Now, this isn't just for a single Rp or even multiple Rps. We have gone, as a group, 1000 days without a single Rp dying on us! We've had Rps complete, chapters come to an end, but an rp just dying on us? Nope.



I can't list out all the peeps that have made this happen but I can send out major kudos to the main players. @Sigil @Morose @Nallore @Rivaan @Dragoknighte @FantasyChic @ONL @BlueSky44 @Remipa Awesome @The Grey Dust @Natsu @Romero<-- seriously, the best peeps around and I am beyond fucking blessed and hexed to have these peeps around day in and day out no matter what gets thrown at them for years now. It's one thing to get a single Rp to last for years, it's another to have more than one running over 3 years, even another about to break the 4 year mark. To not have any of the RPs I Gm die for 1000 days is just...



So to them, the ones in Rps right now, the ones not listed, the ones that have come and gone over the years - it is all just one big THANK YOU from me for keeping us trucking successfully for so long. To anyone else seeing this - don't let anyone tell you that Death of an RP has to be the normal, that long running Rps are few and far between - they aren't. Find the right group and stay with it through the good times and especially the bad; it will pay off!

We did a thing!

After over 2 years, 3 story arcs and part way through a 3 role-play crossover and X-Men: Darkness Rising (currently titled X-Men: House of M for the crossover that is going on) has hit 1000 posts!!!!!! It has been a bit of a roller coaster ride getting to this point, but to think that we are still going. Let's hope that we can get a thousand more! Today The Walking Dead hits that rare and mythological mark of Four Years. Holy fucking cow. Seriously, I am floored. And while I gush about this Rp probably more than others, as it has been going on longer than any other Rp I currently have going, I don't brag on it near as much. This was the one that started it all. The long Character sheets, the lengthy rules, the putting up with nothing from anyone to keep the story going, the kick people out, push Rpers to do better. This was the Rp that really kicked the Evil Gm Overlord into Overdrive and well - it is the reason I feel that most every Rp I have started since this one kicked off as either come to completion or is still trucking itself. It has been the Rp which all my other Rps are held up against, the one that stands the test of time and the one that got the most flack when I started it. Well it is still here and is starting a whole new arc. But for now, we will take a small moment and just celebrate.



And while a big part of an Rp is the GM, the Rpers are what keeps it trucking. There have been tons of people in the RP over the years, and damn we are well over the 50 character mark that have been in this RP. Shit, over 50 have died. Didn't stop us. There area lot of Rpers out there to thank for being part of the Rp but I will stick to our active peeps, but please know anyone that has been apart of the RP I thank you.

@Sigil - Dude, you have been here since day 1 and before. I just hope the Ash curse is finally broke! Oh and about Beatrice leaving? Just means more O's for Thalia.
@Nallore - Will Riley's hair grow back? I hope so! Though she is rocking it and she has come so far since she first came in! And, I'll be nice and not mention what we have learned not to do along the way. :P
@Morose - Know you will be going on break soon but damn, it has been a hell of a time and I cannot wait for you to jump back in once things get calmer. Atticus is still waiting on a particular woman to get her ass out of deep space lol.
@Rivaan - Now, don't worry. Haven't forgotten you. So just clam down, or calm up. Either way, let's see what we can do about keeping Amelia away from Doggie.

I'm rolling these,motherfucking, men of the marching mutterings onto the red carpet for carrying cordial with me onwards. Thanks to these guys synergy I finally got an RP that I didn't ditch and one everyone kept posting in and finally passed the intro stage.

All my priror RPs have either died shortly after IC interceded or were still births. I think together we can make some bullet holes that people will look back on later on in years and motherfucking, spring out the sound waves "Fuck. I wish I was a part of this. This looked awesome!"

Not the biggest of gush moments but one worth taking a few moments for, ^^. Major props go out to my peeps of Machiavellian Masquerade: @Sigil @Nallore @Morose @Rivaan @Romero @Bluesky44 @Natsu @FantasyChic. Today we get to celebrate the RP being 1 year old. ^__^ It has been a bumpy road but things smoothed out and the group stuck it out! I cannot wait to see what happens next. Burn the place down? Start a mob? Get the last person out of confinement? Who knows, hell sometimes I don't lol. Either way, year 1 down, here is to many more to come!

Well, I found out that an entire RP group on another site had ghosted me over the weekend. Probably should've expected it since I already had to hunt down people for posts earlier this last month, but still. My other RP on that site is probably dead in the water, too, given I have extremely bare bones WIPs but nothing in terms of a completed sheet in over a week's time, and no OOC chatter. Plus, the two RPs I expressed interest in are also dead in the water--One GM never answered my questions because he never showed up again while the other RP had a GM that disappeared and no one had made sheets for it.

But at least I have @Inkarnate to share in the bitching, so props to him. I tend to bitch in DMs a lot, and I'm pretty sure I've annoyed him in the past over it, but it's nice to have someone hear you out, especially regarding the "entire RP group ghosting" since he had been rather invested in the same RP.

I mean, yeah, sure, people gonna ghost, but it's ridiculous when I'm waiting on responses only for an entire RP group to not only ignore me when I ask if anyone is posting, but also vanish from the discord without saying anything. We had a good pace and everyone was hyped up at the beginning, then I had to start hunting down people for responses before total silence. It's kind of like when the guild servers were having issues like a year ago. @Lord Wraith, thank you for creating my first group roleplays that I actually enjoyed on this site. It allowed me to rediscover my love for the superhero genre and the communities that were created as a result of these roleplays are something that I’ve always cherished. Without you, I would never have the gall to create Static or Artistonancer.

@Opposition, it’s a damn shame you aren’t creating more roleplays because your roleplays are exceptional in the amount of effort and worldbuilding you place into them. You allowed me to create OverDriver and reinstilled my faith that a good cyberpunk RP could be created on this site, even if it’s a dead genre.

Last but not least, thank you to every player of Walmageddon for the enjoyment you've given me over the past month. I hope that this rp continues well forth in the future (lol, just kidding. This rp is probably gonna crash and burn no matter what happens, amirite?)

@ClocktowerEchos - I am honoured to continue your legacy on this site. I am severely saddened that Wal-World Dead Stock tragically ended up being closed on its intro posts. You introduced the concept of a setting like Walmageddon to RPG first and I can’t bear mysef to not mention that. You offer great substantial worldbuilding along with advice about your prior experiences of running this RP.

@AmpharosBoy - You are of great service to the RP and one of the first people to express interest in this concept as a whole. Blothmerche is a highly fun character that I enjoy watching and you offer substantial content in worldbuilding as well.

@RevetheDreamer - Your character drawings are amazing and I would greatly appreciate if you could give me permission for you to do an artistic commission of the entire cast, paid, of course.

@Mercenary Lord - You offer great critique to how the system of the world functions and you are the most critical of all the players in the RP. People need to be more critical of the world as you do. You have an amazing eye for stuffing lots of detail into short, concise posts.

Being a GM isn’t fun but you made my experience of being a GM great. You have restored my self-confidence after my disastrous few attempts in trying. Thank you.

@Moskau Spieluhr, goddamn, what has it been? Seven months since you joined this site? You are perhaps the most underrated roleplayer I've ever encountered on this site. I’m not over-embellishing. I know we’ve been overly both self-depreciating in our DMs but you are genuinely a great roleplayer and a writer. The only problem with you is that you don’t give yourself enough credit. You’re not the best, or the most talented. No one is. Everyone here on this forum specializes in something. If everyone was good at everything, roleplaying would get boring. However, I have to admit that you can write better than me. Your worst beats my best by a long shot.

It’s your characterisation and ability to write out character interactions that makes you stand out from the crowd. It’s where you excel.Your characters possess an amazing amount of both originality and creativity that is unparalleled in any other roleplayer, save for a few that I know. You have a natural command of your character’s dialogue, a fatal flaw for most roleplayers on this site. Unlike most roleplayers, you’re able to execute the concept of her character on a regular basis instead of making it a self insert. Look at Vixen, look at Anansi, look at Z-Grip, look at Satra, look at Cora, look at Spellbound. Every character is a complete well-crafted dish with their own unique voice. Moreover, you’re a fun roleplayer and your writing is a joy to read. Any GM should be glad to have you as a player in their roleplay.

Moreover, you're an amazing person to talk, chat, share memes and discuss ideas with. After all, you're the one who first encouraged me to make a roleplay of an idea as absurd as Walmageddon. Oh, and thank god you're a fan of cyberpunk or otherwise I would be screaming silently in my sleep

@The Bork Lazer First of all, thank you for introducing me to this thread. Because now I am about to create a little wall of GM appreciation, starting with you. I can't think of a better way to say it, so I'll just say your writing is insane: As in pure fucking insanity, and I love it because it all absolutely makes perfect sense within the context of apocalyptic Wal-Mart. From a drunken mook ready to fall off the boat to your own character everything feels like it has life and meaning to it: And that's not as common as one might believe. Thank you for bringing an idea as crazy as Walmageddon into the forum during my time around. It's a fantastic adventure so far, and will continue to be a hell of an adventure for awhile.

While also managing to come off as fully fleshed out characters in their own right, which is impressive and noteworthy in my book. You also always listen to my thoughts on my characters and shoot me opinions, and with us having such similar minds it makes for great criticism that I am always needing. You stay awesome, ma'am. Because you're the #1 friend-o for me, and I don't ever wanna lost that. >//<

@Ambra You have provided every fandom RP I could have dreamed of, on your own. You're an impressive writer, and you are always great to just chat and meme with. Thank you for your appreciation of the themes I try to pursue with my characters, and the hours of dumb joking around we've already done. I hope we'll be able to RP together a lot more; Though between 2 groups we now share and a 1x1 that ought to never be a problem, right? :p
